The restaurant is neatly maintined, the staff are polite and attentive. We tried the Avocado and Quinoa Superfood Ensalada which had a crunchy flavor that made it unique. The basil pesto shells as a side was a good option for a kids meal.

Excellent experience at Mendocino Farms! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. You can really tell they care about quality ingredients. Definitely one of my favorite spots for a healthy and delicious meal. Highly recommend!

I had such a delightful experience at this place! The sandwich 🥪🥪🥪😋👌🏽 was super fresh, and I absolutely loved my Chicken 🐔🍗🐔 pesto sandwich 🥪🥪🥪😋👌🏽. It's a fantastic spot for a quick bite, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely going back for more!

Went to Mendocino Farms on my lunch break with my coworker and it was so good. The service was quick, which was perfect for a short lunch, and the food was delicious. We got the chicken parm dip sandwich and the “Not So Fried” chicken sandwich and split them so we could try both and they were both amazing. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. Definitely coming back!

came in 30 mins before closing just to grab a quick dinner and head home. too bad the workers couldn’t help but hide their distasteful attitude about it. i understand coming in last minute right before closing, but their attitude about making a sandwich (which is quite literally their job like how about u go and make me a sandwich and put my sandwich in the bag) 30 mins before closing, mad dogging and staring me down and throwing side eyes, is just unnecessary. maybe don’t work in food service if u hate it so much! don’t worry guys i left and ate elsewhere.

We stopped here for a quick lunch. We were super impressed with the fresh ingredients and flavors. We ordered a Peruvian Steak sandwich and a Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich. Both were delicious. Their homemade drinks were great as well. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Full special apple and goat cheese salad with chicken was a 10/ 10 The goat cheese was fresh and creamy and the apples were crunchy and chicken was cooked well and overall everything went really well together. Menu said either chicken or tofu but they were actually kind enough to allow us a half and half of both. This worked out well because the salad was shared among two people and one of them wanted the chicken and the other wanted tofu. Really love how flexible they were!

This is the first time I tried our their food, it surprised me. I ordered a half soup halo Bahn Mi for dinner, it was delicious!! The Banh Mi sandwich is vegan but it tastes full of flavors. The atmosphere and service are both nice, the restaurant is clean and bright. I really enjoyed the experience here. The portion is a little small tho, I had to snack on something that afternoon.

PARKING: Spacious parking lot! It's a huge plaza so there's plenty of parking even if it does get crowded at times. SEATING: Lots of seating indoors and outdoors! There's two distinct dine in areas and a very cool outdoors area. There's a small corner for kids to play around in as well and write on the chalk wall. A fooseball table is also in the outdoors area for everyone to play with. SERVICE: Great service! Haven't had a bad time here. Quick and prompt and friendly as always. FOOD: It's a sandwich and salad type place. Healthy and yummy eating. I got the Not So Fried Chicken salad and I absolutely love this salad so much. The greens are always so crunchy and the chicken is so delicious. Great salad to enjoy on a hot summer day! OVERALL: A great place to eat when you want something light but yet hearty at the same time!

The 'not' so fried chicken is delicious with the mustard sauce. Love how the crispy pieces give the sandwich an interesting texture. Would definitely recommend this sandwich!

I LOVE Mendocino Farms! Every location I've been to always delivers the best service and food at a great price. This particular location in Del Mar has a nice sized patio outside where you can enJOY your meal while basking in the warm sunlight we are so blessed to have in SoCal. And laaaaadies, check under the tables because they have purse hooks for you! We ordered our food at the counter and the employees brought them out to us on the patio. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the sun, even though there was a slight wind chill. We all finished our dishes because we loved every bit! Everything is always super fresh and delicious! I would love to see more locations pop up because I'll be a regular here. If you're someone who's looking for a better alternative to fast food, I urge you to consider Mendocino Farms. You can order online or on the app so you can feel good about your food choices and have it ready when you arrive. Its a win-win for me!

Pretty cool ambiance inside and good outdoor and indoor seating. I ordered a gluten free turkey bacon avocado sandwich. The service was a little slow, but the sandwich was good overall. They had good portions for a sandwich place and it was filling. The gluten free bread was good! It was a little overpriced in my opinion though.

