This is the best Mendocino Farms location in Houston without a doubt! Raul the manager keeps the restaurant absolutely clean and the food definitely tastes better here than other locations! Healthy, homemade 😍😍😍😍😍 We come all the way from Cypress just to enjoy this amazing place! Thank you!

Such a lovely and cute vibe inside—bright, welcoming, and stylish without trying too hard. It’s an order-at-the-counter setup, but don’t let that fool you—customer service is still top-notch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel personal. The food is super fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, with great portion sizes at a really fair price. Plus, it’s kid-friendly, which makes it a great choice for families looking for a casual yet quality spot to eat. Highly recommend!

After my yoga class nearby, I decided to try this cute place and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. Houston is not short of sandwich/salad type of restaurant, I have tried a few but don't find any place to be standing out. I came in around 10 minutes before closing time and placed an order for Chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich. There was little bit of waiting time but no big deal as they were cleaning up and preparing the food at the same time. The staff was really nice, accommodating and even offered me a cookie for my patience. To be honest I didn't expect much but the sandwich turned out to be tasty and fulfilling you can tell they use good ingredients. The meat was tender; crispy bacon with just right amount of sauce. The sesame toast was amazing I could eat it on its own. It kinda reminds me of Vietnamese sandwich so you know it's good bread. I will definitely find a location near my place to try other items on the menu soon!

Love the Greek lemon soup I have and the Hippie Sandwich for brunch together with my friends. The portion is big that I have to take the other half home and ate it for dinner. Love the green veggie juice too. The ramen salad could be good for 2 also. I have to get a refill for it. Worth the money spent. Will bring my family here next time.

I love this restaurant! The food is always so fresh and tasty and the servers/cashiers are super kind and helpful. I was most impressed by the dedication of one of the servers/bussers Corton/Colton (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong), but he was amazing!! Hustling around to make sure everyone had what they needed and that the tables were always cleaned promptly, and he was always opening the door for guests as they came in and out of the patio. What an awesome guy! Highly recommend this place (:

The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients that really brought out the flavors. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. I had the thai mango salad, and it was superb. I’ll definitely be returning!

came here for the first time and enjoyed the avo turkey green salsa! However it did upset my stomach and i ended up extremely sick afterwards :( but i think i just got unlucky this day. regardless i would come back and try something new. good place for a nice quick bite

We use Mendocino Farms Catering for most of our events at our tennis facility. They're well priced, very accommodating, and the food is always a hit. They do it right.

Came here for a quick little meal and was reminded why I love this place so much! First off, the area itself is such a cute little spot--perfect for a casual dinner or quick bite with friends or family. Tonight we got the seasonal GOAT with pink lady apple, the "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich, and a large side of basil pesto salad shells. The seasonal salad was light, fresh, and full of flavor--definitely a hit--but I wasn't the biggest fan of the balsamic dressing it comes with. I swapped it for the Baja Green Goddess dressing, and that combo was perfect. The Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich was a winner as always--never a miss, especially with that mustard marmalade that ties it all together. And honestly, the basil pesto shells might've been the best part of the whole meal--so flavorful and comforting. The staff were super sweet and helpful, and the environment was very family-friendly. Overall, a great experience all around!

Excellent service, the workers were eager to help and explain and even give out what their favorite sandwich was. Ingredients tasted fresh and clean. Very clean restaurant as well. I would come back! The peach and hot honey prosciutto worked out very well, i was very surprised. The chicken parm was super tasty as well.

I've been meaning to check this place out as I love coming to MKT area!! We went for a bike ride, and decided to stop to get lunch. I ordered the "Not So Fried" Chicken and shared with my husband. It was very good and reminds me of the Local Foods Chicken Sandwich, but a little better to be honest. I don't feel so lethargic after eating it. It comes with the mustard pickle remoulade and it's delish! They have both indoor and outdoor seating, all covered which makes it nice. We sat on the patio, and after ordering, just scanned the table to let them know where we were seating. Service is efficient and all the workers are very kind and welcoming. A very chill vibe!

