"Chef Elena Reygadas's Rosetta is a perennial favorite, packed with a crowd that comes here for creative cooking that is decidedly Mexican but is inflected with global influences. Dishes are designed for sharing, ideal for those who want to sample more of her ingenious creations like the cabbage tacos with two small rounds of Savoy cabbage, served warm with pistachio puree and romeritos. Blending interesting flavors and textures, this dish is a great play on expectations and its different shades of green are visually arresting. A sweet potato tamal over toasted pumpkin seeds with a buttermilk sauce and salsa macha is equal parts sweet and savory. Honey jelly, cut into perfect cubes and served with a quenelle of brown butter ice cream and vanilla sauce, is an exquisite ending." - Michelin Inspector

Rosetta Review - Roma - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"Rosetta is a beautiful restaurant inside a townhouse in , with a menu that’s predominantly Italian with a Mexican twist. Expect things like pillowy ricotta-stuffed ravioli swimming in a creamy lemon sauce, and tagliatelle punched up with some chile de árbol. Our favorite time to be here is lunch when the room fills with light, but if you’re traveling with a significant other and looking for a romantic night out, dinner at Rosetta should be at the top of your list. Yelp
For a 1-star Michelin, Rosetta was very worth! (After the peso to USD conversion, we paid ~$60pp, family style of a plethora of dishes). The food was pretty good, though found their drink game to be weak -- don't recommend their drinks. Service was fairly average. They were able to seat a party of 6ppl (I had to email them ahead of time and submit a deposit), a plus in my book for the group size accommodation. And they have an a la carte option, allowing flexibility for the group. Highlight of the meal: gnocchi -- wow! Best gnocchi I've ever had, so soft it melted in my mouth. A must try!

Yelp
I had high expectations for Rosetta as it's ranked on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list and has 1 Michelin star. However, my partner and I were sorely disappointed with our entire experience. This was my birthday dinner and I really wished it was better. The service was very rushed and we could tell that the servers were trying to get the tables in and out as fast as they could. The food was honestly just bad and the presentation for each dish was mediocre. We ordered the following: Pork shoulder: 0/5 We hated this. The pork was extremely salty and very chewy. Lobster ravioli: 1/5 Not much lobster on the dish, and the ravioli was very basic. I've had better ravioli from Trader Joe's. Persimmon: 3/5 This was decent..but only because the persimmon tasted good. Beef tongue risotto: 2/5 Very meh. Had the consistency of jambalaya and didn't have much flavor. I was expecting a creamier risotto. They brought out a corn dessert for my birthday which was a nice gesture, but I really did not enjoy it since it was overly sweet. Although the ambiance is pretty, I don't understand why they have a Michelin star. We heard both of the tables around us also discussing how poor the service was and how they didn't enjoy the food.

Yelp
Great tasty food with unusual dishes. We liked the food and service. Attentive and quick. Reservation is recommended.

Yelp
Absolutely Michelin star! We had one of the best dinners. The starters were everything. The little cabbage tacos were so flavorful the harvest bread with the chocolate sea salt and ants butter was divine. We enjoyed so many things I had to Sea Bass so tender and delicious. We ordered their special margarita with floral sense it was delicious and fresh , the whole experience was amazing. I will be back to dine again very very soon.

Yelp
We came to Rosetta for dinner on our second night in the city. We had an 8pm reservation and because of traffic/rain we got there on time by the skin of our teeth! The restaurant itself is very beautiful and has a wonderful ambiance and live greenery aesthetic. The bathroom was equally well designed and was equipped with le labo hand soap. Service was quick and helpful with our server making several suggestions that we ended up loving. Our favorite dishes were the savoy cabbage tacos, tagliatelle with Italian sausage and the risotto with esquites. For my main I ordered the vegetarian artichoke dish and my husband ordered the short rib. We were incredibly happy with both. For dessert our table shared the melipona honey jelly and the poached pears. None of us were really fans of the poached pears or the tarragon ice cream but we really loved the brown butter ice cream on the honey dessert. Overall we had an excellent experience and really enjoyed the food, cocktails, ambiance and service.