I love this place. The food is fresh, delicious and fairly priced. This is my go to when I want something healthy and tasty for lunch.

I tried this restaurant during my work break, and it was such a good experience! I ordered the Taco Salad and the Potato Salad as a side. Impossible Taco Salad: As yummy as I remember! The toppings on the salad are very generous and work really well together. The ingredients were really fresh, and it wasn't boring because of how many different textures it had! Potato Salad: Creamy and yummy but a little under-salted. Mendocino Farms consistently makes my favorite salads, and I'm glad I tried this new location too! Service is also relatively quick and very friendly, and there is plenty of seating around lunch both indoors and outdoors.

We really enjoy the seasonal offerings and specials. One of my favorites was a peach, mozzarella, and prosciutto sandwich. We typically opt for delivery when we need a healthy and satisfying meal in a pinch. It's solidly in our regular rotation for ordering out/delivery!

First time at this location. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The service was quick and pleasant. I ordered the Winter Citrus & Goat Cheese Salad and it was just okay. It was under the Chef Special and it promised to WOW! If I could change it, I would make sure that the guests saw the fennel (I didn't see it or taste it), add nuts without sugar and decrease the amount of romaine lettuce.

Everyone hypes up this place but in my opinion it's nothing special. I got a gluten free make your own sandwich with chicken sprouts avocado tomato etc etc and honestly it was a fine sandwich. But I could also 1000% make the same exact thing at home. The gluten free bread was thick and dry..... like cmon. The bread can make or break a sandwich. And in this case, it broke it. Sadly I won't be back for their gluten free sandwiches

How long does it take to make a single sandwich? Had to remove completely unripe peaches from sand. Completely inedible! Just take it off the menu if the ingredients are not up to par. A complete waste if $15.

Five stars for the new seasonal peach and goat cheese salad. I subbed out tofu instead of the chicken. It is extremely delicious!! I got summer corn chowder on the side. Much more mediocre and not a huge portion for $5.45. but that's generally the issue with the soups, they are small. The salad is huge and delicious for $14.65. Am I going to be craving this salad soon? Hell yes!!

This location is nice looking with plants on the walls and a fun looking kid area to draw and play. I order my usual farm house turkey sandwich with ciabatta bread and asked for the bread to be lightly toasted. It was not. My husband asked for the sauce for his panini to be in the sandwich but they put it on the side instead. The sandwiches were still good. Service was okay.

Food is always good as well as the portions. I just would like them to pay attention to the drink station. I hate to see dirty nozzles, ice dispenser plastic with splashed around drink particulars. Draining the liquid catchers is a good idea. It's simple attention to detail. Makes u wonder what sanitation looks like in the back.

Anytime I want a salad, Mendocino is the first place that comes to mind. I love their Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada - it's such a fulfilling salad, especially if you add chicken on top! It leaves me full and content but not too heavy which is exactly what I'm looking for when I crave a salad. Service here is very friendly and there's a mix of indoor & outdoor seating which is perfect. There's even a foosball table outside that you can play. Parking is ample and free in the large lot though it can get busy since it's a popular plaza.

Ambiance was ok. Though it was a cool day so it was cold out and they had the a/c cranked up. Hard to feel comfortable. Service is at the counter then they bring you food. Staff was pleasant enough. There was almost no one there and it took a while for food to come out. My soup was warm but not hot, sandwich was piled with lettuce to seem big but slipped out and not much to the sandwich. We got two different ones and both agreed. My husband got the apple kale side and was not impressed. Food wise I might be ok coming back if I had to but give the value I would not rush to eat at another one.

Great salads, sandwiches and soups. I always feel like I am eating healthy, fresh food in there. I always double check the to-go orders to make sure no item is missing, bust mostly like to eat there because the restaurant is so cute and pleasant to be around others. I am satisfied with the amount of everything.

I ordered a pizza and it came out like a toast melted cheese with red sauce and that's it like what the heck was that I took my wife's chicken nuggets cause that was the only good thing

We got the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde and The Chimichurri Steak and Bacon sandwiches, both were great! Potato salad was also super tasty! Our food came out relatively fast and the girl who served us was really nice and brought up napkins when we asked (not realizing there was a napkin station). Definitely feels like you are eating in someone's upscale living room, I like the decor a lot. My ONLY qualm is that they do not have a soda machine. I remember the last time I came they carried real sugar cane sodas which was a huge draw for me.

