Mendocino Farms Review - South Lake Union - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Mendocino Farms is a California-based casual sandwich and salad chain that made its way to the lunch capital of Seattle: . And luckily for project managers and office assistants everywhere, the lunch options here are solid. That is, if you stick to the classics—like a tasty turkey club with bacon and avocado or a chicken pesto panini. But steer clear of their bland chicken parmesan, or “playful take” on bánh mì served between tough ciabatta. Use this place for an easy lunch if you’re in Amazon territory and need something quick and fresh, but be prepared to stand your ground against the hoards of Door Dashers waiting for their order to be called too.  " - Kayla Sager-Riley

Every time I think of a sandwich shop, I think I should just go to the store, get the ingredients, and make it at home myself. Well, I can safely say, sandwiches made at home don't compare to the amazing sandwiches you'll find here. If sandwiches aren't your thing, they have several types of food, ranging from sandwiches and salads to soups and more. Each offering comes in various flavors, based on chicken, beef, vegetables, or other typical options. One thing I didn't expect was how tasty and refreshing their juices would be. I was addicted to two of their lemonade flavors. The best part about this place is the flavor. It's like each ingredient is crafted almost to perfection, and carefully paired. I say 'almost perfect' because my steak sandwich was super tender with zero chewy pieces, while my partner's steak sandwich had a few chewy steak bits—not too many, though. Well, maybe I lied. The creativity and simplicity of the different flavors are also really great. Just wait until you try their salads. Absolutely delicious. I know this review is getting long, but I have to talk about their simple yet modern interior design. It really fits in well with the aesthetic of the Amazon SLU/Westlake area. I'm pretty sure they even have outdoor seating. It's a very cool area to have lunch outdoors.

A fresh and thoughtful spot that gets everything right! We stopped by Mendocino Farms for a casual meal and were pleasantly surprised by how well this place balanced health-conscious options with great flavor and exceptional service. Whether you’re craving a salad, sandwich, or a warm bowl of soup, this spot delivers on quality and experience. Ambiance: 5/5 The space is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. It has a cozy, modern vibe that encourages you to dine in and enjoy your meal, not just grab and go. Authenticity: 5/5 While Mendocino Farms isn’t traditional or ethnic cuisine, it stays true to its California-inspired, farm-to-table concept. You can tell they put effort into curating their menu with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Flavor: 5/5 The flavors were fresh and vibrant. The salad was well-balanced, the sandwich was packed with taste, and the soup was a comforting addition. It’s rare to find a spot where everything you order tastes this good and still feels healthy. Cost: 5/5 For the quality, portion size, and service, the prices are fair and justifiable. You’re paying for good ingredients and a welcoming experience—no complaints here. Service: 5/5 The staff went above and beyond. The person who brought our food even cleared our trays and plates when we were done, which is a level of attentiveness you don’t always get at fast-casual spots. Friendly, efficient, and thoughtful service throughout. Final Verdict: 5/5 Mendocino Farms nails it across the board—from their vibrant menu to their top-tier service. It’s a great place when you want something fresh, flavorful, and fast without sacrificing experience. I’ll definitely be returning.

Amazing sandwiches! I passed by and thought it looked good so why not try it out. I was very pleased. I had the chicken and prosciutto with pesto. Delish!!! I will be back for sure. Fast service too!

I love Mendocino Farms' location, right in the heart of Amazon’s buildings, making it an ideal lunch spot for Seattle Amazonians and nearby downtowners. I had often heard about Mendocino Farms but never had the chance to visit until now. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the interior design, decor, and overall atmosphere, both inside and out. Most importantly, the restaurant is impeccably clean and feels quite new. I also appreciated seeing an "Excellent" food safety rating posted at the entrance, which gave me even more confidence in dining there. One interesting thing I noticed during my visit was their mission: to WOW customers with unexpected flavors and exceptional friendliness. And yes, they absolutely deliver on that promise. The staff is incredibly friendly, though some seemed new and made a small mistake with my order. However, their kindness and positive attitude still made for an enjoyable dining experience. Ordering food at Mendocino Farms is quick and easy. The only downside is that the prices are on the higher side for sandwiches. That said, given the current inflation and the prime location in downtown Seattle’s Amazon hub, it makes sense. We decided to try two of their most popular sandwiches (the "Not So Fried" Chicken and the Peruvian Steak). While they may be a bit pricey, they were absolutely worth it. The flavors were incredible, and we were beyond satisfied. It’s hard to put into words just how good they were, but I highly recommend trying them. I am sure you’ll experience the WOW they promise in their mission. We also ordered their housemade guava lemonade. Oh my gosh, it was amazing! One thing to keep in mind is parking. It can be tricky since street parking is limited.

