The Best Bakeries In Philadelphia

"This Rittenhouse icon started the city’s French bakery trend way back in ‘93. But it gets bragging rights for more than just its age—Metropolitan makes the city’s best canelé. Even if you’re just popping in for a baguette, get one of these caramelized little guys with a custardy center, and grab an airy almond croissant, too. The 19th Street location has an adjacent cafe that sells blistered thin-crust pizzas and sandwiches made with their incredible bread. There's also a stand at Reading Terminal Market where you can grab a sour cherry chocolate chip cookie after a roast pork sandwich." - candis mclean, alison kessler

"Divine Breads at one of Philadelphia's Top Bakeries Since 1993, Philadelphians Wendy Born and James Barrett have shown a deft hand in the kitchens of their multi-location Metropolitan Bakery. Artisanal breads – able to rival any venerated loaf from Europe– are their claim to fame but their cookies, cakes, croissants and locally-sourced jams and spreads are equally as divine. They have several locations in Philadelphia , including my favorite in Chestnut Hill a bit further afield, but consistency is assured in each outpost. You can also expect to see the duo's vision (and baked goods) played out at FARMiCiA, the organic/local restaurant they co-own in Old City. If you have a hankering for something sweet, don't leave without picking up one of their toothsome chocolate chip cookies (or a few)."

Where to Buy the Best Bread in Philly - Eater Philly

"Opened in 1993, Metropolitan Bakery perhaps holds the title of grand dame of Philadelphia artisanal bread shops. It still lovingly churns out a multiplicity of loaves — from raisin nut to organic spelt — and all of them are great. You’ll find these loaves at their Rittenhouse Square and University City locations but also all over the city at a range of cafes." - Dayna Evans, Sarah Maiellano

Dog-Friendly Restaurants and Bars in Philly - Eater Philly

"Metropolitan Bakery is a favorite among two-legged Philadelphians and their four-legged friends, thanks to cheap treats (just 70 cents each) shaped like dog bones. Pet parents will be happy to know the treats are all natural and made with flour, seeds, garlic, bacon fat, sea salt, and egg." - Sarah Maiellano

Google
So cute! Wish this place would have sitting areas as it has a lovely vibe and the coffees are wonderful. Tried the raspberry crumb bar and I highly recommend it (it was a little sweet so beware). Today I’m trying the chocolate flourless cake. The chocolate layer cake has also been recommended by local friends :)

Everyone was so nice!!! It was reasonably priced and tasted so good! I got the midnight brownie and rosemary focaccia and it was honestly the best focaccia I've had in this city. I will definitely be coming back.

Google
Service was phenomenal! The lady that helped us was friendly ❤️. We had drip coffee and chocolate croissants. So delicious, airy and flakey. Highly recommend -- all their baked goods looked beautiful.

Google
Little bakery with homemade bakery. Fast service. Coffee is decent. Cakes sold full or by half only, I wish they could sell slices only. I had the bread pudding and it was a little dry and too much cinnamon.

Google
Great bread and sandwiches. Workers were sweet and attentive. I had some random questions about sourdough and bulk shopping, and they spent 15 min giving me advice and websites to go to. Very nice experience!

Google
I pulled something in my neck trying to eat the sandwich a whole. Taste wise 4.67/5 sandy, ratio felt a lil off, would appreciate more sauce, but appreciate the protein portion.💪🏻 No indoor seating

Google
Ordered a Prosciutto Baguette. Bread was extremely fresh, almost like it was just out of the oven. The sandwich had a nice touch of basil pesto, enough of arugula, and a good amount of prosciutto. Delicious and on point! Once again, can't recommend their bread enough!

Google
Everything we had here was amazing and truly authentic french bakery. Definitely stop by for lunch and try their special pizzas and sandwiches. You will feel city of brotherly love ❤️ Mushroom pizza was a hit!

Yelp
Placed an online order here for lunch just to try something new. The inside was clean and food came out very fast. We got a bacon egg and cheese with an iced coffee, caesar salad, and caesar wrap. Everything was delicious!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cute place to eat!

Yelp
If you love baked goods and all that is good in the world, you would make your way here lol. The pastries are delicious! The bread is on point, the pizza next door SLAPS, and the people are nice and helpful. The vibe is that of a rustic bakery. They haven't missed here for me. Come bless yourself and check this place out.

