Menya Musashi Ramen

Visited this little gem in LA as we were in the area. There are a lot of eateries around this area and it's so hard to choose one. We opted for Menya Musashi LA after seeing that the other eateries were crowded and had a wait. Menya Musashi LA has outside and inside seating. The inside is very tight. Only two booths and the bar (fits approx. 7 people). As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the entire staff. The menu is very basic. They only offer two dishes and each dish has different versions (combination, meat only, pork cutlet only, vegetarian, etc). We chose the combination ramen (it had few pieces of fatty pork, pork cutlet, seasoned egg in a rich broth). It was SOOOO GOOD!!!! Don't let the size of the bowl fool you. The bowl might be on the small side, but it's soooo filling. You really do need a walk after eating. Parking: It doesn't seem that they have their own lot. We parked on the street. Since it was Sunday, we didn't need to pay the meter. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be back at Menya Musashi LA to satisfy my ramen craving.

JAPAN 🇯🇵 Eat the World LA review: It is more fun to come here knowing the full meaning of the name, for it has everything to do with how the menu is presented and should be approached. "Niten ichiryu" refers to a classical style of swordsmanship in Japan involving a long sword in one hand and a short one in the other, used in conjunction. This style was first used by sword master Musashi Miyamota and was respected deep enough by the founder of the restaurant to become its name. When this method of swordsmanship was translated into cooking and a menu, it was in the form of two parts, ramen or tsukemen was combined with tonkotsu and large pieces of kakuni to create the meal desired. After opening 14 restaurants in Japan, the brand has expanded across Asia before coming to the United States first at this Westside location and eventually to Seattle. The tonkotsu broth here is made from fish as well as the normal pork bones, which gives it a slightly more full and rounded taste which plays just a touch less fatty than usual. If you are feeling up to it, for $18 you can get their premier bowl of ramen that in addition to two pieces of kakuni also includes the soft boiled egg and a fried pork cutlet.

Oh finally, a bowl that is doing its own thing in our very city! Basically every ramenya in the LA area sticks to the same formula (i.e., tonkotsu slow cooked broth or shoyu, thin noodle, chashu, scallions and a some sort of green, and egg of course) but guess what, Menya Musashi is doing their own thing and it’s straight from Japan. I haven’t been stoked on a bowl for a while but this one got me pumped. They claim a Niten Ichiryu “Two Sword” style with super good flat noodles topped with 2 large pieces of very high end braised pork belly (kakuni), 2 pieces of tonkatsu (don’t mistake “tonkatsu” with the broth, “tonkotsu”, rookie mistake) to create a feast in a bowl and 2 kinds of broth together in one, pork bone/seafood. A light fresh berry vinegar and high end spice comes alongside the bowl. Even the menma (bamboo) was fresh! Oh man, add the vinegar and some spice, and you have a top quality bowl! It’s on the pricy side but it’s totally worth it. Does it get the elusive 5 BOWL RATING!!?? Delicious Ramen. The portions are very reasonable. Their steamed gyoza was amazing. And this place has some unique sauces at the table. Parking is located in the back, with validation it’s 2.50

Menya Ramen was a rebranded ramen shop in the same location by the same owner. This place services fat noodle by default, you can ask for thin noodle. Clean with outdoor seating area. When we meet around 8:30PM on a Thursday, there wasn’t many patrons, so no wait. I ordered just the ramen, the pork belly was a big chunk, decently tasty, bamboo was a little cold, my slight disappointment was with the broth, it was thick but too salty, it was hard to taste the pork broth from the soup. The plus from the restaurant was it’s service, cleanness, and condiment. Fruit vinegar was tasty (some might not like vinegar), the bacon shreds was crunchy and spicy, very good. The spoon and bowl was very nicely designed. Taste: 2.5 stars Service: 4.5 stars Cleanliness: 4 stars Price: 3 stars (their signature ramen was $18 dollars, on the expensive side for ramen) Overall, 3 stars in Little Osaka with many ramen shops, very competitive market.