Stopped in for lunch. I ordered the turkey avo and the hummus salad. Everything was prepared fresh and flavorful. It was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. The sandwich is warm, the turkey tender and seasoned and the peppers and avocado so yummy. I enjoy the warm and welcoming decor and the location. It can be a little hard to find parking near as there are so many options in this Plaza.

My experience at Mendocino Farms felt bizarre, but not in a bad way; I simply could not identify a single flaw with this establishment. I stopped by for a late lunch last Monday before the winter storm. The entire place looked welcoming with an abundant variety of comfortable seats to choose from and even had outlets near the floor for anyone that wanted to get work done. Not a single crumb in sight. Maegan cheerfully took my order and was a joy to be around. My Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich came out in about 5 minutes. "Not so fried" since the chicken itself does not contain any breading, and the crispy texture comes from their proprietary Mendo's Krispies ingredient. It's an impressively sized sandwich for only $12 (in the Heights, no less!) with no shortage of layered flavors on toasted ciabatta. I opted for the mustard pickle remoulade sauce with added a nice little savory kick. I also appreciate a clean bathroom. The mens restroom looked just as well-maintained as the dining area -- a rare sight anywhere. It's even more incredible when I consider the fact that I only saw one employee running the entire show. Maybe Maegan had someone had helping her out back in the kitchen but even then, I wonder how hectic the peak hours must look. Let's recap. The place looks nice, my server was friendly, my cheap sandwich tasted great, and the purchase supports farmers. What else am I suppose to ask for? I hope to revisit soon.

Not too sure what's up with this location but twice now I've ordered the Caesar and it's incorrect. There's cabbage and arugula which aren't part of the Caesar and no kale which is the main selling point of the Caesar here. The lettuce quality has been sub par as well with half the salad being wilted or brown.

I love this place so much! The food is super clean and healthy, and you never feel heavy or sluggish after eating it. They just added a new seasonal salad, and I'm honestly upset it's only here for a limited time... it's my favorite thing ever.

SUCH A SOLID AND SUPERB SALAD SPOT!!!!!!! My friend introduced me to this place and recommended I try the chef's creation- the "hummus pita crunch salad." First off, the service was amazing. The employee was radiating so much joy and positivity! I didn't need help choosing what to get since I was already set on getting the seasonal salad. They have a water dispenser, which was greeeeatly appreciated. Since we were dining in, all we needed to do was scan the QR code and input our ticket number so they could deliver our meals to our table. The salad was BIG and so so filling. I could barely eat half, having to take the rest of it home. The ingredients are FRESH fresh. I srsly don't like tomatoes, but the organic tomatoes they used were ridiculously delicious LOL. I thoroughly enjoyed the pita chips cuz it added that nice crunch, and the chicken was divineeee. Love me some protein. There are so many toppings throughout the salad, but they all combine so well together. I couldn't imagine anything more or anything less. The pomegranate ranch was such a surprising combo to me, but it was darn tasty!! The inside is gorgeous with the blue all around and the natural lighting coming from the windows. Mendocino is located inside the MKT plaza, which I had never visited before. There are a ton of different places to check out. It was very neat. Parking lot can get filled. I was lucky enough to find a spot towards the back. I hope they can expand their business to the Katy area- it'd be a hit!!

I love love love Mendo - I love the way they create these salad, the inside vibe, the new items on the menu, the quality of food. everything excels. There are so many salad places around Houston but Mendo was able to create their unique branding with the signature chicken sandwich ( although I like their steak sandwich a lot more) and their creative salad. I usually get Thai mango, but since they've got this new salad with hummus and pita crisps + pomegranate ranch, I just had to try it. Gosh, I can't forget the taste of the hummus, the combination of greens (and I tastes mint too), and the organic tomatoes. I took my friend who hates salad to here and got her the hummus salad and she loved it. She even ordered another one for her fam. Anyways - It's a hit, it's always a hit. and I'll def come back for the hummus salad again.

First time trying the heights location and it was as good as any! We got the chicken pesto caprese with couscous, turkey avocado salsa verde sandwhich with chicken tortilla soup Both sandwiches were so delicious, the couscous was cold and refreshing, and the soup was warm and hearty. Will definitely be back!

