Went here for date night and it was AMAZING! Food was top tier (make sure to get the house hot sauce, it’s to die for). Our server was great, the vibes were immaculate and we will definitely be back!!

Visiting from LA, the food was delicious 😋 great services everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere was great the music 🎶 playing was nice to hear. I had shrimp 🦐 tacos 🌮 very yummy 😋 will definitely go again. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The rooftop restaurant and bar, Ramone’s Oyster Bar and Citrus Club is great. Has a great vibe for a date night or hanging with friends in a casual dining atmosphere. The one grip would be that there isn’t a real social presence/address/menu easily available - and seems to be lumped together with its downstairs restaurant Mercado by Butchertown. Though they share a kitchen and some common menu items, a little separation would drive more business for sure!

Grabbed food here with a bestie and got to introduce her to churros! Good service, cute atmosphere, and definitely would visit again!

The food is great! The brisket cowboy breakfast is a favorite. The bottomless mimosas or margaritas are recommended. They have a nice interior but you can also enjoy the rooftop with a flawless view of the city!

Our son and his wife suggested we come here for dinner as we were visiting them in Nashville on a Saturday evening. They made a reservation and we were welcomed as we walked in, and then shown to our table. The atmosphere at Mercado is lively with a youthful vibe. We ordered our drinks and they were all delicious. I had the house margarita and it was very tasty. We then ordered our food - oh boy! we decided to order a variety of things off the menu and share. So we ordered the Grande Taco Board (for 2) with brisket, pork, barbacoa and chile chicken. All were excellent! We also had the Ceviche Mixto, Baja Fish "crunch" style (fish is fried with a light breading), the Barbacoa Birria Dumplings -- all of which was fresh and extremely tasty! Our server was excellent and he gave us great descriptions of all the things we asked about and made some wonderful recommendations. I can highly recommend this restaurant for a tasty dining experience in a very lively atmosphere. Thank you J&E!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Mercado by Butchertown, and I can't recommend it enough! This upscale Mexican restaurant combines creativity with a warm atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for both a casual night out and a special occasion. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant crowd and inviting ambiance set the stage for a delightful evening. Our waitress, Avery, truly elevated our experience by helping with recommendations, and even bringing out two excellent wines for us to taste, ensuring we found the perfect match for our meal. The wine list may be small, but it's thoughtfully curated, showcasing quality selections that complement the menu beautifully. One of the standout features of Mercado is the rooftop bar. You would not necessarily know that they have one, just upon walking into the restaurant. You go to the back and take an elevator to the top floor. With stunning views of the city, it's the ideal spot to unwind with one of their cocktails. The lounge furniture adds to the relaxed vibe, making it a great place to enjoy drinks with friends. While it can get crowded on popular nights with a younger crowd, I can see it also being a lovely escape for anyone looking to soak in the scenery on a less busy day. Overall, Mercado by Butchertown offers an impressive dining experience with fantastic food, creative cocktails, and a beautiful rooftop space. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's a must-visit gem in the city!

First time at Mercado, it was really cute. The doors were opened and there's lots of seating outside. It reminded me of a resort in Mexico. We got there for an early dinner, I'm not sure if they were short staffed, but it seemed like there was only one person working. So when more people came in, service was a bit slow. Started off with cocktails, the mango margarita was alright. Queso was good, but I wish it came out warmer. And because the doors were all opened and it was windy out, the queso got cold quick. My friend got a burger and fries. It was ok. I love fish tacos so I had to get it and it was very crispy, which was great! We just didn't like the taste of it, I'm not sure if it was the seasoning or sauce and they only have corn tortillas. I ended up just eating the fish. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be my go to spot for Mexican food.

Found this delicious spot when searching for tacos on a whim! We tried the Barbacoa tacos and the salsa trio, and we will definitely be back to try more. The service was great, the vibe was fun and eclectic, and the menu was fantastic.

