Awesome place to see your favorite music artist perform! The standing room on the first floor is huge and spacious. There was accessible seating for handicap. The upper two decks have theater style seats and some tables up front by the railing. Almost all seats are good viewing of the stage, but stay to the center for better viewing. The private club level (Mass Mutual) indoor bar is nice, but unnecessary if you can get there early enough to get upstairs and out on the patio, weather permitting. Several bars located throughout each floor and a light food menu was available when we were there, but we did not eat. We can't wait for more of our favorite artists to come to the area, because we will be back!

Google
A good sized venue. Not too huge. Though large it’s like a big theater space. Easy to see the stage which feels close. Great sound. Easy access to the club. I saw “The Pixies” there and it was a perfect venue for that. Many people walked there since parking is terrible.

This hall is so nice! The seats are fairly small, so my plus sized self had some difficulty, but overall was still comfortable. The bathroom was extremely clean, and honestly the whole building was. Obviously the prices were outrageous, 30 dollars for 2 hard ciders is way more than I'd like to spend, but not unexpected to be fair. Check in was easy, the staff was pleasant and helpful. There is an elevator, but it's definitely cramped. It's one of those places where getting the ground floor in a wheelchair might be necessary. From our position we had an amazing view. We were all the way to the left and could see everything. We also had plenty of room, which I think was amazing. Not that the other seats aren't better, but this was more secluded which we liked. One ok rock was amazing. Definitely would go to this location and definitely want to see them again.

Google
Beautiful venue. Seems rather new. Parking is atrocious. I would recommend parking near Berklee college or up town, away from fenway, and take the train. Drinks are not cheap. Mens bathroom is very poorly placed on the second floor. Sound was incredible, as was the lighting and CCTV streams of the show around the venue. Merch table placement could be much better to avoid the lines up the stairs

Google
Great venue, right next to Fenway Park. The vertical design of the building makes it possible to pack 5.000 people in there. The upper levels have extremely comfortable seating, but the sound and view are better from the floor.

Google
MGM Fenway is an outstanding venue, and after multiple visits, I finally decided to write a review. The place is always incredibly organized and clean, which makes for a great overall experience. I’ve been to all levels of this location, from General Admission to the 3rd-floor balcony, and I can confidently say that the venue is spacious and well-designed. If you’re looking for a drink, you’ll be happy to know there’s literally a bar everywhere, and they do a fantastic job at reducing wait times, ensuring you get what you need quickly. This review specifically focuses on the 3rd-floor balcony, which I personally prefer over GA and the 2nd floor. It’s cozy, offers amazing views of the entire venue, especially the stage, and is perfect for those who want to sit back and enjoy the show in comfort. The only downside is that the seats can be a bit tight, similar to stadium seating at sports events, but if you’re on the smaller side, it’s no problem at all. I’ll definitely be buying my tickets for the 3rd balcony from now on—it makes the whole experience much more enjoyable! Highly recommend MGM Fenway for anyone looking to enjoy a great show in a well-organized and welcoming venue!

Google
Real nice place, saw baby metal there 6/27/2025 for my birthday and it was a greate experience, everything was handled professionally and quickly to get us in to the bar service. Nice and cool even though the place was packed. Never felt to close to people or uncomfortable.

Had one of the most insane nights of my life here. We got general admission (for a reasonable price in my opinion) to see the Dropkick Murphys over St Patrick’s day. The general admission was great the security guards kept everyone in line, and when I had a small medical situation they were professional and kind and offered to pull me out. When I said I was okay, they gave me a high five and let me continue to dance and have fun. The bathrooms were large, and the employees in them were very kind and kept the lines moving. The beers are a little pricey, but that’s concerts everywhere. The bartenders were incredibly kind and chatted with us for a while, and even made sure we checked out the rooftop bar. I will definitely come back to this venue it was a BLAST and made a fun concert extra fun! Got a drum stick!