Yelp
I can see why this restaurant earned its Michelin rating! The service, food, and ambiance were outstanding. For my appetizer, I had the tamales, followed by the Tagliatelle for my main course, and finished with the Melipona honey jelly paired with brown butter ice cream for dessert. Every dish was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend dining here!

Yelp
I was recommended by a few friends to try this restaurant out as it is "highly rated" despite it being a Michelin restaurant I was very underwhelmed. I loved the aesthetics, the food presentation and service but the food was very basic. I honestly wouldn't add it to my list of places to try.

Yelp
Stopped by for some quick lunch appetizers and drinks. My experience here is very limited but it was pleasant. We had no complaints but also weren't blown away by the food, as the portion sizes weren't the biggest.

Yelp
Ambiance is 10/10 The restaurant is beautiful and holds a perfect example of what to expect in Roma Norte. 10/10 Clean Welcomed by numerous staff members. Very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Waiter was very friendly. Bass! Bass! Bass! Sea Bass was the highlight of the meal! It was cooked to perfection and I was in love with the guava puree. I would come back here for the sea bass. As for the pappardelle, chicken liver was cooked perfectly. Perfectly executed but the bass is just more memorable.

Yelp
5 stars when considering price, probably only 4 without thinking about cost. While this was a lovely dining experience, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. We were seated after our reservation time and didn't find the service particularly impressive. The restaurant itself is gorgeous though - I loved the plants cascading from the ceiling. For food - some dishes were great, others were just alright. The bread appetizer came with the most unique butter - slightly sweet and vaguely chocolate-y, covered in crispy ants. The salad was nothing special. Best part of the meal was the sea bass - it was finished table side and was some of the most tender fish I've had, served over both raw and cooked greens. To finish, our favorite dessert was the chocolate topped with some crunchy leaf (?), but weren't super impressed by the ice cream/jelly combo.

Yelp
Beautiful tasteful restaurant you must visit once. But not twice for my opinion. A bit touristy. Some tourists were there and spoke so loud. Prices are pretty high. Hard to make a reservation. Food is pretty good as they are beqitiful and good aa they are all very original and good creation but... not sure if I want to come back often. High end original restaurants in mex city give me all same impressions. I know their plates are all precious but not sure super tasty to come back again. Rosetta has beautiful setting and impressive. Very cute restaurant.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this restaurant as it is well renowned and has a Michelin star. We got reservations late at night, but when we arrived the restaurant was very busy and lovely. The service throughout the evening was definitely a highlight. Very attentive servers - it felt like they were almost watching you waiting until you needed something. I was unfortunately not impressed by the food. We started with bread and butter and the bread was cold so although the butter was creamy, it was hard to spread. Although butter with and sounds cool and we were excited to try it, I felt as though the ants took away from tasting actual like butter, and I did not like the flavor that it produced. Next, we had the endive salad, which was disappointing because the taste of vanilla extract took over my senses entirely so it was hard to enjoy. Next was the pasta which was cooked very well, but it had a filling that to me. Also taste like vanilla extract, which was very odd. Our favorite meal of the night was the pig. It had delicious flavor. Unfortunately, the side of mole was not prepared as I would've liked. Ultimately I'm glad we tried it out because the service and experience and environment were very nice, but the food didn't deliver for me.

Yelp
Got a lunch reservation here during a work trip so I could try this one star Michelin spot, and I'm so happy I did! I had eaten at a couple spots before this that were just ok, so I was hoping for a great meal and my expectations were met. Everyone I encountered here was extremely friendly, and the host/my server both spoke English which I was grateful for because my Spanish is not good. I ordered the shrimp aspic with crab, the pappardelle with chicken livers and sage, and the sea bass. I probably could've gotten away with just 2 dishes since I was dining solo, but I wanted to try as many dishes as I could fit in my stomach. My favorite of the 3 was the pappardelle with chicken livers, and I don't even love chicken liver. The flavor and richness of the sauce with the pasta was so good though! Highly recommend. The entire vibe and look of the restaurant is just so cute and green! So many live plants everywhere. Great ambiance! Highly recommend if you're in CDMX.

Yelp
Rosetta was a very highly recommended restaurant and although the atmosphere was amazing, the food was not memorable for a Michelin Star restaurant. The service was great and attentive.

Yelp
The food was amazing from start to finish! The service was impeccable and our waiter was attentive and kind. We were seated outside and the twinkling lights made for the perfect evening.