I've been to all the ramen places on Sawtelle except for this one, so my friend and ai stopped by the other day to try. It was pleasantly surprising to try something a bit different than Tsujita/Tatsu for a change. They offer a monthly special that usually invovles a combo dish at a discounted price. This time around was a black garlic/red spicy ramen (pictured) for just $9.99. the ramen was good - a little more black garlic than red spicy - but it had a less thick, non-fish based broth (compare to Tsujita) and also came with bean sprouts in addition to the normal seaweed, chasu, etc. We also got an order of chicken karate, which was pretty good, nothing special. It wasn't very crowded (maybe 2pmv/ on a weekday?) And the store itself is a little small - also because they were closing the outside patio in the middle of the day (no idea why) so would suggest calling ahead if they accept reservations.

Absolutely delicious. This hybrid ramen (black garlic/mushroom/red spicy miso) was incredible. For extra flavor make sure you add an egg :)

japanese curry is my favorite thing to eat in the world, and I give Menya Tigre a 10/10. it is a notch better than any other curry restaurant that I have been to outside of Japan. go there. you won't be disappointed with the curry.

Introduced Sawtelle Blvd. to my partner for the first time who just moved from the East Coast, and this was my first spot to show him. It's next to Hermanito, another one of my favorite spots, and we immediately got seated inside by the welcoming hosts. Within seconds our waiter greeted us and asked to get us something to drink. We landed on the Curry Ramen as an entree and Shishito Peppers as an appetizer. Both were so rich in flavor and honestly took us by surprise of the curry + ramen combo. To add to the experience, they were playing really good music like funk, reggae, dancehall and dub. It was such a vibe! We will def be back for that curry ramen And if you get a chance, visit Hermanito for some quality drinks!

Sawtelle has SO many great food options and Menya TIGRE is definitely one of them. It's a pretty small shop with limited indoor/outdoor seating, but we were able to be seated immediately on a weeknight around 8 pm. The staff are super kind and I honestly love that their menu really only has a few options. I got the curry ramen which was incredibly savory and filling. The curry sauce had a beautiful umami taste with the chicken broth, though it was a bit salty. The pork chashu was a decent size for one serving. I ended up taking a lot of the actual ramen noodles home as leftovers. Flavorful food, reasonable portions, great service!

3.5 stars I believe this restaurant is the sister restaurant to Anzu, a karaage shop located right around the corner. Admittedly, I've never tried Anzu and, instead, came to Menya Tigre for curry rice. This time, I ordered the Shrimp Katsu Curry Rice ($17.50) & I enjoyed it. The food was piping hot and the white rice was very well-made. The shrimp's exterior was so crispy on the outside that I think I scraped the roof of my mouth with it. But, don't worry, the shrimp within was perfectly juicy. The curry was the kind of spicy that builds over time, but remains appetizingly mild/medium-spicy. Overall, a decent & satisfying meal. Service was quick & there's free 2-hr parking in the back for customers. The next time I need to schlep out to the office, I'll stop by to try their tsukemen curry.

Walked in with a friend on a whim since I was craving some katsu curry and didn't want coco ichibanya (tried to change it up since I usually go there for katsu curry). I was pleasantly surprised! It was very tasty and filling- I had to take half the katsu home. Service was super efficient and friendly! I'd def stop by again soon.

It's not bad but is there better? Their specialty is curry so be prepared. There's a little bit of variety but it is almost extensively curry. For example you can order either curry rice or curry ramen. There isn't a plain option. The rice curry is limited to fried...chicken, pork or shrimp. There's no beef, stewed or vegetarian option, no egg, mushroom or spinach add-ons either. Then there's the noodles - it's either curry ramen or curry tsukemen (at least the curry is in a dipping bowl). The chicken karaage can be an appetizer by itself (thankfully without curry) but it too can be served as chicken karaage curry ramen or over curry rice. Everything was okay but nothing really stood out. I definitely want to point out that the portions are large. My pork cutlet was enough for two people to split. It was on the less tasty side and the curry lacked any real flavor. The chicken karaage appetizer, however, was tasty and a good size with many delicious pieces. It was probably the best thing here. On Sawtelle, there are definitely better places for ramen and better places for curry. It's hard to do both well. The wait must have been long elsewhere and so you ended up here. If your group wants a little bit of both and really likes curry, well, this might be a good spot to try.