Google
I can't rate the service or atmosphere as I had this door dashed for dinner. But I can tell you the food was extremely excellent quality for a really solid price point. It was so fresh and filling and just wonderfully flavored. And if you're considering the basil pasta absolutely get it. Probably some of the best I've had !

I was in the area visiting the aquarium with a friend who suggested we try Mendocino Farms. Honestly, I wasn’t too excited at first—I thought it would be just another overpriced salad on bread. But I was in for a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Prosciutto and Chicken sandwich, and it turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The combination of balsamic glaze, almonds, and the generous portions of meat was incredible. And the fluffy, toasted bread—absolutely delicious and decadent. My friend opted for the kids’ pepperoni pizza, which was essentially pasta sauce, cheese, and pepperonis on pieces of toasted white bread. He also got a salad, which was actually the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich turned into a salad. I believe there’s an additional $2 charge for converting a sandwich into a salad, but it’s great that they offer that flexibility. I grabbed a can of Coke to go with my lunch, though their lemonades looked tempting. This location is at an intersection, so street parking isn’t ideal, but there’s a parking garage in the Amazon building nearby. The restaurant itself was super clean, and the staff was pleasant, making for a great overall experience.

I ordered a chicken salad to-go, only to find there was no chicken in it. I immediately called the restaurant, but no one answered—even after 30 minutes of trying. I then emailed them using the contact info on their website, saying they’d get back to me in 2-3 business days. It’s been over a week, and I still haven’t heard a word. Terrible service and a complete lack of accountability. They used to be one of my favorites.

Google
Amazing food.. a bit crowded during lunch however the queue is quick. Easy to order while in person, grab any seat, scan the QR and they bring the food to your table. Good choice of drinks available. Menu is interesting, the Mediterranean salad was perfect - a bit sweeter, tangy, crunchy. Will definitely be a regular here.

Yelp
If your mood is, "I'm in S Lake Union & I need a tasty, satisfying sandwich... nowish - this will solve all your problems. Never had a bad sammy here, and often some dang tasty ones. Big fan of the elote/spicy corn special. If anything - would appreciate more veggie options. The sauces/spicing is so good here that eggplant and mushroom as the center of the sandwich would be real tasty here.

Yelp
Mendocino Farms is a gem of a place--I absolutely love it! Their sandwiches are incredibly refreshing, and the location is perfect, with great seating options available. Recently, we tried their vegan happy hipper sandwich, and let me tell you, the beet caviar was a delightful surprise--so refreshing and unique! The portion size was generous for a single person, which I appreciated. The location is in the heart of Seattle downtown and the ambience at Mendocino Farms is casual and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a quick lunch with friends or colleagues. Whether you're grabbing a bite to eat in between meetings or catching up with friends over sandwiches, the laid-back atmosphere sets the stage for a relaxed dining experience. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to provide helpful recommendations. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their vegan options. Can't wait!

Yelp
Holy crap if I could give them 6 stars I would. Mind blowing friendly staff who legitimately loved their job to the most delicious food I've had in a long time. It's also very high quality and healthy and I eat extremely clean and my standards are high. Highly enjoyed the energy and the atmosphere as well. HIGHLY recommend this place

Yelp
I am such a huge fan of Mendocino Farms! This location is super convenient since it's in Denny Triangle, accessible by Belltown/SLU/Downtown. The servers are always happy to explain what is in each dish and help with substitutions. My go-to is the Avocado and Quinoa Superfood Salad. It has these delightful crunchies that really make the texture pop. I am not usually a huge fan of salads but all of the ones from Mendocino are creative and don't necessarily feel like a salad. I also got a seasonal salad (I believe the Farmer's Pesto Salad) which was really great with chicken added. Their salads also hold up pretty well for a day or two so you can even stretch it for two meals. Great place and will be back for more!