Yelp
My gosh the almond croissants are so flaky and good. They are super popular too. I came for almond croissants and the two people ahead of me ordered them too! I was glad I was able to get ahold of some before they sold out. Bakery products on the pricier side but if you're willing to shell out a few extra bucks, the quality of the bread is delicious. Line gets long but moved pretty quick. There is no seating inside.

Howard R.

Yelp
be careful to check your order. I orderd an Apple Pie for Thanksgiving and specifically asked the clerk to check to make sure I was getting the correct order. she said I was. when we opened the box, even though the receipt was correct, the pie was a Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie. not only had someone else brought a Pecan Pue, it was not very good. I won't be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The baked goods and breads here are absolutely delicious. I came on a Saturday afternoon and they still had many of their options available. Many people working here, they were waiting for me to place the order. We tried the pumpkin chocolate chip poundcake, kouign amman, and chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious. Expensive but it is in the heart of Rittenhouse square.

Yelp
Best Bakery by far. I have been buying cake etc for Ever. Not only is the cake and food delicious, the manner in which we are serviced is Outstanding.Bakers have come and gone however this owner has been mindful of prices and service. I have now purchase the BEST bagels ever. Sour dough outrageous, excellent chew and delicious long term. Try them and you will be hooked on this great bread.

Christie A.

Yelp
Great bakery. Fresh pastries and bread. Ridiculous that they charge for a paper bag. Disincentives customers from making large purchases. I also noticed the female staff getting snippy with customers lately. Very unappealing

Yelp
I remember the first time we had @metropolitanbakery was when we got their pizza kit ‍ It was super fun and they gave us the dough, cheese, pepperoni, and specific instructions to make it. Fantastic way to get fresh pizza without having to make the dough from scratch This time around, we ordered a nice lunch for takeaway and are at home with the family. Got the Margarita and mushroom pizzas then lamb chop, Caesar salad from @eatmarathon (they are right across from each other) Pizzas were nice and crispy packed with flavor but not too overwhelming. They have a nice thin crust , crispy Italian style, with a soft core that blended well with their homemade sauce. Best part is they always have really fresh ingredients. Mushroom comes with a garlic crema, thyme, scallion + belnd of mushrooms and cheeses. , super simple yet fresh & tasty @midwestmunching on Instagram for more

Yelp
Best Parisian bakery patisserie around. Just south of the square on 19th. Only thing that's missing is the letter "I" (it's spelled "Metropolitain" in Paris). (Jun '22, Masks required, please bring yours) BESTS (AS IN, DON'T MISS THESE) Do yourself a luxury, ask for a box, and get one of each of everything on display. You'll thank me for it. +++ Don't miss the sourdough demi. Crackles just like in Paris, and the crust will put callouses on roof of your mouth just like it's supposed to (workout for your jaw). Perfect savory-snack size for walk in the park or for your walk home. +++ Real French butter (rock salt style) from Normandy, available Fridays while supplies last. Seriously, this is the BEST BUTTER IN THE WORLD. ++ Fig bar. Think back. Remember your "fig newton" days as a kid? (with milk for dunking of course). Imagine THAT x100 and you'll be the rolls-your-eyes-back-in-your-head goodness of this wonderful creation. ++ Lemon bar. Perfect consistency, blend of tart and sweet, and the crust finishes its perfection. ++ Rose Lemonade. Anything made with rose is great, but paired with lemonade, it's the perfect cool treat. MORE * Pizzeria next door serving whole pizzas (not available by the slice, this isn't that kind of place) * Canneles, a bit dark for my taste * Croissants and Pain Chocolates on par with those found in France, outside Paris.