First, I'd like to say the food here is delicious and I come all the time for lunches and dinner. I should probably give a good review for all the times I've come here and enjoyed the food but unfortunately this won't be it. I had their steak and bacon sandwich and found a 3 inch brown hair around the bacon. Unfortunately I am still thinking about how I was eating into someone else's hair. I called and they refunded my order which included the soup as well. They apologized several times. However, a refund is when you forget something in the order, not when you don't get to eat your lunch and you are forced to remember how gross eating someone else's hair is like. Not a great experience today.

Great, healthy spot. I usually order their salad with peaches (so yummy)! It's always a flavor bomb with healthy goodness. I recently ordered their salad Parmesan sandwich and it was pretty good, but *note* that it's a bit spicy (which I did not realize). I bought it for my kids and it was too spicy for them. Overall, it was a tasty sandwich. I usually order Uber eats from here or take out- so I cannot speak to the ambience. Service is pretty solid, in that they've never gotten my order incorrect! Solid spot and I will go back!

Best sandwiches and salads around. Not So Fried Chicken sandwich is delicious. Love the crunch of the Mendo krispies. Chicken is tasty and great combination of ingredients. I get the side tangy mustard. Ciabatta is the best here...soft and crunchy (you'll know when you try it). Prosciutto and chicken sandwich is also great. Big portion of prosciutto. Our favorite here is the Spicy Curried Couscous. Not matter what entree we order, we always get the couscous as well. Fountain drinks changed lately. They don't have fancy sodas anymore. They have tea and lemonades now. I actually prefer the sodas. The tea and lemonades are just okay.

I've heard so much about Mendocino Farms and was a bit hesitant because how good can sandwiches and salads really be? Apparently really good! My GF and I had no idea what to order but the cashier (who looked and kinda acted like Chris Pratt) was super helpful! We decided on getting: 1. Thai Mango Salad: SOOO GOOD! Fresh mangos and and chicken was amazing together. The dressing is really good as well. 2. Beet Salad: I didn't try it but I heard it was incredible and that it's their best salad. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, this placed was excellent and I loved the service. The cashier was so nice and so patience with us. The food is really high quality and delicious. If salads always tasted like this, I can eat it forever.

Our favorite place to get sandwich if we get cravings for eating sandwich. Our all-time favorite is no so fried chicken, Last time I was there they were placing new advertisements and they told me that they are introducing new sandwich called "Philly Shroomsteak" which uses purely plant-based patty. I went to try it today it was simply amazing. It looks like they import ingredients from New Zealand. This is a must try item. The service is top notch like always. The ambiance is too class. Just one complaint is that the "Philly Shroomsteak" felt small, may be because of this being very tasty.

I've been at several locations and they're all great. Expect to wait in line 10+ minutes Expect to wait for your food 15 minutes during lunch.

I hosted a kickoff holiday party for my new MeetUp Fun Diego Ladies group and couldn't have selected a more perfect venue! I absolutely love this plaza and was extra happy that Mendocino Farms is a part of it! For my visit, I ordered the quinoa salad with chicken breast and loved every bite of it! The ingredients were so fresh and the flavors were well balanced! The portion was very large too! I came here with my group of ladies (29 of us in total) and everyone of us were very pleased with our food! We got here early before they opened and were able to reserve the private room for our holiday party. They don't typically take reservations, but if you come early, you can claim your tables. We claimed the entire room and the staff was very nice to help us rearrange the tables and chairs. We had plenty of room for everyone to have a seat, and we had enough space to have our holiday fashion show and white elephant gift exchange. We each ordered and pay for our food at the counter, and the staff delivered food to our table. They were very quick, friendly, and efficient! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you host a large group and don't want to worry about splitting the bill. The plaza also has plenty of party, which makes it super convenient! Something really cool I noticed was there was a purse hook under the table, really great for us ladies!

Best lunch spot, we get this a lot for work. Love their salads, especially the modern Caesar salad, love their sandwiches, all of them, especially the chicken parm.

