Lovely boutique hotel, steps from the theaters. Sure, the rooms are a bit snug, but they're well appointed and comfortable, with great AC - a must for the summer. What really sets this hotel apart is the hospitality: friendly and warm. Kudos to Sebastian, Cameron, and Nelson for their great service, relaxed and efficient. Front desk staff, too (sorry I didn't note her name). Excellent little restaurant and bar to fortify yourself before you step back outside. We'll surely return.

My husband and I were going to a play that day and decided to have a cocktail somewhere around its location. We happened upon Merrion Row hotel and publicHouse and were delighted to find such a hidden gem! It was so clean and tucked back in the back was a delightful bar and restaurant. It was small and intimate, and our servers were so fun to be with and so personable! I would like to give a shout out to them, Sebastian and Shona. We had a few cocktails and split a hamburger which was delicious and noticed the people around us ordering some beautiful food! Whenever we’re back in New York and go to a Broadway play, we will make sure to go back to this wonderful little hidden gem!

A quick trip to NYC - 36 hours for a couple shows and related fun - and can't imagine a better spot to rest our heads than we found at Merrion Row. First off, the location cannot be beat - perfect access to theaters and Rockefeller Ctr and the park were an easy walk. Inside, it has a wonderfully intimate, old-time feel with fully modern comforts and a design that feels both fresh and timeless. The hospitality was warm and welcoming right from the start (looking at you manager Shona!) and on-site food and bev offerings were excellent. I booked directly with the hotel and got an excellent rate. Can't wait to return to this oasis!

I hate to be as glowing as this place deserves because I don’t want it to become TOO popular, but the truth must be told!!!! This hotel is just so wonderful. Location is perfect right in the heart of Broadway but when you come thru the door it’s like a hidden oasis into another world. Staff is very friendly, quaint restaurant/bar is perfect if you just want a quiet bite and don’t want to fight the crowds (and all food and drink we had was delightful). Room was clean, comfy, very well appointed bath, great size for NYC. Just stay here you won’t regret it!!!!!

The pillows were the best pillows I’ve ever slept on. Bed was really comfy and staff were great!! I enjoyed my breakfast which came with my favourtive coffee - which I was quite shocked by!! Receptionist were super helpful all I can say is I’d definitely recommend it !!

Google
Fantastic New York City hotel a block from Times Square with plenty of options nearby for everything you could possibly imagine big apple. Paul at the front desk was exceptionally accommodating with my arrival in my room happened to be ready, so he let me in. Very short, walk to multiple Subway stations to get anywhere you want to go in the city. I stayed in a queen room, which was of course New York City small hotel room, but the bathroom had ample space considering and for the price it could not be beaten. They have larger rooms available though for an up charge. Mattress is comfortable, which is something I always look for, while traveling to give myself restorative sleep for days like I had walking almost 11 miles in the course of one day. I only had one meal at the restaurant, but I would skip it if I had a choice again as the pork sausage was less than the best, and the oatmeal was more like soup being super runny.

Google
What a great boutique hotel find just off Times Square. I come yearly with my mother who has mobility issues, which makes needing to stay central essential. This hotel is a half block from the craziness but convenient to all. The rooms are well appointed and spacious by NYC standards. The biggest thing lacking was some storage. The restaurant downstairs is also consistent, good quality, and not horribly priced! Would definitely stay here again!

