LAPD Arrests Three Suspects Related to Lincoln Heights Taco Stand Shooting | Eater LA

"Los Angeles Magazine wrote about Japanese chain Menya Hanabi’s arrival to Arcadia and its Taiwanese-style mazesoba, a brothless ramen filled with soy sauce, dried seaweed, a raw or poached egg, and pork." - Mona Holmes

Japan Ramen Chain Menya Hanabi Opens First U.S. Location in LA | Eater LA

"Opening July 28 in an Arcadia strip mall, this Nagoya-born shop (founded in 2008 by Naoto Niiyama, the original pioneer of mazesoba) is making its U.S. debut with its signature mazesoba — a Taiwanese-influenced, broth-less ramen topped with spicy minced pork, fresh garlic, a raw egg yolk, seaweed, and dried fish powder that diners mix together before eating. Niiyama says the “dry ramen explodes with flavor,” and the dish is billed as having a more intense, umami-forward profile than typical ramen. With more than two dozen international locations, the brand emphasizes producing a consistent product without sacrificing quality; the Arcadia outpost will stick close to the original menu while offering more side items and a modern, industrial interior touched with Japanese influences. The restaurant will be open seven days a week, serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m." - Cathy Chaplin

Where to Eat Broth in New York City

"Although mazemen is typically brothless, I appreciated a rare exception here: a shallow yuzu dashi made of clam juice and yuzu that carries thick noodles, thickly cut cabbage, garlic, kombu, and a generous helping of Italian vongole—essentially a Japanese-style linguine and clams." - Nikita Richardson

Google
The service is excellent for such a crowded restaurant. Servers move efficiently through tight spaces and have great memory. The food is also fresh, the broth is a little on the salty side but fine for me. If you are from the bay area peninsula, think Kajiken.

Google
This noodle place has simple menu and very tasty food. I ordered their deluxe Nagoya mazesoba noodle and homemade matcha. Every bite made me wanting more.

Google
Deluxe mazemen - 4.25 stars Great bonito-based flavour with umami like a tonkotsu ramen. Too salty though. Curry mazemen - 4 stars Appreciated that this was less salty, with a curry flavour less sweet than the usual Japanese curry too. On the milder side.

Google
Love the food, I initially doubted the portion size but it turned out to be more than enough. Downside is that it gets really packed whenever I go there and there's at least 30+ minutes of wait, and be prepared for your food to come out a little later than you'd expect. Come with some company and you're good.

Been swinging by this spot more often lately—especially with the hotter weather, I’ve been seriously craving their noodles. It had been a while since my last visit, but I’m glad I came back. You order through a QR code at the table, and my go-to is the Deluxe Mazemen—basically a dry Japanese noodle bowl loaded with toppings. The flavors are deep, rich, and full of umami. It can get a little heavy, but that’s where the vinegar comes in—just add a splash to balance it out. The chashu pork in the deluxe is tender and flavorful, and the noodles are always cooked just right. Once you finish most of your noodles, you can ask for a free scoop of rice to mix with the leftover toppings—a perfect way to round out the meal. Lately, I’ve also been enjoying their broth (I think it’s chicken and pork based)—a warm, comforting finish after all that richness. Solid spot, definitely worth checking out if you’re craving something savory and satisfying.

Google
Mazesoba is definitely the highlight of the restaurant. We tried a few different variations, and all were unique and flavorful. The regular ramen is decent, but not particularly standout. Note: The mochi noodles taste the same as the mazesoba noodles…

Google
Tried Menya Hanabi for the first time. Got seated at the counter. Staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba with side of broth. Popped the egg and mixed it up. Pretty good first impression taking the first bite… very flavorful, and the noodles were cooked just right for my taste, not overcooked, just slightly firm. Sipping the side of broth between every few bites serves as a good balance with the full flavor of the noodles. Overall a good experience. I would recommend checking this place out if you’ve never visited.

Google
Credit where credit is due, the food is really good. Everything fried was really crispy. The Karaage had a crispy crust, but the actual meat was juicy. The noodles aren't ramen with soup, but they tend to specialize in more Tsukemen style noodles (gravy, instead of broth). Staff was professional in front of you at least. Personally, I'm not a fan of the decor, but I'm sure there are people that will like it.