Yelp
The chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich was my favorite! My wife had the avocado quinoa salad, and the portions were very generous. Good ambiance , and friendly staff- will return.

Yelp
Overpriced mediocre sandwiches. People of Seattle seem to like it, but then again mediocre is about the best you can get here

Yelp
In town from California and was craving Mendocino Farms so decided to check this location out! We split the Peruvian steak sandwich and the chimicurri steak and bacon sandwich - my favorites. They were both tasty and both have great flavor, I love how fresh the produce is. The sandwiches are on the pricey side, $15.95 for each of ours. The service was good! The cashier helping us was very sweet. This location is very spacious and modern. It's clean too but I noticed that some tables weren't wiped off when we went to sit down. Will definitely be back when I'm craving a good steak sandwich!!

Yelp
Best sandwich in Seattle!! Mendocino Farms has a modern inside and great service. This is one of the best lunch places in the Seattle area to get a sandwich. We got the Peruvian Steak, Chimichurri Steak & Bacon sandwiches. These were both soooo good, and I would 100% get it again! The only negative thing about this place is that the sandwiches are $15 each. Also, the service was excellent, and all the workers were friendly! If you are looking for a sandwich place in Seattle and do not care about the price, this is the place to go.

Yelp
I'll start by saying the staff was very kind, but that unfortunately wasn't enough to push this review above a 1 star. The best thing I ate was a small potato salad. The flavor was great, but I felt robbed by the quantity. $3.50 for two forkfuls of potatoes and mayonnaise left me feeling empty. I placed a mobile order at 12, and then waited as 50 other people who ordered their food after me received their orders. Disappointed by how inefficient the ordering system was and by how staff handled the process. Overall just confused? Isn't the purpose of mobile ordering to reduce wait times?

Yelp
Tasty sandwiches that feel relatively healthyish! I didn't feel like cooking last night and decided to search for restaurants to order from when I came across a BOGO deal on DoorDash for Mendocino Farms' Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich. Now, normally I wouldn't spend so much on just a sandwich, but it was very reasonable for 2, so I decided to give it a try. I will say that I hadn't realized it was a cold sandwich. Despite that, it was extremely delicious and still ended up being the perfect meal! The veggies were slightly crunchy, and the chicken was just a little soft and quite flavorful. It contrasted perfectly with the mild sauces, and paired even better with the Tangy Mustard that I had chosen as my side sauce. Even though I wasn't too hungry initially, I found myself devouring the entire sandwich and feeling excited for my next meal. I do still feel that the regular price was a bit much for the sandwich, but the deal made it well worth it. Overall, if you're willing to splurge - this is the place to consider! However, if you're a bit strapped, I'd recommend waiting for similar deals.

Yelp
I've been back for the 4th time! Healthy sandwiches and delicious homemade lemonade! I've been to this location for dinner after 6pm for the first 3 times. The service was pretty fast. You order at the counter and they deliver it to your table after you scan the QR code at the table. We got our orders within a few minutes of sitting down. However, I went in for lunch during workday and the service was very slow. I ordered ahead and went for a pickup. My food wasn't ready until 3p minutes past my pick up time. The line was out the door so they were just getting too many orders in a short period of time. I tried 4 different types of sandwiches and they were all delicious. My friend, who's a vegan, loves this place. Get the lemonade too! All the flavors are yum!

Olivia S.

Yelp
Love this place! Service and food were great! Perfect place to stop in for a quick bite!

Yelp
Loved the Peruvian steak sandwich! Tasted great and at a pretty good price. Will be going back!

Yelp
Had the best experience here. The staff is super friendly and helpful! The young lady at the register recommended the happy hippi sandwich which was so good! Not totally sure her name but I think it was Madison, but very sweet and bubbly and super knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely recommend going here for lunch or a quick bite!

