Mendocino Farms Review - West Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"We’ve been told by several people, including a few whose opinions we generally trust, that The Big Bang Theory has some very funny moments. We will never know. Yes, we may be total comedy snobs, but that’s not (entirely) the issue. We just can’t stand the laugh track. You could have the funniest joke ever, but the second you throw a laugh track under it, we check out. It will always feel like a sitcom (which is a dirty word in the post- Seinfeld world), and we can’t help ourselves from changing the channel. Mendocino Farms has all the ingredients of a delicious sandwich spot: fresh, local ingredients, all smartly paired and molded into huge-portioned sandwiches. And they taste great. Like, really great. So why can’t we just enjoy the place? Because of the laugh track. Mendocino Farms has decided it wants to be your classic chain restaurant. And with their current expansion plans, they will be that very, very soon. While it hasn’t had a negative effect on the food yet (again, we’ll never deny it’s damn tasty), the experience feels too whitewashed. From the company-mandated-super-friendly staff to the kitschy grass benches, Mendocino Farms is just plain trying too hard. If they served us the exact same food from behind a deli counter, we could really sing its praises as the best chain (yes, chain) in LA. Alas, this place has chosen its route (probably the right route if the goal is to make a sh*t ton of money). But for us, it could have been much more. As a place to grab a sandwich for lunch to go? Sure, why not. To show off LA to a friend? Not a chance." - Michael Burke

Had a really great experience at this location! Enjoyed the Farm Club sandwich and I am always impressed how everything is so fresh. This location was also very clean and the staff were friendly. Shout out to Yvonne! She was super helpful and seems to really care about her customers! Highly recommend Mendocino Farms for their high quality food and exceptional service.

The food was great, the service and atmosphere were also on point! Had the Sweet Crispy Thai Chicken sandwich. I throughly enjoyed every bite! Highly recommend it!

I placed an online order to be picked up in about 45 minutes. When I arrived to the place, it was overcrowded, hot, and the vent system not working. I asked for my order and the lady told me they had a delay on the online orders. I waited 20 minutes while seeing that the only orders out where for the people that ordered to go. I asked the lady if they were attending online orders, she replied "No", for what I asked if they had an estimated time, and of course she didn't know. So, I didn't receive the service I paid for, and now I have to wait for the account to be updated on my payment to place a dispute. In summary, bad service, they should not accept more orders than the number they can attend, counting with all the people that order at the site.

Google
The Not So Fried Mary's Chicken Sandwich is SO good! Make sure to get the mustard with it, it is bomb! Best mustard I've had. Will definitely be back! Their salads are amazing as well, and so are the pickle chips you can buy at the register.

Google
I stumbled upon Mendocino Farms, and it was a delightful surprise. The ambiance is cozy with a touch of sophistication, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch or a special occasion. The service here is exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to explain the different sandwich options and even suggested a unique combination that turned out to be a new favorite. Now, onto the food. The sandwiches here are a true culinary adventure. Each bite is a burst of flavor, and the attention to detail in crafting these masterpieces is evident. It's clear that they take pride in serving top-quality sandwiches. If you're a sandwich enthusiast or someone looking for a great meal in a charming setting with excellent service, you won't be disappointed here. This place exceeds expectations on all fronts – ambiance, service, and food quality.

Google
very good food. had the not so fried chicken sandwich. it was like grilled chicken with "crispies" sprinkled in. highly recommend but beware of the lines. very popular place.

Google
Mendocino Farms sandwich joint is a slice of heaven on earth. The service is exceptional – the staff is attentive, accommodating, and always eager to make your visit memorable. Now, the sandwiches – they are nothing short of divine. The blend of ingredients and the attention to detail in each creation are commendable. The ambiance is cozy, with a touch of rustic charm that adds to the overall experience. If you appreciate great sandwiches and a warm atmosphere, this place should be at the top of your list.

Google
This is a hugely popular location and gets very crowded at lunch. Any orders are running so late that you will end up standing there for 40 min. But there is a solution - order for pickup an hour before the actual pickup time. Then the order is just on time. Seriously, they need to hire more people, running 40 min behind online schedule is not acceptable….

Yelp
Friendly service and food is excellent. Enjoying the patio and music! You don't have a wonder how many calories you're eating because everything is listed.