Great dinner experience! Quick, friendly service, clean environment and no music playing so it wasn't too loud. They have very limited seating so most people sit outside. In terms of food the Beef Bowl was delicious, especially adding the flaky garlic on top. The fatty beef over rice was amazing!! The curry over ramen was alright but ramen noodles were good texture. Chasu bowl $8 was great ramen $21 meh . Would come again for the bowls!

We ordered take out for our holiday staff meeting from this place. I was a bit hesitant as there wasn't a large variety of menu items, mostly curry based which I didn't realize when we chose this. Surprisingly the curry was excellent! They don't customize curry spiciness like CoCo Ichibanya but I enjoy curry without much spice to taste the flavor. I ordered the pork cutlet curry (includes a salad). It was a decent size and really like how flavorful the curry was! They were very accommodating and had our order ready on time. I had to minus a star for the website menu prices. This is not up to date and would be helpful. Lucky for yelp, others take pictures of the prices. =)

i ordered a pork katsu which had a perfect crunch and huge portion!! they give you a salad with it so it was a nice appetizer before the katsu came out. they were responsive on the phone when i asked wait time and were accommodating when we had a big party of 8. this could probably last me two meals. my only concern is i could see the wait time being long during dinner since seating is limited

What We Ordered: -Chashu Curry Ramen $19.80 I'm still on a mission to find the best ramen spot in LA. Everyone has a favorite spot. As I mentioned previously, the best ramen I've had to date is outside of Little Tokyo and Sawtelle. People are always telling me this place or that place is the best. I have to go see for myself. I really enjoyed my experience at Menya Tigre. We didn't arrive on empty stomachs as we eat elsewhere beforehand. I was still hungry being a big boy and all. I decided to see what this hype was all about. The service was very friendly and attentive. If you check-in you can receive fried onions or fried garlic. I asked for recommendations as I always do and settled on the Chashu Curry Ramen. It was a very good ramen in my personal opinion. It was one of the best ramen places to eat at in Sawtelle. Let me say that if you don't like curry than this place is probably not for you. This place is more geared towards curry. However, they do have no curry options available such as Tsukemen and other ramen variations. The Chashu Curry Ramen was very good. I absolutely loved the curry take on ramen. The curry broth was so delicious. I almost drank all the broth and probably would have if I wasn't so full. I highly recommend that people come here to try some delicious curry ramen. Excellent place! Really good Curry Tsukemen, I was surprised by the flavors and men texture. I will definitely will come again and an again. Located in Sawtelle Blvd.

Decided to try it out since we were in a curry mood, and the keema noodle mazemen blew my mind - super flavorful, umami and noodle texture was thick but not overly thick! The egg was perfectly poached and the vinegar sauce on the side was a great addition to this already flavorful bowl. I was full and satisfied. Tried the curry ramen also rly good/flavorful and filling. |[ e x p e r i e n c e ]| Ambiance is not bad with more seating than a lot of ramen spots, we sat on the patio and service was still attentive and efficient despite it nearing closing time. Also appreciated the small styrofoam bowl of water they gave my pups, happy pups = happy pawrents! Parking is sawtelle so varying difficulty depending on day/time but generally busy street. Came back and dined in with a party of 5 close to noon and we were seated right away. The service was phenomenal. They were attentive and brought our order out in less than 10 minutes! No leftovers remained...yeah it was that good. We also appreciate that the outside patio is dog friendly. Thank you Menya Tigre.

I've tried a lot of spots on Sawtelle but this was my first time at Menya Tigre and I was surprised by the quality of food. They specialize in curry based noodle dishes and though I am not too big of a fan of curry flavor I loved the noodles we tried here! The restaurant was lively for a Monday evening, but there is indoor and outdoor seating so we only had to wait five minutes to be seated. - I had the Keema Bowl with egg (4/5) which was a mazemen with pico de gallo and curried pork. It was super vibrant and refreshing in flavor from the lime and cilantro in the pico - I was skeptical of the flavor combo but it ended up being delicious! They also offer rice to eat the rest of the sauce after you finish the noodles but I was so full I had to turn it down! - My brother had the Chasu Curry Tsukemen (5/5) and that was delicious! The curry flavor was subtle enough to not be overwhelming as you eat the bowl and the broth was light but rich in flavor Overall great food at Menya Tigre! The service was also great the waiters were very friendly and attentive. Street parking only but it is worth the time since you'll be in an area with delicious food.

