"It’s the second DFW restaurant for the chain, joining the year-old spot in Downtown Dallas at 2000 Ross Avenue." - Brittanie Shey
"The countdown is on for popular Cali sandwich and salad shop Mendocino Farms’ expansion into Dallas. That’s meant quite literally: there’s a countdown clock on the company’s website ticking off the 28 days until Mendocino Farms opens up at downtown Dallas’s 2000 Ross Avenue between N. Harwood and Olive. The highly anticipated downtown spot is slated to open on Wednesday, March 11 at 11 a.m. Mendocino Farms opened its original shop in Los Angeles in 2005, and it has racked up more than 30 locations since then, including multiple outposts in Houston. The chain is known for sandwiches like “Not So Fried” Chicken sandwich with shaved, crunchy roasted chicken breast herb aioli and mustard pickle slaw; The Farm Club with smashed avocado; and Mendo’s Original Pork Belly Banh Mi on toasted ciabatta. Salads include bowl like a concoction featuring avocado, black beans, jicama succotash, and a mix of crunchy fried quinoa, millet, heirloom red rice, and nutritional yeast on leafy greens. Mendocino Farms is currently hiring for its Dallas location, and there will be a hiring fair on Saturday, February 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2000 Ross Ave., Suite 100." - Adele Chapin