Yelp
Great food & service! Friendly staff. Love the farm club! :) would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Bad lettuce. I wasn't feeling the salad! I gave Mendocino another chance. The service on this salad sucks. Why would you give me bad lettuce.
google avatar

Yelp
Fast, fresh, and creative sandwiches. The iced tea and juice bar was a unique offering. Admired the excellent teamwork handling a slew of orders. Nice outside patio.

Yelp
Came here on a afternoon after shopping and I always forget DTLA has a Mendo! I tried the Thai salad and I really liked all the flavors in it. Had some noodles and bean sprouts in it too! Def try out their rose or turmeric lemonade very light and refreshing for a hot day. Bf got a chicken dip sandwich that was okay, wish the dip was pesto instead of a basic marinara sauce. But overall a good experience as staff was super nice and friendly too! Def would gotta stop by here more! You can't go wrong with any of the bowls here really

Yelp
One of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch. The salad is pretty expensive but it's good. The super food crunches is a different take on croutons giving your salad that adjustment in texture. Service is good and food is freshly made to order. This is a fast causal restaurant so the ambiance leaves much to be desired.
google avatar

Yelp
Came for a quick lunch, tried the Peruvian Steak sandwich, which was made fresh. The sandwich was a little messy and the meat was thin, but flavor was well balanced and tasty.
google avatar

Jenna J.

Yelp
The Chicken Pesto Caprese was very good. I tried this place while staying at the Omni Hotel next door. The place has no atmosphere as it's just a fast food line in a food court and for that, it seems a bit pricey. However, I took the to-go bag to my room and ate a very tasty sandwich.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying, that I am not a Banh Mi sandwich fan at all. But Mendocino Farms Vegan Banh Mi may have converted me. It's absolutely delicious! The tofu was cooked to perfection! I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be trying it again. Didn't take a picture because it was a boxed lunch provided for a work meeting but trust me, even catered it was good.

Yelp
I'm a Mendo stan and everything here is fantastic. The restaurant is always clean and the workers are friendly. I came here during peak lunch hours and was impressed by how efficient and fast they were pumping out orders. Their counter was packed with pickup orders and there were a few people waiting in line to order. I heard great things about the quinoa avocado ensalada and decided to give it a try. I ended up loving it so much I got it two days in a row for lunch! I loved the crispy texture of the quinoa, the fresh veggies, and the chipotle vinaigrette was quite tasty. Also, the portion size is very generous and the price is very fair. Overall I'd recommend coming here for a healthy lunch.

Yelp
My mom and I got incredibly sick after sharing a roast beef sandwich and quinoa kale salad on 3-24-2024. This was the only meal we shared and both of us spent the entire night throwing up. CDC reports a listeria outbreak affecting salads and cheeses. Please refer to CDC.gov

Yelp
Great food, always fresh and on time. Thanks Heather and Daisy for always helping me with my large catering orders. Mendo is a firm favorite.

Yelp
Convenient, Clean, Fast place to grab lunch! Their sandwiches are pretty big size. I got The Farm Club sandwich. It was very delicious. It came with huge Turkey meat. The bread was whole wheat as I was looking for !!! Thick, soft and bouncy texture. Avocado, tomato & greens were super fresh. The pickle was a little bit sweet adding more flavor. It had good amount of herb aioli on it. Tomato was super juicy and big and naturally sweet! Love My hubby got Heirloom Tomato BLT. It was also yummy! I trade my half sandwich with his, so I can tell you guys how good it was. The bacon was so crispy and not too salty. Pretty thick cut. The tomato was very fresh and juicy...the texture was more soft than regular tomato on the Club. This makes this sandwich a little more "wet".... Still good. It had a bunch of fresh arugula on it...on toasted rustic white bread!..crispy! Employees here are friendly! This place is very clean and there are many table outside you can hangout at ( in the food court common area) . I will be back to try another sandwiches & salad bowls. Vegan friendly

Yelp
Ambiance: one of my all time favorite sandwich places, you could never go wrong with Mendocino, it's located in a central business area, could get packed during peak time Service: the line moved smoothly and the ordering was pretty fast Food: standard mendo menu, with seasonal specials Chimichurri Steak & Bacon - **** RGF, Roasted, carved steak and nitrate-free Applewood smoked bacon topped with marinated red peppers, caramelized onion jam, chimichurri, shredded romaine, herb aioli, on a toasted sesame roll, crunchy roll and rich in flavors, recommend Price: moderate portion for lunch, about $15 per person