This place is a staple of mine because it is consistently good. Sizes are great. They follow instructions and if they accidentally make a mistake, they fix it. I love their salads, especially the kale and quinoa and the pink lady salad. The dressings are fabulous. They are excellent regarding special instructions. They do their best to accommodate, which I am really grateful for. The inside is clean and bright. They also have some nice outside seating. I highly recommend Mendocino Farms

Food is good. Service is spotty, but make sure that you check your bill if you use your credit card or debit card as the are automatically adding 20 percent tips into it without giving you the option at first to change it. Used my debit card and noticed the tip on the receipt even though I was never given the option to tip. I always tip, but this way not giving the customer the option is bad business practice and deceiving. Caution at your own risk.

Best Chicken caesar salad you'll ever have. I love caesar salad and this place takes the top for me. They don't use croutons, they use a blend of quinoa and other stuff to give you that crunch /texture besides the greens. They also give you a nice slab of avocado and fresh cherry tomatoes. Their portions definitely feel larger when dining in, I usually am still hungry when I eat the takeout version but always full when I dine in. They used to give some pita bread but now it seems they stopped or they stopped asking and maybe will give if you explicitly ask?

Not just a great sandwiches! Love healthy eating and love Mendocino Farms. I like good ol sandwich so I visit this place when I crave one. This time around we decided to try something different so we chose two different bowls from their menu. Before I tell you what we ordered, please know that it was delicious, well balanced, seasoned, and nicely plated meal. All ingredients combined in one bite got our palates happy. Here we go. Bowl one: Chimichurri Steak & Shishito Bowl - roasted, carved steak over ancient grains tossed with caramelized onion jam and chimichurri, baby spinach, roasted shishito peppers with broccolini, tomatoes and red onions, grilled lemon. It was perfect! Bowl two: Smoky Chicken Elote Bowl - Al pastor chicken, smoky corn and guajillo broth, zucchini, ancient grains, shredded cabbage, topped with tortilla strips, crema, cotija, pico de gallo, cilantro, and fresh lime. It was as great as the first bowl! That's it folks. You must try it!

Other locations are INCREDIBLE- but this one consistently lets me down. Tonight I got a chicken prosciutto sandwich & there was barely any chicken. At this point I paid $14 for bread, tomato, and a slice of prosciutto. I get that this location is busy, but that doesn't mean that the kitchen can slack on ingredients.

I just had AMAZING service from Aaron P. This guy was soooo pleasant and patient. We had a pretty complicated order and he handled it like a champ. We love the food here. Always consistent and delicious. The store is clean and has a fun play area for the toddlers. Keep it up, Mendocino Del Mar!

This is a through dash dash review which means it's hard to judge it fairly with out thinking about price. But since door dash over charges so much. I'll be neutral. I wanted something healthy. So we did the not so fried chicken. Which was awesome. The krispies add a crunch without all the grease from your regular fried chicken but the herb aioli really added a zing to it plus dipped in their mustard sauce. The Peruvian steak was also really delicious. Oxacan cheese added so much extra hmph to it. Another delight was their Chinese chicken salad. Plenty of chicken. Large portion and a zesty dressing. For the portion and freshness it's a little pricey. Usually half a sando and salad will fill me up but I honestly needed the entire meal. A three item meal for two will set you back a good amount. Four stars !

Good service and sandwiches. The Avocado & Quinoa salad is great option if you don't want a sandwich. The Bahn-Mi js very good! This is a great spot for families with some games. Makes it an inviting space for having kids with you.

Mendo did it again! The new turkey avo salsa verde is packed with flavor and not dry at all with the creamy avocado spread. Really like the smokey cotija cheese combined with the turkey and avocado. The salsa verde is quite spicy; I only needed a tiny bit of it.

I'm a big fan of Mendo Farms. They have many locations and they're all solid. This one is located in Del Mar with easy parking. Although the shopping center can get busy, it isn't hard to get in and out. The Not So Fried Chicken Salad and the Study of Heat Sandwich are two of my favorites. I always have to pair it with the curried cous cous side dish. When you eat here, you feel good because everything is fresh and light!

