The Best Street Food in Oaxaca City, Mexico | Eater

"A family-run juice stall offering an astonishing range of fresh-pressed and blended drinks — from straight orange to inventive blends like guava-carrot-grapefruit-watermelon-kiwi-beet — as well as milk-based beverages such as amangoneada (milk blended with fresh mango and banana); seasonal treats include homemade rompope at Christmas, and the stall anchors a bustling street-food cluster." - Sarah Menkedick

This market sells everything you need to cook at home. We were able to get fresh fruits and veggies, tortillas (freshly made!), cheese, milk, coffee, eggs... you name it! You won’t find a lot of stands for souvenirs and such since this is more of a local market. We stayed near here and came almost every day to pick up essentials. They also have food stands where you can come get breakfast or lunch and it is very cheap! We got enchiladas and hot chocolate.

Local, seasonal and organic ingredients are available at this market. You can even have lunch and some non alcoholic drinks here. Its just the right size! This market is CASH ONLY

Very clean market with a large variety of goods and fresh veggies and meats. Wide aisles make it easy to walk around without feeling cramped or rushed.

Very cool local market with lots of good food and drink options! I went on a walking tour here. I liked the tiny avocados and I got some soft green mangoes that you are supposed to squish and then bite a hole And drink like a beverage!

This is a smaller market in Oaxaca but still offering a great selection of everything found at the bigger busier markets and still authentic. Get your fruits, breakfast, dinner and any other food need here as well as other basic items for everyday life in Oaxaca. Purses, clothing, utensils etc. Its also a pretty colorful visit and the multiple shop owners are very friendly. Totally worth a visit. For those wanting to try something traditional get a "Tlayuda with Tasajo" this is a really good dish with a bit of everything and portions are generous so even two persons may share.

I frequent this market when i visit oaxaca city. If you come early in the morning, you can get very very good tamales. The ladies have frijole tamales for us vegetarians 🙏 then i buy some creamy salsas from the salsa lady...and fill up my bottle with carrot juice from the juice people 👍 You can also find tropical fruits, local eggs, tortillas.. and there are little restaurants to eat

This one is a smaller market, but you can get everything. Fresh vegetables and fruits, all sorts of meats and delicious foods. It is worth to visit.