Yelp
Soooo satisfying! My go to is the chicken caesar salad and the curry cous cous. The dressing will have you asking for an extra on the side and the crunchy topping they add to the salad makes it that much more delicious. Avocado is fresh and ripe and there's nothing more I need. The curry cous cous has so much flavor and a small one is all I need to complete my meal. I have tried the corn chowder when it was in season and I would order it again. The banh mi sandwich is also a must try.
google avatar

Yelp
Since COVID the menu's been pared down a lot. There's only 1 menu item that's vegan (besides salads) , the vegan banh mi, for example. some of the really fun adventurous stuff in years past are gone. Still good food, but they need to rework their ordering/online ordering so that they can either keep up with incoming orders, or display a correct pick up time. I put in an order 1 hour ahead of time and the online ordering confirmed it would be ready for pick up at 12:30PM.. got there, still had to wait 30 minutes. A lot of folks at this location are on business lunch hour breaks, so you can imagine that there were many upset folks. The staff here were hustling, hurrying, and working hard, it's not really their fault, but management needs to sort out the ordering system.

Yelp
Spicy curried couscous is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten! Must get every time.
google avatar

Vicki D.

Yelp
They really don't have anything organized here. You can order online good luck getting anyone to talk to you. Papers everywhere. You will have to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour for food. I had to walk out.

Yelp
Faria and her team are absolutely fantastic. The food is always on point and delicious. The great service and delicious food is why they are staple for our offices weekly catering.

Yelp
With fresh, unique flavor profiles and organic chicken, this place never disappoints. The Avocado Quinoa salad with the chipotle vegan ranch salad dressing is one of my favorites, along with the Not So Fried chicken sandwich (get the sauce!) and the Pork Belly sandwich on a soft roll. The couscous is a perfect, fulfilling little snack, and the Apple kale salad is a sweet, healthy treat. I could go on about this place forever! The staff at the 300 Grand are my people, especially Heaven. She always gets it right, and her customer service is top-notch!
google avatar

Carel T.

Yelp
Overall Experience: (7/10) Food: (7/10) Value: (6/10) We ordered the couscous, "not so fried" chicken sandwich, and steak and bacon sandwich. The "not so fried" chicken is pretty tasty but a bit disappointed by the steak and bacon sandwich. Couscous is the bomb tho. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Mendocino Farms sandwich place, and it turned out to be a hidden treasure. The service was friendly and prompt, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable about their menu. The food, oh my goodness, the food! Each sandwich was a work of art, bursting with fresh ingredients and unique flavors. The ambiance was charming, with a relaxed vibe that made me want to stay for hours. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a must-try.

Yelp
This is a hit or miss. My company asked me to order from here last week and everything went smooth. Everyone loved their order. So I was bragging about it with other people today and we decided to order again. They forgot a lot of things today like (1) one of the Peruvian steak sandwich that I ordered should have the Aji Amarillo Sauce and Herb Aioli on the side. They forgot to include it (2) the order of the avocado and quinoa superfood ensalada was missing the dressing on the side AND it was supposed to have chicken but that was also missing. I am trying to like this place.

Scott M.

Yelp
We went to Valencia location. Food was great. Everything else was bad. Expensive. No diet drink options. High calorie lemonades only. Very noisy and to make it worse the gentlemen prepping the food was yelling something every time an order was ready. It was jolting. All hard surface seating except one bench that had some grass on it. Bright lighting. Not relaxing at all. Took 20 minutes to get one sandwich and a bowl of soup. You can get the same type of food for less money a lot faster next door at Corner Bakery. Wanted to like it but did not.

Yelp
I got this salad and it was fantastic!! Would recommend to anyone. All of their ingredients were fresh. The portion was big!! Very filling and light weight. However, the parking was not ideal. A bus honked at me. That's the only downside to this location. I wish they were somewhere else so the parking would not be an issue.

Yelp
Why did I add a gratuity? Worst service and two wet and cold sandwiches. Not worth the cost in my opinion. My online order said to pickup at 11:31am (23 minutes after order placed). My order was never packaged and placed in the Online Order Pick up Bin. Once I got someone to help, they saw my order had been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes getting COLD and SOGGY. Worst experience in DTLA from any restaurant in the past three months. I regret adding a double digit gratuity. My sandwich was not edible as the whole thing FELL APART from soggy and wet bread. Dear Mendo - You are not the same as you once were. Is it too much expansion with locations and / or a labor shortage? Maybe, it's time to reconsider your training program for store managers?

Dannielle R.