I really enjoyed my chashu curry ramen. The meat was alright, but I honestly think the soft boiled egg was life changing. It was so good. The curry soup base and noodles were also good. Service was attentive and the food came out quickly. The restaurant wasn't super busy on a Thursday night around 7, and there was no wait to get a table. There are some tables inside and an outdoor courtyard on Sawtelle Boulevard. Overall, it's definitely going in my go-tos rotation for the Sawtelle area.

Stopped by for lunch and it was SO GOOD! Was seated right away at the bar on a weekday a little after lunchtime and place wasn't too busy. Server was very attentive and friendly. Inside was clean and menu offered a very wide variety of dishes. Decent prices for great food! I went with the curry mazemen/keema noodle with an egg and I got it with the pico de gallo on the side. I honestly didn't think it would go well with the dish. I'm glad I got it on the side because it was good with some bites but I do think it would've overpowered/taken away from the curry flavor had it been mixed with the whole dish. It added a good but different flavor that I had never experienced in a curry dish before. The curry flavor was perfect and the noodles were thick and chewy! I was expecting the egg to be more runny like the eggs at another mazemen place I've been to called mogu mogu but I was like an egg you'd get in ramen where the egg white is solid still. Anyways, this was a very solid dish overall. 5/5 Also, I had already eaten mazemen before and knew how to eat it but I do think that it would be helpful for the server to ask the customer if they'd had the dish before so that they could explain how to enjoy it or for you to ask how to enjoy it if you'd never had it before because there is a certain way to eat it so that you can get the full experience of the unique dish! Overall, I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back when I'm in the area again! Because I enjoyed the mazemen so much, I think I'd get it again before trying anything new. It was that good!

Menya Tigre Curry Mazemen (soupless noodle) Home made dry keema curry pork Curry Tsukemen : CHASU TSUKEMEN Iced green tea I felt like this spot is perfect for the Japanese style curry lover :) I actually enjoyed the SOUPLESS curry noodle with pico de gallo more than the dipping ramen ! Usually, I love ramen but feel slightly guilty afterwards because there's never enough veggies at most ramen restaurants so this really made the Curry Mazemen their signature dish stand out for me :) and I felt AMAZING after and satisfied. The service is super kind here too! I asked what the Pink lemonade is like, and the server gave me a taste test! I Chose Iced Green Tea in the end because I wanted to balance out the heat of the curry I felt like this place has great portion size for price too. I've been getting ads for Menya TIGRE and, having tried so many of the other ramen/noodle places on Sawtelle, I decided to mix it up and finally try this place. I went on a weekday just past noon, and it wasn't too crowded yet-- by the time I left close to 1pm, it was starting to get busy. The waitress recommended I try the Dry Keema, which is sort of like a curry mazemen with pico de gallo. I found the combination of curry noodles and pico de gallo interesting, and I'm not sure if they really go hand-in-hand together. Nonetheless, it was innovative! As for the curry, I found it on the bland side-- the spicy garlic topping helped to add some flavor to it. Overall, an okay spot that specializes in Japanese curry. I hope to return and give the other dishes a try!

Last working night in LA, waiting for traffic to die down before we headed back to OC. Menya TIGRE came highly recommended by one of my coworker's friend. Meter street parking or a parking garage nearby. The 4 of us came around 6:30pm and we were lucky to get the last indoor table for 4 people. It was a cold night so it was much more comfortable to be inside. Service was a bit on the slow side coming to get our order and coming to give us the check. They weren't even that busy when we were there. They are known for their curry ramen dishes so that's what we decided to try. My coworkers ordered 2 Chashu Curry Ramen ($19.80/each) and a Chicken Ultimate Tsukemen ($19.80). I also had a Chashu Curry Ramen ($19.80) but with no bean sprouts and added Corn ($2). When the bowl arrived, there was a generous amount of chashu. It was super fatty and decadent. The soft boiled salted egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. The corn was a much needed additional for some freshness with my dish. The noodles were well cooked with a nice bite to it. The curry broth was thickkkkkk and potent. My coworker who got the tsukemen was very wise. I liked when the curry broth coated the food but it was definitely too thick and potent to drink like I would most broths. It was nice trying something new and our team left very full and satisfied. It was just a bit heavy for my liking but it was still nice to try if you haven't had curry ramen before.