Fresh & flavorful ingredients are combined until unique combinations for sandwiches and salads. For example, my friend had the chicken prosciutto sandwich on ciabatta roll and it had almonds in the sandwich. It made it crunchy and tasty and added an extra kick to the sandwich. I will definitely be ordering that next time I am there. I never thought about adding almonds to my sandwich, but now I'm adding it to everything! What a great idea. I had the turkey avocado sandwich and it is so tasty! Again, their ingredients set them apart than a sandwich shop like Subway. They had pickled onions which I thought I would not like but it did add a lot of flavor and zing to the sandwich. And the herb aioli was tastier than just plain mayo. And I hate mayo! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Brian was our order taker, and he had so much life and fun to him! We had been waiting probably 25 minutes for our order just wondering what was going on and it turns out somebody had snatched my friend sandwich. When I brought it up to Brian, he was so apologetic, and rectified the situation immediately. I loved their menu and I'm looking forward to trying some of their salads next time I'm there. Each of their items have unique combinations, I think that's why they are so tasty and sets them apart from other sandwich shops.

The 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad is very misleading. The size of the salad is a joke, probably not even two bites.

First time trying out their mango salad, it's completely amazing! The sauce is very rich and a bit spicy. Glad that I asked for sauce on the side. Salad is super large, good value. The last time I was here I ordered their famous pork belly sandwiches, it was 5 star and plus. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you're health conscious, they offer so many delicious salads; if you want to indulge, they have pork belly sandwiches and among other local favorites. Very good prices compared to nearby restaurants. Very good service too!

My friend and I came to have lunch here. It is a cute little chain restaurant. I ordered the Pink Lady Beets & Goat Cheese Salad - I love beets and goat cheese! It was so delicious. My friend ordered the Countryside Cobb Salad - she loved it. I might try this next time since it has gruyere cheese and not blue cheese. Both salads presentations were so pretty. We both loved our salads here.

I first discovered Mendocino Farms from my office's catering and now I am a loyal customer. Usually salads are not craving-worthy for me but Mendocino's are MAGIC. Every salad I've tried so far is so flavorful and fresh ( impossible taco, beets lady, not-so-fried chicken, modern Caesar ). The sandwiches are pretty good too. The dining atmosphere is also very pleasant. 5/5 would recommend, and I hope wherever I go in the future there's always a Mendocino Farm

First time to Mendocinos, I got the avocado quinoa salad with chicken & bacon. It was good! I ordered it online for pickup, it was prepared when I arrived and staff were very friendly! They also put the dressing on the side which I love. Cute seating area to eat in, I went on a Sunday around 3pm and there was no line. For a quick healthy bite to eat it was a solid salad! Also packaged very well if you wanted to grab a few to go for a park or the beach!

Very disappointed in one of my favorite lunch spots today. Today I paid an extra $5.75 to substitute steak in my Banh Mi and literally got 2 slices of steak in total. So close to $20 for the sandwich and maybe 1oz of meat!! The steak in the Peruvian steak sandwich was also very scanty but at least I didn't pay extra. I understand the rising costs of food and labor but Id rather pay an extra .50 or even $1 for a sandwich to get the quality I'm expecting. I've been a loyal " Mendos" customer since I worked in Downtown LA almost 20 years ago and have been visiting the La Jolla and this Del Mar locations since they opened and I'm happy to see the chain flourish. In general the creativity and quality of the ingredients remains high although the size and substance of the sandwiches and especially the home-made soups are not quite to the standard of the original LA locations. (Those soups were made in-house and are tough to beat) Please don't take loyal customers like me for granted as even we have our limits and there are plenty of other options for a delicious quality lunch in the area.

What's happened to what was one of my favorite places for salads? Ordered two salads tonite and after getting home found lots of brown, wilted lettuce. Tried calling the store and emailing, but no way to reach a live person, so Yelp is what's left to provide feedback.

As always, the workers are so kind and quick with it! Spiced Curried Couscous- Sooooo good, been wanting to try for ao long, amazing texture and just such a fun thing to eat. Devon Carlson told me to try this! Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich- Not as good today, BUT i know what it usually tastes like... so I'm not disappointed. The texture is SOOOOOOOO AMAZING though, perfect bite with every bite.
