Really cool place. We came into town last night and were looking for a place to eat and enjoy a good cocktail. Man were we pleasantly surprised we stumbled into this gem. Our bartender was amazing and she made us a mean Old Fashioned with Redemption Rye. There were only 4 menu items available. We did come in the last hour they were open. But both items were good. The buffalo chicken dip and the charcuterie board were just what we needed to go with our Old Fashioned. But it gets better! They have a Pokémon-themed menu. I believe they do different themes every month. This was so cool. Definitely glad we stumbled in here! The service and ambiance were great! Please stop in if you are in this part of town!

Amazing seasonal menus with creative drinks and menu presentations. One of the best bars in Omaha. Been coming for years. The photos are of the 2025 Christmas season.

I wandered in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon, having no idea how fabulous this place is. From the giant cured blocks of ice, the insane bourbon selection, the crazy good service to the creative and inventive Pokémon cocktail menu this place does not disappoint. The adorable female bartender is so knowledgeable and patient with the inevitable questions that come with the complex menu. Highly recommend!!

We wanted to try some unique cocktails, and this place did not disappoint. The appetizers we ordered perfectly complemented the drinks. The service was fantastic—energetic and attentive. Overall, this lively and fun cocktail bar in the downtown area is a must-try!

Summer strolling through Omaha led us straight to this absolute gem. We spotted the rainbow “All Are Welcome Here” sticker on the door and knew instantly—this was our kind of spot. 🌈💫 Inside, we were greeted by two lovely bartenders who glowed with good vibes and walked us through their Pride drink menu (lucky us—it was the final week!). And then—hold onto your Poké Balls—the pièce de résistance… THE POKÉMON DRINK MENU. 🧃✨ Each drink is its own character, with the option to evolve. Yes, evolve. I wanted to catch them ALL, people! 😂🔥 We wrapped the night sipping on Lewis Hamilton’s alcohol-free tequila (because balance!) and swapping stories with the crew behind the bar. Mercury is magic. Inclusive, inventive, and full of sparkle. 10/10 would thunderbolt back again ⚡💛

Only problem I had was the kitchen closed before I got here at 10:30 pm everything else was great the pics I posted only showed a fraction of there huge selection of alcohol wow. There's so many different types of alcohol the bartender has to get on a stool to reach them all. I had an old fashion it was great. Will come here again hopefully when the kitchen is open

This is a very fun place. A funky atmosphere where the decor changes several times a year. We visited when they were celebrating Henry Doorly Zoo. Craft cocktails around the Zoo theme. We had the Zebra and the Butterfly. Both excellent. Won’t bother to describe, since they’ll be gone soon. I’m sure they will be replaced with something just as good. Deviled eggs and guacamole were fresh, delicious. Crab Pasta and Cubano Sandwich were excellent. One of those places you need to visit multiple times a year to catch the latest theme. Try the drink carousel if you are brave. Enjoy a drink made from a private bourbon barrel. Like the bourbon? They will sell you a bottle.

Mercury is always my go-to stop for a pre-show cocktail before heading to the Orpheum. The vibe is sleek yet cozy, and the bartenders always seem genuinely excited about what they're mixing up. Their rotating cocktail menus are one of my favorite things about this spot -- each one has its own creative theme, and the current Halloween menu is such a fun touch. On my most recent visit, I tried the Poltergeist and the Bahama Rita on the recommendation of the bartenders -- both were absolute hits. The drinks here are always beautifully crafted and well-balanced, with a lot of thought behind the presentation and flavor combinations. My only complaint (and it's a small but sad one) is that they no longer serve entrées. I miss when Mercury had a full food menu -- their pasta and burger were truly underrated. These days, you'll only find light bar snacks, which pair well with the cocktails but don't quite replace a meal. Still, for creative cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and great service, Mercury remains one of the best spots downtown.

Everything was fine! Street metered parking is around. Easy to find restaurant. Service was good, there was only us (table of 3) and 2 people at the bar for a couple hours after 5pm on a Monday. They were out of a couple food items, and having a limited menu does take a large hit on the experience, but not their servers fault. Lots of couch sitting, not lots of eating normal table height seating. Indoor & outdoor seats. Nice downtown location right across from The Orpheum!

We went for their Halloween theme and it was so cool. I love that they decorate so much for each theme and really go all out. The drinks we got were tasty and I especially liked the one that came in a glowing cup. The staff there were super nice as always and checked in on us a few time. Very fun!