Overall: yum yum yum, great portions for the price Food: 5/5 Deep curry flavors. Noodles were perfectly al dente. Chicken was extra juicy! Rice was a tiny bit undercooked though. Service: 5/5 Fast and friendly! Ambiance: 5/5 Love their outdoor seating. Sheltered from wind and sun!

We came for lunch, and everything was very good. Good service and we appreciate the outdoor seating. The curry quality was pretty good, and the tonkatsu pork was excellent. The chicken ramen broth was also very refined and tasty. If there were negatives or disappointments, it was with the temperature of the curry and the noodles... Definitely not hot enough in definitely not hot enough. Also, if you're a spice lover, the spice heat on the curry is non-existent... But it's flavorable. Slightly on the pricier side, but the atmosphere and service justifies it.

Not much seating so sat outside, was a lil rainy that day. Got Chicken Karaage Bowl -- it was a little small for the price, esp with the chicken amount, but tasty and the mayo was creamy and good! Pork Katsu curry also tasty and HUGE!

I really love their curry Tsukemen!! Never tried this before and now I'm always coming back for more. The noodles are thick and chewy, which pairs so perfectly well with the curry dipping broth. The pork chashu is so flavorful and the egg compliments the ramen so well. This is truly my favorite Tsukemen of all time, and I'd highly recommend for you to try it out if you're trying to find a place to eat in Sawtelle. There is usually never a wait when I go for dinner on weekdays and weekends. It's my go-to spot to grab a quick bowl of delicious dipping ramen. Their pork cutlet curry rice is my second favorite thing on their menu.

Go once: Yes! Go again: Yep! We had the mazemen here, and it tasted great. The noodles were perfect. The sauce was excellent and I'd happily eat here anytime. I love adding the vinegar halfway through and rice after having the noodles as recommended. If you're looking for something different and like curry, the mazemen at Menya TIGRE is definitely worth a shot!

Food comes out fast, fresh, and flavorful. This curry spot is a comfort food mainstay in Sawtelle. The menu is selective in its offering focusing on their signature curry-based dishes. Their Karaage is very good: hot, crispy and juicy and I also enjoyed the Fried Shrimp option they had (in their Surf & Turf Curry Plate). My ultimate favorite though? Has to be their Curry Ramen. It's not too heavy, and just the right amount of homey-ness. We also had the Tsukumen Dipping Noodles, which my partner enjoyed and the Keema Curry.

Another place that's been on the list for a while. I heard it was unique because of the toppings. I was leaning towards the curry ramen but decided to get the mazemen instead. It's a dry noodle with enough curry sauce at the bottom with unique toppings like a pico de gallo looking thing and corn. I added an egg for $1 which always a solid choice. The noodles were more like udon noodles than ramen noodles which I love cuz it feels so much smoother and more bite. They recommend you add vinegar as that's how it's meant to be eaten but I'm not a big sour fan so I decided to just added a little bit. I don't think it would've made it better for my taste but the overall fish felt it was lacking that punch of flavor. It got pretty busy while we were eating so I can see the appeal but maybe if you order the right thing, like the regular curry ramen. Maybe next time. Would be willing to go back.

If you're only going to try one thing from here, get the karaage chicken. The hype is real!! I was blown away when I bit into the chicken with its crispy texture and juicy flavor exploding into my mouth with every bite. What I liked: - Outdoor covered patio seating - Quick service - The karaage chicken is so good! No dry chicken in sight. - The pork cutlet is also good. The meat was tender and the outside was perfectly crispy. - Generous portions and reasonable prices! Tip: if you check in on Yelp, they bring you a little side of crispy garlic or onions to garnish your dish. It added some nice texture to the curry. There is metered street parking if you can find it along Sawtelle. I opted to park around the block in the residential area and walk over.