Yelp
Mazesoba is so bad when done wrong but SO good when done right and menya does it right!!! Get the deluxe for the amazing egg (Ajitama) that comes perfectly jammy and savory but almost sweet. Went here on a Sunday night and waited about 20 minutes for a group of 4. The place has a waitlist usually and you can't leave your number so have to wait there. You order through a QR code and they bring it to your table. It is casual but perfect for the Japanese quick noodle vibe it is going for. The noodles here are extremely bouncy and chewy. They have great flavor and the sauce left at the end is so flavorful that it can be added to some rice to make a great bowl of fried rice at the end. I got the deluxe and my partner got the curry. The curry is quite strong and spicy, so would avoid unless you can handle the heat. I preferred the regular. I recommend adding the vinegar as it adds a nice brightness to the noodles!!!

Yelp
Rich, flavorful, filling. I get the vegan mazesoba, no onion (between the green onions, chives, and chopped onions, it's a lot of onion). My husband likes the deluxe mazesoba which is meaty and smokey. The mochi noodles are perfectly chewy, the sauce never greasy. Towards the end of your meal, the servers will ask if you'd like rice to sop up the rest of your sauce. My friends like the squid leg appetizer but I recommend saving room for the mazesoba. Get there for an early lunch to avoid a wait. Ambiance is causal and lively.

Yelp
Finally tried Menya Hanabi - the Original Nagoya Mazesoba! The servers and hosts were very kind and attentive, constantly asking if we needed anything. The restaurant was clean and modern, and for coming on a Friday at 12pm, we were glad to find there was no wait! Ordered the lunch special: each of us got a Chashu Nagoya Mazesoba with a homemade iced matcha latte. We also added a broth on the side of one of our dishes for $1.79, which was totally worth it. The mazesoba was amazing. If Taiwanese minced pork and Japanese tsukemen and a baby, it would be this dish. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the noodles were perfectly al dente yet chewy. The broth was hot and comforting, a perfect way to wash down all the noodles. I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic and delicious the homemade matcha latte was. 5/5 overall experience, and I can't wait to come back for another bowl!

Yelp
We don't have many places like this around here. I love the dry ramen bowls (prefer it over soup)! Went a little earlier in the evening and was seated without a wait.

Yelp
I like their original mazesoba, but when you can't take garlic you can take this spicy cod roe noodle. It was very good, light, but flavorful. The amount of cod roe was very generous. On a weekday lunch time, it took 15-20 min which is not bad at all. The server is nice and attentive. They let us take 3 split bills.

Yelp
Finally had the opportunity to try this place out, seen it many times on social media (yup, they got me good). Come here early if you don't like waiting in lines. I got here 5-10 mins before dinner time opening. Also would recommend getting your order in ASAP if you're hungry as they are a little slow. They do seem to handle a lot of take out orders so diners have that cooking time to compete with. Chicken karaage- big, juicy pieces. I thought this was the winner of the place. Lots of meat, not a lot of fried. Don't find this level of karaage often so I would suggest if you like fried chicken with more meat, juicy and tender and not too floured up... do get this! -Seasonal mentaiko noodle... this one is served cold, I added some tofu for some added protein. This was delicious, noodles are just perfectly cooked and it's nice and creamy. -their signature soup less noodle. I had a bite and maybe it was because I had my cold noodle with me, it was tasty, yes - but felt like it was a little salty (I guess it is technically ramen. Good overall, it's not a great place to take your time in, cute spot for a tasty meal, there's a little bar if you're eating solo. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
Came here at night just early enough to beat the crowd. I ordered the original with spicy pork and poached egg. There was no comment option on the ordering app, so I had to tell the waiter to specify putting tare (soy sauce) on the side. My friend did not order the soy sauce to be on the side, and her noodles were overwhelmingly salty. We had to mix her noodles with mine to make them edible. The noodles were springy and the flavours were robust when all the toppings have been mixed together. The rice at the end was also really nice when mixed with the leftover sauce. The restaurant was clean and the waiters were friendly. I liked the food overall, but I think the default salt level should be lowered since the unmodified noodles were way too salty for both of us.

Yelp
I love mazesoba and Menya Hanabi is a must try for any saucy noodle fans! I'm glad I got the deluxe because the added toppings really enhance the dish, given how everything is mixed together for flavor. The food came out hot and fast, and the servers were checking in frequently enough to make sure our waters were never empty. The restaurant itself feels a little dingy, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to maintain this level of quality at this price. Not to mention the portions! I was stuffed from a single dish and they even offer free rice to soak up any leftover sauce after you're done. If you're in town, come hungry and then some, because Menya Hanabi will absolutely leave you satisfied.