Merrion Row Hotel and Public House is a hidden gem in the heart of Time Square. We were in town for an event on Broadway and wanted to be close without the craziness of some of the huge hotels in the area. We booked based on reviews and boy did we find an amazing place. It is truly a public house and hotel. The ground floor is the best little bar and restaurant with amazing food. With all the restaurants around us we ate three meals at the hotel because it was so good. Our rooms were quaint and wonderfully decorated with all the amenities we needed. Exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. As amazing as this hotel is, the staff is so much better. From the second we arrived it was all about what we needed to make our stay perfect. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and truly interested in us. Each member of the team were enthusiastic about making our trip enjoyable. If you are looking for a wonderfully personal and comfortable stay near Broadway, you can't go wrong with the Merrion. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
After hearing the advertisement for the hotel on Midwest Radio from Ireland, I thought this was worth a try. I was absolutely right. This quaint hotel in the Theater District of NYC reminds me so much of the other hotels I've stayed in the West of Ireland. The staff is very friendly, and the food options are so good (and so affordable compared to other NYC places) that there is little reason to leave. Bernie, the owner, is one of the nicest and most earnest of folk I've met in this city. While this may not be the fanciest hotel in New York, what good are airs and graces when you don't feel welcome? This may be my base of future stays in NYC. CHEERS!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night before a show. Very pleasantly surprised by a food. That was a combination of affordable and delicious. A very rare find in Manhattan. I had the flame mignon, which I was surprised was 8 ounces instead of the usual six. I asked for it medium rare, and it came out medium well... But the quality of the piece of meat was so good. I didn't mind too much that it was slightly overcooked. My friend had the fish and chips basket. I thought there could've been another piece of cod in there, but he said it was plenty for him. The Royal Dome was underwhelming, especially when shared by two people. I would advise going with something else. We also had two cocktails, which were delightful. The service was attentive and helpful. We ate "outside" on the window covered patio, which had a nice vibe thanks to the decorative globe light strung overhead. In the end, would definitely come back here again for dinner before a show.

Yelp
Very nice spot in a hotel in midtown that is great for a casual lunch or dinner. We went on a Sunday early evening after watching a show at Carnegie Hall. It wasn't very busy and it was on the quieter end as well with the music volume not being very high. We had a pulsd deal which was a great value and the food was delicious.

Anne L.

Yelp
Extremely kind staff and excellent food. I will be coming back next year for sure! The only thing to keep in mind is that this hotel is near Times Square so there will be street noise. I could also hear people coming back to their rooms, but that didn't bother me. The bathroom was large and the room was nicely decorated.

Shrina S.

Yelp
Overall the food and drinks were really good. The drinks were strong and worth the price. The steak was a little dry but everything else was great. The server was friendly and quick. The restaurant is pretty big, cool vibes.

Nadia A.

Yelp
I found this restaurant using the Pulsd app before going to a Broadway show with my coworkers. The restaurant is in a hotel and kind small and we happen to go on a day work events were happening. With the deal with got a drink each and starter to share, entree each and a dessert to share as wel. The food was amazing , the server was attentive as possible but main entree took a while since they had the events and we kinda had to rush to make it to our show. We didn't have time to enjoy our dessert and had to have it the next day but it still tasted amazing. I definitely enjoy their food just wished it was a more calmer night service would have been faster if it wasn't for that.

Yelp
I came here on a weeknight for dinner with my partner and was pleasantly surprised with our overall experience! Upon entering you are in a hallway lined with glass on one side showing a private room in the front that seemed to be in use for a work holiday celebration. At the end of the hallway you end up at an unfortunate crossroads where people are checking into the hotel and you have to squeeze by to get to the restaurant. Once you've made it past the doorway you are greeted with a cozy dimly lit bar filled with an after-work drinks crowd followed by a bright atrium in the back where my partner and I were seated. The furniture and decor are tasteful, however I found the atrium to be a bit cold and perhaps a touch too brightly lit for nighttime. Our server was quick to take our orders and get us anything we needed, even went back down to the kitchen when he noticed my entree came out before my partner's. Cocktails came out tasting well balanced and not too strong or weak. I had the burrata as a starter and it was hands down one of the best burratas I've ever eaten in the city! Super creamy and the bread served with it was perfection! For an entree I chose a warm grain bowl and it came out as expected except they forgot to leave out the beets as I had requested, but that wasn't a big deal at all to me. Overall I'll definitely be back, they had so many great options on the menu and I bet brunch is great here as well!

Marie T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a restaurant that's not too big, with great ambiance and good food then this is your place. I've only been here for lunch with my colleagues, but I love the vibe. Both times that I was there, we were seated in an bright area in the back that gives you an atrium feel. You can hold a conversation without yelling, so it's great for a business lunch. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, from the crab cake sandwich, club sandwich and even the salads. I have no complaint. It's our go to place for lunch. My manager mentioned that the breakfast is also good. One of these days, I'll try the happy hour out.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Love this bright cheery diner for a quick bite before heading into out for the day. Service is quick and friendly! Food is good. Ask Sebastian for his delicious mocha cappuccino when you come in. Delicious!

Keegan S.

Yelp
Amazing service, atmosphere, and drinks!! No one beats the Irish in hospitality! Thank you!!

Kaela A.