Actually a 2/5. I had really high expectations but the service was decent and quick which raised my rating. I don't see how this place can compete with the others nearby...

Tried their Keema Noodle (the vegan option!) and it was actually quite great! It is an interesting combination of pico de gallo, green onion, chilli peppers and chewy noodles! Ordered it with extra menma which they served on the side. The pico de gallo adds a new twist to the dish, although it had a little too much onion in it. Very little broth (nearly negligible) but the keema (the server said it was some form of beans) was very flavorful. Service was quick and easy. Fast moving place (the place is very popular!) but there was no wait (to be fair we went on a weekday evening). My friend ordered the Curry Ramen and said that was pretty good too. Outdoor seating was nice and comfortable.

After I discovered Menya Tigre I stopped going to Tsujita. Every single curry noodle & curry rice dish here is spectacular and a great choice so long as you like flavorful Japanese curry!

Gave this place a try after seeing so many social media post online about this place. Upon walking in, I noticed that the place had a nice vibe to it. Low lighting on the inside with warm lighting that would make it perfect for a nights dine out. I ordered the tsukemen and my friend ordered the curry katsu. The tsukemen was above average but not the very best. In comparison to tsujita, I felt that the concentrated broth of the tsukmen was lacking a bit of flavor. There were also not that many condiments on the side to add to your tsukemen. However, the curry katsu was definitely delicious though. The katsu was very tender and moist and flavorful. The curry complemented the katsu well and I definitely enjoyed it. Service was ok but an overall good experience.

Despite friendly service, the food lacked flavor--the curry was tasteless and the salad dressing overly dominated by sesame oil, far from refreshing. The restroom's poor hygiene, seemingly untouched for months, was off-putting and ruined our appetite.

Menya TIGRE is usually pretty packed, and for good reason! The food is amazing, and some of the best curry I've had. They serve the plate with a good mix of rice with the katsu, and salad as well. Inside, there's a bar area where you can choose to sit if you'd like to get seated faster, and it is nice and cozy. I go almost every time that I'm in LA!

We came on a weekend for lunch and it wasn't Tom busy. They have a nice outdoor seating area. I got the curry katsu and my friend got the karaage tsukemen. Overall it wasn't bad but meh. I've definitely had better and more flavorful curry before. There are tons of options in the Sawtelle area.

The noodles here are really chewy and have a great bite to them. I had the curry mazemen and their karaage. I would recommend adding an egg for the added richness, but their curry sauce is great as is. The karaage were huge and the coating wasnt too thick. I think it mightve been overcooked a tad though. Great place for noodles if the line at tsujita is too long;;

My second time here and not my last. I absolutely love love the curry here, it's so rich and flavorful and gives such a nostalgic flavor along with some delicious ramen noodles. Definitely one of my sawtelle top picks!

The curry noodles are cooked to perfection - firm yet tender, with just the right amount of chewiness. The curry broth is very flavorful! Had a lot of leftover soup that could be used if I had ordered rice on the side. The slices of tender pork to crisp vegetables in the rice curry dish added a delightful crunch.

Really delicious curry, and I especially liked the katsu pork. Large portions, so totally worth it!

Great little gem on Sawtelle. The karaage + chashu bowls were phenomenal. The chicken was juicy and tender and not breaded too heavily. Really wonderful combination of sauces with the right amount of rice. The chashu was PERFECT. Exactly what I crave. Diced up pork with some garnishes over rice - comfort at its most basic and finest. Service was great. Very kind and attentive. I felt so bad we sat down maybe like 30 minutes before last call (w/o realizing). But the server was still super polite and professional. The place is a bit small with a few tables inside and outside. I would imagine that during the dinner rush there might be a wait. I saw some groups but also a couple people eating solo and I love that vibe. Wish we got the noodles - next time!

Was looking for somewhere to eat with friends and found this restaurant. My friends and I all got the curry tsukemen and it was delicious. The broth wasn't too thick and the spicy fried garlic on the side added the perfect spice and flavour to the broth. The pork cutlet, karaage, and chashu paired great with the broth and noodles. Very filling and was great for my empty stomach.