This was my first time coming here, and I've always wanted to try this place since I was craving for something healthy yet fulfilling. I came here during my lunch break and was hoping for a quick and relaxing eat, but it ended up being the opposite. The place is a in a cute plaza with lots of parking, but parking does get limited around lunchtime. When entering, the place is very spacious and cute. Everything was clean and it was super bright inside. Ordering my food was super quick and easy, and I think if you tip they ring a cowbell? Waiting for my food was the main issue though. I only have an hour lunch break and by the time I got there and ordered my food, I would only have 40 minutes to eat. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for my food. The workers seemed very unorganized and didn't know whose order was what, etc., but they were still apologetic. It just sucked that I only had 5 minutes to scarf down my food and head back to work. The food was good. I ordered a turkey avo sandwich with tomato soup, and both were good. The sandwich was slightly warm and the soup was hot, but it's just too bad that I had limited time to eat it and couldn't enjoy it as much. Overall, I give it a 3.5/5

I came here just 2 weeks ago with my friend and mentee for lunch. We walked in and immediately were greeted by someone and we were standing at the front looking at the menu. I guess we looked lost or confused because there were 2 different employees who approached us while we were looking at the menu asking if we needed help, giving us their suggestions and recommendations for food, and then said once we're ready we can step up to the cashier. I think it was alittle redundant because were still looking at the menu when the 2nd person approached us, which they hadn't asked the person behind the cashier if they had greeted us already, which they had. Maybe alittle pushy but still good attention to the guest. I ordered the Thai salad with dressing on the side with a soup on the side as well. My friend and mentee also ordered a salad with dressing on the side. We got our number and found a booth to sit in. The food was good, the ambiance was good, it wasn't too crowded but got alittle loud at some point since guests were coming in and sitting in groups. I saw alot of to-go orders for people who were just picking up and the system is fairly efficient! My friend got a to-go container for the remainder of her salad and refilled her cup of tea before leaving. I don't really know what the system to put away the plates are or if someone comes by to buss the tables since I saw the trash cans had a place to put the bowls and trays on so I cleaned up my own dish. I would definitely come back in the future Or order to-go if I don't have time to sit down!

This was my first time trying Mendocino Farms. I had the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich, Oaxacan Potato Salad, and Mama Chen's Chinese Chicken Salad. The Not So Friend Chicken sandwich was by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. All of the flavors just worked so well together. The bbq sauce that comes with it is AMAZING! The Mama Chen's Chinese Chicken Salad was really good, but my only complaint would be that it had way too many cashews in it for my liking. The Oaxacan Potato Salad was also really good but I wish it had more chucks of potatoes in it. Too many cashews in the salad and not enough chunks of potatoes in the potato salad are the only 2 reason why I didn't give 5 stars. Other than that this place is delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some other items!

This place is super delicious! We catered it for a birthday picnic and wow everything was so good! The sandwiches are perfectly labeled in a box making it so easy to grab. They provided utensils, napkins, plates and silverware. Highly recommend the basil pesto shell. I tried the not so fried chicken sandwich and wow it blew my mind. Such fresh and delicious food!

Stumbled upon this place recently and was pleasantly surprised! I tried a mango salad and a sandwich, and you could tell the ingredients were good quality and fresh. They also have a good selection of drinks.

Great lunch spot for something quick! Found this place originally on DoorDash and finally came here in person and this restaurant has plenty of seating inside and outside. When you walk in there's a huge menu with plenty of options from sandwich's, soups, salads and a "pick two" option which I love! You can order half a sandwich with a side or soup. I've had their sandwiches, salads, side & cookies! Everything tastes fresh and tasty. My husband LOVES their steak sandwich and gets double steak in it. Can't go wrong with any option you pick here :)

Food was good and the price was right. There was a problem with their system? Maybe? But it took forever for everyone to get their orders in so the wait was long to order.

Great place first time here . It was very slow so service and food coming out was quick . The ambiance very chill nice place to visit and try . The food was great I ordered the Quinoa Super Greens Ensalada I believe that's what it is , and it was great took it to go great portion size worth the price and trying it out . The customer service here from Lee wow was awesome great conversation and provided me knowledge of the menu what to eat and what's what I appreciate you Lee for the help. I highly recommend anyone try this place out if you're in the area highly recommended.