Yelp
MGM Music Hall, located right next to Fenway, is a large venue that can accommodate a significant crowd. I arrived at the concert about an hour before the doors opened, and there was already a sizeable crowd. The staff organized us into three lines, which in theory should have helped with crowd control. However, it ended up creating a bottleneck at the metal detectors, merging six lines into about three. This made it difficult for people to get in, and the concert was delayed because of it. The merchandise situation could have been handled better. There was only one table for merch, which may have been the venue's or the artist's choice, but it resulted in a really long line that took nearly an hour to get through. I did manage to get some merchandise, though. As for the concert itself, the music hall is set up almost perfectly to enjoy the show from any angle. There is some seating with obstructed views due to the sound system, but there's plenty of standing room to still enjoy the concert. This was my first time at MGM, and despite the issues, I really enjoyed the concert and would definitely return for another show.

Yelp
MGM at Fenway is my kind of concert venue--options for standing room in the pit *and* a upstairs balcony seating, with a great lineup of mid-to-well-known artists. I've seen a few concerts here--Seven Lions (EDM) and Bad Suns/Band Camino (alt-rock) to name a few. The sound design of the space is stellar, and the bar upstairs is a great add. My one complaint is that there is VERY little control by management/staff when it comes to reserved seats. My paid seats were stolen by a group and I was unable to get them back, leaving me to stand behind a pillar for the remainder of the show. There should be constant monitoring by staff in the seated areas, which should be roped off. If the seats didn't cost extra, I wouldn't mind, but this definitely put a damper on my experience. Otherwise, the venue, lineup, and location are fantastic.

Yelp
I've gone to three concerts at this location. Two of which I was seated on the VIP 2nd level mezzanine. I'm not a fan of the seats as the rows are narrow and not tall girl friendly. I try to get there early to snag a stairway seat for more room. There are VIP tables near the railing which are most likely the best seats in the place. There's a lounge and bar separate from the main stage that's really nice but doesn't hold a lot of seating. Drinks here are priced higher than anywhere else in the area. $50 for 2 lemon drops. I would definitely pregame or visit one of the bars in the area. The 4th level balcony is the furthest from the stage but has the best table seating in my opinion. The left side has a bar seating and the right has table seating which are sooo much more comfortable. But you have to get there early to ensure that you have a good place to sit.

Yelp
Zedd at MGM Fenway was amazing! The energy was off the charts, and he had everyone dancing to hits like "Clarity" and "The Middle." The light show and visuals were mind-blowing, perfectly synced with the music. The venue was just the right size, with great sound and a fun vibe. If you're into electronic music, don't miss Zedd live--an unforgettable night!

Yelp
Cool venue. Seating looked nice but i stood in GA on the floor for Goose. Security entrance was smooth since you don't need to empty pockets before entering. The bars were large and lines werent long that i saw. Bathrooms werent long waits either surprisingly. The merch line was long though. Security either dont give a shit or care too much about the rules. The sound was great and Goose' light show was excellent but they have their iwn light rigs they bring. Meters nearby on the street to park. Fun venue but Leader Bank Pavillion for Goose last year was way better.

Yelp
Came here with my daughter, who loves Mitski. I lived in Boston most of my adult life and had no idea this venue even existed. The venue is small/intimate, easy to get to by red or green line (MBTA Kenmore or Fenway stops) Drinks/snacks are pricey, but on par with other venues, seating is a bit tricky, and this may not be a complaint for every show... But finding where to purchase the correct merchandise - if there's more than one performer - was difficult. Other than that, I have no complaints. The acoustics were phenomenal, and I don't think there was a bad seat in the house.
google avatar

Savannah H.

Yelp
Honestly the lack of marking for bathrooms and the price of drinks makes this the kind of place you should pregame for. The layout even when the show is going on is lackluster. They designed for ballet but do music. A rum and coke will run you $21. That's all you need to know honestly. If there's a show here it's cheap so go to a bar before.

Yelp
Came out for an RNB Only show and enjoyed my visit. The seats are comfy and spacious and there's a good view from every seat in the house. Security had good vibes and moved the line quick. I didn't get anything to eat or drink, but as an avid people watcher I could see the bartenders moving fast af. It was a cool time overall I guess my biggest gripe was parking. I don't visit Boston often but parking seemed to be a mess all over the city. We got jammed between a fence and a Ford 150 driver who isn't mindful of door space.

veronica c.