Yelp
I ordered my sandwich at 11:40 and it said it would be ready at 12:15. I got there at 12:10 and my order wasn't ready. I thought okay I'm here early and they are busy, I'll just wait. I had to leave at 12:50 with NO meal and No refund because "THEY COULDNT DO IT RIGHT NOW" I was so confused and thought it was so rude how the staff was acting. They are being so over worked that they can't keep up and then get frustrated like if it's my fault. So many people were complaining to. This was my first and last time going to this place.

Albert C.

Yelp
incredible sandwiches and bowls! I came here when I had a layover and one of the best decisions ever. nice service with even better food. you won't regret!

N L.

Yelp
When dealing with the staff, everyone I've spoken to has had such a negative attitude. They speak to clients like we are bothering them by asking for help. Not one person had a smile or acted like they cared. Always in a rush to do anything but assist the client. It is such a disappointment because their food is quite good, nothing amazing but good.
google avatar

Yelp
I had heard of Mendocino Farms for a while since they opened a couple locations in the Bay Area as well. My friends had all told me it was pretty good, but portions can be sometimes on the smaller side. I got the The Impossible Taco Salad (reminded me of NYC's By Chloe Taco Salad) and it was super good. I'd honestly get it again. This location is near the Broad / near businesses, but the line moved really fast. The workers at this location were also super nice to me when I walked in especially when I mentioned this was my first time at a Mendocino Farms. I will definitely have to try more of their menu the next time I'm in SoCal or NorCal. Hopefully they open a Chicago location one day!
google avatar

Yelp
BOMB SANDIWCHES. They never miss And the menu is constantly changing so it's always refreshing to try new seasonal stuff.
google avatar

Austin L.

Yelp
Had a terrific sandwich here for pretty cheap especially by LA standards. Highly recommended and would definitely come back here and try a different flavor. The chicken pesto panini was great, not too heavy but still plenty filling. Good location with lots of outdoor seating too.

Yelp
This review is for eating in at this location only (I have a separate review regarding take-out from the downtown location). Drove over here from my new office with a few co-workers. I love the vegetarian options, specifically the taco salad! We ordered and sat down and waited for our food outside. It took quite some time (maybe 10/15 minutes, but it was prime lunch time and I think this is generally expected these days - so if you're in a rush just order ahead). The taco salad never disappoints, it's plenty of food, so filly and so tasty!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Mendo's and love their locations in Brea and Irvine. I called Mendo's around 11am to place my order to be picked up at 12:30pm. The whole process was seamless, and I was able to walk directly to the cashier to pick up my order at 12:30pm. I was in a healthy mood, so I ordered the Sophisticated Chicken & Proscuitto Salad, which is basically my fave sandwich in salad form. This salad had greens with chicken, proscuitto, roasted veggies, mozzarella, honey roasted almonds, cherry tomatoes, and a pesto vinaigrette. All of the ingredients worked really well together, and it was actually a pretty filling salad. The salad was served with a tortilla on the side. I'm not giving this Mendo's 5 stars because the proscuitto was disappointing. They were rolled into 3 balls, instead of sliced and spread out in the salad. Because of this, I had 3 bites that were sooooo salty and pure proscuitto. I wish the proscuitto would have been cut into smaller pieces so that the flavor could be distributed throughout. Other than that, my salad was delicious!

Yelp
Placed an online order at 11:45 on 05/31/2023. Got to the restaurant at 12:30 and my sandwich still wasn't ready eventho the estimated time was 12:15. Waited until 1:00 pm still no food. Staff was way too busy and overworked. Maybe they shouldn't be taking large postmates/doordash orders because no one of us were getting our food that day after waiting our whole lunch time there. Finally I asked someone if they could just cancel my order. She wrote my name down on a napkin along with a few others that wanted their orders cancelled. There's no refund issued yet. Emailed them and no response. Been on the phone for 30 mins and no one is picking up. Am I really going to have to dispute with my bank for $17?

Veronica V.

Yelp
Online ordering is a complete mess. Placed an order at 7:30am for 12:15pm, and it wasn't ready at the agreed upon time. They were running late like crazy and couldn't get my order in before 1pm. If you have any meetings you need to attend on time after lunch, do yourself a favor and go to Salata.

Xander F.