I love going to Mercury before a show at the Orpheum or just on a fun night out - always best to go at least once every few months as they switch up their menus frequently! This time we went specifically for their Pokémon menu - they even made the drink menu on Pokémon cards personalized for them. They really leaned into the theme being able to "evolve" the drinks into new flavors. Their themes are always super fun!! The drinks are very creative and taste great. I've had to look up the ingredients quite a few times, but it's clear they take the time to experiment with their menus to keep things exciting. My only issue is that some nights I'll wait for 30 minutes and leave because there's no tables and other nights I have no issues getting in.

Another great experience here! They have Pokemon menu currently, it's pretty fun. They have base drinks and you can "level up" like with actual Pokemon! As always, the bartenders are friendly and helpful to suggest what you may like. The menu's pretty extensive, so it was hard to choose but I really liked the drink I got. I don't remember what it was but it was rum based and had a whisky barrel aged port float.

Mercury is probably best known in Omaha for their elaborate themed menus and decor, which I have a deep appreciation for. However, I find myself coming back to Mercury time and time again not only for the fun rotating themed menus, but the service as well. I have had exceptional service every time I've been to Mercury, but our bartender tonight, Lindsay, went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good evening despite them being understaffed and super busy. She's the type of person that makes me want to come back to this bar again and again. Shout out to Lindsay!!! You rock!! Give that girl a raise!

I love love love Mercury. I don't think i've ever had a drink I didn't love here. They have rotating menus with different themes, so you can always expect something fun and new. This time when I went they had their Christmas pop up. The whole bar was decked out in Christmas decor and i LOVE it. The service is also always great!! Another added perk is they have a vending machine in their women's bathroom that sells emergency contraceptives and pregnancy tests. An overall amazing business that I feel good supporting!

Whenever i am in the area and can find parking i love to stop in here! Mercury is such a chill spot to sip on some fancy whiskey / scotch / vodka / whatever. The staff is always inviting and explain items to you. One thing i love about this place is the playful drinks and menus they do. This particular evening it was an entire Pokemon book of drinks based on the different characters. Such a fun and cheeky thing! If you have not been here what are you waiting for? If you dont like the fancy or rare stuff the drinks they have craft typically are not uber expensive. So a couple drinks and fun ambiance shouldn't break the budget.

Good selection of whiskey and cocktails. Whiskey Wednesday is half price pours, so go while you can and get that discount. Had an amazing dark cocktail with fig whiskey and sesame. Staff was helpful as well.

Mercury continues to not disappoint! Per usual, the holiday decorations are off the chart amazing and the holiday cocktail menu was scrumptious. Definitely one of my favorite cocktail bars in Omaha

Stopped here for a cocktail . Enjoyed the interactive cocktail menu and the relaxed atmosphere. Has a cool low key retro vibe. Ordered their old fashioned which was awesome, which arrived with a crystal clear chunk of ice from their Clinnebell ice machine and their Cubano sandwich. Generously served.....like my mom msde it for me. friendly service. They have cool seating choices being at the bar, at tables or sofas paired with chairs.

This an amazing place!! The staff is always friendly and ready to any questions you make have. The stink menus are always very innovative and funny, the drinks are really good and the atmosphere is really chill.

Super disappointed in this place. Maybe I came during an off night. But I didn't really feel that service was welcoming at all. Not once did she check in on how I was doing, or how the food or the drink was. I had to call her over for everything between ordering, getting the check, and her taking my card for the check... and I was sitting at the bar! The deviled eggs were probably the worse I had ever eaten. Way over salted. The only saving grace was that the drink was actually really tasty. That's about it.

More like a 3.8. Interesting concept, basically each drink has a base, then you can add to the base to bring about new and unusual flavors. They do this through a Pokeman style power up menu, but it's just confusing and honestly childish. The drinks were good and a solid value. I probably wouldn't come back due to the gimmicks, but it's interesting to see something this unique.

Drinks and drink selection is great. They have a neat Pokémon card themed drink menu which is a cute way of presenting the many drink selections available. We were there around early dinner timeframe, and they only had an appetizer menu available. The appetizers were tasty, but I really would have liked to see a better food menu. So I would rate this a great place to stop and have drinks with friends at, but not really a place for a nice dinner meal. The atmosphere was friendly and casual, with seating options from seats at the bar, tables, some with booth seating on one side, and even a few couch seats with a low coffee table to relax in. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we did not have to wait long for food and drinks to be delivered. I would go here again for drinks and snacks, but perhaps not for a set down dinner.