Holy shit, a $12 banh mi, it's not even on French bread... and yet, it's not bad! It's like 70% of the banh mi taste I'm used to, and like 300% the price, but it's a lot easier to sell Mendocino Farms to your office manager for the catered town hall than Don Cafe in Chinatown. I'm not even mad. At least this beats Panera or Jason's Deli. I like Local Foods a lot but Mendocino is good in a pinch! The side that comes with it is tiny, but delicious! Their salads also look pretty good, lots of non-veggie ingredients mixed in there, you know, not the cheap green stuff. Meet your Friendos at Mendo's.

They have a kids corner with these adorable cows on the ceiling and walls. The food was excellent, my kid got the pizza melt, my husband got a salad and I got the chicken Parm and mine was a bit spicy, but overall we all enjoyed everything we got. The service is very good, you order at the counter, but they come by and clean everything, plus they ask if you want to go bags etc.

A good option for tasty and healthy food in the area. The price tag is fairly reasonable as well. The menu had a lot of appealing options, whether you want something super healthy or a little less so. The salads were pretty good -- we tried the sweet peach & goat cheese as well as the avocado & quinoa superfood. There was one thing I really didn't like about the salads -- they included romaine lettuce in both. I'd really prefer they stick to just kale/mixed greens -- more nutritious and keeps better for later if you don't finish it. Also, the pork belly banh mi was pretty tasty. Obviously it's not a traditional take but I thought it worked well with ciabatta bread. The ingredients/toppings were generous as well. The bread got a bit soggy in transit so I recommend eating it ASAP, if you can. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my meal here. Next time, I'd skip the salads that add romaine lettuce though -- for me, it just detracts from the quality.

Open and bright space. People at the register are very friendly and welcoming. They even let you know that if you are unhappy with your order, they will redo it for you. The the Peruvian steak sandwich is my favourite, and go to. Very juicy, and the flavours are yum. The roast beef is also really tasty and recommend pairing it with some soup. Took off one star, because their quinoa "superfood crisp's texture feels like chewing on sand. It ruined the experience of eating the beautiful salad we had gotten. Would recommend taking it off the food or getting it on the side if you want to try. Personally, we thought it was an unpleasant mouthfeel.

I've been to this location before and they are so nice. I and a lot of other groups came in right before close night before winter storm Enzo and they were still so helpful and accommodating.I hate coming into somewhere right before close but sometimes it's unavoidable.

I decided to try Mendocino again yesterday since a colleague wanted to. They had only been to the other location and it was one of their favorites. I figured another try couldn't hurt since I was less than impressed last time. This time my food choice was much better ! I opted for the Happy Hippie sandwich (without cheese and swaped for a ciabbata bun) and it was delicious ! Unfortunately the person I came from was not so lucky - their bun was stale and overall they were very disappointed with the flavors of their meal (which is the same thing they order every time at the other location). This was the first time I had a side that comes with it and I was surprised at how small it was. I tried to switch a cup of soup for the side but was told that wasn't possible because the system didn't have a button for that (which seems very strange problem to have in 2023). So I got a side of cup of soup anyway (which was fine as far as flavor but wouldn't order again) and the tiny side of Dan Dan noodles. The noodles were quite bland and honestly I would have rather not had a side at all after trying it. It was busier than the previous time I went and the line took a long time ! We couldn't really understand the hold up (since we were here on a quick lunch break and it was eating into our time). The person taking our orders had to ask us both several times what we wanted - which I assume was the hold up with each person in line. Not a big deal - but definitely noteworthy if you're trying to do a quick lunch. Overall I I keep wanting my experiences here to be better - though they aren't horrible. I definitely won't be back for a while though.

I had an order set for 11 and I didn't get it until 1120. The half sandwich was so huge that when I would try to take a bite everything would slide apart. I could not keep my sandwich together so I had to eat everything separately. I wanted to be supportive but I don't know if I'll come here again because I couldn't really get the full experience of a sandwich.