Yelp
Que magnficiente! This place deserves all the accolades it deserves and more. Yes the prices are on the higher the side and the portions on the smaller but you really are paying for the quality, presentation and creativity. Art doesn't have a price. I recommend going heavy on the apps and pasta dishes as those really stood out to me. Also, be sure to save room for dessert. We ordered two and they were both in the top one percent of desserts I've ever consumed in terms of both taste and presentation. The tamarind, chili corn purée desert in a corn husk is incredible and packs a punch. The tamales were mouth watering, probably the best I will ever have and the pistachio purée wrapped cabbage leaf had a really interesting texture. The service is great, friendly and knowledgeable - able to give good recommendations and just say the generic "everything is good" . Space is cute, inviting and romantic. The plants and details on the wall are an added bonus for a date night or a birthday celebration.

Yelp
Probably in the top 3 meals we had in CDMX! This is a Michelin restaurant and husband really wanted to dine here. I made a reservation at least a month in advance to be able to dine here. We started with drinks at the bar upstairs, so pretty! We sat by the window for our drinks. Shortly, one of the hosts let us know that our table was ready and we headed to the hall on the lower level. The ambiance here is so romantic with the dim lights and wallpapers. Very soothing to the eyes! We started with the mango tamarind appetiser along with the crab and shrimp jelly- I know it sounds so weird but trust me they were so exclusive and the flavours went so well together. I got the tamale for mains and my husband got the taglioni pasta - both extraordinary! Portion size was perfect! We finished our meal with the Criollo dessert and that was one of a kind!!! The service and food here are top notch. My only complaint is the music - I expect soft music when I'm dining in such a setting and wouldn't want to listen to Cardi B!

Yelp
The cocktails were not memorable for me at all. However, that was some of the best damn gnocchi I've eaten. It literally melted in my mouth. Wasn't chewy like store bought gnocchi. The meat in the dish was so tender. I really enjoyed that meal. The restaurant is very dark. I wished there were a little more lighting. But it's beautifully decorated. I wouldn't necessarily run back but it was nice.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous interior and a nice exterior too. Amazing service and friendly people. The menu was great, enough options but not too many to overwhelm. Def the pricer end of spots of course but could be worth it for a nice occasion. The food was really good but didn't blow me away, very much enjoyed it though

Yelp
We got extremely lucky and somehow managed to have the most beautiful dinner at Rosetta on our last night in Mexico City with no reservation. They just so happened to have a vacant table on their beautiful outdoor terrace and this was the perfect last dining experience. Their globally inspired Italian fare was phenomenal. We loved and devoured every dish we ordered and standouts were the pappardelle and sea bass. Their team is extremely attentive providing amazing hospitality through our entire meal. Being outside with live music, the ambiance was so romantic and magical. I'm ecstatic we got to try this place during our visit and I highly recommend this spot for any foodie's itinerary!

Yelp
Michelin star deserved! Every dish we ordered left us speechless. Flavors were unique and powerful, I've never had such deliciousness, it's the best meal I've ever had and that is a bold statement for someone who is a foodie! Even something as simple as pears were so refreshing and prepared so delicately and exquisitely tasting. It was very hard to make reservations so book in advance. It's a small place but ambiance was rustic and friendly.

Yelp
Amazing everything!!! Food is so unique and delicious. Each dish is fire but the lettuce tacos were CRAZY! My favorite by far. Service was very good and they did a great job of recommending drinks that we might enjoy! Ambiance is so cute and I loved the vibe they were able to curate from the moment we sat down. Def for a group as large as ours (8 ppl) I would recommend ordering 2 of everything you want to try!