The rooftop bar is the perfect happy hour! You can't go wrong with $8 margs and $1 oysters, and the service is great. Everything came out super quick, and the view is beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!

It was a perfect night to eat and grab some drinks outside, and I think Mercado is a great place to do that! We decided to have some drinks and apps on the rooftop. The view is absolutely amazing! You get to see the whole Nashville skyline. We luckily got one of the last tables of four so we were able to sit right away. It was very busy there, so it take the waiter a bit longer to get to us, but that was ok! I ordered an Aperol Spritz which is the perfect summer rooftop drink in my opinion! We also decided to share the broiled oysters and the queso. The broiled oysters were fantastic, especially when you sprinkle the lime on top. I knew I'd love the queso since the queso at their sister restaurant (Butchertown Hall) is to die for! We did want to order the ceviche, but the waiter told us the runner had left, so there was only one runner working the whole restaurant and it would take "a hot minute" before we would get that, so we decided to skip that. I will say the parking situation can be pretty touch around there. It did take us a few minutes to find street parking, but we eventually did!

Came here on a Friday at 6pm with reservations. We ordered some tacos and queso which were both great. The queso was easily large enough for 4 people. Tacos were good albeit not mind blowing for the price. The atmosphere and vibe of the spot really started popping off around 7-8pm. Their rooftop bar has one of the best views of the Nashville skyline I know of. We cant wait to come back and grab drinks with friends here.

A rooftop bar with reasonable prices? I'm sold! This was my first time trying oysters so I can't speak to how they compare to others, but they certainly were delicious and looked exquisite. Chips and queso were fresh and flavorful! Would definitely recommend for a beautiful view, great service, and delicious food and drinks.

Went back to Mercado for the 4th time on a Saturday with a friend because the margarita never disappoint! The bartender recommended the Birria Dumplings for my entree and ....Let me tell y'all something. I will NEVER get anything else! Full of flavor. Whoever thought of this dish? Genius!

Mercado's is one of my new favorite spots in Nashville. It's tucked away in the Wedgwood and Houston area. The ambiance feels like a modern beach town with all the beautiful interior. My favorite thing about this spot is the upstairs bar. It overlooks the views of Nashville. The service has always been very good here considering how busy they are. Food comes out at a reasonable time as well as the drinks. The food is high quality. I would recommend the guacamole over their salsa and get house margs. The "Grande" Board is a great meal to split between 3 people. This place really is such a great place without dealing with the chaos of other Nashville restaurants. The only complaint is the limited parking (which is not their fault). Check this place out!

Mercado Butchertown's rooftop is the best happy hour vibe post work! Service was attentive. The drinks are strong and perfectly crafted, we had margs and palomas. Their happy hour offers a few decent deals to split with a few people adding even more value to the visit. We split the barbacoa tacos & queso, the food was just fine. The highlight for me was the rooftop - the views of the city from the distance in WeHo are fun and create a wonderful atmosphere for a afternoon/night out. Overall, a great spot to relax and enjoy the vibrant Nashville scene solo or with a small group. Some street parking for free and garage parking via Metropolis app.

We were greeted and seated quickly. It was a Thursday night, and they were steady. We started with frozen margaritas. I expected a mango margarita, but got a margarita with a mango syrup? On top. Same with my boyfriend's strawberry marg. We got chips and guac that were both delicious. I loved how fresh the chips tasted. And the guac had bits of cilantro an jalapeño in it. We both got tacos. I had the fish tacos (two) which were crunchy as described and delicious. Two were plenty for me! My boyfriend had the brisket tacos (two) and loved them. The atmosphere was pleasant although we found the music to be a little too loud. Over all, 5 out of 5 from me.

Love Butchertown hall, but they should be ashamed to have their name on this place. It's a mess. Rooftop staff were rude af and drunk. The rooftop was crazy loud and the service was... let's say "sloppy." When we finally ate (downstairs) the food was barely fine. This place was really really bad. Guessing it won't last and borderline hoping it won't so that a restaurant that actually wants to put in effort can take their spot.