I love the location of this Mendocino Farms in the MKT area as there is plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy to access. The inside seating area provides a casual dining experience and they also have a shaded dog friendly patio. The restaurant was almost completely empty which was surprising for a weekend but it was nice that we didn't have to wait to order. When at the counter ordering (my first time at a Mendocino farms), I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also have a beer & wine menu. I ordered the seasonal salad (Strawberry Poppy seed) as well as a glass of Rose. I was handed my Rose immediately which was crisp and refreshing and then headed out to the outdoor patio as I had my dog with me. When my salad came out, I was happy to see that its a good size and filled with fresh ingredients. I also appreicate that they add nutritional information to their menu for those who want to know. The salad itself was delicious and I wish it would be available year round. I will definitely be back!

Delicious refreshing salad! It was super filling as well since it was quite large. The space was pretty big with different sized tables if you wanted to chat with friends or just work/study. They had a table system where once you pick your table, you scan and enter in your receipt code. The friendly workers bring out your food to your table. Nice alternative to holding on to a number or buzzer and having the servers look for you.

I've been here a lot because their food is fresh, tasty, and reasonably healthy, but I came in on 3/23, and I wish I got the name of the cashier because he was above and beyond friendly for my to go order. He really made my night. My go-to orders are the taco salad and turkey avo salsa sammie (huge!), but my current obsession is the mushroom philly that's on special, just WOW. I wish they'd bring back the side of green beans with shaved fennel, no vegetable has the right to be that good.

The soup was yummy but wouldn't go back to get the chicken pesto sandwich. It was cold and wasn't very good. It also took 35 mins or more to get my food and it was empty on the inside .

Ok, so let me start off by saying two things. Number one, I am a big Mendo fan. I visit the Rice Village location frequently and truly love their vegan banh mi sandwich. Number two, today when my friend and I visited, they were running a special "best friends day" promotion - buy one get one free deal. Those things being said, the service at this location was terrible. Anticipating that there might be higher than normal traffic today, my friend and I entered our orders through the app about 20 minutes before we expected to arrive. We noticed that a few of the bread options were out of stock through the app, but no big deal. However, when we arrived, we were surprised to see many customers waiting at the pick up counter and zero orders on the pick up shelf. Again, not shocking given the special promotion. Fast forward about 30 minutes of waiting, my friend approached the counter and inquired about the status of her order. The order "wasn't in the system." One staff member was gracious enough to enter a "911" replacement order, which is supposed to be bumped to the top of the list. Long story short, we ended up waiting for about 20 minutes longer to finally receive the replacement order and still it came out as the wrong sandwich. Not only was this location not prepared with the supplies and man power to handle a special promotion but the staff were nearly pleading with the manager to turn off mobile orders to help them manage. Tensions were clearly running high among the staff and also customers waiting for extended periods of time for their orders. To conclude, the food offerings at Mendo are delicious, healthy and satisfying, however I would recommend trying a different location.

I love Mendo's and can honestly say that I have never had a bad thing on the menu. This is the location I order Uber Eats from (versus the Rice Village location which I have actually been to), so I can't really comment on the parking situation, area, etc., although I know it's in MKT and many a weekend I have rode past it on my bike. Some of my favorites at Mendo's are the Caprese Chicken Sandwich (my absolute fav), the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich and also the Salad, and the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde Sandwich. Everything is always so fresh and tasty, packaged well and just the right amount of food.

Mendocino Farms was a good pick for lunch!! If you're looking for a salad, soup, and sandwich spot, this is a good place to go! You order at the register then sit down and they bring your food. Took about 20 minutes which seemed a little long, but it was worth it. We enjoyed our food! Lots of seating and the restaurant was very clean.

So church is over and the wifey just made some new friends who are originally from LA. They say they know a restaurant they used to go to in LA that is now in Houston and we should all try it. Which restaurant were that talking about? Mendocino Farms So it's a soup and sandwich shop that also has salads. Word on the street aka what our new friends tell us, is that the sandwiches are delicious, made fresh and they are healthy! So who am I to go against this recommendation and go to my usual favorite restaurants. I know one thing, I'm hungry and a sandwich sounds really good to me, since it's now well over 30 minutes since church ended So me being so easily persuaded by public opinion of my friends decided to keep that trend going and just order the two menu items that have a little cow picture next to them, which according to their menu are items that they are well known for. What were those things I ordered? I'm glad you asked! It was the not so fried chicken sandwich and a side of spicy curry cous cous. I like to keep it simple. Was it any good, you ask? I can sum it up for you in two words- Heck Yes! (Since I just came from church I had to censor the not suitable for children response.) Morale of this story, trust your friends if they are from LA and say they know a really good sandwich shop.