Yelp
Customer Service. It was a horrible experience. The staff are not too friendly. It was a very unpleasant experience when it was supposed to be an incredible experience. One staff in particular was more involved in the show then what was going on around.

Yelp
First time visit. We sat in the balcony in the last row and the seats were great! Only complaint was that the security was so tight on cell phone usage that they hovered over us the entire time to keep an eye out. Walkie-talkies going off, staff talking to each other, etc. Very distracting. Bonus: visit the Truly bar outside on the top floor and get a great view of the city while grabbing a drink before the show.

Yelp
Took my grand daughter to the Minski show. The music was not to my liking but it gave me the opportunity to check out the venue. I found the workers/ security respectful and helpful, even when telling me "you can't go there" like the mezzanine area. Here are my notes (fyi the floor was seated): The center section 102 is good but flat so if someone tall is in front, not so good. Seats were a tight squeeze. Between center and floor sides there is an aisle - this would be annoying as people would walk in front. 200 section, avoid extreme sides. the lower the better but the steep grade might offer better view than floor. Floor behind mixer not good. 300 section only good towards center and down low. Rails much more crowded upstairs. Best acoustics the more center, thou not terrible on sides. bathroom design well discussed - whoever designed this should have been forced to see all 4 Minski shows. Of course the men's room was empty as this show was 80% female and those bathroom lines helacios. Prices for beverages were outrageous but they did have water free of charge in small cups. Really a 3.5 and decent venue.

Yelp
I went here for Madison Beer's Concert and bought the truly rooftop add-on to my ticket for an extra $25 dollars. The rooftop was so cute but the experience was so overcomplicated! First off, it was very difficult to find details about this rooftop experience. I had to dig pretty hard to find out that for a 7:30 concert with a door opening time of 6:30, the roof was supposed to open at 5:30. It was very difficult to figure out where to queue for this rooftop experience, as there was no dedicated line for it. Eventually we figured out that we had the wait for the door on the middle of Ipswich street to unlock. They were no ready to let us in at 5:30, instead more like 5:45. The other perk to this experience was supposed to be expedited entry to the concert hall when doors opened at 6:30. But they wouldn't let us down until 6:45 so we were very disadvantaged in claiming standing room by the front. This experience has so much potential to be great, I just wished they operated everything more smoothly.

Yelp
I flew in to see one of my acts Rufus du Sol- which I have seen several times this tour . I originally thought the show was at Fenway stadium then realized it was at the venue connected to the stadium. I saw that Pink was performing the same night but luckily we did not hear any interference with my show. Anyway I got there early . They were GA ( general admission tickets) so I wanted to get a good spot. Security was easy to get thru , got thru MERCH line and then headed for my section. I already saw them in front row in NYC so I decided on mezzanine seats on the 2nd level . The 2nd level consists of mezzanine and curve. Mezzanine was the 1st three rows and then anything behind that was curve. And then there were balcony seats ( third level) . I noticed on the mezzanine level that there were " boxed seating" which weee tables with 4 chairs each . Supposedly people were able to purchased those and then specific mezzanine seating if you buy tickets thru the box office. There was not those options on Ticketmaster. I had perfect seats right in the center and I didn't have any obstruction until this one girl was throwing here hands up in the air like she was having a seizure THE ENTIRE TIME. So annoying but people are rude these days. Don't care about people behind them. Otherwise The sound was great inside. I had no issues with the bathroom. I didn't get any food and I only ordered a water. Getting out of there was crazy - between the Pink concert and this one- it was jammed. I had taken an UBER there . No way to get an UBER there so I followed the crowd and walked to Back Bay and then got an Uber. So much better , it was cheaper and it was also nice weather so I didn't mind.

Yelp
I saw Sting here. The venue was really nice and the staff was pretty friendly. I sat on the floor and had great views of the show. I'll be back

Yelp
Rating reasoning; + great architectural layout + 2 steep balconies of seating to keep you close + SRO floor option + Full bars on every level including rooftop + Located next to Fenway Park Really the best designed venue of all time. The balconies are suited to maximize sightlines and keep fans close. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can order chicken caesars wrap, burger, fenway frank, pretzel, or popcorn. Only minor things I'll nitnick are restroom lines are average and the merch area is spread out on multiple levels. Otherwise this is the finest concert hall ever constructed IMHO.