During my first visit to Nashville, I stumbled upon Mercado and it turned out to be a fantastic find. The food was absolutely delicious and was beautifully presented. What really made my dining experience memorable was the exceptional service provided by Tyler. He was attentive, friendly, and had excellent people skills. Tyler was knowledgeable about the menu, provided great recommendations, and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. He made sure that everything was to our satisfaction throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Mercado for its delicious food and exceptional service, especially if it's your first time visiting Nashville. It was a delightful introduction to the city, and I look forward to coming back!

The food, service, and atmosphere are *chef's kiss* Managed to eat all of the guacamole before thinking to take a pic. It comes with fresh jalapeños so beware if spice isn't your thing. My first time having a mezcal margarita and it didn't disappoint. The only thing I wish was different about this spot is the parking.

If we can rate with half numbers, I would give Mercado a 3.75! The drinks were the highlight of the meal. Both times that I went, I wasn't really impressed with the food at all. However, I love their margs and the other Butchertown hall has amazing margs too. The food was just okay. It was hard to eat the tacos because they're on corn tortillas so it broke apart when we started to bite them. The oysters were okay quality. For having 2 dozen oysters, we wished they put more lemon wedges on the platter. Both of our stomach was upset the next day. (Not sure if it's because of the oysters or not)

+ ambiance and variety with seating options. There's a bar - first come first served, an oyster bar (seated), dining, and a rooftop terrace- indoor/ outdoor. + lighting lends to great energy & no awkward moments trying to see the people you're with + people are friendly & hip - wait for seating is outrageous for dine in or oyster bar - food was meh, just okay. I had the seasonal salad & added shrimp it was a bit overcooked and under seasoned. Their trio of salsa was okay not good or bad- fair - drinks- I ordered a house marg that comes from a tap, is it really a margarita if it comes from a tap?! Jury is out on my end... - server / bartender was Sheldon- sweet guy but man was he being worked- it was nonstop and it was just him so the stress was high on his end. Sure on overhead cost you save on labor but you compromise hospitality & hard cost like broken glasses (I witness at least 2) and bottles.

The roof top is to die for and the staff is always so friendly. The ambiance is 10/10. Freshest oysters/ seafood in town! Will definitely be back again and again!

This was a really weird experience that left me actually shaking because we felt so unwelcome. It was like being in a bar on Broadway, but the bartender was less professional. The rooftop bartender told me they were out of oyster cards and explained he /could/ get me oysters at the rooftop, but it would take a long time, not really worth it to order up there, and I'd be better off downstairs. I then said, isn't this an oyster bar? And he said, and I quote, "my bosses are f***ing idiots. I don't know why they named it that." He preceded to say I should just go downstairs and sit at the bar there. That it would be more my vibe. ...okay... we came for the rooftop so thanks for your opinion?? I can't even explain all the details of the interaction that made us feel super unwelcome. He was visibly drunk, slurring his words, sloppy pouring drinks. People right next to me that he seemingly knew shouting his name at him trying to get his attention, while I was trying to order, to the point where I couldn't hear him and he had to tell them to wait a second. I told him we just wanted to do oysters and cocktails on the rooftop and he said, "Was the bar downstairs full?" To which I said, I don't think so...can we not just get a cocktail up here? So finally I just ordered a drink just so we could at least enjoy the view, but when I saw his carelessness in making it and how sloppy the pour was, we decided to not stay. We did report it to the shift lead, who gave us a free drink, but that doesn't really fix it. Then while sitting at the bar inside trying to recoup our date night, he came downstairs and started berating the inside bartender for relaying what we had reported to their manager. In front of us. Like five feet from us where we could hear him.