Yelp
Really good food! Love love love their curry couscous! My favorite. Their salads and sandwich game is also strong but more in the pricey side. Maybe because they've just recently opened, but the two times I went there... out of the three visits.. they got my order wrong and one time completely missed my order. We also had to wait quite a bit, which wouldn't have mind if I didn't have my tiny kids why it's taking so long. Luckily I was able to distract them with their yummy juices :) Would love to give them many tries again, but hopefully will get our order right the first time. Also low key wishing it would open on the Eastside ;)

Yelp
We ordered delivery from this restaurant for an in-office meeting. So this review isn't for their service, ambiance, or dining-in experience. The sandwich I got was good, not amazing or anything but good. I think it would have been better if the meat didn't have the ...meat....taste (not...the good meat smell....) But I understand that it was a delivery and I am sure this wouldn't have been an issue if I actually ate this at the restaurant. I thought they did a bit overboard on the mayo/sauce (that some folks may not like) but I did not mind! What I really liked was the sesame bread they used. Definitely recommended. Next time I will pay them a visit and try the sandwich fresh.
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Pricey (1 sandwich = $14) but you're paying for high quality and attention to detail. I got the chicken parm sandwich and it is an amazing combination of flavors: basil, perfectly toasted sesame bun, and marinara sauce. It's excellently made and I would definitely come back. One thing to be aware of: the sandwich itself is small, so consider ordering something else too if you have a large appetite.

Yelp
Oh my God, when I heard that Mendocino Farms was coming to Seattle, I could not contain my excitement! They are everywhere in the bay area and Los Angeles, and I was seriously missing my Mendo!! This place is more than five stars! The thing is, it's in South Lake Union, so if you're gonna come here at lunchtime, you might as well pre-order otherwise you're gonna be waiting a long time - so if you just waltz in here during the work week on your lunch break, don't get all up in arms when it's a long wait time. It looks pretty much like every other Mendocino Farms, and I love the big mural on the wall. Every person I've ever interacted with their is very polite and helpful. I always order ahead using My Mendo account and it's really nice if they have my past orders in my history, so I can quickly re-order my favorites. Every time I have ordered ahead this far my order has been ready on time. Well, I've tried some of the other salads and sandwiches (which are all deliciously tasty), my heart belongs to the Avocado quinoa salad, with chicken. I could eat it every single day. I Mendo!

Yelp
This was my first time trying Mendocino Farms and I was very impressed! I normally don't get salads when eating out but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this salad was! PINK LADY BEETS & GOAT CHEESE SALAD - 4.5/5 We ordered the Pink Lady Beets and goat cheese salad. The combination of flavors and different textures was delicious. I liked the crunchy Romaine lettuce and greens tossed in citrus vinaigrette - very tangy and refreshing. The beets were light and tender and added an earthy quality/ sweetness to the salad. The thin green apple slices were also a nice touch, as they added a crispy tart kick. I really enjoyed the honey roasted almonds (wish there was more of it). I didn't enjoy the chicken as much, as the texture was a bit too soft to my liking and some pieces were too salty. I realized they forgot to put goat cheese in our salads but would imagine it to be a very good as well.. The service was good and the food came out relatively quick. For dine in, you pick a table to sit at and scan the QR code to enter a code from your receipt, so that they know where to bring the food. The place had a nice ambiance and was clean and well maintained. There were many tables inside/ outside and the place wasn't too busy during dinner time on a Friday. Did I mention they are dog friendly?!! I will definitely visit again to try their other salads!

Yelp
I've never been happier -- one of my absolute favorite sandwich spots from California opened its doors in Seattle! It's a trendy, upscale sandwich spot which truly lives up to the hype IMHO. I can sing praises about pretty much anything on this menu, which is great for a vegetarian. While the prices are a little high, I honestly think that the flavor and portion size makes up for it. It's nestled right into the heart of SLU, which means its perfect for grabbing a quick, healthy dinner or snack post-work. The shop has been BUSY, so definitely just keep that in mind or try to order ahead. My personal favorite is the Vegan Banh Mi -- SO much flavor packed into a vegan sandwich, I am obsessed. All of the sides are delicious too, but special shoutout to Spicy Curried Couscous and Oaxacan Potato Salad.
google avatar

Libby W.