My friend and I came here on a Saturday night out for the very first time together! We were so happy to see the options of couches to sit at in their lounge area. The atmosphere there is really cool. Super classy with unique lights and incredibly comfortable seating. We were greeted very quickly by our server who brought us waters and helped to explain the menu with the decoder. You can use the decoder to be able to read the menu they created with the Luminarium which was very cool concept! My friend and I each order a cocktail. I got the Stella and she ordered the Blowing Seeds. Originally, our server brought her the wrong drink but let us keep it for free. He apologized and before we knew it the cocktail she ordered was there. I liked my cocktail, but it wasn't my favorite. It was unlike anything I had had before which from the menu to me it seems like most of their drinks are out of the box and unlike your typical cocktails. My favorite part about Mercury was definitely the seating, decor, and the bathroom. Offering free pads and tampons is a big win in my book! :) And I had never seen a vending machine in a bar's women's restroom offering pregnancy testing and emergency contraception. I did not try any of their food. I think this place has really cool vibes and great service!

We stopped in for drinks and dinner before seeing the musical "Tina" at the Orpheum. We did not have reservations and were seated no problem! It is a very cool setting and we had a group of 4 so sat at the couches. Staff were very nice and welcoming since it was our first time. The drinks were themed from the zoo. Fun to read and were excellent! The food was well prepared and very good! We had deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts and cheese fondue. All were great to share and tasted great! The cubano was very good as well as the Bolognese. We will definitely be back!

A really fun bar with the unique vibe. I love their random theme drinks, especially the Pokémon themed drinks. I had when I was there. (A)

Phenomenal drinks and food! Their very clever drink menu is on a zoo map, and all of the cocktails have a zoo themed name. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the roasted brussels sprouts With hot honey, almonds, and sesame. They have the perfect amount of spice. I had the vegan Bahn Mi sandwich, and it was absolutely perfectly flavored. My husband had the Cubano sandwich and it was also excellent. Both meals were served with a generous serving of french fries. The service was excellent. I loved the decor! It is a super fun, unique bar/restaurant. I highly recommend you try it!

The hubs and I came here for a date night and had a lovely time! It's quiet and chill, dim lightning, suave music. They have couches and spaces for larger groups to hangout. Love all of the windows. Felt very cozy. They had limited food options, but definitely enough. The service was wonderful and our server helped us pick out something delicious for dinner. I had their Cubano sandwich - homemade buns and tasty sauce! I was FULL afterwards. Their drink menu was Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo themed! Very cute and creative, and we love the Omaha zoo! My husband and I decided to do the Cocktail-O-Matic! It was $10 and you get a chance at a random cocktail when you put coins into this machine! It was a fun little mystery but we love adventurous stuff like that. We both ended up liking our drinks, but there's no guarantee you will... Happy Hour is 4pm-6pm Monday - Thursday! Absolutely recommend this place!!!

My husband and I were thrilled to bring our family here for the holidays. We come often and have always had stellar experiences. Tonight was incredibly disappointing. We made a reservation because we had a group of 11. I know it's the holiday season and large parties at a holiday pop up can be tough to accommodate, but we are a super easy going crew-- we were just happy to be together in such a festive environment. After the first round of drinks, it was challenging to catch any of the servers' attention to order another round. Once we caught their attention and ordered a second round, two of our drinks never came. We asked two separate servers about these drinks and finally received our drinks after waiting 43 minutes. Once we received our final bill, we noticed we were charged for an extra "... and an apple-y new year" which was the missing drink. When we inquired about removing the extra drink, the server said that the two servers got confused and had to enter it again which is why there were four instead of three. She proceeded to ask if we were certain that we only had three. I responded by saying "we are certain." I am so disappointed by the horrific service that we will no longer frequent Mercury or recommend it to friends or family.

So I think Mercury is such a cute bar to go to during the holidays, they decorate with lots of lights and it makes it feel so cozy. Their drinks are where they shine, they offer a rotating cocktail menu (our drinks were Christmas themed). They offer a great range of drinks and they don't skimp on the alcohol. I also order a burger which was ok, not bad, but also not amazing. I do recommend that if you think about ordering food, order the beer cheese fondue with baguette slices *chef's kiss*. We didn't have the best service from staff, the seating hostess and waitress were short with us and didn't communicate well with each other. Overall I still recommend this place for a quick drink and chat with friends.

Love this place! We went on a Wednesday at 4PM and there was plenty of space. Cozy couches, vibin' plants, CD case cocktail menus, wonderful service, and great vibes. The drinks were phenomenal. The food was delicious. Everything was hot and came out quick Zero regrets were had.

We stopped here after a show at the Orpheum. Drinks were good and service was great. We had the buffalo chicken dip, which was good and spicy.