Yelp
This place bills itself online as dog friendly, but after I walked half a mile in the rain with my son and dog, they immediately made us take the dog outside. Only service dogs allowed (which is the case everywhere anyway). I told them it said they were dog friendly online, and they said they are, but dogs aren't allowed inside. Note that there is no outdoor seating. Um... just because a place sells dog biscuits, that doesn't automatically qualify them as dog friendly. My poor kid and dog had to stand outside in the rain in 39 degree weather while I put in the order for us. Then we had to walk back to the hotel in the now pouring rain. (It went from drizzling to full fledged raining on the way back.) Of course the bad weather is not their fault, but I never would have walked all the way over there if I had known they aren't actually dog friendly, especially when there were several other cafes right by our hotel. And the fact that they kicked us out so quickly even though the weather was bad really rubbed me the wrong way too. They could have at least let us stay for two minutes to get our order placed. I don't know. The whole ordeal was really disappointing and could have easily been avoided had they been more clear about their "dog friendly" policies. I feel very mislead. :(

Yelp
Oh - this place really is delicious. And to think I almost skipped my "must-go" choice because of lack of time! This visit (to the Café, not the take-out bakery), I got the avocado toast, which was SPECTACULAR, and a cappuccino. Avocado toast is a cliché, and I wouldn't say that the toppings here (the way the egg was cooked, or the arugula or the seasoning) were the star. But here, because this is an amazing bakery, the bread the toast was made with was so super-delicious, and so the effect of that with the really good avocado, and perfectly fine egg and radishes, was just really delicious. And the portion is really big - not some little baguette slice toast. The French toast is also lovely, and came with some perfectly ripe peach slices. My son loved the housemade passion-mango iced tea, and his currant-orange scone. Also the kitchen staff is awesome - fun to watch the guys' attention to detail as they made the toasts and other things. Only a few steps from Rittenhouse Square - and without taking anything away from Serpico, the avocado toast was as satisfying as anything I had there the night before. YUM.

Yelp
Strolled by a line one morning and figured we would test it out the next day. Worth the wait - loved their lattes and the FIG BARS! Wow. The chocolate chip muffin was moist and for a muffin... good. Bought a loaf of sourdough bread to take home which was a wise decision. We went back again the next day..........

Yelp
Kinda confusing with two locations next to each other. One has delicious baked bagels, breads and sweets. The other has sit down meals, but didn't open till noon so I couldn't try it.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are a baker this is a regular bakery but if you are craving a croissant or more difficult baking items- come here. And the gingerbread men are crispy. The blood orange yogurt cake was good- not something to rave about but decent.
google avatar

Donna C.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this place. It is beautiful. It made me feel like I was in France. I felt like Ina Garten would shop here. The croissant was decent but did not blow my mind. However, I am a croissant snob. It might be one of the top croissants in Philly but there are certainly better to be had in New York. I was going to get a plain chocolate chip cookie but the only options were choc chip walnut or choc chip CHERRY. Hubs doesn't love walnuts so decided to go wild and try the cherry. This was the right choice! Very much enjoyed this unique cookie. The dried cherries were plump and the best part. The cookie was sizeable and had a wonderfully chewy texture. It was a smidge too sweet for it to be the PERFECT cookie, but y'all should still try it. I now feel more bakeries should make a choc chip cherry. The lemon bar and brownie also looked really tempting; I'd like to try those.

Yelp
Always amazing! Always great staff. It's just a perfect spot to grab something and sit in the park

Yelp
I love this bakery. My favorite are the French berry rolls. I was in medical school when I used to go here and I had a really rough time in Philly, but this bakery was a beacon of happiness. I graduated in 2002 and I'm now back in California, but I still dream of the French berry rolls. Thank you for keeping me strong.

Yelp
Metropolitan is the best bakery in Rittenhouse. A large selection of Fresh breads (including brioche buns), sandwiches, desserts and more. The chicken salad sandwich may seem strange with ingredients like almonds and grapes mixed in, but it's good. Certainly better than I expected. The chocolate cake is a thick and tasty cake, the best thick chocolate cake I've had. I do wish they had a lighter cake option as well as that is my preferred style of cake. The apple pie is a delicious homemade apple pie. You cant go wrong bringing it to Thanksgiving dinner and claiming it as your own. The prices are a bit higher than other places, but it is Rittenhouse.

Yelp
I first chanced upon this spot when I was on a mission to find a chocolate croissant, and my intended destination was sold out of them. Metropolitan Bakery saved the day! I've gone for croissants and Chai one or two times since, and have it in mind to try some of their other delectables in time. Right now, I'm *kind* of obsessed with the kouign-amman. Oh the buttery, flaky and sugar-shellacked goodness!!!
google avatar

Retna S.

Yelp
Very small store so it's pretty hectic when it's crowded. Don't miss the day-old rack near the entrance for discounted items. I got canele and it's still good and chewy with a nice crust. I also got raisin challah for French toast.