Yelp
This is based on delivery, so can't comment on what it's like inside. We got the Happy Hippie, Chicken Parm Dip, and a few sides - tomato basil soup, noodle salad, potato salad, and basil pesto shells. Everything held up pretty well for delivery (the Happy Hippie gets a little soggy, but was still intact), and was bagged well. Sides were tiny but tasty. Especially liked all the dill in the potato salad. The Happy Hippie clearly had super fresh, quality ingredients, and they do not skimp - see photo. But I only ate one half and gave the other half to my bf. Maybe the flavor combo just isn't for me. I ended up liking the sides better than both sandwiches, but all in all, it's pretty good. I'd be down to order something from them again.

Yelp
When I heard that Mendocino Farms was opening a new location in South Lake Union, I had to check it out. I had heard lots of good things about it from my friends who lived in California, but I had never actually tried it! I came during dinnertime, when there was only handful of people there so I barely had to wait in line. I ordered a chimichurri steak bacon sandwich with a side of spicy curry couscous. The wait for the food to be delivered was a bit long, but not unbearably so. The sandwich was super delicious, and was packed with loads of sautéed bell peppers (which I absolutely loved) and steak. There was a bit less bacon than I would have wanted, but the sandwich was already fairly packed. The sandwich bun was peppered with sesame seeds on the crust, which added a really nice bit of texture to the bread, and the sauce on the sandwich had a nice balance of creaminess and a bit of spiciness. Overall, a fantastic sandwich. The spiced curry couscous was really good at first, but I quickly got tired of it. While the flavors were rich and robust, at the end of the day the entire thing was just one flavor and one texture. The texture was also a bit mushy, which definitely didn't add anything in the texture department. Overall, the star of my dish was definitely the sauteed bell peppers and sesame seeds on my sandwich which was stellar. I will definitely be coming back here, but maybe for just the sandwiches.

Yelp
This is the first Mendocino Farms location in the state of Washington in the SLU area. I've been to Mendocino Farms multiple times when I lived in California but my girlfriend was excited to finally have one closer to us. We ordered our food online for pickup. We got the chimichurri steak & bacon ($15.20), sweet heat crispy thai chicken ($13.65), and the avocado & quinoa superfood ensalada ($13.35). The chicken sandwich was tart from the pickled daikon and carrots, and the chicken was air-fried and not deep fried. The two sandwiches were both good but I preferred the steak & bacon more. I liked the meatiness of the steak and the bacon along with the herb aioli. The toasted sesame roll was a lot better at holding up the sandwich than the brioche bun for the chicken sandwich. The sandwiches were on the smaller side so you if you're like me you might need a side along with a sandwich or salad to make you full, but they tasted good. We're glad that we have this location now and can come back to eat their other sandwich offerings.

Yelp
I was ecstatic when I found out that Mendocino Farms would be opening a location in Seattle. I loved this place in California, and aside from Sweetgreen, it's my favorite salad place. I am currently working through the entirety of the menu here because everything is just so tasty. I'd definitely recommend the chicken parm dip - it's a chicken Parmesan in a sandwich that comes with marinara sauce to dip. It's the perfect hearty meal. I also love the steak sandwich with chimichurri sauce. Because this place is so new, it's been consistently crowded when I visit and service takes a bit long. However, the staff seem efficient and are quite friendly. Online ordering is definitely the way to go.

Yelp
The restaurant was a little loud. You order from the counter and they deliver your food to your table, You have to scan QR code at your table so they know your location. A little different. Our food took a while and didn't come out at the same time. The soup was just ok, a bit bland. The gluten free bread was maybe the worst I have had. I know it often falls apart, but the texture was like eating sand. Needless to say I did not eat the bread. Might have been better off ordering a salad. Positives-the staff was nice and helpful.

Yelp
I missed this chain so much when I moved away from CA and I am SO glad this chain has moved it's way up to WA! Sandwiches, Soups, Sides, Salads - all made with wholesome ingredients. ($15-18) I built my own salad and it was fresh and tasted great :) The hand shaved steak is fully cooked with no pink - wish it had some pink. Ordered online and it was prepared quickly and was perfectly packaged.