Yelp
They'll shoot Spotlight into the seat where you're sitting and you'll watch the performance in the pain of burning your eyes.

Yelp
Nice, accessible venue right by Fenway! i saw boygenius. Our seats were in Section 205, row H and the view was pretty good. The seats themselves were a bit tight but overall had a great time! There are bars with drinks on each level, and you could also order snacks. There are lots of restaurants in the area if you want to eat before a show as well.

Yelp
This was our first time at this particular Boston venue to see Sting. We had 2nd row floor seats (think Sect 103) on the right hand side of the stage, seats 8 and 9. Tickets were ridiculously expensive (sold as Platinum tixs) but the view was not at all great. Felt a sting for the price-ouch! The stage should have been higher or the seating tiered for better viewing. A camera was set up almost directly in front of us which sorely detracted from our view, having constantly to look left or right to avoid the dead center camera recording the concert (nevermind the 6ft tall pouffy haired person in the front row!) Ugh. The seats are simply folding chairs, not permanent, and seems as many as possible were crammed in. The best seats seem to be on the second level, a table and 2 chairs right on the edge. No idea of the cost. Guards at the door prevented even a chance to see what this view entailed. Acoustics seemed good to us as well as the lighting. We loved that there was both a bar and restroom (only 1) on floor level so you could still watch the show while waiting on either line without missing out. Card use only for the concessions and ridiculously overpriced. Exiting from the floor was relatively quick as we did not have to go back through the main entrance. We took the T there and back so cannot personally speak to parking, but we witnessed mayhem of those exiting parking garage. Yikes. Mayhem also on streets and all adjacent bars and restaurants.

Yelp
Not sure why this new music venue has such poor reviews, but I really liked it!! I thought the venue was small enough so that you could see center stage from any level and any angle, and I liked that the floor was all standing room. There are several bars on each level, and you can order drinks without having to go far from your seat (you can still physically see and hear the show as ordering). The most impressive part of this venue were the bathrooms. I've NEVER seen such an efficient women's bathroom in my life. The line was longgggg, per usual, so I was worried I would miss parts of the concert. However I quickly noticed how fast it was moving. Once inside I realized that there're an employee standing there, speeding everything up! Showing girls open restrooms, only allowing one girl in each stall at a time, and knocking on doors if anyone was in a stall too long. In a line of about 50 girls, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes; seriously impressive!

Yelp
I went to the MGM music hall at Fenway this past week and it was incredible. I sat in the mezzanine and had a perfect view of the stage. The way the seats are set up makes it easy for everyone to have a good view of the stage each row is a good amount lower than the one behind. However there isn't much leg room between each row. I will be coming again it was a great place to go see a concert.
google avatar

Janelle L.

Yelp
We got some drinks and enjoyed the balcony before the show. Staff was nice. Loved the atmosphere and small venue feel. The seats were very tight together let me tell you these thick thighs were in pain. They are losing 5 stars ONLY because of the seats. General admission all the way next time. We saw the Beck Phoenix summer tour.
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately had to come back to the MGM Music Hall and still had a negative experience. Was in the seated section on the balcony this time. Seats were SO small and claustrophobic, I felt like I was in a middle seat flying coach on Spirit Air. The cup holders take up half your foot space and are tripping hazards. Impossible to get in or out of the row without every single person fully standing up. Was in literal pain after the show. Don't recommend unless you're under five feet tall. Charging $5.50 for a water, no NA options either.

Yelp
Wow!!!! Not a bad seat in the house! I only want to see concerts here from now on! We hit the Mix 104.1 Deck the Hall Ball 12/10/22 and it was out first time at the venue. Since it's not 35000 people trying to get into Fenway it was not a zoo around the area. We were able to park in a lot for $22 and head in. We had no idea there was a full bar with food on the mezzanine level. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to sit at a table grab some mixed drinks and some apps before we went to our seats. Menu was limited, but we just needed to get a base (Hot Pretzel and order of tater tots). There is also a private bathroom in the bar area. The venue itself is setup so nice. Easy in and out and every seat looked good. You can see in one of my pictures that there at tables you could get with a server. Sound was amazing. Highly recommend!

