Enjoyed the studio tour and by an amazing stroke of luck it was just Deborah and I. Music history was made here and our guide Mathew was a walking encyclopedia.

We were lucky to get an AM private tour with us & our kids; ages 17, 15 & 7. The studio was very interesting to all! The tour guide was so patient & knowledgeable. He answered all our questions & went beyond by explaining the history of instruments. The kids loved the museum & listening to the interactive record collections. We've been to many music/artist museums & you can't beat the cost for a family. This was by far the best experience for the price. Our family has discussed & looked up different musicians that have recorded here all day. Many great discussions as a family!

This visit was well worth the $12 entry fee. It included an in-depth tour of two fine studios, one digital and one analogue. Bob was the tour guide and was very knowledgeable about all things Capricorn. I'm sure the museum will expand with time, but for now, there is lots of the Capricorn catalogue digitally recorded from vinyl for that delightful "snap, crackle, pop!" The art in the building is superb. Color and black-and-white paintings/murals, including a few of the iconic Fillmore East cover (which was taken in Macon!). Highly recommended!

This place has so much history from the music world. If you want to see where it all comes together, this is the place to be.

We visited recently and it was great. Such rich musical history from the Southern Rock era all in one location. I'm so glad it's been revitalized by Mercer for future generations to enjoy. On the day we visited, the studio portion was in use, so not open for tours. Only the museum portion was. Upstairs is great. Kinda small but packed with photos, memorabilia and the music listening stations. (Really cool - digitized Capricorn music catalog there for your listening enjoyment via headphones) Bob, the person on staff that day was so welcoming and informative. Really a gracious host! Well, as it turned out, just as we finished our time in the upstairs museum, Bob grabbed us and told us that the band was in a break, so if we wanted, he could give us a really quick tour if the studio portion. He was so inviting and really knowledgeable about the studio. He told us that the main room of the studio had not changed since 1972. Same carpet, drapes, lighting - everything! The goal was to try to retain some of the same vibe from the days of the classic music recorded there by the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Little Feat, Wet Willie, etc. While our studio tour was brief, it was so nice of him to take the time to do it. We also spoke with a few of the musicians and studio staff. They were really great as well. We'll hopefully get to go back for the full studio tour someday. Thanks to Bob and everyone else there for making our visit even more awesome! Highly recommended !

Oh my goodness walked in had information overload for all the southern rock and roll. I enjoyed the records upstairs with the crackling of the albums it was awesome the whole place was awesome a place to go as a tourist or someone who's lived here all their life history and great memories

We stoped in on Sunday to tour the music studio. I am not sure if the museum is a separate fee, if so I don't recommend only visiting the museum. However the studio tour is 100% amazing!!!!! I could have listened to the young man tell us about Capricorn for hours. Such a wealth of knowledge, engaging, and entertaining. Super cool experience!!! My 15 and 10 year olds enjoyed it as well.

Wonderful store and while you in Macon you can visit their Music Hall of Fame, exhibition and one for the memories revisited of all the great artist that started in Macon