Yelp
#49 restaurant in the world per the world's 50 best list. Mexican restaurant with a bit of Italian influence. Reservation highly recommended. A la carte menu for lunch. Arrived to a beautiful entrance and walked in to an even more beautiful restaurant. Restaurant seems built out of a mansion. White walls with plants everywhere and vibrant table settings. Very cozy, bright, naturey, and homey. Service was causal, friendly, and attentive. Ordered an array of dishes to share and enjoy with my partner. Elote lemonade - incredibly refreshing lemonade with fresh corn Rye sourdough and chicatana ant butter - bread was amazing. Butter made from ants with flakey salt on top. Savory. Beet tartare al pastor - actually misread the menu and thought it said beef. However, the meets were still delicious. Vibrant and deep red, super fresh but also savory. Green mole and quelite tamal - hyper flavorful, vibrant green mole Pappardelle, chicken liver and sage - best liver I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and the pappardelle was al dente. Pork shoulder, tejocote puree, and mustard - tender savory pork shoulder paired with sweet tejocote, which is a hawthorn fruit. One of my favorite meals from Mexico City that's reasonably priced for a world's 50 best.

Yelp
Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 4 Came here for dinner. Overall solid meal and would definitely recommend. Was ranked #49 on the 2023 World's 50 Best list and #34 on the 2024 list. White mole and fermented carrots, 330 ~3/5. Interesting combination and nice plating, although it was probably my least favorite dish of the night. Savoy cabbage tacos with romeritos and pistachio pipián $270 ~4/5. Pretty presentation and an interesting mix of flavors. Tagliatelle with Italian sausage and chile de árbol, $430 ~4/5. Delicious. Nice and meaty with some perfectly cooked tagliatelle pasta. My favorite dish of the meal. Hoja santa and white bean cacao criollo, $310 ~3/5. Interesting dessert. Hoja santa is a Mexico pepperleaf herb used in many Mexican dishes, and the plating was quite pretty. Service was great. Tip: you can order some of the dishes as half-portions - ask them which ones.

Yelp
Definitely a favorite for us. Must go to in Mexico City. Great atmosphere and fantastic food, In a gorgeous setting. Definitely make a reservation in advance.

Yelp
Rosetta in Mexico City offers fantastic fresh Italian cuisine--truly some of the best I've had. The ambiance is stunning, with greenery exuding from real trees growing inside the restaurant, creating a unique and serene atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by the staff, who seemed to be rushing us throughout the meal, even though it was a special birthday celebration. While the food and setting were exceptional, the service could have been more accommodating to match the occasion.
google avatar

Natasha B.

Yelp
Okay food, okay service, lovely ambience. The good: corn tamale with truffle, tagliatelle, potato gnocchi with lamb. The dessert- was some pieces of jello and ice cream but the flavor was amazing. Not so good: sea bass, corn broth dish.
google avatar

Tim O.

Yelp
Fantastic value, one of the prettiest restaurant settings imaginable, genuinely exciting menu. Portion sizes can vary--I ordered the lamb entree which was a bit small for me even when coupled with a starter and pasta dish. A group of four could cover most of the menu.
google avatar

Najwa G.

Yelp
Albeit Rosetta has gotten a lot of praise, it fell short for me. The food seemed lackluster to me and lacked any association with Mexican culture. I understand that it is supposed to be a fusion of Mexican and Italian food but it seemed to miss the mark on both cuisine types for me. I tried two different types of tamales and they were both average at both and lacked flavor. The fish we ordered was good but at an incredibly small portion. The only thing that stood out to me was the mango dish and it's hard not to love mangos from Mexico. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but everyone's experience is different.
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
Another amazing meal. I had no business ordering all the things I got when I did a tasting menu earlier that day at the restaurant right next-door. Seeing as they're number 49 in the top 50 best restaurant in the world you do need a reservation to eat here. I was able to score one at the last minute. Their customer service is astounding. I got there right on time for my 10pm reservation, but my table wasn't ready yet, so I was let upstairs to the bar where I proceeded to get a little too litty. Those drinks were so damn good. I ended up being given a table for four, which honestly ended up being perfect since I ate like there was more than one of me. Despite how good it was, I left the bread alone because I wanted to make sure I had enough room in my system for all the foods. I started with the beet tartare. My goodness the light crunch it had was just perfect. That was followed by the pasta then the fish. I ended with the meringue because there was no way I wasn't going to have dessert. I think I had 4 cocktails. I was feeling good. I do wish they offered a tasting menu. Mostly because I'm lazy and prefer a chef's table experience. They did however exceed all my expectations. The service was on point. I was well attended to. In conclusion, I had an asian glow by the time I left. The ride back to my hotel was so fun. I was full and thankful.