Sue C.

Yelp
Metropolitan's cookies were served at a party I attended last evening. I tried the sour cherry sea salt. It was phenomenal and totally worth the diet destruction it caused!! My thighs hate me right now but my mouth loves me forever so I'm winning....as is Metropolitan. You must taste this cookie.....just the right amount of sweetness - perfection!!
google avatar

Yelp
Okay I've only been here once but I've tried to come back many times and they've been closed. But this place is awesome. I found it the first time because there was a farmers market at Rittenhouse square. It started pouring and we were starving! We dipped in here to get some warm lattes, sandwiches and to dry off. We ended up sitting outside under a roof watching the rain and drinking coffee. It was a lovely afternoon. One of my favorites in Philly.
google avatar

Yelp
buttery sugary heaven!! scrumptious cherry dark chocolate chip cookies, seasonal scones, moist citrus scented almond polenta cake... amazing baked goods goodness!!

Yelp
I ordered a Margarita pizza today, $15 for a small. It took a long time and it was the worst pizza I have ever had. While I was waiting, I could see the employee making it. She put a lot is sauce but very small amounts of mozzarella. Then she put it in an oven that was not hot enough to cool the pizza quickly. This caused the crust to be much rock on the edges and too soft in the rest of the pizza. The sauce was too sour and overwhelmed the cheese which was not a high quality mozzarella and had no flavor. If you charge $15 dollars for a margarita pizza, then send your employee to a proper pizza making class and use an oven that is heated properly. To make the whole experience even worse, even though there were 4 chairs in the store, they told us we couldn't sit!!!! I'm 72 years old and wear a mask at all times. The only positive thing can say about this place is that all the employees were wearing masks. After eating one slice each, we threw the rest of in the garbage.

Latinna H.

Yelp
So I just left this establishment and I feel violated and racially profiled from someone of my own kind (African American young lady) so rude and nasty to me and my guest. Treated us like we were getting on her nerves, rushed us threw the menu.. after everytime someone ordered before they finished she like "is that all" with attitude and eye roll. I heard many great complaints about Thai restaurant and I was bragging to my out of town guest ONLY TO GET treated like Crap. Not every person that dresses down comfortably is low budget or low income and that's how this young lady made me feel. Not to mention my food was cold my glass of water was like warm and when I asked for something different it was like I was only able to get a select few of items because she claimed they didn't have certain Items.

Yelp
Quant little spot near Rittenhouse. Everyone was really nice and the croissant were delicious. The offered to heat them up which you know means there legit. The chocolate croissant had a perfect smear of dark chocolate in there. It was all melts and the smooth texture lead to a perfect bite after the crunch from the actual Pastry. Almond one was also great. Toasted almonds and an amaretto spread on the inside. Not sure if that's what it's called but it was good. Excited to try there coffee next time. My girlfriend liked there Moroccan mint tea
google avatar

Alma C.

Yelp
Can't speak for the bread but everything I bought here was extremely mediocre. We had a midnight brownie, canelé, blondie, and pretzel. They all sucked, especially the midnight brownie, which had a flavor reminiscent of a Tootsie Roll. The only redeeming part is everything cost about $10 total so I didn't feel bad throwing it away after a few bites. Don't know if I caught it on a bad day especially since the bread and other product looked so beautiful, but this place is a pass for me. I honestly don't understand the good press for this place.
google avatar

Abhijeet M.

Yelp
I want to like this place because it looks nice, and I live only 4 blocks away. Sadly I have been here 4 times, and it has disappointed every time. So now I walk to places on the other side of Rittenhouse park. First two times I walked in here on Saturday/Sunday morning. I got a black coffee, an almond croissant, and a chocolate bread. Both pastries tasted stale, like they were baked over a day or two ago. The texture wasn't fluffy or crispy at all, rather had a soggy feel to it. The next two times my coffee order was messed up. I don't think a macciato sounds like a latte, no matter how you pronounce it. My girlfriend however swears by their Olive bread and Margarita pizza. So maybe they do better with the savories.
google avatar

Diana X.