Yelp
Omg, I've literally been waiting for what feels like years for Mendocino to open in SLU. I'm a big fan of the Mendos I've visited in California, and I already know I'm going to be frequenting the new SLU location a lot. After you order, you need to scan the QR code at whatever table you pick and then enter the number given on your receipt, so that they know where to bring your food out to. I've tried the "not so fried" chicken sandwich with tangy BBQ sauce and the chicken parm dip at this location so far, and both were really good, would definitely recommend either one! The "not so fried" chicken sandwich would've been a bit dry if you opt to eat without the sauce though IMO. I really like the ambiance of this Mendo, it has large floor to ceiling windows that can also slide open, so it feels really open and refreshing on a nice day. They also have a designated location/shelves for pick up orders, which is nice. There's only 2 cashier stations though, and the overall area for lining up to order is quite short, so I feel like if it gets busier, there might be a bit of a crowd. Hopefully it's something they figure out, as they just opened. The surrounding area is definitely pretty busy, so it could be tough finding parking depending on when you come. There is an Amazon building just across the street with free parking on the weekends and in the evenings on weekdays.

Yelp
Not bad reminds me of a fancier Panera. I went to the grand opening today (5/17/23). They had free goodie bags for the first 100 customers and were ready for a big turn out. The main issue I saw was that there are only 2 checkouts for the entire restaurant so if you don't want to wait forever you should just order online and pick it up. I saw one of the workers eating a salad as I waited so I ordered the same salad, which was the Thai Mango Salad. The portion was definitely big/generous, and I really liked the herbs and crunchies in it. I thought that the ramen noodles were not needed as they were super soft as I was expecting them to be more crispy and not cooked. The drinks are unique as there are no sodas but just "handmade" drinks like 3 lemonades and 1 green juice. The food was good I have no complaints but there deli options aren't advertised on the menu so it is kind of confusing. If you want to check this place out order online to skip the line in person.

Yelp
I Ordered salad with no onion by Uber, it came with tones of onions Last time no utensils was in the bag. They go above and beyond every time to disappoint.

Yelp
Atmosphere: 5/5 We've been to Mendocino Farms 3 or 4 times already! It's always super bustling when we go and the workers are always busy. The interior is spacious, clean, and overall has positive, welcoming vibes. Seating is adequate (indoor and outdoor) but I could see it getting busy during peak times. If you dine in, you order at the counter, then you can find a table, scan the QR code on that table, and they will bring your food to you. Service: 4/5 We were acknowledged right away at our first visit and our online order was on time. However, for our second visit, we ordered pick up through the UberEats app but waited 20-30 mins after our promised pick up time. That's fine - they seem to have been super busy that day, and we've gotten our food promptly for our other visits. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged us when we came to pick up our order that day and we had to flag someone down to get an update when we saw that our food wasn't on the pick up shelf. We were ignored otherwise. Food: 5/5 Food has been amazing - the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I'd say it's similar cuisine to Panera Bread, but the price you're paying is actually justified unlike Panera Bread (LOL!) Our favorites are the Impossible Taco Salad and the Thai Mango salad. Haven't tried enough of their sandwiches to make an opinion. We usually pay around $35 for two meals, no drinks. Location: 4/5 Located around Denny Triangle - convenient walking distance for a lot of workers in the nearby area, but can be difficult to get there by car due to lack of street parking. 4.5 stars overall average but we will round up :-)

Yelp
I always welcome new restaurants opening up in the Southlake Union area, and Mendocino Farms seems to be fitting in well. Good location, friendly service, good food. I came here on a Thursday evening around 5:30 PM and there is only one other person in line waiting to order. the staff is very friendly and willing to help offer recommendations or help you find the type of food you're in the mood for. A friend of mine gave me a BOGO coupon that they had been distributing outside their store previously. I ended up ordering two salads - the Thai Mango and Mama Chen's Chinese Chicken Salad (to go). Both had good flavor and a nice crunch. I never find salads filling so I was still hungry afterwards but I did enjoy the meal itself. I can see this place being bottlenecked by just 2 registers but there is the online ordering option to help save time if you're in a rush. I felt the prices were expensive ($15 for a salad) but I suppose those are the times were in. I'd definitely return with friends if in the area. The spot as a whole gives me homegrown vibes - very farm to table or fresh ideals. There is a large open area with plenty seating outside.