Yelp
Great tasting and creative dishes. I was blown away by an amazing black currant porter from Estonia. Definitely coming back here next time visiting Mexico City.

Yelp
First off before i start the review i would like to just say i would give them 20.4 stars if i could. Starting off we walked over to this glamorous mansion that has been renovated into a restaurant. I would say to reserve earlier in the process because this restaurant is A+mazing and is very popular. lets head over to the food . What i got at Rosetta was the Tagliatelle, Italian sausage and chile arbor. I have never tried this thing at rosetta so when I first took a bite of the delicious trio i realized that rosetta is the BEST place to get pasta in CDMX . I was expecting the sausage to be cut into pieces like pepperoni is , but instead of that i was amazed to see that it was actually shredded which is a very glamorous and beautiful way to do it so i don't know why those people gave rosetta 1-2 but whatever it is there're wrong. My dad got the Sea bass in Sea Salt w/ Herbs and Samphire. when they brought it to us they got one of those makeshift tables and placed it in front of our table and when I saw that they were pulling out a spoon i didn't know what to expect . And I was even more surprised when they stabbed the two of the corners of baked packet, then they started stabbing the edges of the packet. I didn't know that I was gonna see one of the most glamorous cooking techniques in my whole life, Then again I'm only 9. They opened the packet and revealed the sea bass just like pearls in a seashell in Disney movies. The Sea bass was cooked perfectly wasn't in pieces; it was perfectly preserved inside of the packet . My dad cut off a piece and put it on to my plate , I cut the fish into 3 pieces and devoured it. It was one of the best fish i ever have eaten. It was savory but also juicy and it had a crispy crust. My mom had the Jerusalem artichokes with spicy molé. it didn't look like a lot of food but it was a perfect portion size. The artichokes were cooked till they were tender so it really brought out the nutty flavor. The mole was rich and spicy at the same time; it was the perfect combo. the whole thing was balanced by some steamed vegetables. the price range at rosetta is $$$$. michelin star deserved !!!!!!! highly recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience at Rosetta. The services was attentive and provided a high quality experience. We tried every appetizer and a couple of desserts and everything was tasteful and presented well. Really cool ambiance in this unique and classy building. Definitely a must try.

Yelp
I really quite enjoyed the Mexican leaning Italian cuisine, with some other global influences thrown in for good measure, at this uber-stylish and ultra-vibey spot in the epicenter of arguably too-cool Roma Norte, the hub of expat-Mexico City hipsterdom. As much as the astonishingly wide range of incredible authentic Mexican cuisines of all varieties should be the primary focus of one's culinary tours here, sometimes, especially for someone with as Irish a stomach tract as mine, needs a bit of a break from all the intense spices and flavor profiles. Much praise has been given to the signature dish of tagliatelle with a classic red sauce given a delightful Mexican twist by the infusion of the delectably spicy Chile de árbol, and it did not disappoint, and was the unanimous favorite of the numerous pastas our table sampled. Said pastas, while maybe a bit on the stiff side in terms of consistency, even to die hard Al Dente heads like myself (take into account our table was comprised completely of native New Yorkers so are standards for pasta are relatively sky high) it was more than made up for by the vibrant flavors on all of the sauces blanketing them, namely the savory duck ragu and delightfully pungent chicken liver sauce. The other contender for the favorite course of the night was the seemingly relatively straightforward Mexican appetizer of a delectable and delicate white corn tamale, topped with a white cream sauce that I guess gave a bit of Euro influence. It was closely matched in deliciousness by a perfectly prepared red snapper with chayote (which I found to be one of the most surprisingly delightful additions to a great many delicious entrees I sampled across the city) coriander and the ancient pre-hispanic delicacy known as Sekil Pak, basically a creamy pipita sauce. The most challenging dish, but certainly delicious in its most cerebral way, was also the most classic French leaning, a savory aspic gelatin app of Shrimp and Avocado, which might be a bit much to neophytes but would certainly please any foodie with a taste for the more esoteric. While I was very grateful that we were able to secure a lovely outdoor table while walking in a prime dinner time after a very stressful day of flight delays, I couldn't help but be jealous of diners who were lucky enough to dine inside the gorgeously and impeccably stylishly renovated interior of the classic and refined space, perfectly befitting its location in the literal heart of the upscale epicenter of the city's hippest hood. While I'm not sure if the place is quite worthy of it's ranking on the worlds 50 best list, I can surely recommend it to anyone in the area whose looking for a delightful break for the more standard Mexican fare with delicious food and beyond impeccable vibes.