Yelp
This review is for their bread, specifically the pumpernickel. I think it's probably the best I've had so far - rich and deep flavor, and you can taste the molasses and some cocoa undertones.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
This review is a bit late but I just had to give Metropolitan Cafe five stars as they have always been my favorite go-to spot when looking for a quick breakfast or coffee to start my day in Center City. I've tried several different items and have never been disappointed. I typically grab a frittata or baked goods but they have lots to choose from, especially if I'm not in a breakfast mood like salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc. They make a good chai latte as well. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There's some outdoor seats for when it's nice outside or if you want to bring a dog along. Not a ton of seating indoors but you can typically manage to find a seat if its just a small group. Definitely recommend to folks looking for a cozy, local cafe place! Great to dine in or take to go!
google avatar

Yelp
This bakery is reminded me like in Paris, small bakery and located in the corner street. The girls who work there were so nice. The croissants were so good, we loved it!

Yelp
Confessions of a carboholic Bread is my spirit animal and metropolitan bakery is my oasis. Oh my goodness. Crusty, warm delicious loaves in all shapes and sizes. I've had them all and San Francisco sourdough is my favorite. Get the herb butter (freshly made) from the fridge. You'll never have a better piece of toast than next day bread with herb butter. It's incredible. Tastes like a European vacation. I love everything about this place from the luxe Rittenhouse location to the rustic cozy interior and friendly staff. The bread will cost you some "dough", in the form of $5 and up per loaf. But hey, good stuff ain't cheap. You're worth it.

Lisa C.

Yelp
They sold overnight muffins. The blueberry muffin was dry, crumbly, and tasteless. I expected them to sell fresh baked goods
google avatar

Marisa A.

Yelp
The best bread you will ever have. My favorite is the multi-grain bread and olive bread. The staff is always so friendly and pleasant. I love coming to this bakery to get my family bread for any occasion
google avatar

Gillian C.

Yelp
First time there today, the sit in cafe was closed but the bakery next door was open. There's a fairly limited selection of pastries in just the bakery side but they all looked to be of high quality. The staff was very friendly and was eager for us to try a free sample of baguette with swiss cream. It was obvious by the first bite that it had all be made today. It was very tasty. The refrigerators were filled with gourmet food and drink, I noticed they had my favorite, very hard to find, rose lemonade. I ended up going for a piece of chocolate layer cake. At $5.95 a slice (including tax) I expected a lot out of this slice. They cut me a HUGE piece and I was eager to take my first bite. The cake was moist and the icing fudgey. It was not as flavorful or rich as I had hoped but it was still a quality slice of cake. If you like cake that isn't too rich but still chocolatey and moist, I would recommend it. But if you're looking for a dense and ultra flavorful cake, this is not the one for you. Next time I go I'm going to try one of the brownies and see how that goes. In terms of size, the bakery half is very small. They don't have seating inside, but there are a couple of benches out front which would be really nice in warm weather. It is also located so close to Rittenhouse that it doesn't even matter so much since there are so many nice places to sit around there. The cafe size is a different story though, I saw they would have a decent amount of seating when open.

Yelp
As I have been exploring more and more coffee shops around the city, I have found that MB is one of my favorites. It's a cozy cafe on a busy neighborhood but it stands out because it's so quiet. A lot of people appear to frequent it to do work or study. Personally, I find it a very good sport to do so. On both of my visits, I have gotten an almond milk cappuccino with a plain croissant. I have enjoyed both very much on each occasion. The cappuccino can get pricey as I request almond milk, but its size is also larger compared to other similar cafes around town. Since they're a bakery, the croissant didn't disappoint either. Very flaky as it's supposed to be. They'll ask you if you would like to have it warmed up. I think you should as it'll make this baked good yummier and tastier. Their customer service is on point. They'll serve you at your seat. Cafe is really neat and has bright lighting which is perfect for studying. I'm definitely going back to enjoy some of their other baked goods and maybe a meal as well.

