The 15 Best Vegan Restaurants in Paris, France - Eater

"Tucked away in the trendy Hoy Hotel, Mesa serves a vegan menu developed by Lauren Lovatt and Carolina Rodriguez, plant-based chefs and founders of the Plant Academy in London. Inspired by the kitchens of Latin America, Mesa is open from breakfast to dinner, serving dishes made mostly with organic seasonal produce from small farmers in the Île-de-France, the region surrounding Paris. The menu evolves regularly but could include tacos stuffed with avocado, salad, and smoked mushrooms; crispy cauliflower fried with buckwheat; and tortelloni with vegan ricotta and pickled lemons. Desserts are excellent, including vegan dulce de leche and others that include CBD." - Alexander Lobrano

Mesa is one of those places in Paris that instantly stands out — not because it tries too hard, but because everything about it feels considered, calming, and beautifully curated. If you are spending time around Rue des Martyrs and want a restaurant that blends plant-based cuisine with warm hospitality and exceptional interior design, Mesa is absolutely worth a visit. The space itself is stunning. Every detail, from the natural stone textures to the soft, warm lighting and handcrafted ceramic cups, creates a peaceful atmosphere that makes you slow down the moment you sit. The interior mixes Scandinavian minimalism with organic materials — wood, stone, dried flowers, handmade plates — giving the restaurant a refined yet comfortable feel. Even the sink area and the arrangement of rolled towels feel like something out of a boutique spa. The long bar counter is beautifully designed and keeps the space lively without being noisy. At the back, there is a more intimate dining area with a big communal wooden table, shelves of natural wines, and carefully placed decor. The entire space is full of character but never cluttered. This balance is rare in Paris and immediately elevates the experience. Service is warm, gentle, and professional. The staff moves with calm efficiency, and even during busy hours they manage to keep a relaxed atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome to stay, talk, think, or work. The coffee is excellent — served in artisanal ceramic cups that match the aesthetics of the room. Smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. The smoothie I tried (“Sunshine Smoothie”) was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the location. Mesa is also connected to a floral concept area with fresh and dried flowers, natural fragrances, and botanical elements. It creates a feeling that the café is part-restaurant, part-lifestyle space — a quiet corner where you can appreciate design, nature, and good food at the same time. Whether you come for breakfast, a quiet coffee, lunch, or even to work a bit, Mesa delivers an experience that feels intentional and calming. It’s one of the most beautifully designed plant-based restaurants in Paris, and the atmosphere alone makes it worth a stop. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined, peaceful, design-driven spot in the heart of the city.

The cozy atmosphere and friendly service really stood out during our dinner at Mesa! The food was nice as well (special mention to the cacio e pepe, pakhora and banana bread). However, we found the price a bit too expensive of the food compared to the quality of the food (in the end mostly simple ingredients used for the recipes)

A stunning, peaceful setting with warm and welcoming service. Don’t come “for a plant-based experience” — come for the food. Period. Flavors are bold, inventive, and proudly Mediterranean-Middle Eastern. It’s delicious. Full stop. Only drawback? Some dishes are surprisingly heavy and oily, which takes away from the freshness you’d expect. Still worth it.

Beautiful place. Good staff. The food was beautifully presented but it was bland. We love a good vegan meal and this was not it. Maybe we should have ordered from the sweet menu.

We had such a wonderful dinner at mesa de HOY. The chilled blanc wine the server recommended was simply amazing. We both thoroughly enjoyed the crunch of the broccoli with the tasty sauce, so good. The pasta was very good but the pasta itself seemed a bit bland, like it was missing some spice to make the great presentation complete. The tacos, on the other hand, were flavor perfection. Ask for a bit more of the salsa, it’s glorious. Our dessert was extravagant and delicious. This place is proof positive that vegan food can be exciting and fulfilling. The staff were so friendly and warm. We really had a great experience and highly recommend mesa de HOY.

The interior is very sophisticated, and the staff service was excellent. Both the cakes and drinks were superb. I was impressed by the attentive and meticulous care from the staff. It’s also great that many people are working on their laptops here, so you can work without feeling self-conscious.
