"A bustling fish and produce market offering a vivid array of Atlantic catches—sun-dried octopus, scarlet shrimp—alongside fresh figs, oranges, local nuts and cheeses, and regional specialties; don’t leave without a bottle of locally made piri-piri, a complex sauce of crushed chiles, lemons, and red bell peppers." - ByMiguel Andrade

A market for those who love exploring real local flavors. The market is divided into separate buildings for seafood, meat, and produce — all under elegant red roofs that give a touch of history.
Right outside, you’ll find cafés with outdoor seating and a view of the harbor — perfect for a morning coffee after shopping. It can be crowded on weekends, so come early!

A really well presented market and lots of stock! There are two different halls to wander around, meat, vegetables, fish and lots of local produce. A loa market with character, friendly and right next to the beach, marina and lots of places to eat and drink 🍷

Vibrant market spaces, like the UK had before supermarkets destroyed town centres.
One was selling fresh fruit and vegetables, and things like honey and marmalade.
The the other market sold fresh fish. Wet fish sales is practically extinct in the UK and one wonders why abroad such places are viable whilst in the UK they have all but disappeared.
Plenty of good restaurants nearby to peoplexwstch.

What you hope to see at a market. Genuine folks that bring artisanal products that are also bought by locals.