Yelp
From the section I was in, I could see the whole stage, at an angle. I wish there wasn't a random plastic window in my view however. My husband said he couldn't see because of it. The sections were clearly labeled so it wasn't hard to find where your seats are. The flow of entry seemed like it could have been more efficient. Massive long lines out the door- people all standing in the cold waiting to get in. I don't know why it was such a process. They just check IDs and scan tickets, and...that is all. One of the least efficient entries I've experienced. It's only going to get colder out.. It seems like a nice, clean venue considering it's pretty new. The major thing about this venue is that the acoustics aren't all that great. I could feel the vibrations of the music through my seats, which is fine. But in terms of hearing the purity of the artists' voices and the instruments...it just wasn't there. To be fair, I'm comparing to concerts I've been to at Red Rocks - which, is totally not fair, but that was my experience. Also, this was my first concert in...years (thanks, Covid). The beer is expensive at $14 a pop. I mean, you know, you're captive and if you want a drink be prepared.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
The venue is clean and very decently sized. It's just really hard to understand why there would only be one bar and like two attendance for an entire event.. there was a bar inside where the stage is, but that wasn't accessible to anyone during the event so everyone was crowded around the outside by the entrance. No sound issues and no visual issues. I actually made a note of the fact that the monitors that projected the display of who was on stage was very very clear... usually those monitors are no better than a CCTV footage camera lol
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
nice venue. good acoustics. Great security. More bathrooms are needed. many signs declaring it a cashless venue despite that being illegal in MA https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartIII/TitleIV/Chapter255D/Section10A

Yelp
GREAT stage, terrible staff. I camped out for a concert last night, with about two dozen other people. Staff didn't hand out wristbands so fans were left in charge of keeping the line together and arranging early entry. You can imagine how this went over- people who showed up at 2 tried to cut in front of people who had been waiting since the sun went up. Doors finally opened 90 minutes before the show. The security staff pulled me over when someone else's bag beeped. The check took so long, I didn't get to be on the barricade. The stage was big, so I still got a good place, but it was frustrating. Water was $6, and came in a can. I was getting water for a group, but the bartender insisted on popping open all three cans. Imagine trying to push through the pit with three open cans of water- it's not fun. It was one of the best shows I've been to, but no thanks to the staff.

Yelp
DO NOT PURCHASE THE ROOFTOP ADD, ITS A SCAM!!!!, its open to everyone!!! I was scammed out of $25, dont let it happen to you! The customer service lady was condescending, saying it said so in the fine print, i said show me. She couldn't, she said it said it for other shows. Dont let hem scam you on this rooftop access.

Yelp
Great venue!! Pleasantly surprised! Drinks are very pricey but other then that i had a great experience!

Yelp
The show I went to (Feist) was amazing, but the venue really dropped the ball, which was a bummer, because it affected my enjoyment of the show. First, we purchased our tickets (for mid-level balcony seats) months beforehand, and paid extra for seats, opting out of GA, because the person I went with couldn't stand for long periods of time. When we arrived, we were told that the balcony (all seats) were closed, because the show was an immersive experience. We were a little annoyed, because we paid for the seats, but assumed they'd have some seating on the main floor. We were wrong. Everyone was standing, or sitting on the floor. We asked a staff member about seating, and were told that special accommodations could be made for people with disabilities or who needed seating, and to go ask for folding chairs at the front desk. We went to the front desk, and it was a total mess. Lots of other people were in the same boat as us, and asking why we couldn't sit in our seats. The staff seemed disorganized and stressed, and we kept hearing different reasons for why, and what they were doing to help patrons. We were told they "were trying to find chairs" and frantic staff were running around getting folding chairs for people who requested them. A few people asked if they could get a refund, since they paid more for seats, and were told that all seats were the same price... Not true. And that they couldn't get a refund, and would have to go through a multi-step process off-site. Bad, bad, bad. Then the reasons for why upstairs was closed kept shifting... They said the artist wanted it closed for the experience (having gone through it, I doubt that's the case, it would have been awesome upstairs too), and that the surround sound was off upstairs and the curtains were closed, so we couldn't sit up there, etc. Finally they told us that they were setting chairs up in the main hall, in the side toward the back. Which was fine, until halfway through the show the set up switched from raised mini-central stage to the main stage, and none of us could see... We noticed that there were a bunch of people sitting upstairs in the mid-level, and decided to see if we could finally access our seats to see the rest of the show. When we went up, the manager was sitting between the roped off stairs to the top balcony, and we asked how to access our seats, and even showed our tickets and seat numbers. He wasn't rude, but was a little snippy, and gave us some BS about how the balcony seats we saw people in were box seats that were sold out months ago, and that our seats were on the closed upper level. We could see there was space on the open balcony, and could see the seat numbering signage. We looked at the numbers for that level and are pretty sure our seats were on there, as we did buy them months ago... At that point we were very annoyed, so just went back downstairs to watch the rest of the show. Long story short, the venue caused the issue, and then instead of doing one of many things to mitigate the situation, made the patrons feel like we were being ridiculous for asking for what we'd paid for... And these were $60 tickets (each) afyall of their BS fees. I will most likely neverrrrrrr go to this venue again, as this was the most ridiculous and honestly, odd, experience I've ever had at a live music venue. We weren't being rude (some people were) and the attitude we got in return for reasonably wanting a solution was garbage. Terrible customer service, at an overpriced venue.