Yelp
First time I had Menya Hanabi I was blown away with how much flavor was in their Mazesoba! I have since returned several times, and even more for takeout. My go-to is their Deluxe. It comes with chashu, nori, spicy minced pork, green onions, chives, fish powder, seaweed, garlic, and a poached egg. I get the chashu chopped up so it's distributed more evenly when I gobble up the dish. Also, don't forget the free scoop of rice to kill the ingredients at the bottom of your bowl if you're dining in! It's a lot of food...so I took this part home for a midnight snack. (NO RAGRETS!) Another favorite is their Karaage chicken appetizer. It's perfectly fried for a crispy shell with tender and juicy inside. It's a nice shareable item if you're there with a group. Another extra I enjoy ordering is their side of broth. It has great depth of flavor making it an amazing side to go with the mazesoba. All the servers were very nice and accommodating every time I've visited. No complaints there. I highly recommend checking out Menya Hanabi! Come early or brace yourself for the waitlist.

Yelp
We came during peak dinner hours on a Friday night and had to wait about 20-30 minutes outside before being promptly seated. The restaurant was absolutely packed, but service moved quickly. I think our food arrived within 15 minutes, which was impressive given the crowd. That said, if the wait ever feels too long, I'd definitely recommend just getting your order to-go. It tastes just as good and is a solid option if you're short on time or patience. My go-to order: The Original - 9/10 The protein portion in this dish really holds its own--you don't need to add extra meat. I've tried the Chashu version before, and while the two thick slabs were good, they felt a bit over-the-top for my taste. But hey, if you're into a meatier bite, go for it. Pro tip: Pour some vinegar over the noodles and mix it all up. The acidity cuts through the richness perfectly, and it helps the sauce cling to the noodles for that ultra-satisfying slurp. Game-changer.

Yelp
Food was so good I forgot to take a before photo. Sauce was good, very flavorful, just felt like it was a bit salty at times. The noodles were firm and not soggy but I do wish there was a bit more. Chasu was forgettable and dry. Plus they throw in the rice at the end. Calm luh spot.
google avatar

Michelle X.

Yelp
This review is long overdue! I had never tried mazesoba before coming here and was instantly hooked. Got the deluxe bowl, which comes with half-boiled egg and chashu - both cooked to perfection. The noodles had that perfect chewy bite and the entire dish was bursting with flavor, especially after mixing in some vinegar. They even bring out a small scoop of rice at the end so we can soak up every last bit of the sauce! It's become one of my favorite spots in the area. Small restaurant with a handful of tables and booths, but the wait list moves quickly. Parking is a breeze since it's located in a plaza and the service has always been consistently solid.

Yelp
This has been on my radar for years, but for some undefendable reason I waited until now to go. We popped in on a Saturday, arriving at 5:25 for 5:30 opening, and there was already a line! Fortunately we got seated in the first batch of diners, but be warned: after all these years, this restaurant is still massively popular. And for good reason. We started with the Tofu Nanban, which being topped with tartar sauce, reminded me a lot of delicious fish. We both ordered Mazesoba--my girlfriend had the original, and I had the deluxe. When you mix in the poached egg, it makes a delicious creamy sauce to coat the thick chewy noodles. It's fantastic. They will even give you rice at the end of your meal to finish off the sauce but we managed to slurp it all up with the noodles.

Yelp
Great place for mazesoba or brothless ramen. Full of flavor and aromatics. Relatively small restaurant. Started off with the creamy potato croquette. Crispy outside but the inside could've been warmer. Thought it would have liquid creaminess but seems to be just mashed potato inside. I got the deluxe bowl which came with couple tender and seared pork chashu. Noodles were perfect and had lots of green onions. nori, and garlic. Full of flavor when mixed and had vinegar or pepper on the side to be added to your taste. Comes with a mini scoop of rice at the end to absorb in all the remaining flavors from the bowl. Would come back again if I am craving some mazesoba. Service is a bit slow, and food took a while to come out on a slow evening. Plenty of parking in this plaza.

