Tony met with famous Brazilian artist, Belo Borba in this public market. They ate a fish that can kill you if not prepared properly, served in a spicy stew.
The best "street" market in town. A great area to crudely spot Bahian culture and shop typical grocery. If nearby, stop by Dona Márcia Restaurant, a very humble kind-of-restaurant that serves local-heavy-tasteful food. I personally recommend the "pirão de rabada".