Yelp
We got Mendocino catered in for a work lunch and holy moly - I'm asking for this place every time we order food at work. I tried the chimichurri steak sandwich and a side of spicy curried couscous. That spicy couscous was to. DIE. FOR!!!!!!! Literally the tastiest thing I've eaten in a while. My sandwich was good - the bread was a little hard but the filling was delicious. I can't wait to order this again!

Yelp
I absolutely love Mendocino farms. Their salads are always on point. I usually order their caesar salad and ask for the restaurant to have the dressing tossed in (makes a huge difference.) The only downside is parking - but the again.. it's downtown so what would I expect. I still would drive here all the way from the Eastside just to come eat!

Yelp
I am not usually one to splurge on a salad, but there's been enough hype around the new Mendocino Farms location has been loud enough I had to give it a try. First off the space is bright and open. I went in between typical mealtimes so it was very quiet. The cashier was great, after I was staring in confusion at the menu for long enough he offered help and walked through the top menu items. I landed on the Thai Mango Salad and loved it. Great portion and the variety of textures and flavors was awesome! The only thing that kept me from a full 5 stars was the pricing since over $20 for a salad and chips is a little wild for me.

Yelp
David Poke Thank you for the two salads one with dots one with extra dots. The title company of San Mateo resides at macy's backstage. Good luck, Chipotle. Extra lettuce.

Yelp
I really don't know what has happened with the management of mendo but the last two times I went were really bad and I take no pleasure in writing this review as I was always a mendo fan. First of all never ever mobile order they push back your order by an hour plus. Last time we waited an extra 35 minutes beyond their ETA. After I waited 45 minutes my sandwich was cold and soggy and tasted not up to par. It was also there most famous sandwich the bahn mi which normally is knock out. They refunded me after I called but... really hope they get it together soon. I won't be back anytime soon for the price I can't justify the lack of quality, timeliness, and service.

Yelp
So happy to see Mendocino farms in Washington! I first tried Mendocino farms in San Mateo, CA after seeing rave reviews on all their locations and wanting to try it for myself. Their sandwiches are loaded with ingredients and are bursting with flavor. You should definitely check out their app and I'm sure you'll be back after one try, so might as well enjoy the perks! On this visit I tried the Peruvian steak sandwich and spicy curried couscous. AMAZING! They describe their couscous as addictive golden pearls of epic flavor and I would definitely agree. This was not a winner for my husband though but as a huge curry fan, it's perfect to me and I was happy to finish his portion. It's a small single side dish anyway. This sandwich was also really good. Tons of steak and so much flavor oozing out of it. I'd easily order it again but now I have my eye on the hot honey peach and prosciutto sandwich and will need to come back asap.

Yelp
Great food, but they have some serious wait time / capacity issues to iron out. I placed a scheduled delivery order through their website for a lunchtime meeting (~11 people). Mendocino Farms partnered with UberEats to deliver my order. The UberEats driver arrived at the restaurant around 15 mins prior to the scheduled delivery time, texted me and let me know the order wasn't ready yet. The driver kept me updated on the status, letting me know that the restaurant was absolutely slammed and there were many other delivery drivers just like him waiting for their orders. The order wasn't ready until over 45 minutes past the scheduled delivery time. All in all, the driver was at the restaurant for over an hour waiting for my order. Walk-in orders were apparently also waiting over an hour for their orders. Seriously, Mendocino Farms needs to figure out how many scheduled orders they can actually handle along with walk-in orders during peak lunch time. They are overpromising by accepting way more scheduled orders than they can get out on time. They make the customer and delivery driver pay for their poor planning with long wait times, not to mention their staff members who probably don't have enough hands to handle the insane order load. What's going on now is not sustainable. Also, about the delivery driver that they summoned to the restaurant an HOUR before our order was ready -- this seems like a very simple problem to fix... just, don't tell UberEats you're ready for a driver until you actually are? It was not at all respectful of the driver's time to send them to the restaurant that early.