Yelp
This is one of my go to dry ramen spots! It's a cute little shop with about 15 ish tables for seating. You order on your phone which is pretty cool and they bring the food to you. Usually the food comes pretty quick but idk why today it took them so long to bring the food out. But normally it's good so I'll give them a pass this time. I usually order the deluxe to share with my partner since this bowl is HEAVYYY lol and we order extra meat on the side. It is enough to make us full! The flavor of the ramen is so good. A mix of umami and savory. Don't forget to also add the vinegar bc it makes such a big diff. It makes the overall dish less heavy/rich so you don't get tired of it. They also give you a complementary rice after to eat with the remaining sauce which is a great ending to the meal. Def a place I would go back to when I'm hungry and craving that umami!!

Yelp
Came last night & the food was good! We got the Original Nagoya Mazesoba & Karage Bowl! The noodles were tasty & I loved the texture. It was a bit too salty for me but that can be adjusted when ordering. I really like the balance of the bowl of rice when finishing the noodles! The karage is such a great value for the quality of chicken. It all came out so fresh & hot!

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this spot which specializes in Mazesoba. Very unique spot with moderate number of seating with counter space seating as well. Interior is pretty clean despite how busy this place is. Parking is free & plentiful in this huge plaza. This place is very popular and almost always has a wait-list, no reservation. However the line doesn't mean much since the staff goes by list order on the wait-list, signup in the front fast!! Staff is accommodating and friendly, they gave plenty of recommendations for first timers. Staff even had a conversation with me asking about how I liked this type of noodles and were generally interested in not only mine but other customers opinions on mazesoba. I was able to try the Curry Cheese Nagoya Mazesoba ($15.99), food came out really fast and the aesthetic of it is amazing. I was instructed to mix it well with all the ingredients which includes egg, spring mix, corn, onions, curry, cheese, seaweed, and rice. The dish is perfectly cooked and just has a super rich feeling when chewing. This is by far the best noodles I've ever had, if I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would put a stamp on it. Can't wait to be back soon to this amazing restaurant, seriously a max star quality restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
It was my first time at this location and there was no wait on a Friday evening which was nice! We ordered through the QR code on the table which was really efficient and the food came out shortly after. The ambiance is super chill with adequate seating and the workers were really friendly. The deluxe mazesoba is my go to because it has the chashu and egg. The noodles are so chewy and flavorful and the chashu is really tender it melts in your mouth!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Came here on a thursday evening during a bogo 50% offer for their anniversary. We were seated promptly given how many people were on the waitlist. Self order QR codes. Interior was on the smaller end but customers were in and out fast and staff was super friendly. Original Nagoya Mazesoba: their original well known dry ramen that is basically a thicker, more flavorful version of the traditional soup ramen you'd get. Really love the flavor when mixed with the poached egg but it is definitely on the heavier side so i'd say it's something you have once in a while. Also comes with a complimentary small scoop of rice upon request towards the end so no extra sauce goes to waste! Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba: a more deluxe version of the previous dish- comes with chasu, seaweed and a ramen egg. definitely the deluxe edition Located in a plaza with LA fitness, vons and other restaurants so parking is pretty plentiful and shouldn't be a problem.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was pretty good! The flavors were solid, and the food came out quickly. The only thing I'd note is that the minced meat was cooked in a lot of oil..it's part of the dish, but it did feel a bit heavy. This spot is definitely more of a quick, casual meal type of place, you order and pay through a QR code, and there was just one server managing the whole restaurant. Would come here again but maybe I'll ask them if I can make it less oily haha
google avatar

Yelp
Menya Hanabi are the originators of mazesoba, brothless ramen. The noodles are not not dry though, as you mix it all up for 30 seconds and it comes together in a beautiful sauce. I had the Chashu Nagoya Mazesoba which comes with chashu of course, spicy minced pork, green onions, chives, fish powder, seaweed, garlic and a poached egg. The portion was large but I loved the chewy noodles and the marriage of flavors and I finished the whole thing. When dining in you can request a small bowl of rice at the end to soak up the rest of the sauce. I was really blown away by how delicious this was and can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Came for lunch and had the deluxe; it was bomb. Way too heavy though, I was falling asleep on the drive back and couldn't stay awake while working. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Been swinging by this spot more often lately especially with the hotter weather, I've been seriously craving their noodles. It had been a while since my last visit, but I'm glad I came back. You order through a QR code at the table, and my go-to is the Deluxe Mazemen basically a dry Japanese noodle bowl loaded with toppings. The flavors are deep, rich, and full of umami. It can get a little heavy, but that's where the vinegar comes in just add a splash to balance it out. The chashu pork in the deluxe is tender and flavorful, and the noodles are always cooked just right. Once you finish most of your noodles, you can ask for a free scoop of rice to mix with the leftover toppings a perfect way to round out the meal. Lately, I've also been enjoying their broth (I think it's chicken and pork based) a warm, comforting finish after all that richness. Solid spot, definitely worth checking out if you're craving something savory and satisfying.