Cubano sandwich was so good our group came back a second night to have it again. We burbon meatballs, deviled eggs and brussel sprouts are all 10/10 great.

Mercury is an outstanding bar with tasty food available. It's well worth the visit, especially before or after visiting the Orpheum. Located across the street from the theater, it's a great stop for us after a show. We've also hit it up on a whim while downtown, and haven't been disappointed. Parking downtown is a challenge, so plan for that. We've found parking a block away each time. They have seasonal cocktails, traditional ones, beer and wine. Foods likewise vary, and, again, haven't disappointed. Seating available in booths, couches and at the bar It's an enjoyable stop and we will return!

Great late night spot in Omaha. The food is delicious. I had the crab cake and a burger with no bun of course. It was amazing. The crab cake was very fulfilling and the burger was fresh. I didn't eat the chips but they smelled amazing. The server was very friendly and made sure that I was taken care of the entire night.

Great cocktails and small plates before or after the theater (it's next door to the Orpheum). We've always had good service. I recommend going during the Christmas/holiday season to see some fun decorations and some creative cocktails.

Food was fantastic and the drinks were fun and delicious! It did take a bit for me to get noticed at the bar, which I was not very hard to miss since I was the only one that wasn't served amongst 3 people at the bar.

Complete disappointment! Been going there for a long time. We ordered cocktails and asked for our regular drinks and said they were out... ordered apps specifically the meatballs and said they were out... ordered the Mediterranean platter because I love the feta dip... that came out and I asked were the feta dip was and the waitress said you know what sir tomorrow is our shopping day so I guises you will have to wait... All she had to do was let me know in advance and I would have ordered something Rude and unappreciative people! Won't be back!!!

Seriously... what an amazing little gem hiding in downtown Omaha. Far an away one of the more creative cocktail bars I have been to in a while, and not just because of a pandemic. Their selection is absolute amazing with prices that are very fair given the products available. Here you can find a full selection of Pappy as well as many of the BTAC bottles at very reasonable prices. The food is spot on in regards to quality, originality, and most importantly timelines of preparation. The staff here is really the true hidden gem. It's one thing to have great product, but the staff here is incredibly friendly and absolutely knowledgeable when it comes to their craft. I honestly can't wait for my next visit. Besides, who wouldn't be excited about a cocktail menu in the form of a cereal box. Side note, the boxes are weighted go stay upright... talk about attention to detail.

The ever changing unique drink menu twists are a must experience. The Barbie Cocktail Sutra menu was the bomb! Very laid back environment and welcoming staff. Just did drinks but look forward to a return to taste the food.

Vibes | chill | mezcal sunset Vibes - Monica and I checked out the place the Wednesday before thanksgiving. They had great Christmas lights and an overall low key vibe. They have tables for groups of 2-4 throughout. Then they have a back couch area that can sit one group of 10. Chill - overall this place is a good time. Ideal for starting or ending your night with friends or for a date. It is great for catching up with friends/family because it isn't too loud and the focus is on the cocktails. Mezcal Sunset - I told the waiter and bartender that I wanted a mezcal based drink that was Smokey but fruity. The creation was a mezcal sunset. Not sure what all was it in ... but it was GRADE A! Pro-Tip - challenge the bartender with new drinks. They have a talented group, so take advantage.

Cool drinks and neat premise, but the yelp post looked like it was a restaurant. It is really a bar that also has appetizers. They were good, but just making sure you know!

Mercury is always a great spot while downtown! I have stopped in here a few times now, and recently went with a group of coworkers. The couch areas are the perfect spot to sit with a group so that everyone is able to chat, and the dividers between these areas make it feel a bit more private. The smaller tables and the bar also make this the perfect spot for date night or getting together with a friend. Starting in November, they go all out with the Christmas decor and have great Christmas-themed drinks. I ordered the Killer Fruitcake drink, which was delicious! My coworkers ordered other drinks and really enjoyed theirs as well! We ordered a few appetizers to share, and I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts and the chips and guacamole! They change the drink menu pretty often, which is nice to keep it fresh and try the new things they make up because the drinks are always great. I will definitely be back during the Christmas season to try some more of these drinks, and I can't wait to come back and try their new menu after!

Love the vibes in this place but I will say that the food and drinks are not what I expected. Great For groups and photos although the rest was downhill. I ordered cheese board that was like two types of cheeses on a regular plate.. no presentation at all. The cheese fondue was just a cheese dip, again no presentation. Just cheese and bread Crab cakes were super salty and nobody liked any of the different drinks we ordered.