Christopher O.

Yelp
Good venue with good sight lines and ridiculous drink prices. Having said that, I'm leaving this review mostly because of the venue's security staff which I think are actual employees of the venue. I was pleasantly shocked at the professionalism of these young guys. I spent my younger years in the clubs of New England going to punk shows. As I've gotten (much) older, I've noticed over and over again aggressive and unprofessional security at music venues. When I see a pit form at punk and hardcore shows, I always dread what tends to happen next. I see angry and untrained thugs manhandling rowdy kids way too often. Not at MGM Music Hall. These guys spent the whole show making sure crowd-surfers up near the stage were able to get down safely to an area where they could walk back around and join the crowd again. Kids get rowdy and dumb. These guys didn't get rattled or angry. They were obviously trained to make sure kids don't get hurt in mosh pits. I saw one kid trying to take a selfie while a security personnel was trying to help him down from crowdsurfing and it caused one guard to be thrown against the stage and it looked like the poor guy broke his back. He didn't get the least bit angry. He took a minute to recuperate and went back to helping rowdy kids. It's not easy finding good help these days and I just wanted to applaud MGM security's professionalism.

Yelp
Had a great time seeing Weyes Blood, Phoenix and Beck. Great venue, but you might want to bring a sweatshirt because they keep it super cold (which is awesome)

Yelp
Saw I Prevail here and got barrier after waiting in line for roughly four hours. What an incredible venue! It's a decent medium sized venue so even if you're far back you'll have a great view. Acoustics were great for this heavy metal hard rock sound. Would love to visit again!

Yelp
Overly corporate feel for the street. Really awakened vibe for staff, bartenders and the venue given it's located next to Fenway and across from all the bars on Landsdowne. Not a great fit for the street. They need to take a page out of house of blues book and loosen up. The staff all seem miserable and rushed. Sad. Jim Beam VIP area isn't worth it, feels like nothing special, random people walking in and out. The TVs behind the bar are just showing the drink menu (maybe just put the show up) Also the food is TRASH.

Yelp
this is a great venue in the sense that no matter where youre seated, youre within like 150 feet of the stage or something (you can google the exact number if you want), but the venue itself is kind of complicated. maybe i just need to go more often, but for me, the stairs being overflowed by the merch line & the queue being on both sides of the building, its just a little confusing where youre supposed to go. if you have seats in the middle balcony, the upper level WILL cut off your view a bit, so just be aware of that.

Yelp
Seats modelled on Fenway - very tight. I'm 6'2" and my knees were solid against the seat in front of me, sitting on the 3rd floor a few rows back. Show started late because people weren't let in early enough. Finally it looks nice but the acoustics suck. I heard the people around me better than the act I came to see. Won't be back.

Yelp
Food ordering could be improved, but other than that, everything else was great. Contrary to what others have said, there is a bathroom on the main floor. Additionally, you can see the stage from almost anywhere.