We had the Mango Salad and the Prosciutto and Chicken Sandwich. Both were excellent. The Thai Almond dressing really made the already excellent salad "pop." The staff was friendly but it took more than 30 minutes for the order to be completed. The problem seemed to be a combination of in-house and take out orders coming in post -lunch (12:50-1:30) along with too few staff in the kitchen. Management had to come in (off their break?) to speed up the orders. My wife and I will definitely return, but I plan to call in the order ahead of time.

Bland food even for a sandwich and order was wrong which they did exchange. Also ice machine was not working and they ran out of lemonade.

Great spot for fresh sandwiches and salads. This location is in the MKT shopping area and has decent parking. I've only ordered for pick-up and they've always been timely with making the order. I'm obsessed with their superfood salad with avocado and quinoa. It's their take on a tex-mex salad and has black beans, corn, quinoa, jicama and avocado with a spicy vinaigrette. It's super flavorful and always hits the spot. Would highly recommend checking this place out for a healthy and tasty lunch!

Tried this place for some lunch take out and definitely worth another visit. I didn't dine in but it looks like they had sufficient space indoor and out to eat with some cute little outside areas. The guy at the counter was extremely friendly and greeted me when I walked in. The food was very good and the flavors were great. I had the Turkey avo salsa verse sandwich and everything tasted extremely fresh and the flavors were great. For sides I had the potato salad and the watermelon street cart salad. Both were good, my only suggestion is with the watermelon salad, I looked forward to it most because of the watermelon. The flavors again were very good but there was one piece of watermelon in the side dish with all jicama and cucumber. So just expected more watermelon, but other than that. Definitely would recommend and definitely will be back!

Love this location as it is super close to us and the new strip mall it is in is super fun and live. There is also a Clark hose by in case kiddos get restless. Food is always in point when we order. The staff and manager are attentive and friendly. They dont give me a hard time when I order the Thursday special for kids (i.e., make me give a hair sample of my child) -- they take my word for it. Will return again and again. Parent Pro Tip: Kid's eat free all day Thursdays!

This was our first visit. Nice atmosphere with a lot of natural light. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is a bit of hit or miss. We ordered the Italian roast beef 5/5 and pickles and dill potato salad 3/5. My companions both chose the same Farm Club 3/5 and Greek Lemon Chicken & Farro Soup 2/5. Both mentioned if we returned they would get salads. The black passion fruit tea 1/5. It was likened to tea with hand soap.

We walked in right before closing not even realizing how late it was. The staff went above and beyond. So friendly even though it was closing time. I loved the calorie information on the menu. It helped me make good decisions. The food was fresh and flavorful. Cute clean restaurant. I'll be back for sure. The sandwich was so big I was able to take the second half for lunch the next day.

Love me some Mendocino Farms and the Save Drake Salad aka Pink Lady & Goat Cheese Salad. This location is super clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be a regular here.

This location has gone to shit. Used to be our favorite place to grab a quick and somewhat healthy bite. Past two times I've waited 30 minutes for a $15 sandwich. They've also taken away the side that came with the sandwiches and give you plain chips. ** Update They brought my sandwich out and it didn't have the right bread or the extra steak I paid for. Getting a refund was a fiasco. Safe to say we won't be going back.

This was a delicious and refreshing experience. The service was good and the food fresh.

I have been to other Mendo locations and this one may be my favorite - maybe because it is so convenient and it wasn't too busy when I went, but I also think it as to do with their simpler ordering setup. Some of the other locations suffer from a crowded/complicated ordering area. Food quality is always top notch with fresh ingredients and inventive menu offerings. This time around I opted for their Peruvian Steak sandwich with a side of the Oaxacan potato salad. Both were very flavorful with just a small kick of spice. Service was fast and friendly - order at the counter, find a table, and then scan a QR code and enter your order number and your food will be right out!