Yelp
Still one of my favorites ramen restaurant around SGV. Wait can be long during popular hours. They got a large number of orders coming in when they opened. So even though you may be the first one arrived, there is still a wait. But the noodles is definitely worth the wait. Always fresh and chewy. With all the condiment, tastes perfect each time. Could be helpful if there is another server. The girl up front is working nonstop. But she is all smiling with good manners. Just saw her spinning around nonstop in the shop
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by Yi Feng for some drinks, and as we were getting ready to head back home to Vegas, we all started to get hungry. One of my friends mentioned that Menya has amazing noodles, so we decided to check it out. Even though they were about to close, the guy at the front was incredibly friendly and still let us place a to-go order -- which we really appreciated! I got the mentai mayo takoyaki, and we also ordered two different mazesoba bowls (I forgot the exact names), but both were absolutely delicious. We added the broth on the side, and it was super flavorful and comforting -- a perfect way to end the day. Can't wait to come back on another Cali trip and dine in next time!

Yelp
Came here with a party of 7 on a Saturday and waited around 30 mins, they have a paper waitlist and will tell you the estimated waiting time! I've heard great things and was excited to try this place. Deluxe Mazesoba - 9.5/10 it was great but after a while it does get a bit hard to eat since the flavor is so strong, I may get less soy sauce as an option next time! There was a good amount of egg and meat in there and it tasted good Mentai Mazesoba - 10/10, one of my friends got this and we liked it a bit more, it was easier to eat and the flavor wasn't too strong! Monster fries - 9.5/10, fries and pork were crispy and delicious, the crispy pork was addicting to eat Karaage - 9.5/10, the pieces of chicken were a lot larger than we were used to, but it was tasty with the lemon and sauce! They also give you a scoop of rice with your sauce at the end. Overall we had a great experience, I like the mobile ordering, do keep in mind that even though it allows everyone to order individually each table is still limited to splitting the check 2 ways max. Service was great and our waitress answered any questions we had!
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite place for mazesoba. I have tried other places, and they just don't compare. We ordered 3 Original Nagoya Mazesobas (2 spicy and 1 regular). It was so delicious. I also tried the matcha latte for the first time here, and it was better than I thought it would be!
google avatar

Yelp
When this spot first opened I tried it and didn't like it, but after trying it again my tastebuds have changed. I like how savory and rich it is, the egg adds creaminess like pasta but a Japanese version. Yummy, yummy, yummy :9! Service needs a little more work, checking in on customers at least once or twice is very important! But they were still very nice when called.

Yelp
OVERALL : As much as I love soupy ramens, there is something about mazemen (soupless ramen) that is just so craveable. Menya Hanabi was my first ever mazemen when they opened in Arcadia, and I knew I had to come back when I was craving it again! They specialize in mazemen bowls made with thick noodles topped with egg yolk, green onion, chives, seaweed, garlic, and spicy season ground meat. They offer different proteins on their menu too if ground meat isn't your thing. You mix the yolk and toppings into the noodles and eat, then add vinegar and/or chili powder to change up the flavor a bit. If you dine in, you can also get a free rice bowl after to mix in with the leftover sauce after you finish your noodles! I cannot speak to the service since I ordered for delivery, but the packaging was secure and nothing spilled, even if I ordered drinks. PARKING : N/A - ordered for delivery via DoorDash FOOD/DRINKS : Iced Matcha Latte - shockingly good matcha from a shop that does not brand itself as a cafe/drink shop! Creamy, not too sweet, and not watered down. Beautiful green color + matcha forward. Def gonna get this again! Original Mazesoba - dry noodle, fish powder, spicy minced pork, green onion, chives, seaweed, garlic, egg yolk -- always hits the spot! Portions are bigggg and shareable if you get full quickly off of carbs.