Yelp
What a cute little place! We caught a Saturday matinee in Mid-town. The unfortunate truth is it's he's to find a reasonably priced but nice place to eat that's close to Grand Central. So glad we found it. This fabulous little pub is charming and quiet with grey service and fantastic food. Everything we ordered was exceptional. Definitely a go to the next time we catch a show!

Fragolina L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night with my date and we were both highly impressed by the food, ambiance, and service. This is a very relaxed atmosphere with a touch of elegance. The food is made to order with the best of ingredients. There are quite a few healthy selections which is quite considerate of those who typically eat healthy, or for those individuals who may suffer from diabetes or high cholesterol. Definitely recommend this restaurant for groups, singles, and couples!

Yelp
We were in New York for a few days on our way back to California from Lisbon. My wife set us up for three nights at the Merrion Row, and it turned out to be a great place to stay. Plusses: There were many of these. The location is great, right off of Times Square. (And despite this, the place was dead quiet.) The bed was very comfy with nice pillows and bedding. The bathroom was a good size with a luxurious shower. Wifi connection was good - my wife did a Zoom webinar from the room. The hotel has a bar and restaurant onsite, and these are both good establishments. We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant and the quality of the food was high. There's an Irish theme, so they offer Irish brown bread, Irish bacon, and a couple of other items along those lines. Everything we had was excellent. The bar was great as well, with some very nice cocktails available. What really set this place apart, though, was the service. Everyone we encountered, from the night clerk to the manager to the waitstaff were very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Special shout out to Sebastian in the restaurant. Really a nice guy and a solid pro. Minuses: Nothing to speak of. The room was small and mostly taken up by the bed and desk, but that's par for the course for Manhattan hotels that don't cost $1000+ a night. Summary: Great location, good value, quiet comfy room, good bar/restaurant, first-rate service. We will be back. Mike sez check it out!

Dylan L.

Yelp
The scallops, spinach artichoke dip, meaty wings, and that blue sour was good as and the dessert was plentiful!!

Matthew P.

Yelp
Waited 45 minutes after ordering for our main course. Finally cancelled and left. The mediterranean flat bread appetizer was delicious.

Yelp
Hotel is great!! When I come back to NYC, I plan to stay here again. The staff is personable and the food is delicious. Great vibes

Yelp
A lovely refuge in the middle of Time Square. Such a welcoming hotel with style and kind, helpful staff. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Vivian W.

Yelp
This was great for what I was looking for. It was conveniently located in midtown for my meetings, and was clean and had super cute decor with character. My room came with a credit for food in the pub, which was also very charming with a fully enclosed patio. I had oatmeal and a latte so I can't speak to the food, but the pub is also well decorated and the service was very friendly and courteous, just like the hotel receptionist was. Just to set expectations, there is no lobby to speak of, the hallway to the pub is also where you stand awkwardly checking in, and the rooms are NY-small, but this wasn't an issue for me as a solo traveler.

Frank T.

Yelp
Updating review... had lunch here today at noon. The "radio" station was pumped in from Ireland and no joke was 20 MINUTES OF DEATH AND FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS. Come on guys, all for the authenticity of a public house, but none of us need the names of the deceased, which hospice to donate to in their names, nor the church and times in Ireland where services are being held. It made me understand why perhaps this place is so dead during the lunch rush time. Also, at noon is when the cleaner decided to vacuum the welcome mats outside blocking both doors to the people who actually stopped to glance at the menu. Beautiful place. I walk by this here a million times but never knew about it since the scaffolding makes this place disappear. Inside is absolutely gorgeous. Clean and new, just opened in December. Menu is very fairly priced and food looks fantastic. Not sure why this place is still a secret, they are good! Only issue is the music is mostly commercials! Seems they are pip some Irish radio station

Sandy H.

Yelp
We loved our stay! The bar and restaurant is great, and Sebastian was the best server and bartender.

Tyler C.

Yelp
It's easy to overlook, but once you step inside and through to the dining room in back, the glass overhead provides a wash of natural light to accompany the imaginative and delicious selections. Service was terrific, and the management is personable and attentive. We were seated immediately. By all means, visit before it's discovered and you have to wait for a table.

Yelp
I had a great stay at this boutique hotel a few weeks ago. The staff were especially nice and helpful, even though they are busy people running an establishment. The location worked out well for exploring by foot in NYC. I would return based on the warm and welcoming staff alone.