Yelp
Restaurante Rosetta is currently the No. 49 best restaurant on The World's 50 Best list, and currently the No. 36 best restaurant on Latin America's 50 Best list. This was my second visit and similar to my previous visit. Food is okay. Some items are hit or miss. Service is lacking. Some of the girls working the front door are rude and standoffish...restaurant is beautiful. The raviolis are delicious, and both desserts were super tasty. Other than that...not too impressive.
google avatar

Afs T.

Yelp
The only negative experience I had in cdmx was at Rosetta. I honestly can't believe this place has a Michelin rating- it was the most mediocre food. However, below average food would not be enough to entice me to leave a review. The service was HORRIBLE. Before we were even in the restaurant we were given attitude for standing at the wrong side of the door. Why not politely point us in the right direction? After paying the bill we were told to leave right away. Mind you we finished our dinner in less than an hour so it made no sense why we were rushed out. They are straight out rude. Definitely NOT a Michelin experience. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Nerissa T.

Yelp
Hate to say this but being on the 50 best restaurant list, we had some high expectations. We've previously also dined at Quintonil and Pujol so could be why we were a little bit underwhelmed. We came on a Friday night and had the choice of sitting indoors or outdoors which was nice. We opted for the patio seating since it was less crowded. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, has a lot of greenery, and quite intimate. I can see it being a good spot for couples/date night. As for the food, we kind of just picked whatever sounded good to us. The white mole and beef short rib were probably the favorites of what we ordered. The pasta dishes were average, have had better elsewhere. Our meal was fine but nothing was truly memorable. We're glad that we tried it but we probably wouldn't come back.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Unfortunately had to cancel our lunch reservation here so no review on the majority of the food, but we stopped back in to enjoy drinks and desserts in the upstairs bar (did not have to wait). Overall - ok. We tried four different cocktails, but none stood out. We ordered the hoja santa croquetas, which we didn't finish - was expecting a rich and warm fried croqueta, but this was room temperature and basically a hoja santa pesto rice inside. We tried four of the desserts, which were all fun and unique. Favorite was the avocado sorbet with plums
google avatar

Courtney E.

Yelp
The service here was not great for a Michelin star restaurant. From the snappy hostess to the wait staff that described nothing they served or provided any suggestions. This was a huge turnoff. Food was decent. Pork shoulder and Tomatillo salad were both delicious, our favorite dishes. But to be honest we were so disappointed with the service, I don't think we would come back here.

Yelp
Had lunch here while in CDMX. This restaurant is a must visit if you're in the area The sea bass is incredible, so was the tagliatelle with huitlacoche. Service is amazing, love the decor as well!

Yelp
While I don't want to completely dog on this place, I'm not sure it deserves the hype that it receives. We had the Tamales de elote con apionabo y crema ahumada and they were simply okay. The sauce was good but it was just like a corn tamale, nothing special. You could get something better on the street. Next we split the Tagliatelle con salchicha italiana y chile de árbol. A pasta with a basic red sauce -- I could easily make this at home! The best dish of the night was the Codornices con farro y duraznos (quail with farro and peaches). It definitely wasn't life changing but it was a good dish. The quail was yummy. Overall the atmosphere is awesome and the service was great but the food just really didn't live up to the hype.
google avatar

Liz N.

Yelp
This was the worst place we ate at in Mexico City. Not sure what all the hype is, but there are so many other good places to eat at in Mexico City. We started off with the bread and butter. It was pretty standard. It didn't stand out to me and they stopped putting ants in the butter. The menu changes seasonally but we started off with the tamale with mole sauce. The tamale was ok. The mole sauce was good. For our entrees, we got the pappardelle with chicken liver and sage. The chicken liver was basically chunks of it on top of the pappardelle so it had a very strong liver flavor which was very offputting. We also got a corn ravioli which was cooked in a mushroom broth and we were not fans of that at all. We ordered the pork with pink mole. The pork was cooked well but I wasn't a fan of the pink mole. It had a bitter aftertaste. The service was ok and the restaurant was cute, but the food fell very flat for us. There's so many other good places to eat at in Mexico City!