Yelp
I came here based on reading a book about the top 100 things to do in Philadelphia before you die and the Metropolitan Bakery was #100. I tried a cinnamon roll, a bag of granola, and a cup of coffee. The highlight was the roll. The coffee was just okay (French roast). The granola was great (fresh) but I can't say it was the best I have ever had but well worth buying and I will try other flavors. Next time I go back I will try the pizza.
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Came here for a dessert fix. Cute shop but the sweets were disappointing. Had the sour cherry chocolate chip cookie and bread pudding. The cookie was tough and the bread pudding had an odd flavor to it. Not a favorite.
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
I should go here almost every day I work in the city! Usually I take soup and a pastry back to the office but it's so nice out on this early November day. Massive bowl of the freshest soup, a delectable pumpkin tart, coffee, and lots of slices of the freshest bread. Dawn and Drew are so nice. Metropolitan Café remains the best for bread, pies, cake, pastries, and now soups, salads, pizza and being classy on the Square.
google avatar

Yelp
Metropolitan is the the best bakery I've tried in Philadelphia. (Disclaimer: I have not yet been to Artisan Boulanger Pâtissier.) Its breads are mostly pretty good, nothing really wrong with them, just not the most flavorful and they never taste like they just came out of the oven. I'm not sure what their supply chain looks like, but I'm assuming they bake most of the breads elsewhere and bring them into the shop. However, their miche is their one really excellent bread. Miche is a miracle bread because it tastes delicious and lasts forever. It's mostly whole wheat with some rye, and you buy it in a quarter or half round because the loaves are so large. While other breads go stale in a day, I can leave miche out for four or five days and it's still good. To get it, you have to come to their bakery; while they sell some loaves in other stores, they sell the miche only in their shops. Metropolitan also has a variety of patisserie items, which are all delicious. They are one of the few bakers of canelés, my favorite afternoon snack, and they always sell out because there are apparently other Philadelphians who know of the hidden eggy goodness inside their homely exterior.

Yelp
The MOST DELICIOUS PIZZA I've ever had! I can't wait to go back. The service is quick and friendly. The baked goods are amazing. The raspberry bars, granola & sour cherry choc chip salted cookie are out of this world incredible!!!!! 5 stars!!!

Sam B.

Yelp
Just walked in to grab something like usually do during the work week. I had a small window of time to get something today but, even though I was next to be helped a bunch of people came in and were helped before me. I left without being helped and I will not be returning.
google avatar

Samantha M.

Yelp
I went to this bakery for breakfast and ordered a breakfast burrito and Italian soda. The burrito was the perfect size and so good! The Italian soda was good as well but I didn't get it until I had finished my meal, which was a little disappointing. The inside was a little small, but still pretty nice. They also seemed to have options for vegetarians/vegans.

Yelp
Ghetto service Back after couple of years and still rushed and ridiculously rude service

Yelp
Growing up, I've always thought that the idea of living down the street from a local bakery in a city was so very romantic... Picture it: bustling metropolitans picking up fresh loaves of bread and delicious treats baked each morning as they go about their busy schedules, making their days just a little brighter for it. And voila! Metropolitan Bakery has allowed this fanciful dream of mine to come true :) I love the delicious different types of breads here, especially the cranberry nut roll. I love the sweet biscotti and yummy desserts. I love how they often place little samples of bread out for customers, labels written out in cute penmanship, and the service is good and efficient overall. Most of all, I love that I live just down the block and that I can pop in so easily anytime for a quick pick-me-up!

Yelp
I was back in town visiting Philly and decided to stop in, as this had always been one of my favorite places to visit when I lived here and was walking the dog in Rittenhouse Square. It has expanded in the few years I have been gone. They have one side that is a bakery (baked goods, bread, homemade dog treats, coffee, etc.) and the other side is now more of a restaurant. They have pizzas, sandwiches and desserts. I decided to try out this new side and we split a pizza and a cookie for dessert. As you can imagine, they use the same bread from the bakery to make the pizzas. Everything we had was delicious and they even brought out a water bowl for our dog. There is inside seating and a few tables outside as well. The food came out quickly as well. The prices are slightly high, but not too bad for the area. I highly recommend stopping in to either side of Met Bakery.

Yelp
Flourless chocolate cake is to die for. It is so chocolatey but not heavy, not overbearingly sweet, it's moist, it's edges are crisp with a smooth almost mousse-like center. It's mouthwatering, and less than $4 a slice! The bread assortment is also great. Freshly baked, a shell that cracks went bent, soft inside. Everything you need! My favorite is sourdough. There are multiple locations but I really rave about this one. Quaint, well priced, and tasty.

Yelp
Cafe located near the Rittenhouse park with a lovely selection of bakery items. Little pricey but totally worth it. Love the almond croissant, ask for the strawberry rhubarb jam, goes very well with the croissant.