Yelp
5 stars for Mistki!!! I was on the ground floor and the seats were too close together it was not comfortable but worth it for Mitski!!

Yelp
Well this is as bad as it gets, let's address their return policy first. Opening act cancels and they don't offer refunds at all, period. seems wrong for such a giant corporate conglomerate *please denote sarcasm Bathrooms, i had to go to the second floor to go to the bathroom, as someone with a medical condition I find this amazing. Oh they have an elevator at the other end of the building so I can take that and that walk my back across the way I came and then do it all over again to return to my original place of viewing. ADA should certainly revisit this venue. Drink prices, bend over and take it..... do I need to go any further?! Sneak nips in, oh wait, Massachusetts just made them illegal starting in January. Sound, it's a giant cement awkwardly shaped building. There are places that sound okay, just don't go to the top. I promise you it's real real bad up there. Downstairs floor level get in front of the overhangs. Parking - GFY it's Fenway Overall I would say that I hate this place and other than the rooftop which is pretty cool, I'll stick to the house of blues. MGM = Money Grabbing Maniacs

Yelp
I hope to never go back here. They have insanely tight security, yet, they seem to have a reoccurring problem with drugged drinks. The security guards appear to be more concerned with the bag policy than the indoor marijuana smoke or the alcohol situation. I attempted to bring in a small bag. I have taken this small bag to Fenway, several football stadiums, basically anywhere I go, I've successfully taken this small bag. But not the MGM. I was forced to pay $5 to check the bag. This was my actual exchange with the security person: ---me: can I just roll up my purse and put it in my pocket? ---him: This isn't the airport - you can't just rearrange your stuff. So, to be clear - MGM has tighter security than the airport. Tips to have a good experience at MGM: - bring nothing - drink before you go if you're drinking (water is $5.50, cocktails are $20) - it's hard to travel between sections (again, security) so don't assume you'll be able to see friends you're not seated with easily - bring ear plugs Sidenote: the place holds 5,000 people. If 1/3 of the people are caught off guard and bring a normal/small purse, they will make $8,333 in bag check fees per night.

Yelp
I want to start by saying that the venue itself has a lot of promise, but they really need to address the bouncers they apparently outsource to ensure guests are not treated unfairly. As it stands now, I will probably never come back to this venue after the experience I had last night. For context, I am a mature, professional woman of color, who is often mistaken for way younger than I am. And I think that played a large part in the experience I had last night. Last night, I went to see one of my favorite musical acts, Rufus du sol, at mgm with a friend. The tickets were not inexpensive but I am more than happy to pay to see Rufus du sol. We had general admission tickets and showed up at 7:30, as we wanted to see the opening act (HVOB) who were fantastic. Since we were there early, we were right up front on the side, and stayed in the same spots all night. Of course, over time, people come in and push their way to the front, and we did not mind and pretty much were enjoying ourselves. From the start, I was dancing to the music and enjoying myself like a normal concertgoer. Most of the concertgoers were friendly, and some chatted with us and some offered to take our picture. It started off great. At some point, one of the bouncers who had been there from the time we arrived came up to me and told me to "be careful" of what I was doing. I was completely shocked. I asked him what I was doing that was a problem. He said I was shoving people. I said that was untrue. He said he witnessed this. I said that was impossible (because I knew it was untrue) and asked who was saying I did this. He pointed to a young woman who was standing by herself on the barricade and who was originally at least 5 or so feet away from me before the bouncer called me over. I asked her why she said I shoved her. She wouldn't look directly at me but tried to insist I was doing so and not just once but constantly. I was flabbergasted by this accusation. I was dancing throughout the concert (other than when I stopped to take video) as was everyone else (but her) near us, but I am very aware of my surroundings when I dance and I cannot see how I would have been close enough to even accidentally create the kind of situation she was describing. One of the other bouncers came over when I asked her the question and started yelling that if I continued to be a problem he was going to have me kicked out. Again, I was stunned. I felt I was being not only unfairly accused but then targeted, bullied and harassed by two men who were obviously insecure and unprofessional. I told him to back off because I would get a lawyer involved and I asked him if he could afford it. He called me an asshole several times and threatened to kick me out at least 2 additional times. I asked the young woman why she would accuse me of this and she walked away. At this point, the whole concert had been ruined for me, and my friend wanted to leave anyway because she had to get up early for work. That would have meant that I would have had to stay there myself and I did not feel safe doing so with these unprofessional bouncers. I glared at the bouncers and even told some of the nice people we had chatted with earlier what happened and they couldn't believe it (they seemed especially shocked when he started calling me an asshole). I have never been accused of belligerent behavior, nor would I subject someone to it. I am the first to apologize when I have done something wrong, so that was not the issue. I just really feel this was a case of someone having a bad night, and deciding to take it out on someone or a case of mistaken identity. It was really weird that she was unwilling to help me understand the issue or clear up any misunderstanding. We ended up leaving a little more than halfway through the set. I demanded to see the manager and explained what happened. He informed me that they outsource some of the bouncers and apologized. I also told him that I felt I was being unfairly targeted as a woman of color. He empathized and appropriately diffused the situation. He told me to write a detailed email about what transpired and gave me his card. Depending upon how they respond, I may update this review and be willing to attend a concert there again, but, for now, I think MGM has established itself as an unsafe venue that I would feel more comfortable avoiding.