Yelp
What a mess. Waited over 30 minutes for my order, which was called in 30 minutes before I got there. We are talking 6 salads here, fast and easy to prepare. I saw the full order placed on a back table, ignored, while countless other orders were being put in, made ready, and served to guests that had gone through the regular service line. When I asked about my order I was told it wasn't complete yet, but it was all sitting right there and I pointed that out. Another 5 minutes passed, so I asked again and they again said it wasn't ready. Nobody was actually looking to see if it was ready though, so I pointed out that everything had been sitting there ready for the last 10 minutes. The employee tried to tell me that the final salad just arrived two minutes ago, straight up lied to my face as I stood 10 feet away watching my order be ignored for far longer than that. Even after asking twice, nobody checked the actual ticket to see if it was ready to go. Once they finally did look at the ticket and noticed it was all there, it got bagged up. Rather than apologize they acted like I was bothering them. What a joke. Don't lie to a customers face, and don't pretend you know what's going on. Stop pushing new orders through the line and take 2 seconds to actually look at the damn ticket.

Yelp
After a MOCA museum tour, A quick lunch at the Mendocino Farms on Grand in DTLA Ordered the Mary's Cobb salad and a side of Curried CousCous Eating Healthy, Clean, Good and was filling Only complaint was, it was super busy during lunchtime peak despite All kitchen help, there was a long wait before the pager they give up sounds off, alerting you to pick up your order at the counter.

Yelp
Hmm I don't get the hype, the food was just decent, but I every person swears its the best goddamn sandwich on earth. Maybe I picked the wrong one. I got The Farm Club, and it was decent, some shaved turkey breast, avocado, herb aioli, apple bacon and some pickled onions on some seeded bun. It was a little dry for me and the sandwich kept falling apart, it was kind of difficult to eat, the sandwich stuffing kept falling out and also the seeded bun kept falling apart, it was a messy affair. I also grabbed what I thought was jalapeno chips, but they ended up being dill pickle flavored potato chips....... pass. Did I order wrong, should I have gotten a side? Whats the best thing to order here? It certainly wasn't the Farm Club. I'd give it another go, but it was really just soso. The servers were really earnest and nice though. 3.5 stars

Yelp
What are people thinking? Has everyone lost the plot? The Mendo's crispy chicken sandwich main flavor profile is SUGAR! I swear, it's true! Why? If I wanted sweet, I would eat dessert! I bit a little piece of just the chicken to taste it and was flabbergasted: super sweet! Unless the cooks accidentally got the salt and sugar mixed up, this is just not right (well, it's still not right, but accidents happen). My husband brought these sandwiches home so I just smothered it in hot sauce and threw away more than half the bun (which is also sweet, btw). A disaster: poor chicken that gave up its life for this sandwich. :(

Yelp
Mendocino Farms has to be one of my favorite sandwich and salad destinations for training. I do not work in LA but if I ever come for training in LA I will def be in the line at Mendocino's. Their Chinese chicken salad is one of the best, their bahn mi pork belly is great along with their tuna sandwich.. and last but not least my favorite side of the curry cous cous! Yummm... Now I am salivating.. haha
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
This is a chain, so you know what you're getting. The sandwiches and salads are of great quality, the service is excellent, and the environment is clean and nice. It's a business park, so it gets extremely busy after 11:30.
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
Had a great Vietnamese pork Banh Mi sandwich that filled me up. Everything is very tasty, portions are huge, and quite messy as well. :) I want to come back and try all of their eclectic sandwiches and side dishes but alas, I was only visiting. Not too expensive for being right in downtown either. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
I was looking for a quick bite after going to the Broad, and Mendocino was conveniently close. This location is in a food court downstairs, and there is no seating inside but plenty in the outside area. From the moment I walked up to the menu board, I felt welcomed by the staff. The girl outside recommended the "Not So Fried" Chicken to me, but I ended up going with "A Sandwich Study of Heat" ($9.95), which is a twist on the lowly turkey sandwich. Upon going inside, I was handed a sample of their spicy dijon potato salad by a guy who complimented me on my style (thanks). It was good, but I was just there for the sandwich. Kind of like Earl of Sandwich, you are given a buzzer and wait for it to appear. While I waited I had some buyer's remorse. My internal dialogue screamed, "did you just pay $10 for a freakin' sandwich?! What have you become?" and "You probably should have gotten the chicken." However, when I finally bit into it, some doubts were assuaged. It was undoubtedly the best turkey sandwich I've had. It was white people spicy (aka not), but it tasted great and was fresh. The salsa went well with it too, and I polished it off very quickly. I still think I should have gone with a "Foodie Favorite" sandwich since I'm probably not going to come back for a while, but my boring turkey was still delicious. Was it worth $10? Maybe not, but I've paid $10 for a beer before and this was much better than that. I don't think I'll be craving these sammiches, but they are no doubt excellent quality and good for an occasional office lunch splurge. Food: 5, Service: 5, Environment: 4, Price: 2

