Mercados de Olhão

We always love shopping at the Mercado de Olhão - the inside vendors are always great and on Saturdays there's even more to do and see with the local farmers stands and street performances like the ones in the videos here. Great, healthy food at reasonable prices contributing to the local economy - sounds pretty awesome to me.

A beautiful market in the town center of Olhāo. It is two buildings, one with fish, and the other with “all the other things” like herbs, fruits, vegetables, and other dry goods. We found each vendor to be very helpful, eager to sell their items of course, but none were overbearing.

The beach was beautiful.. So was the scenery so rustic... Brings me many beautiful memories...

Great open market. Come on a Saturday when there is a farmer market style place in the front. If you see the white food truck selling fried dough goodness. Get yourself something to eat.

1st time here, just love it, walking around see people... Fresh fish, veg and fruit everything so good quality.. Everybody friendly... Be back

Full of life by way of decibels and dead fish. This is an extensive, bustling market for such a small town, which is a short walk from the ferry stop to reach other islands. The architecture was slightly underwhelming, but the characters inside made up for it.

Brilliant selection of fresh, local and quality produce. Ranging from fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, cakes and then separate fish market. Amazing to just wander through.

A beautiful place to be on a sunny day. Reasonable prices, just great.