Yelp
Really good food, their couscous is AMAZING! The service was fast and straightforward. We had to scan some barcode when dining in, however the process wasn't stressful. Food quality was also really good. I gave three stars however because I was disappointed in how I got onions when I stated that I'm allergic. I take my allergies very seriously so this was a big red flag.

Yelp
Came again to sit down on a Saturday afternoon. It was not crazy busy at all. It was really chill and clean. Order at the counter and sat at a table. You need to scan the QR for them to find your table so they can bring the food to you. Loved their version of the chicken parm. It had a very nice spicy kick to it. This hot sandwich is one of my all time favorites. Definitely a staple of mine. The salad was a nice light balance. I asked for more dressing to get more coverage on the chicken and wontons. 10/10 for food!

Yelp
Popped in today for the soft opening and this place seems like a promising addition to the SLU food scene. I was able to sample the spicy curried couscous and not so fried chicken sandwich, which is one of their specialties. The curried couscous was amazing and super flavorful with just a hint of spice. I would totally devour this again. The chicken sandwich was also good and different since it's not actually fried. It just has these crispy crunchies to give the illusion of fried chicken. Service was great and you can tell the staff is trying to find their groove. I'm excited to return and try some of their other salads and sandwiches!

Yelp
My husband and I like stopping by for a quick meal. Prices are reasonable given Seattle pricing. Our favorites include the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde, Chicken Parm, and Sweet Heat Crispy Thai Chicken. Keep in mind that portion sizes vary significantly between the different sandwiches (the turkey avo is almost double the size of the chicken parm). The Turkey Avo has a fresh flavor with the chilis and packs a little heat. The salsa verde is usually skipped for us. The Chicken Parm comes with a delicious red sauce dipping sauce but is excellently seasoned even without the side sauce! The Sweet Heat Crispy Thai Chicken is spicier than I would expect an American place to serve but paired with a refreshing slaw within the sandwich. Overall, a really solid place to stop by for a quick eat. It can definitely get busy on weekday lunches due to the employees in the area.

Yelp
They are trying, but you should skip it for now at lunch. It took them 40 minutes to make me a sandwich--15 more than they told me it would take. They were giving some folks free entree coupons to apologize but I guess 15 minutes past when they tell you it will be ready is not enough for that. I don't even want to know how long those folks waited... Give them a few months to work out the kinks.

Yelp
Great lunch spot in SLU. The soup, salad, and sandwich, game can get boring, but MF does this right. I went for the quinoa salad. Delicious, funky crunch made me think I was eating pop rocks for a sec, but it was all good. My friend swears by the impossible chorizo taco salad. Best part is the price. One of the cheapest lunches in the area.

Yelp
I can't think of a better sandwich spot than mendocino farms! The flavors really pop into your mouth. Good portion sizes too, I was really full. i really loved the not so fried chicken sandwhich!

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup and got completely wrong food. I glanced in the bag when I grabbed it, but it wasn't until I unwrapped the food that I saw they messed up. It was a pretty simple order -- no customizations or anything. I checked my receipt and what was listed on the bag and it was all pretty clear and what I had ordered, so not sure how they could get this so wrong. Called them to let them know and the person who answered the phone was very nice and said the manager should give me a refund and that I'd get an email soon to confirm. Haven't gotten a refund yet so I'm not optimistic they'll make good on their promise. ETA: They responded to my google review and asked me to email them. So I did but haven't heard back. Seems like a whole lotta extra work they're putting onto customers when this is a pretty simple solution -- just make good on the promise made when I first called!

Yelp
Probably the best tomato basil I've had (besides my own) Very fresh and tasty. Definitely recommended on your order in order to delivery. Also ordered chicken pesto Caprese .... Very tasty also, grilled well and love the exact amount of roasted peppers. Yum. I ordered Door Dadh and it worked out very well.

Yelp
...let my salad sit on the counter for 20min because they failed to write 'to go' on the order. Make yourself clear otherwise its soggy salad for $18

Yelp
Order at least 25 minutes in advance. Quality is on point but the wait between 12-1pm is about 40 minutes. Either come before 12 or after 1. Order online ( usually takes 25 minutes, well worth it)