Tasty but on the pricy side for tacos. Luckily I wasn't super hungry. These 2 tacos with the cauliflower were $18! My friend got the sweet potato dorados and was surprised that the sweet potatoes were puréed so she didn't love it (she's a texture person). She said it reminded her of an empanada. She said her cocktail was tasty and the guacamole was on the spicy side. We went up to the rooftop just to see what it looked like and it was cute and simple but we didn't stay. The staff was nice but overall we wouldn't go back.

So glad we got to check out mercado by butchertown. Lots of margarita options. The shrimp tostada was amazing, blew us away- crunchy, salty, smoky, and a touch messy. have you heard about their happy hour menu??!?!?! Because I hadnt until we got there (after happy hour which means well be back). The rooftop bar looks awesome as well, oyesters? on a roof? sounds perfect to me.

We had high hopes, but sadly, it didn't meet our expectations. Food, drinks, and drinks were below average. Ambiance inside was nice, but loud. We sat outside, street level where there was a constant wafting of feint sewer smell. Lo and behold, our table was right next to a sewer manhole (lid on of course, but still a smell). We ordered the three salsas and chips. Salsas were excellent, chips average. We ordered margaritas, which were $20 each and gone in 5 sips. I ordered a Ranch Water from the bar, which was undrinkable. I ordered a kale caesar, which when delivered, was a pitiful salad with romaine, including a big chunk of stem. When I asked the waiter, he didn't even notice it wasn't kale; he checked with the kitchen and came back to say, oh yeah, we are out of kale. I can make a way better salad at home for way less than $11. My husband's brisket tacos were good. Bottom line, if you can't serve a good, margarita, chips and salsa, I'm out.

Will 100% be back for happy hour, but not sure if I'll be back for a full meal. The happy hour deals were great, with the cocktails and queso being the stars of the show! We also got a tostada and some Al pastor tacos which were good, but didn't blow us away. Service was a little slow to start, but everyone was friendly and once we had our waitress' attention she kept a good eye on us. We enjoyed the patio because inside the restaurant was a little loud so keep that in mind if you are wanting to having a conversation! Overall, I will be back if I'm needing a spot in the neighborhood, but probably won't go out of my way to visit again.

I absolutely loved Mercado and its rooftop oyster bar. The cocktails were delicious and they had a great selection of oysters. The pork tacos and guacamole were also fantastic. You can't beat the views from the rooftop at sunset. The service was great too!

I was so excited about this place and we cancelled a reservation to eat here when we found out there was a spot. Starting at the rooftop, there are the most beautiful views of the Nashville skyline. The margaritas were top notch and the queso was amazing. We went from the rooftop down to Mercado for dinner and were quickly disappointed in the transition. The kale salad to start was incredibly tough and included multiple large unchewable stems, so bad we couldn't finish it. But then we got the tacos. The tacos were fine but would only recommend the brisket one as it was the only one with good flavor. The crunchy fish and chorizo were drenched in pico and sauce and made our stomachs hurt. Wish we had a better experience, atleast the drinks and views are good?

Great frozen passionfruit margarita. Queso was great. Fish tacos were good. The restaurant is well decorated. The base of the tables are too big so you can't pull your chair in as far as you would like. Parking is a challenge, all street parking.

the food was good but the service was terrible. we made a reservation but then walked up to the rooftop where it was first come, first serve. the menu was extremely limited but as to be expected since it's a bar. we ordered the guac, queso, fish tacos, barbacoa tacos and al pastor tacos. they were all delish. we also ordered all different kind of margaritas. the margaritas were strong but the i swear the tajin rim was old bay seasoning. there was definitely cumin in there. the reason i'm giving 3 stars is because we waited forever for our food, our waiter seemed to be on drugs and we asked for waters 4 times. we kept asking about the food and then the waiter finally brought our food and told us how we made him "run" downstairs. Kinda awkward. the food was good but the service was bad.