Tabetha C.

Yelp
Quiet oasis in the middle of hustle and bustle of the city. Food is great, place is impeccable, but the shining star is Dean. Definitely recommend

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
You could be forgiven for walking by this hotel without seeing it. But for those who do, and step inside, it is an oasis of calm. It is so quiet here one could forget that we are a mere block away from Times Square. The staff are all professional and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are comfortable. The shower/bathrooms are well laid out. The restaurant served perfectly plated and delicious food. The Continental Breakfast was just right with copious amounts a coffee or tea. I'm certainly looking forward to returning again soon.

Rita V.

Yelp
I have NO clue where to even START with this review. Few places impress me with the force this place has. For MANY reasons. Up until this visit, the only place that has me making a "home away from home" destination has been the Captain David Kelly House in Centerville, MA. They are unsurpassed for comfort, cleanliness and human soul (if that were ever a category)... But to find a place in A GIGANTIC city like NY? IN THE THEATRE DISTRICT? COME ON! It's a unicorn, right? Hardly. This is a petite boutique hotel with a heart the size of Godzilla on steroids. Among so many giant hotels. Once a hostel, the owners and a mind-blowing team of dedicated staff gutted this place to the studs and created a cozy little piece of life that is incredibly comforting in the middle of hustle and bustle. Flanked by the hotel owners many vibrant and PACKED Irish pubs is this little thing of joy. For starters, we were greeted by Troy who is simply a master in customer relations and care, hospitality and overall a super loving, charming and caring professional. His knowledge and attention to detail and loyalty and deep caring for this little piece of heaven is so thick, you can slice it and serve it on a silver platter. Brian, one of the many exquisite bartenders... ahhhhh what an Irish Coffee can this guy deliver. Simply beautiful. Same for Patrick, and the many other staff members who are HAPPY truly HAPPY to serve you, keep the place IMMACULATE and deliver delicious food and service that is unsurpassed. I have stayed at RITZ CARLTON that can't deliver what this beautiful and cozy little welcoming joint can. And I wish I weren't gushing because if you all flock to it, and I can't find a room there, a block and some change from Time Square and everything theatre, I will have to go back and ruin my review to keep all you vultures hungry for a piece of GREATNESS cramping what has become my new digs in NYC on a theatre-date weekend. I can't say enough about the people, the food, the ambiance, the room comfort. It's tiny, under 30 rooms. And with little nooks and crannies to enjoy a delightful cup of coffee and a perfect croissant. Or enjoy the Irish breakfast. Or those PERFECT, STUPID PERFECT BREAKFAST POTATOES I'm still craving. Something so simple yet so perfect. Fish and chips? Best you will have, seriously. Great service is always a reflection of a great leader. Hug Reina for me. She deserves a high 150 for creating a staff that is as welcoming, caring and happy as the dwelling she oversees. I CAN'T STOP GUSHING!

Laura B.

Yelp
We had a large group and we were looking for a place to accommodate us on a busy Sunday of a holiday weekend. They were PERFECT. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was comfortable and the service was excellent. The food was delicious. I really loved the beer hummus appetizer but the burratta and the shepherds pie empanada were also delicious. I had the crabcake sandwich which was light and not greasy but a generously sized crab cake Patty. Several in the group had the shepherds pie entree and they all are every bite. My sister's fresh salad with salmon also looked delicious. They even had the most delicious macaroons in several flavors. The establishment was pristine, too. Just beautiful and clean as could be inside. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to eat in the Times Square or Midtown. Check it out!

Kate F.

Yelp
I actually don't want to write a review for this place. It is one of the best hotels I've stayed at here in NY. To put things into perspective, I've stayed at The Pierre, Lotte, Club Quarters, Roommate Grace, etc. The staff and the service they provide is top notch. It's clear they want to do everything they can to make your stay the very best. Complimentary drink, continental breakfast are included in the resort fee. The restaurant is fantastic! We had the salmon, burrata and the pretty kitty cocktail- all fabulous! The rooms are so comfortable, so clean and roomy. The beds are fabulous. So yes, I hope you don't read this so I never have to worry about getting a reservation in the future. Not a single complaint!

Jane V.

