Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet Al Ain Hotel

"How did it strike you on arrival? At an elevation of 3,000 feet, this mountain resort overlooks Al Ain and the Oman border. The atmosphere of the hotel itself isn't particularly destination-worthy, but the surrounding scenery is. Nice. What’s the crowd like?A large conference center means lots of local business travelers, but the hotel is popular among honeymooners and couples, too. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Rooms are a bit dated and lack any sort of discernible regional flair. Headboards in the suites have elaborate wood inlays, and white bedding is accented with tropical hues. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Beds are comfortable, but beware that some double rooms consist of two twin beds pushed together. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Bathrooms are on the smaller side, with dated tiling and so-so amenities. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wi-Fi is free, strong throughout the property, and fast. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The hotel's mountain-top location makes for great views, overlooking the pool and Al Ain below. The pool is spacious, with a bar for you and a waterslide for the kids. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Al Ain isn't exactly a hotbed of luxury resorts, but Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet gets the job done." - Laura Ratliff

It was a wonderful stay in this hotel. On the way is So hard cos its too foggy, like zero visibility but at 3am its all clear so we’ve got a chance to see the beauty on top of the Mountain. Its amazing to experience the weather cos inside the Hotel is so warm and cozy, its just that i am not that satisfied with the breakfast(just-me) but all in all its great. One of the best experience. Thank you for the staffs in the Reception they are so nice and friendly.

Nice place with a great location and beautiful surroundings. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and a really nice spot to relax. The only downside is that late at night, food options are very limited—only room service with heavy meals is available, and food delivery isn’t possible due to the location. It would be great if the lobby had 24/7 food options, including light meals and snacks. Overall, still a very good stay.

Our family stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. Getting to this hotel is a bit difficult because there’s no public transportation available except for taxis. We chose to book in advance with people who offer car lifts. We paid around 70 AED but ended up giving 100 AED because the driver was really nice. When we checked in, the receptionist told us that they would upgrade our room because the one we originally booked had two single beds that were separated. Our room was really nice—clean, with a balcony. However, there were some areas that weren’t very clean, such as the curtains, which had a lot of stains. I understand that the hotel is a bit old and the prices are affordable, so it wasn’t really a big issue for us. There are several amenities, such as a playground and a pool, which we really enjoyed. They check the pool’s pH level every day to maintain water quality. The breakfast was okay, but I really enjoyed the bread and the egg station. The restaurant food was also fine, and the prices were reasonable considering the location is on a mountain. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Oryx Hotel, especially because the weather was very nice. For me, it’s good value for money.

Location is great. But rooms are not upto the star rating level. Especially when it comes to finishes. Service was great. Dinner was ok, and enough option of dishes were available, but most of the dishes in breakfast were just namesake. Live egg counter was good, where we can customise some options as we require. Pool was nice and controlled with PH level and temperature. Water slide are available during day time. Many improvements may require especially in rooms and finishes, when we compare with equivalent star rated properties.

Large spacious rooms, old property but clean enough, good facilities for kids entertainment with water park with slides & play area. Lovely location, very quiet with great view on the mountain. Service & quality of breakfast could be better during peak season as they seem understaffed. Staff was very helpful & polite. Will be looking forward to stay here again!

What an unforgettable escape to Al Ain! The Oryx Grand Hotel at Jebel Hafeet offers the perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty. From the spectacular drive up 🛣️, to checking in and being greeted by the charming lobby parrot 🦜, every moment was special. We settled into our spacious 2 bedroom suite, which offered a comfortable and elegant base for exploring. The amenities are fantastic! We enjoyed the gym, the Mountain View Spa, salon swimming pools and had so much fun on the waterslides 🏊 there’s playgrouand gift shop, lots of indoor n outdoor activities to explore had fun in the vibrant arcade 🕹️. What caughy my eyes was the huge golf play area and Even the giant outdoor chess set was a highlight! The dining experience was incredible, especially the extensive breakfast buffet with live egg stations 🍳🥞. And of course, the views are what makes it magical. They also have banquet halls, meeting rooms to organise events Watching the sunset from the viewpoint and seeing the city lights from above was absolutely breathtaking. ✨ 📍 Oryx Grand Hotel Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain Highly recommend this destination for an amazing trip!

Great place to spend time with family. The hotel is a bit old but well maintained. Food and service at the restaurant was good. The pools are clean and well maintained, and the kids’ play area is also good. Christmas decorations and overall amenities were nice and added to the experience. One of the lifts was not working, which made moving around the hotel a bit difficult. Every time we stepped out of the room, had to wait for a long time since the lift was usually full. Hopefully this will be repaired soon. Another area that needs improvement is the reception. We had booked and paid in advance for two rooms, and it should have been possible to allocate nearby rooms, especially since we had requested it. But we were given rooms far apart. After checking in to the room we noticed that the room next to us was vacant, but we were not given that option. Not sure why. Overall, a good family stay, but a few small things could have been handled better.

We stayed there for one night, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The cleanliness, excellent service, and a quite decent breakfast spread, along with its beautiful location between the mountains, make this place one of the top choices as soon as the weather cools down in the UAE. We were fortunate to experience rain, thunder, and zero-visibility fog during our stay, which made it a lifetime memory for us. Special thanks to Mr. Asif for his outstanding support—he assisted us with everything we needed in our room and made our stay even more comfortable. His service was truly commendable. All the staff were polite, friendly, and very welcoming. Highly recommended for families and kids, as there are plenty of activities to keep them happily entertained