Yelp
I came on a Saturday night and was able to get a table for 4 with no wait. The crowd comes in waves. There were always bar seating. You order thru QR code on your phone. The food took a bit long to come out but the quality was just as good as before. Remember to ask for rice at the end. Though they went around asking if you wanted rice.
google avatar

Yelp
Always love the deluxe Nagoya Mazesona. The noodle is flavored with minced pork and eggs. It raised the taste to a whole new level. This time I have it togo and the food still tastes good.

Yelp
I usually get the original or the cha siu. It's a big bowl of noodles with minced pork, green onions, garlic, nori and a raw egg. When you give all of it a good mix, it is the best bowl of broth less ramen. I wish all ramen places would make their noodles this way, they're big and chewy. It's a pretty healthy serving, I've yet to be able to finish an entire bowl. If you have some meat and sauce left over, they give you a small bowl of rice to mix with the leftovers. It's pretty delicious over rice as well. The service has always been excellent. You use your phone to order and the food usually comes out pretty quickly. I recommend getting there early, it can get super busy.

Yelp
Tasty soupless ramen. Noodle texture is excellent. Awesome service. Clean and casual dining area.

Yelp
Finally visited this place! Did not disappoint! When you're seated, you scan the QR code to order. Mazesoba= soup-less ramen. I forgot what my friend ordered, but it had chopped up pork in it. Mine was the mentaiko cream mazesoba. It was absolutely delicious, but wasn't as creamy as I hoped it would be. I scaled the mayo from the mentai mayo takoyaki to make it creamier. I also added vinegar and the Japanese chili powder to mine. The best part is you get an ice cream scoop sized ball of rice at the end, so you can sop up all the extra sauce in your bowl!

Yelp
We strolled into Menya on a Saturday at around 5:45 and were seated immediately! My first .5 stars off was that the restaurant was rather warm. We were going through a hot spell in the area, but it didn't feel like they had the AC on which was really odd. Service was really good, the wait staff was very nice and the food came out in a timely manner! Now, to the food: We got the chashu Nagoya mazesoba and the yuzu matcha. The chasu was shockingly good! While the pieces were small, they were packed with rich, fatty delicious flavor. The mazesoba itself was delicious! The noodles were cooked perfectly and everything came together with a wonderful umami punch of flavor. My only reason for another .5 stars off - no chili oil :/ I really want chili oil with my mazesoba so I can control the heat. While they did have some chili powder/flakes, it doesn't bring the same flavor as chili oil. They did have the vinegar, which is of course also a must have, and again, all the ingredients paired beautifully! The noodles were slick and moist in the sauce and perfect with the pork. The yuzu matcha was SO refreshing and not overly sweet at all. I loved it! Overall, we really liked this place and would definitely come again, but maybe when it's not as hot out so that the AC isn't an issue and hopefully they'll have chili oil!

Yelp
Sat at the bar for dinner and had no wait and got to watch the cooks mix up noodles! I wasn't that hungry so I got one step below the deluxe with Cha siu and broth. I like how they had to explain on the menu not to add the broth to the mazesoba.. I ordered the chicken karage to share and it was delicious fried, larger pieces than expected and cooked perfectly not dry at all. Noodles have a delightful chewy bounce and since I didn't get spicy liked that they had chill power and vinegar out on the tables so you can add to your taste. Key is to mix everything up really well and at the end they also give a small scoop of rice to eat with any left over sauce/toppings.

Yelp
///Food (5/5): We ordered Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba, Geso Nanban (fried squid leg), and Ebi Nanban (fried shrimp). The squid and shrimp were both fried to perfection. The noodles were rich in flavor, every strand was covered in sauce. The chashu was high quality and exceptionally tender. Overall, the price is fair for the high quality of the food and generous noodle portion. ///Service (3/5): The ordering process was easy, using the QR codes provided at each table. The wait for the food was long: about 20 minutes for the appetizers and an additional 20 minutes for the noodles. The waitress seemed unenthusiastic and annoyed. Overall, the servers were unattentive, but the business did look busy.

