Merchants NY

We had yet ANOTHER perfect evening at Merchants last week for my hubs birthday dinner with our friends from CA. Sophia, our server took excellent care of us. We shared the chips & guac appetizer (perfect guac, btw and the chicken wings) and everyone was thrilled with their entrees: fajitas, Shepard Pie, fish & chips and the classic Merchants burger. We took advantage of their customer-friendly Happy Hour, too. No notes. Perfection.

I had the Merchant’s eggs Benedict for brunch and loved it! I asked for light on the hollandaise and they obliged. It was a great meal and I would recommend.

Literally our favorite- Abraham and his team are amazing and lovely. Best food and mood. Amazing quality food and best people - great for just drinks snd even better for dinner. Must have the French onion soup!!!!

My friend invited me to have dinner with him after going to an exhibit at the FIT museum. We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious meal at Merchants. American fare, the menu essentially featured elevated pub dishes. We ordered the cheesy truffle potato wedges (although I didn't taste any truffle flavor. Maybe it was in the bacon aioli? I don't eat pork so I requested a Sriracha aioli instead.), avocado fries and carne asada tacos. For dessert we ordered the sour cream apple walnut pie which comes from the Little Pie company. If you've never had this before, don't walk, run and try it. To wash everything down, we ordered two cocktails: spiked lemonade and the southern bourbon peach tea. Although the spiked lemonade was good, I found the southern bourbon peach tea to be bitter. It was basically unsweetened peach iced tea with bourbon. I enjoy bourbon. However this was not my idea of a tasty cocktail. Overall the food was high quality and the service was good.

Very happy with our late night stop for a cocktail and nosh. We sat on the cozy,dimly lit patio and had quick service. The nachos were very unique in a great way, I would order them again. Our drinks were well made and ice cold.

I had the Pan seared Salmon in Shittake Mushroom Broth. Boy was that good! The broth was aHHH AMAZING! So good I had to order some extra bread (that was good and it was 2.50) to sop up the rest of that glorious broth on the salmon! I was low key considering ordering another order but I figured that would be greedy... The pasta was fine, but not as good as the salmon. A bit of a tangy taste but it was good, just not GREAT like my salmon dish was. Service was in point and perfect. No complains there at all. When we popped in, not many ppl were there. One table with about 5 ppl and they were finishing and another table with 2 and they were done, just talking. I'd def come back here though to order that salmon in mushroom broth, it was HEAVENLY.

We came for brunch last weekend and I'm giving it a solid 4. Our server was lovely but didn't come back and check on us once food had arrived. I had to ask another staff member to find her to order another margarita. Nachos we're supposed to have chili beef but couldn't see nor taste beef only beans. Eggs Benedict was pretty good. Would go back but a 4 not a 5. UPDATE. We come here all the time. 5 stars, always welcoming and friendly. Food always good. Fantastic margaritas

Merchants NY is known for its creative cocktails at late hours. Their weekend brunch is a steal for daytime folks. Their food and drinks are good, and the service is fast. Whether it's dining with friends to catch up and on dates, they offer pleasant dining experiences indoor or outdoor.

my mom was in town for her birthday so we were looking for a place with salads for lunch and Merchants delivered! we ordered the cobb salad along with the chicken caesar salad - both were very big and delicious! we ordered a side of biscuits for the table and we loved them so much we got another order so those are a must get item! we sat down quickly with no wait at 12:30pm on a saturday - this is definitely a perfect summer spot. they also brought out some champagne with a little candle to help my mom celebrate!

I LOVE MERCHANTS, NY! The staff / ownership are great (thank you to Abraham & the beautiful Gianella!) And the BEST HOT WINGS I've ever had (and that's saying something!) Reasonable prices & cozy atmosphere with usually good music at at reasonable volume. (Thanks for that! SO sick of restaurants & bars using overly loud music / bad acoustics to attempt to create the illusion of "buzzy"! Let us chill!) Also the perfect place for a pre- or post-show bite when going to see one of the great shows* at Irish Repertory Theater a block away! [*see CHESTER BAILEY if you can before it has to close on 11/20/2022; PHENOMENAL!]

Not knowing what to expect, six of us walked into this restaurant's outdoor seating area. Of all the cocktails we ordered BLACK BRAMBLE was just awesome as were Cauliflower steak , Provencal Vegetable Plate and Salmon.

Love this spot. Been a fan since they were on 18&7. Great staff and food. Always a friendly bar. Nachos are huge

I have had the pleasure of enjoying several meals here, both brunch and dinner. The food is delicious and of high quality, so far I have had their cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, avocado toast and salmon eggs benedict. Their service is spot on, friendly, accommodating and efficient. I look forward to dining here again!!! ~Craig

Came for a birthday but wouldn't let us cut a cake. Fish and chips ok but very tiny portion.