Great experience at Mercado! Their happy hour is wonderful with $6 margs and $2 oysters! The queso was the highlight of the apps and the chicken tinga taco and barbacoa tacos were amazing!! Service was a tad slow but food and atmosphere were great!!

Loved our visit to Mercado! We would even venture to say this is our new favorite over Butchertown (sorry to their sister restaurant...still have the better patio haha). The space has a Southwest vibe with cactus, saddles, and the whole desert atmosphere. Although we went for their opening weekend, they totally had it together and just nailed it on service, food and a well-run establishment. If I had one tip for your visit it would be DO NOT MISS THE QUESO. They bring a huge basket of chips and the queso is on a little skillet, served piping hot. I love queso with chorizo and this one has so much flavor but isn't spicy. We also tried their guac which was a hit. For dinner, the hubs got 3 fish tacos which were awesome (had a bite) and I got the seared ahi tostada which was also yummy. To drink, I highly recommend their margaritas. I went with their passionfruit margarita which is delicious and not overly sweet. All in all you need to make it a point to visit!

I love the ambiance of the downstairs restaurant as well as the rooftop bar. There is a great view of the city. The guacamole and queso are both really good.

I really want to love this place, yet after three times, I'm still disappointed with the service/timing. The oysters are very good, yet the third time we ordered them, cocktail sauce was missing. When I requested some, I got about a teaspoon full. Odd. Maybe they were running out? We always come in at opening. Last time we sat on the roof, it took over 1/2 hour for our oysters. After almost 25 minutes or so, the bartender told us a large party came in; therefore, our order got delayed. I didn't see any large party. I believe he simply forgot to ring them in. A couple who came in around 4:45 or so got theirs immediately (the same time ours finally arrived). Chances are we will pop in again at some point. Fourth times a charm?!

Everything I had was pretty good! Our waiter was nice and obviously the ambiance is awesome! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it seems slightly overpriced, but it's not too high that I wouldn't go back.

Overpriced. I have a personal issue with wanting a variety of tacos and you can only order the same taco in sets of 2 or 3. No parking Margs are good though

Great happy hour. Food was so good. Loved the queso and the Baja fish tacos. Margaritas were so good too! Service was quick and it was really cute in the restaurant!

Not sure about everyone else's review but i consider myself a hard critic but those fish tacos are unreal. i don't even like fish tacos but i haven't been able to stop thinking about them even though i've been 3 times in a week like they're actually unreal and that one strawberry marg had me feeling great

Pros: loved the decor and vibe! Love that there's some things on the menu the same as butchertown but also a lot of refreshing new dishes. I had the burnt ends tostada and it was amazing. Cons: the parking situation is an issue. There's minimal street parking and if it's this time of year--even if you go right when they open at 5 you are walking along a busy street with no sidewalk in the dark. The food took a little longer to come out but tasted great. My husband had the fish and it was very flavorful but chewy and overdone. Overall an amazing addition to this neighborhood, but probably won't come out of our way to come back unless we happen to be in the neighborhood. We did not make it upstairs but the photos look very cool.

Ramone's Rooftop 5 STARS when they initially opened. I have been there multiple times for happy hour. The reason I now give 3 stars is because they have increased the oyster HH price from 1 to 2 dollars (why?), the Paloma is now batched and not fresh squeezed grapefruit, and they no longer serve white wine at the rooftop though it is still listed on the happy hour menu (menu needs to be updated if this is truly the case). It seems like the incoming crowd directly affected the quality of a "chef's kiss" Happy Hour which is disappointing to see as a frequent flyer. I hope they continue to make quality adjustments to keep the neighborhood crowd that knows how good it was when they first opened.