Yelp
So we stayed here the weekend of December 15th, and I believe they just opened the first of December, so everything was new and clean. I wanted to stay at a boutique hotel in walking distance to Time Square for the holidays and Merrion Row Hotel showed up in my search. I loved their decor - the dark blue colors and brass/gold accents - really work. Other than being near Time Square, it was also conveniently located next to an Irish pub as well as a 711 kind of shop next door for late night snacks. Another favorite part of our stay were the Irish bartenders in their Pub. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, as was all of the staff at the hotel. The only downsides we experienced were really the small size of the rooms, which were expected, and as one of the other reviewers pointed out, the sharp edges of the bed frame, which were unfortunately noticeable (by our legs) because of the narrow space between the bed and the walls. We actually gave mentioned this issue to management and showed them the scrape in my husband's leg from from the bed corner as an FYI and they kindly reimbursed our valet parking fee for the trouble :) Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the beautiful and convenient location of Merrion Row Hotel and recommend it! And hopefully they take any customer complaints into consideration...

Yelp
We stayed here in Dec 2018, so this review is a bit dated. BUT: - During our stay, we were PAMPERED. The staff is so friendly - they gave us great recommendations for things to do and were very attentive. Very dedicated to their jobs and to making sure that guests have a great experience. I specifically remember that the doorman was the nicest man I've ever met in my entire life. - The room itself was very small, but it's NYC so that's normal. The interior was recently renovated and very classy. Hardwood floors, cute decor, etc. Probably one of the cutest hotels in NYC! And in a very convenient location as well. As for the restaurant, we popped in for breakfast one morning and were equally delighted with our experience!! - It was relatively empty, so we were seated and served right away. Our waiter was very friendly and answered all our questions! - The restaurant interior is gorgeous. There's a skylight, so it's very bright and open. Modern looking as well. Very inviting. A bit small, so not great for large groups, but it wasn't too loud so we were able to chat easily. - The food was SOMETHING ELSE. I got the avocado toast - it came with a poached egg, tomatoes, and micro greens. The bread was so fresh... very fluffy and perfectly warmed. The avocado was plentiful, very lemony, and perfectly creamy. Poached egg was runny just like it should be. I tried 3 different avocado toasts during my visit in NYC, and this was my favorite (huge achievement). - Prices were a bit high, but considering this is a hotel restaurant in NYC, we were expecting this. For the quality, what we paid was very reasonable. - One of our favorite meals while in NYC, and it was honestly great to have a relaxing breakfast at our hotel too! Thank you for an incredible stay!! Cannot wait to come back next time we are in NYC, for both the hotel and the food!!

A N.

Yelp
We have executives stay here as it is a convenient location close to our offices by station or walking from Midtown Manhattan. Nice rooms and good service. On a special note, my company hosted a group dinner for 30 plus guests at their inhouse restaurant, Public House, and I want to give a shoutout specifically to Aoife and Reina, our event managers. At the last second, they accomodated our 30+ guests and ensured we were properly staffed with our food preferences...even helped with our champagne toast! The restaurant itself has a fun/lively ambiance, is tastefully decorated, and our party found their food/drinks amazing. We have continued to have business dinners there and are always pleased with this level of servce - especially in midtown Manhattan!

Barb W.

Yelp
Had breakfast here. Lovely, bright breakfast room with delicious coffee. Two of our party had the lemon ricotta pancakes which they enjoyed. The portions were small, however. I had the bagel with chive cream cheese and lox which was very good.

J Z.

Yelp
Bad experience. We arrived on time for our breakfast reservation for 10 people. They were not expecting us, did not even check for a reservation The hostess did not seat us, just kind of waived us into the bar. The restaurant was almost empty, only maybe two small tables occupied. There was one very nice waiter named Jack, but he was overwhelmed. He then directed us back past the hostess to the front of the restaurant. We were seated in a empty room with very nice atmosphere and style. But then just kind of left there. After about 15 minutes our order was taken. After 25 minutes we were served bottles of tap water and no glasses to drink from. We asked for glasses, non were given. I was about to leave but after 40 minutes we started to receive our drinks (coffee, tea, juice, and a couple of mimosas) the drinks came out two at a time with several minutes in between. They forgot 4 of the drinks entirely. Our food began to come out about 45 minutes after we ordered. The food was cold, one order was wrong, and several items were missing. One order came 15 minutes later (oatmeal). It's a lovely place, but our experience was awful. The waiter was apologetic but the hostess and another guy who worked there and sat at the bar seemed extremely disinterested.