Yelp
Ordering is done through the qr code on the table. The server that was working that day was really informative and courteous. Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba: The sauce was creamy and wasn't oily at all. I definitely enjoyed it more when I added the vinegar. It added some sweetness and another depth to the flavor. Noodles were bouncy. Char siu was more on the tougher side. I ordered the spicy version and it was very tolerable/mild to me. Once you are done with the noodles you can ask for a free bowl of rice to finish up the remaining sauce and minced pork. They have lots of seating options available from bar seating, tables and booth style sofa seats. On a Monday afternoon, there was no wait time and only a few people dining in. Lots of free parking.

Yelp
This is seriously a five stars establishment. I recommend you come right as they open. Within 20 minutes after we arrived, the entire restaurant filled up and there was a huge line when we left. The food is delicious, you order through the QT code and it comes out surprisingly fast. My only complaint: on a Saturday lunch, there was only 1 server in the entire restaurant. He did everything and due to the lack of staff, I feel like service was compensated. For the volume, I think management should add more servers. Great restaurant, will definitely be back.

Yelp
First timer- I don't personally like QR code menus and paper menus should be offered (they had them up front at the to-go ordering but didn't offer and I didn't see them until after we ordered). Maybe staff should ask if this is our first time or if we have any questions and talk us thru the menu bc I found it difficult to understand and order. If you view the menu online it's also equally hard to understand. I think it's something about how the items are organized and it starts with some main items then scrolls down to appetizers and then continues with more main items. Extremely confusing. Ended up picking the cha shu non spicy mazesoba- which is basically like ramen but no soup. Instead there is a very oily type of flavorful sauce which is good but it's THICK, which is why they offer a free scoop of rice (and honestly it's a nugget) to sop up the remaining sauce in your bowl. Presentation is nice and the staff suggested I use the table vinegar to bring out the sauce flavor which sounds odd but actually tasted quite interesting and good. The chicken karaage is really good but pieces of chicken are too huge and should be cut down maybe half so they pick up better (larger than popcorn chicken size tho). Honestly tastes like ramen but since there's no soup it's less satisfying and warm on the belly. First pic is beautiful presentation and the other pic is how it looks after you've mixed everything together. Chicken is broken up into the smaller pieces that I think they should serve it in bc otherwise it looks like you only get 4 pieces. It was an interesting try but I don't think I'd go back unless I was introducing someone to it for a first time try. It's pricey for what you get and I find the sauce too rich for my tastes, maybe it's the excessive oil. Early Sept 2025 dinner 6:30pm

Yelp
Love this place, great noodles and tasty pork. Love the ramen style they are known for, brothless. Pro Tip, add the side of broth, it is so tasty! The portions are big so you can share with another person. They also give you a scoop of rice to he all that leftover flavor toward the end of your meal. This place is a must try!

Yelp
Curry cheese had a very distinct japanese curry flavor. Lots of noodles made me really full. Sauce was very creamy. Curry flavor was overpowering so if u've had a lot of japanese curry before and getting tired of it like me, I wouldnt recommend it Instead I recommend the mentaiko which is what my sis got, a flavor Im less used to still good and creamy Extra Free small bowl of rice is given after the meal to soak up leftover sauce to try. Its optional but go try it My cousins didnt like the service much, they pushed us out to wait outside when there was a lot of room inside, they made us move chairs to make room when they didnt do that for others, also they forgot one of our bowls Its order on phone but u pay afterwards and get physical receipt My cousin did not recommend the matcha tea lol Despite curry cheese being the one I ate mostly, I still enjoyed it and would rate this place a Happy 5/5

Yelp
I have been eyeing this spot for YEARS now, and finally got the opportunity to stop by for their mazesoba. To my surprise, they also have several mentaiko mayo items on the menu. My family tried a few and loved all of them! I recommend the Mentai Mayo Takoyaki especially. The Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba had everything! Poached egg, soft boiled egg, chashu, and a bunch of minced pork too! Lots of protein and equally as much noodles (which were cooked perfectly). They more you eat, the more oil and saltiness coats the noodles. Rice is recommended to soak up the sauce! So yummy and worth the price. Wasn't busy at all on a Monday evening :) Order via Toast Tab QR code and staff comes by to assist with rice refills, etc.