Yelp
I recently embarked on a culinary adventure at Rosetta in Mexico City, accompanied by my partner. The warm June evening set the scene for what turned out to be an absolutely memorable experience, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds and heart. Seated in the upstairs portion, the cozy ambiance was slightly tempered by the heat. However, the accommodating staff later offered us a seat closer to the window, allowing us to relish the cool breeze and savor the rest of the meal with much comfort. The menu at Rosetta was a delightful journey of flavors, and we couldn't resist trying a variety of dishes. Among the gastronomic wonders, a few stood out with unparalleled taste and creativity. The Tamales de elote y crema ahumada took me by surprise. Its smoky, creamy texture and captivating depth of flavor were nothing short of extraordinary. The entrees were a masterpiece in their own right, each showcasing a harmonious blend of tastes and textures that left me spellbound throughout the meal. But it was the dessert selection that truly blew me away. From the Mamey, pixtle, and taxcalate fusion that delighted my senses, to the Hoja santa and criollo white bean cacao that struck a perfect balance between sweet and savory, each bite was a revelation. The Lavender tres leches cake served as a fitting grand finale, with its sponge infused with lavender and soaked in the indulgent tres leches - a pure delight. The service at Rosetta was impeccable. The staff was attentive and well-informed, guiding me through the menu and ensuring my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, Rosetta is a culinary haven that beautifully captures the essence of Mexican cuisine with a creative twist. My partner and I had an unforgettable evening, and I'm already looking forward to returning to Rosetta to explore more of their extraordinary culinary delights. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a special occasion, Rosetta promises an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the art of gastronomy in every way.

Yelp
This place has great pastries and food. Unfortunately service is super slow and the waiting list is ridiculous because Rosetta doesn't limit tables to a 45 min stay. We saw two ladies sitting at a 4 seater table sipping on one coffee for 90 mins. Totally irrational. Rosetta needs to make changes. I was here with my in-laws who are well in their 80's and there wasn't any consideration to accommodate them. We won't come back or recommend.

Yelp
***The World's 50 Best Restaurants (2023): #49*** Our last dinner in Mexico City was at Rosetta, and it ended up being one of my favorites. The decor/ambience was top notch, and the service was great, as well. To eat, we ordered the Tomatillo, Vegetable Minestrone, Black Tagliolini and Octopus, and Sea Bass. Each dish was excellent. If I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be the Black Tagliolini. Looking for a nice dinner spot in Mexico City? Rosetta is a fantastic option.

Yelp
We went to Rosetta with high expectations given the hype. Was a bit disappointing. We sat outside and started with decent cocktails (except they couldn't make an aperol spritz for some reason). The cabbage taco was outstanding, the other apps were average. The pork shoulder was a small portion of tough meat. Pastas were just OK. Overall, not a memorable but expensive experience for all the Michelin star hype.

Yelp
The dining experience was phenomenal. The food was beautiful and flavorful, but not overly complex. The service was so responsive and quick. And the dining area is such a beautiful courtyard garden area. Would absolutely go again.

Yelp
Fancy-ish food with great ambiance, drinks, and fantastic service!! The wait here can be long, without a reservation, we had about a 1.5 hour wait but they can text you when it's ready and also there's a bar upstairs where you can get drinks while you wait. I love the historic architecture of the restaurant and the patio area is great for groups. We sat outside, ordered an array of things and bottles of wine. The scallops are DELISH, although I will say quite small. We loved the squid pasta and the beet risotto was one of my favorites. The sea bass came out in a steaming hot pocket that looked like huge ravioli! I almost wished they left the shell just to get a taste but it was probably more for show and not for flavor. The whole experience was great for our group of 6!

Yelp
Wow! I can see why this place is frequented by celebrities including Harry Styles and Dua Lipa! Rosetta certainly earned its Michelin star - the service here was unmatched as the wait staff was very attentive. We sat outside and were given the best smelling bug spray as it was a humid night out. The food was delicious - the sweetbreads were one of the best I've ever had - so tender and tasty! If you're looking for a fancy night out with amazing food, service and ambiance - look no further!