Yelp
Truly an amazing experience, for once I found a hotel I didn't want to leave. We were treated so well from check in to check out that I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when next visiting New York. The food was terrific, the beers on tap excellent and the staff made you feel like family.

Toni B.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this hotel. First things first the staff was AMAZING each and everyone there gave my husband and myself the utmost sincere assistance and courtesy. The rooms were immaculate and the daily cleaning service was completed unseen and done quickly as we left the room. The location a few minutes from Times Square but nestled like a diamond in the rough. Both bartenders were from Ireland OMG couldn't have wrote it better. I'm ashamed I didn't remember each and every front desk employee all 3 men were amazing. They offered great suggestions for things to do in the city even setting up our car service for 4:30 am to JFK :( The food definitely superb and presented well, NOT typical hotel food. The hotel manager Reina was the icing on the cake. In the middle of NYC she took the time and really talked to us while enjoying our drinks at the bar. The do's the dont's and where to go. This hotel was simply amazing and I would be crazy not to book here again. Thanks for the amazing time!!!!!!!!

Kerri M.

Yelp
Checking out of this hotel today, I did something I have never done before: book my next vacation at the same hotel before I even left. The hotel, not even a year old, is designed with understated, tailored, Irish-inspired details that make it feel like a trip away within a trip away. Walking in off bustling Times Square, beautiful marble, wood, linen and brass is featured throughout the 1920s structure. The artwork and even some of the music highlight some of the rich Irish culture. Our room, while it was small, featured crown molding, crisp white linens, was immaculate, and sooo quiet. The spacious bathroom had great natural light and was almost the size of the sleeping area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by name by Joseph--right away personable in a big city. We enjoyed complimentary drinks in the bar and conversed with our bartender John about his Irish homeland. At breakfast, the staff was welcoming and efficient. Holly and Sammy served us a great hot breakfast with Irish tea. The potatoes --served with the Irish bacon and eggs really stood out--creamy and perfectly seasoned, like no breakfast potatoes we had had before. Before we left, we met Mark, the manager, and as we complimented his hotel and staff, he proudly offered his assistance with anything while we were in town. Beginning to end, this stylish boutique hotel offered personalized hospitality at its best--making it all the more unique in midtown Manhattan, guaranteeing a return stay from us!

Jay R. R.

Yelp
I wish I can give it 10 stars! Every detail in this hotel is to perfection. From the entrance to elevator. Stairwell to your room floor. This hotel went under a renovation... and it sure did pay out! Friendly staff from front desk to bellman. Only a block away from Times Square... so walking around was not an issue. Hope to be back soon...

Hannah R.

Yelp
My fiancé and I stayed here last winter and have been dreaming to go back ever since. The location was perfect, the service was impeccable and we had an amazing breakfast every morning at their restaurant. Unfortunately since COVID I don't think we will be going this year but we've already made plans to make this our yearly Christmas vacation stay!

Yelp
Made a 10 pm dinner reservation on Open Table, showed up at 950 pm on the appointed night, and was told the kitchen had closed for the night. I asked why they would even book a 10 pm reservation if they weren't planning to be open, and they just shrugged as if to say, "Tough luck!" So I headed off in the rain.

Yelp
Food: delicious. Atmosphere: lovely. Only reason for 4 stars-- my meal was taken away and discarded while I was in the restroom. I had barely had 1/4 of my meal. I was not compensated the way I had hoped... I was brought out a dessert in its place. I had wanted a meal, not something sweet. I would return/recommend without hesitation.

Yelp
Loved this little boutique hotel! My husband and I came to NYC for a short visit and we were looking for something close to Times Square. This little gem was super close by, but the moment you walked in the doors, it was a calm oasis. The good: - Everything is brand new - The staff were very accommodating when we arrived early. Even though our room wasn't ready, they stored our luggage and even moved it to our room as soon as it was ready. - The welcome [free] pints were greatly appreciated, as was free breakfast, which was a nice surprise we weren't expecting - Loved the lounge area to relax in between activities - Excellent wifi The bad: - The room was a bit small, but not unexpected [this is NYC...] - The walls aren't exactly sound-proof [read: not at all] so you can hear an angry child wailing early in the morning

Yelp
The restaurant doesn't look like much when you walk past, but once you walk in the vibes are great. when you walk to the back there is a big skylight/sunroom that is beautiful. and the food is just as great. the short rib sliders are ‼ tasty and they are very underrated. come check them out it'll be worth it!