Yelp
This sandwich place is located in DTLA in a shopping center that has other food options too. It's located very close by the Broad museum if you're hungry for lunch. Lines get long right around lunch time, which makes sense bc most people are businessmen around the area. Also, when we came around noon, after the lunch rush there were some items that were sold out. So get there early if you want a certain item. During rush hour, there's a person outside with an iPad taking orders and then you pay once you get closer inside. You pick up the food at the end near the soda fountain. Their sides are really good. We got the curry cous cous and it has a sweet taste to it. It's served cold so it was a good balance with the warm sandwich. Their pesto turkey cheese melt was AMAZING. I highly recommend it. The only seating is outside where all the tables are. Sometimes they get really packed during lunch rush but there's still a lot when you go further down. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.

Yelp
Location: This was a little hard to find for me but it's on the lower level of the hotel next to MOCA. If you walk down the steps from Grand Ave it's in the left. Ambiance: Large seating area provided amongst all of the restaurants. The staff greeted us with such charm. However because of the huge amount of staff working compared to the amount of customers the staff were extremely tentative to the point where it was slightly uncomfortable to sit there and eat through. I just didn't feel very comfortable throughout my meal. Otherwise this would've easily been a 4 star review. Sandwiches: -Peruvian Steak Sandwich: Delicious! The steak was very juicy and tender. No sauce needed because it was already perfectly flavored. I would definitely get this again. -"Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich: Yum!! This comes with a choice of BBQ sauce or a mustard sauce. I personally preferred the mustard. Surprisingly (since they both were such different flavors) both sauces tasted great with the sandwich. Overall, I loved the food. Without a doubt. But this particular location was just uncomfortable which is why I want to give this spot 3.5 stars

Yelp
When I am working in the area, I sometimes drop in here for lunch (When I am in the mood to pay $11.00 for a sandwich.) Their Buckwheat ! bread is incredible--no one else has it. It is probably the main reason I keep coming back--I crave it. I usually get the chicken which most of the time is good to very good and sometimes it has been pre-cut and out for too long and it has that aftertaste if you know what I mean. On it I get Chedder, yellow mustard, farm greens, jicama, beans, corn, tomatoes. Taste very good. In that area of DT there is not much quality for a quick lunch, so Mendocino stands out. They do a good job and the staff is always friendly. This location is only open until 3 PM. Nice safe surrounding during the day and plenty of seating. Service is fast here--I usually have my food within 5 minutes of order when I come off lunch period times: 11 or 2 pm. [Much much faster that the other downtown location near Target on Figueroa where it took 20 minutes on the average (off-peak) and I stopped going there.]

Best experience ordering and the food was amazing. Tania took time out of preparing the catering side to make sure I was taken care of and did it with a million dollar smile. Faria is the absolute best when it comes to making sure everything runs smoothly. They both go out of their way to ensure the customer and their team have everything they need for it to be a good day. Easily a 12 out of 10. They both set the standard for customer service in the best of ways. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and an amazing team to set the vibe just right.

Yelp
One of my fave places to eat!! They're a lil pricey but I would say worth it every now and then because it's so good! I usually get the pork belly banh mi or the chinese chicken salad. If you're a fan of banh mi, then you will prob think that the price here is crazy, but getting it occassionally isn't too bad. The pork is cooked nicely and the veggies are pretty spot on. I really like the chinese chicken salad, it's different from your usual chinese chicken salad. Instead of a sesame dressing, I believe it's a miso mustard dressing, which is way more tasty than it sounds. I also like that they add cashew and wonton strips for some crunch toppings. It all comes together so well! This particular location is in the same plaza as my old work place. We would always bring a new coworker here because it's so good! I definitely recommend giving Mendo a try!

Yelp
So far, great food and great service. I didn't know what to get by the time I arrived at the cash register after waiting in line for 15 minutes. I asked the worker what they recommended for something that didn't have that much cheese. They recommended the Honey Smoked Chicken Street Corn Torta with Fresno Chile on the side. Holy cow, it was a slice of sandwich perfection. There was crunch from the toasted bread, sweetness from the corn, savory from the spread they used, and spice from the Fresno chile. It all blended together SO WELL. The portions were perfect. I was happily full, not painfully stuffed, at the sandwich. Bravo!