Yelp
We saw a great show at MGM Fenway tonight - and our seats included the Jim Beam lounge. The waitress was very nice but the food was terrible! We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with spicy relish, Coleslaw and fries. The chicken was burned. There was no spicy relish just a little packets of relish like you put on a hotdog. There was no coleslaw at all and the french fries were cold. When we complained to the waitress, she said there was nothing that they could do and suggested we leave a negative review - so I am.

Yelp
Good venue. Reminds me a bit of House of Blues, which is across the street, but bigger. Acoustics are good and plenty of room on the floor. Downside? Why is the men's bathroom on the second floor and women's on the third? That's literally insane! Who designed this like that? Everything else was good. One upside of the bathroom (on the second floor)? They have speakers playing the band in the bathroom. Never seen that before but great idea! But geez, you need a bathroom downstairs nobody wants to spend 10 minutes going upstairs in the middle of a show! My literal only complaint (but a relatively large one). The venue otherwise is great.

Yelp
We had VIP passes, "guaranteed first 10 rows". I got these more expensive tickets so my kids could see. When general admissions came in, they pushed their way to the front. Knocking vip pass holders out of the way. Staff had 0 crowd control. My own personal opinion, when you have ticket holders with guaranteed spots- ROPE IT OFF. This caused it very difficult for my kids to see the show. Highly disappointing and unfair. When mentioned to a staff member, I was told "this is how floor seats work". I'm sorry, this is not what we paid for! DO NOT recommend, at least not for a show with VIP passes!

Yelp
Standing room is actually theft. You see nothing. Once the crowed starts standing you realize you wasted your money to watch a tv.

Yelp
Sound? Awesome! Went and saw bluegrass faves Nickel Creek. Atmosphere? Great, several levels. Seats? Great views but bleacher-style seats themselves were tighter than airplane seats. Had to go stand up on the concourse because the seats were so uncomfortable. Food and bar services available but can't comment on it because I didn't utilize. If I went again I would aim for the 2nd level dining table type seats overlooking the general floor. they would cost more but would be much better I believe.

Yelp
The venue is very nice, similar to House of Blues. The location is nice, with restaurants across the street. My problem was the sound. I had seats on the floor under the left overhang. I could barely hear the music or vocals. I have heard this band so many times, indoors and out, and never experienced this at any other venue. I could talk to my friend without leaning over or yelling. When I spoke, it was like background music in a store. That is not really what I look for in a concert. So sad to have wasted time, money, and the excitement factor going in for this show. I am not looking forward to going back anytime soon.

Yelp
I went there for reggae fest on 8/25. The bartenders were rude and disrespectful. The female bartender made brought me the wrong drink and refused to correct her error. She told me " I will not make you another drink so you have to drink this one." The male bartender swore at us when we asked about a shot. The level of unprofessionalism was unbelievable. We asked for a manager they not only refused to get one, they also refused to serve us. Disrespectful, rude, and the fact that we were black and they werw not was not lost on us. Any employee who works in customer service that responds to a drink order with "fuck you" should never be consumer facing. NEVER AGAIN.