Yelp
This is probably my newest favorite hotel. Great place to stay.. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and actually went out of their way to give us a discount for our stay... I love this place.. right in the middle of the action, but still quite and serene.

Yelp
HORRIBLE HOTEL! We stayed here in December 2018 with 5 rooms on a 2 night business trip. The staff was very friendly and kind, thats where the good stopped. The hotel infrastructure and facilities are terrible! Here are the problems: 1) the walls are paper thin. You will hear EVERYTHING your neighbor says or does. I was subjected to 5 hours of an extremely vulgar and offensive encounter with two people that just met on Tinder. If you are here for business, 5 hours of this crap from 1AM-6AM is the LAST thing you want. 2) Anytime anyone takes a shower, in any room, it sounds like there is a motorcycle in the pipes/walls. 3) the LED panel that controls the heating does not work and is also the size of a bright ipad pointed directly at the bed. good luck sleeping with that pointed at your face. 4) the "Closet system", which is a freestanding tower of wood and metal has the safe on the bottom drawer, but its not bolted down to the round. I nearly toppled it in the small room, it would kill a small child if it fell. 5) the beds have super sharp edges on the wood corners. Tight room, night time, go to the bathroom, gash open your shin... awesome! 6) Any person walking or talking in the hallway or in any room, get ready to hear and be part of their conversation. Not one minute of peace!! We stay in dozes of business travel rooms a year, trust me I know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Yelp
Great food. Cool small and casual atmosphere. Back room is bright and comfortable. Service was excellent as well.

Yelp
This place is truly a gem in NYC! I would never, ever, EVER think that I would have enjoyed a stay in a Times Square hotel, but this is truly an oasis despite being located in the middle of everything. Particularly good location for theater buffs. Shockingly quiet for its location. Not great for large groups or people who need tremendous amounts of space, but perfect for my wife and I who were in town sans kids for a quick Birthday trip. But the most important benefit of this hotel is its staff. Franc and Joseph in the front are consummate pros. Every question or request was answered and fulfilled immediately and perfectly. Even things not requested were anticipated - we had left the "do not disturb" sign on our door while we were out. When we came back, there was a bag hanging on our door with extra towels and toiletries explaining that while they wished to honor our DND request, they didn't want us to be without fresh supplies. I (okay, really my wife) enjoyed a delightful little birthday macaron plate mentioned in other reviews. We got extra pillows and another suitcase valet stand with a smile and only minutes after the request. Our bartender Hugh in the associated Public House was quick, accommodating, friendly, and massively entertaining. The young lady whose name I never got, who served us breakfast a couple times, was super friendly and efficient. In short, we had an amazing time at Merrion Row. It was one of the finest service oriented establishments at which we have stayed, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Glad I chose this Hotel. Excellent staff that go out of their way to make your stay a great one. The place is within its first year of being open and everything is new. Reigna, the front end manager is so sweet and does her job well. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Found this place on the internet. It seemed a bit pricey, but the description made me curious. Such a small hotel, 28 room s if i recall it correctly. It is close to Time Square, theaters and restaurants. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted. Staff went over our reservation, informing me that the resort fee included 2 pints or glasses of wine in their bar or restaurant. It also included continental breakfast for both nights of our stay . If you prefer to order from the breakfast menu, they will offer a discount in lieu of the continental breakfast. Suddenly this place is becoming less expensive. Our room was immaculate. A welcome note on the edge of the bed with chocolates. On the desk was a plate with a greeting in chocolate greeting us along with some french macaroons. Room was very comfortable. We had dinner in their restaurant, a small glassed in room at the back of the building. It has great ambiance and very cozy. Food is amazing. Well above what you might expect to find at a hotel restaurant. Hotel and restaurant have earned an excellent rating. I know that they will keep that rating and become a destination point on NYC for both the hotel and restaurant, You NEED to visit this place it will greatly improve your stay in NYC.

Yelp
Just a one night visit so this was a perfect place to stay. Great staff. Great location in Times Square. Beds extremely comfortable and strong shower. Nice tv and relatively quiet hotel. Recently opened so a few kinks to work out but overall a great stay.

Yelp
We had a great lunch at the pub here! Delicious food, attentive wait staff, and great decor. We will be back!
