"The downtown mezcal and tequila restaurant is only offering one bottle of either agave spirit. But for those who don’t want a full bottle, it also sells eight ounces. A tasting flight can be ordered for $25, which includes three one-ounce tastes, orange slices, and a side of sal de gusano." - Caroline Pardilla

Had to share here and on yelp so no one misses it 😆 (because that’s how big of a fan I am of this place now!) 🙌❤️ Add Mezcalero to a short list of DTLA stops for group parties, Taco Tuesday, or one of those places you stop in because you're in the area. I just had a post-concert after-party there and the managers made it all happen without a hitch. To Nick, Kremen, AJ, Kumar, and all the Mezcalero staff who worked so hard to make every cocktail so expertly crafted, the mood just right, the energy OFF THE CHARTS, the food so delicious and expedient...THANK YOU. We were all so impressed, you made our night, and

This place deserves 5 stars and more! We got there and it was really good vibes and the staff was so so helpful, this is one of the best places I’ve been to in all of US. Thank you for the best service and also the yummiest food!!! If you come down you need to try a mix of tacos they were all so good, cocktails also really good here. They gave us complimentary starter and soft drink too, really great!

Really fun and hip place with live music when I was there. The waitress had great drink recommendations and we managed to go on a Tuesday for discounted tacos. I had two beef and two pork and was absolutely stuffed for very cheap. They were a bit greasy but very flavourful.

Great music, nice ambience and good food. For starters we tried Yuca fries, apart from the standard chips with guacamole 🥑. However their brussel sprouts salad starter was most delicious and highly recommended. The Tacos for mains, including the two options they offered for vegetarians - a jackfruit taco and the Vegan Loco. Finished it up with churros and ice cream. The service was very good and will definitely go back again. They have a Tuesday Taco promotion and the happy hours are up to 7 pm so if you’re really hungry, head there during those times.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food (My favorite was the shrimp cevechi) drinks (spicy Margarita). What makes a great experience, is the attitude of the staff. Bartender Cody was amazing!!! 👏 Terrific attitude, showmanship & entertaining. Had a great time and went back the next day.

Mezcalero DTLA feels like a neighborhood bar/restaurant. They have multiple locations but the one on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles feels like a local spot. The bartenders and servers know their customers by name and treats them like they’ve known them for years. But besides the warm atmosphere, Mezcalero has excellent food. Their tacos are quite tasty. My favorites are the fried chicken taco, baja shrimp taco and the al pastor. Their crane asada is good too. If you don’t feel like tacos then try their chicken wings or their loaded beer battered fries. If you don’t eat me they have several vegetarian or vegan options. Aside from the food, Mezcalero has excellent drinks! Their house margaritas are great. I prefer mine with mezcal but you can’t go wrong with their original margarita. They have several specialty cocktails, which leans heavy on mezcal and tequila and have interesting flavors that range from earthy to refreshing and sweet. Check out Mezcalero. It’s not the cheapest place to get good tacos or drinks but it’s well worth it.