The Mercury always delivers...The changing (and often humorously themed) roster of cocktails (including mocktails) is the reason to go, but they're relatively short food menu is high quality. I had their Cuban sandwich, which departed a bit from the classic (tipping a step towards pulled pork), but was absolutely delicious.

Ambiance made for a good night out. The place was decked out for Christmas and the drink menu had very creative and fun holiday themed drinks. The service was excellent as the servers were super helpful and recommended some favorites to try. Had a great time visiting Omaha and would definitely go back to this place next time in town.

The staff were very nice and polite. The drinks were made correctly and tasted great I had a whiskey sour and my friend had a dirty martini. We were also there to have something to eat. They no longer have appetizers or dinner menu. Take notice that the positive reviews are mostly about the food that they used to have. They have a "snack" menu. We ordered the charcuterie board. The charcuterie was the worst I have ever had. It literally had slices of white bread that had been heated slightly (I'm guessing a few seconds in a microwave). The two meats on the board were just ordinary (prosciutto an salami). The cheese assortment was ok. We will not return. The place next door seemed a lot cooler!

The holiday decorations pulled us in, but the friendly environment and servers kept us for a couple drinks. The bartender made Nate a custom Smokey mezcal drink, which he loved. They have good prices and update a cocktail drink menu often.

Mercury is back, Omaha! Granted it wasn't gone all that long, but since when has the saying ever been "only a really long absence makes the heart grow fonder"? Exactly. Huge, amazing, crazy good shout-out to the staff for helping make our anniversary fun. I arranged some secret-handshake drinks in advance and Andrew and crew delivered in spades. So happy Mercury was happy to play along! A delicious take on the Last Word had my wife swooning and an equally nice take on a Mezcal Margarita made me lean into that swoon. Granted I would have anyway, because mmmmm, but it really was tasty. We then all played around with recipes (hello Laphroaig) and ... what a night. Plus, do you know any other bar with a Cocktail-O-Matic? I'll save you the time: no. You don't. But Mercury has it. So in addition to the incredibly friendly, fun bar staff who will help you with any drink you can think of, or just want them to think of, there's also a retro machine that will spit out a recipe for you. Read that again. Go to machine, push button pull lever etc., receive random but awesome cocktail recipe in your hands. So easy, so dangerous, so good. Which brings us full circle to the beginning: Mercury is back, Omaha! Get there.

Horrible experience , was treated badly by someone at entrance not busy no lines or wait list and turned us away We only had six in our group and tuned us away had 3 bar seats open we wanted to just stand at bar and said look around do we look like we have 6 seats for you and turned us away literally waved and said goodbye , said we don't care and kept waving goodbye when we were trying to order and support their business could have made money and we're so rude and horrible we left and went to green room and they were kind and welcomed us to their bar unlike the gross horrible experience of Mercury for their "pop up" avoid this bar at all costs do not go WORST BAR

This spot was such an experience- I felt like I was walking into the 1970s! The atmosphere is beyond! I opted to try the "mystery drink" which is a wonderful concept- but the execution was rough. There is a vintage vending machine in the back corner. The server will give you a coin, you select a spot and an empty shooter bottle with a rolled up cocktail recipe comes out- take it to the bar and viola! You have yourself a mystery drink! Unfortunately for my group, the vending machine was acting up and all 3 drinks were difficult to choke down- but that is on us for choosing the mystery. The staff seemed generally annoyed by our table and we received better service once approaching the bar. It was at the bar that I learned about their many vegan food options- which was great to know for the future! I will definitely be back as the general aesthetic was really fun and hope to have a better experience!

It is definitely a cute date spot that's for sure! Everything is more on the pricey side, but it was all super yummy. My friend has hummus and I got mac n cheese. Our server was super polite and had great style, I felt a little rushed- but I take awhile to pick. Overall would come again, with just a bit more cash in pocket.

My friends and I went to Mercury last night for cocktails and we did NOT regret it! The atmosphere was so fun and I absolutely loved that the menu was printed on a cereal box. The service was a 10/10 and the waiter we had came to check on us regularly. I personally got the fairy nectar beers but my friends got vodka/tequila cocktails and they all loved it !! We also got a buncha apps: hummus, Brussel sprouts, and guacamole. They were all such good bar food and great to have with our drinks. Restrooms were also very clean and maintained well. The place itself was very busy, we went around 8pm or so and stayed till 10! Would definitely come again for drinks with a friend.

The holiday vibes were on point at Mercury this season! I stopped in one evening to check out the holiday cocktail menu and decor. It was so cute and the drinks were great. Friendly staff too. I can't wait to go back and try the food and whatever their next creative menu will be!