Yelp
I've been here twice, before dinner opening and during dinner. When we came before opening, there was already a small line, but we were able to find seating at opening. When we came during dinner on a weekday, we put our name down and had to wait around 20 minutes before being seated. Staff is generally nice and helpful, checking in on us when we're ordering and making sure we're attended to. Ordering is on a QR code attached to your table and you also pay then. I like to get the chashu nagoya mazesoba! I think that the overall dish can be heavy, especially at the end of the bowl with the sauce being mainly oil, but adding vinegar helps cut it down and adds a nice flavor. This is definitely my favorite mazesoba spot, I find the flavors enjoyable and worth it for its price-point. Although it is a heavy meal, it is a nice treat! Big parking lot, plenty of parking.

Yelp
I got the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba it was very delicious! The flavors were umami and savory. I loved all the components of the dish from the two different types of eggs to the chewy and thick noodles. The saucy ground pork and the poached egg helped to mix everything together and provide flavorful bites. I also liked to add some chili and vinegar on the side to add more heat and cut the richness. When you're about to finish your noodles, the staff will give you and additional portion of rice to mix in and absorb all of the saucy goodness. Ugh, so good! I also got a side of broth which paired well with the main noodle dish. The broth was warm and flavorful. Overall, a great experience here! I got to the restaurant as soon as it opened at 5:30pm on a Friday and it was already starting to fill up, so I'd recommend planning ahead. There's also ample parking. The service was great as well and my server explained everything clearly and was attentive.

Yelp
Simple decoration with a wall dedicated to explain their story, good service by cute servers and delicious food! Orders are made through the QR code, same system as found everywhere in Japan. Portions are generous so if you're very hungry this is a good place for you. Free small rice ball can be requested at the end of your order to finish cleaning up your bowl, I just could not eat anymore, I was so full! The fried chicken was juicy yet crunchy and very flavorful, just as good or better than some places that I ate in Japan the week prior. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Yelp check-in = One free topping, we each got corn. Quality/Quantity - The Original Nagoya Mazesoba - Our usual order. Usually my favorite, but I actually enjoyed the other two dishes more!! Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba - I am not a cream sauce guy, but this dish was a home run. I especially liked the caviar, fish eggs, for that additional texture. My favorite of the dishes. Tan Tan Mazesoba - A Japanese version of Tan Tan noodles. This dish was fairly spicy, but in a good way. My second favorite dish. Actually, we ended up combining this with the original to make this dish more mild and to give the original more flavor. Win/Win. Then we added the second course of rice to the sauce and brought it home for a second meal. Atmosphere - Small location, counter or table seating. Got lucky and got the last 3 counter seats here. As you can tell from my picture when we left, there was a long waiting list. Open kitchen. One unisex restroom. Open 6 days a week from 11:30am to 8:30pm; closed Tuesdays. Website's hours differs slightly. Limited mall parking, be safe. See pictures. Then we walked to Daiso and discovered a huge empty parking lot. We will park here in the future. Service - QR code ordering, but due to Yelp's check-in for a free topping, there was also some manual help/service. Overall service was good, from the waitress to the guys helping us in the kitchen across from our counter seating. Oh be careful, due to the open kitchen, there can be splashes. Price - $50 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your company's success since 2008. And in 2019 with your two USA locations. Curious, how many locations do you have in Japan?

Yelp
Every time we pass by this place, there's usually a line. Came on Wednesday late afternoon and there was no line so we decided to give it a try. When we got there and sat down for a few mins not knowing how to order. Then the waiter looked over and said the menus under the table. I'm like huh? Under the table? She looked at me as if I was stupid or something lmfao. How am I suppose to know there's a QR scan menu attached under the table??? Anyways, we ordered the original and the deluxe. The only difference was the deluxe came w chashu and a cold hard boiled egg. The chashu was dry and tough to chew. Overall it's very flavorful when mixed altogether. However, there's a lot of oil drenched in this which you'll see when you get to the bottom of the bowl. With all that garlic in there, my breath smelled horrendous after. I should've requested for less garlic. Would I have waited on a line to eat this? Prob not.

Yelp
I ordered the basic Ramen and chicken got here. My friend ordered the same as spicy at the moment. We really enjoyed the spicy edamame. The chicken cut was a little overcooked, but it had good flavoring and a good amount of batter on it. Enjoyed my Ramen. Not too salty, which is how I prefer it. I also ordered their housemaid Matcha latte and that was delicious. I did ask for extra sweetener though because it wasn't sweet enough for me. Service was great. You scan a QR code and order on your own so the server just brought our food out.