Well I been wanting to try this place for happy hour and me and my friends got there about 445ish on a Sunday. Mind you there happy hour is 4-6. We got seated about 505, we asked to be seated outside and we sat for a good 10 min and no one came to us but it smelled like sewage outside so my friend went inside to ask to be moved inside. So we got seated and still no one. We saw other guest being seated after us getting serviced. That's when we should of walked out but I was really wanting to try these happy hour oysters. Took about 15 min to finally get a waiter. And then we was gonna order a dozen oysters and he told us the last batch for the happy hour was just sold. So since that's what we went for we just got drinks. Got our drink and the service was just long. Everything was just a waiting period this day here. We got drinks during happy hour just margarita. We finished it and got our check and we didn't even get the happy hour price. We was annoyed so we just paid for it and left. But seriously if people don't want to do their job go find another one!!! That's all I got to say. I work in the service industry so I know how important good customer is. Maybe I'll give them another try. But we shall see!

What an amazing experience! The food was top notch, the atmosphere was contemporary and the roof top bar was an elegant bonus. Definitely a must when dining in Nashville. Superb service makes Mercado an all five star dining experience.

It was just okay, not dying to go back. First two strikes were no straws in a frozen drink (we all literally starting stirring our drinks with knives), and no small plates given with our appetizer. The tacos were pretty forgettable. Server was nice enough. Some of the decor was strange - why the random red-striped awnings everywhere. Cool space otherwise. I want to go back to the rooftop.

I have had a few great meals here, but for the first time I ate outside last night, and quickly noticed a sewer-like smell. I hope they can figure this out because it's a great restaurant! .

Food was excellent server didn't seem engaged we asked enough questions that finally received a really good experience. The atmosphere is lacking compared to Butchertown Hall but food is definitely the highlight I would return. Needs more seafood items if it's suppose to be Cabo inspired.

"One star go and find out" Long version reservations at 6:30 didn't get seated till seven. The food took about an hour to come out for half of the table and then another 25 minutes for the other half of the table. No one ate at the same time I will never be back. Food is Okay. Left at 9ish.

Nice enough spot but nothing special. Got chips and guacamole that was ok and two chicken tinga tacos that had so much liquid the tacos quickly broke. Overpriced for mediocre experience. I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Had such a great time here with some friends of mine. Super friendly service and the design of the inside of the space is breathtaking. So many unique, authentic food options there that remind me of trips I used to take as a kid to Mexico. Will definitely be coming back

Where do I begin. As a Nashville native I look forward to dining at new restaurants and seeing how my hometown has evolved into a foodie's paradise. 1. Arrived and added my name to a 1hour 45 minute wait. Totally cool. 2. Hostess Hailey suggested that my party of 2 go upstairs to the rooftop bar and she would text me when seats at the bar became available. She insisted that my friend and I go upstairs several times more than 3 after I was hesitant. 3. 2 young women arrived after me that did not have a reservation and that lingered and with me. But Hailee did not mention to them that they should go upstairs as she did my friend and I. 4. Finally we decide to go upstairs and get a drink. After about an hour I decide to go down and I see the two young women dining at the bar. 5. I asked Hailee how did they get seated before my party. She gets extremely defensive and states they had a reservation while I know they did not. They were waiting and lingering like my party. 6. By now you know why they were sat and my party was not. 7. The food is very mid. Not to mention my food was raw and cold. Mercado is not a place I would recommend to anyone that I would like and to have a great experience. Yes the ambience is cool 8. The owner did not hear the conversation between Hailiee the hostess and myself. He was not present when she gave my seats up to two Caucasian woman. He apparently didn't not see the raw food, then line of 5 women waiting to use the restroom, he did not hear how Hailiee was speaking to me. And as I was leaving AFTER I paid my bill he chased me out of the restaurant! I was walking to my car left the establishment and he followed me outside! What was your reason for following me outside of the restaurant? You were extremely confrontational and very aggressive! And banned the food alone should even be fed to wild animals. You decided not to address the real issue I see. But... THEY HAVE 1 BATHROOM. Needless to say, I have had better experiences at a taco food truck, better tacos, better service and overall walked away with a reason to return. Highly disappointed. 0/10- do not recommend