Service is consistently good here I love the curry plate. If you aren't looking for curry plates there are also noodles which I've enjoyed before as well. Price is fair and I frequently come here. The food comes out relatively quickly too so there's not too much of a wait even if other people are there. Restaurant is clean and modern.

Quick Review: This place is great. Both the Tsukemen and Ramen have delicious curry flavor, so much so that even without trying the curry here, I would expect greatness. The char-siu is flavorful, but not the best I had, the noodles are fine, and the ramen egg perfectly cooked, but as expected the real star is the curry broth. It literally tastes like curry in soup form. The food came out quickly and the waiters were nice enough. I do like their mascot/logo. Very ferocious.

FOOD WAS SO GOOD. The curry is so flavorful and the pork cutlet was so crispy and juicy as well. I would definitely come back again! :3

A decent curry ramen spot if you are craving something a little different compared to the vast options on Sawtelle. This is a small restaurant that rarely has a wait compared to others! The curry flavor is not bad. It wasn't as thick as I had hoped, and it wasn't very salty either. I think I just wish that the broth clung onto the noodles more. The chashu was definitely the highlight! Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come... but if your favorite ramen spots are busy, this is not a bad curry option!

We were seated immediately on a Sunday night around 7pm, people began to come in after. Very lucky to beat the dinner rush! There is both inside and outside seating. The restaurant could probably fit under 50 people total, so make sure to come when they aren't too busy unless you want to wait in line. I decided to order the pork katsu curry, and got it within 10 minutes of ordering. I wish there was more curry to rice, the ratio was off. The katsu was a little greasy, and I wish there was more pickled veggie to help cut the fried taste. Rice was a little mushy as well. Overall not a bad katsu curry, but there were a couple things to improve on. I will come back again and try the ramen if I am in the area!

I came here a long time ago when the restaurant was still pretty new. this place offers curry dishes - ramen, rice, etc. we got the curry ramen and Keema noodle. both were decent, however I'm not a big curry fan, so the dishes were a little too heavy and rich for me. It's pretty comparable to other ramen restaurants in sawtelle but this place specializes in curry so if you're a fan of that I would recommend!

Too bad I don't live in Cali and near this place. It is very good. We shared the Karage Chicken, Curry Pork Katsu, & Curry Ramen Noodles. I can't complain about the food, the food came out hot and delicious. Karage Chicken - light batter and fried to perfection. The dipping sauce complaints the fried chicken. Curry Pork Katsu with rice - the curry sauce was spot on, pork katsu was tender and crispy, all mixed with the rice and lalalalalala magic. Curry Ramen Noodles - I was not sure about, but I watched my niece's face fall in food coma. I want some, it was very good and flavorful. If service was a little more attentive and give us refills, then this would have been a 5 stars review.

Came by yesterday and had their pork cutlet curry tsukemen wow so good! My kid loved it

I'm not a curry person, I don't really like curry at all really, but I always crave Menya Tigre because they do curry so well! I've been here multiple times over the last few years and Menya Tigre is still going strong. My go-to order is the Curry Tsukemen with Chashu, which is so flavorful and rich. The noodles are al dente, bouncy, and satisfying to eat. Last night, however, I tried their curry mazemen (Keema Noodle), which was equally delicious (I ordered it without pico de gallo and light onion though). It had fine/minced beef that blended nicely with the noodles and veggies if mixed well. My husband ordered their Curry with karaage chicken, which was juicy, crunchy, tasty, and melts in your mouth. The quality of their entrees are always A+. I have not tried their appetizers yet, but at some point I will when I bring enough friends to share it with! The restaurant is a little small, but the vibes are always nice. There is both indoor and outdoor seating (covered with a heating lamp). I love sitting on the patio because it's great for people-watching and checking out the cars cruising by. This Menya Tigre is located in Sawtelle that's so lively and surrounded by other great eats. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night, good luck. The line can get pretty long. This doesn't seem to be an issue because there are other dessert shops surrounding Menya; you can grab a drink or a pastry or just window shop while you wait. Sometimes, like Friday night, the B Sweet across the street had live music, which was entertaining for everybody while we ate, waited, or hung out. The servers are always nice, prompt, and professional. They take care of you and are on the money.
