Delicious pasta..really enjoyed pollo lasagna, calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza. Ambience is nice and service is great. Little pricey but you come here to enjoy fresh pasta! Dessert was good but skip apple pie, some odd herb thrown in and it just threw off the whole taste but great chocolate cakes. Enjoyed our midnight fantasy and velvet panache. Also recommend making a reservation, gets pretty packed and lounge may get crowded.

The Caprese Burrata was a refreshing appetizer, I enjoyed the ratio of tomato to burrata. The Fettucine Alfredo Tartufo was so delicious, 9/10! The wider pasta noodles paired really well with the cream sauce, which was flavorful and not too heavy like other versions of this dish. But the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. Perfect for one person, but if you want to share dishes or are hella hungry, I’d recommend ordering two. The Farfalle Salmone Vodka was also very tasty. The smoked salmon was very salty, but if you eat it in small bites with pasta, the flavors balance out well. Solid 8/10! The open kitchen adds to the ambiance, but the restauraunt itself was quite dim. I think an addition of candles or mini centerpieces would really enhance the atmosphere. Although the service was a bit slow and difficult to get attention, the restauraunt was so busy and we didn’t mind too much. Shoutout to the one chef who went around asking how everyone’s dinner was. Gave him a fistbump and he kindly gave us a tiramisu on the house. Which was bomb!!! Perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness. Would come back just for that dessert. Overall, would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving some authentic italian.

Google
Had dinner here celebrating my bestfriends birthday. I can not say enough good things about this place. Food was AMAZING!! Service was IMPECCABLE!! Drinks were STRONG!! The owner very graciously game us complimentary desert. I spent a couple hundred but it was worth every penny for every delicious bite.

Google
Food is good. The bread was our favorite with the escargot. I had the shrimp scampi. The menu said it came with 4 shrimp, I only got 3. Service was not that good. We had to wait a long time for the waiter to come back to us regarding our check or dessert. We felt it was overpriced for what you get. We wouldn’t go back. There’s no parking. It’s on a very busy street.

Google
We came here for a business meal. Ordered the escargot but it was unnecessarily smothered in oil n herbs that u couldn’t even taste the delicacy. I have had better tasting ones. For main course, I ordered the steak as medium but they sent it as well done. I didn’t wanna return it in front of my business peers but for $74 they should know how to cook a steak. It’s not that difficult. Even the garnishing looks cheap n unnecessary for a high class restaurant like this. Disappointed that my meal was sub par given the prices and other reviews.

Sadly, this will be our last time going to this restaurant. Been here ever since a teen. The service and food have just gone downhill. This last time was a last minute decision to go here. My husband did not want to but I convinced him. Started out with the waiter, for whatever reason, ignored me. I had to repeat the order three times. I even asked my kid was it me or did he just blatantly ignored me. My husband laughed at how ridiculously he was behaving. The food - I was soooo looking forward to the pasta. Got the gamberi. It tasted like baby food. The pasta and the carrot sauce 😳. Of course, I had other people at the table taste it just to make sure it’s not “me thing.” At the end of the dinner, he brought the check and handed it to my husband and said “here you go buddy”. Well, the check was split. Bad service + bad food = $200 bill (not including tip). For that amount of money, you CAN get better food and service elsewhere.

Found this restaurant in 2021 and have been going ever since for business lunches/dinners, birthdays, dates, and even late night last minute meals. The owner, Armen, is great and always greeting us as we pass by or while we are eating. The host/hostess are always accommodating to the last minute changes when able, and the waiter, waitresses, and bussers are all very kind.

Google
Dinner at Mi Piace was absolutely perfect. The pasta was incredibly delicious, and even the bread was so tasty. After we finished eating, the cozy and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to linger and enjoy a lovely time with friends. Everything from the food to the ambiance and service was just right. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

Yelp
Food is delicious. Service is hit and miss. We went there for dinner and later in the night again for dessert. Dinner was a hit. Food and Service was fantastic. Everyone was on top of everything and it was great. Dessert was a miss. We were walking to the lounge area and the hostess left us standing there and said i have someone come clean the table. We waited waiting and no one came. I went and check and she said sit anywhere so we did. I told the waitress who came that the table needed to be cleanened off as clearly someone had sat there and messed with the napkin on the table but it was still folded. She bought us silverwear and one napkin. It was then 20 minutes from ordering till we received our coffee, tea and two already made desserts. And the cup I was brought was dirty.

Yelp
Mi Piace in Pasadena is truly a gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for both a night out with friends or a more intimate evening. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented you can tell real care goes into every dish. Our bartender, Jordan, was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely be back and if you go, make sure to grab a seat at the bar with Jordan. She'll take great care of you!

Yelp
Eleanor was an absolute delight--her bright personality and positivity truly elevated the meal. The food itself was just as impressive: my friend enjoyed the lamb chops while I had the tagliatelle with prawns, followed by a dessert duo of crème brûlée cheesecake and the chocolate trio (because why stop at one?). The booths could use a little reupholstering and the bathrooms are a bit of an adventure to find, but those are minor notes in an otherwise excellent experience. Watching the chefs at work while dining was the perfect finishing touch--like dinner and a show, only tastier.

Yelp
Came across this place last minute. Was looking for an italian restaurant with a great list of wine options and of course great reviews on food. The service we received here was superb, from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. The food was definitely delicious, we ended up ordering the Bolognese Parpadelle, Calamari, Tiramisu Cake and the Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo with Shrimp. Not one complaint about their food. Will definitely be back. We also had glasses of their Pinot Grigio and Merlot, perfection. Ambiance is very chill and quiet.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with good food. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner came by to say hello which was nice. They offered a place to hold our flowers bouquet during dinning. We enjoyed everything that we forgot to take pictures prior. The apple pie though was interesting flavor. It tasted almost like pot pie. It had rosemary and was more savory than sweet.

Yelp
I was in the area and missed this place that I used to go during my college days. Made a reservation and got seated right away during weeknights dinner. The service was nice and attentive, unfortunately the food was way below par. I was extremely disappointed from what Mi Piace that I used to be excited about. The bolognese pasta was very bland and kind of dry, not flavorful at all, as well as the gnocchi, the texture is not like the typical gnocchi, it tasted like cheap store bought gnocchi. My Caesar salad, sadly, it was the worst Caesar I've ever had. The bitterness of the lettuce was very pungent, I couldn't even taste the overall salad. What a sad, sad visit in an old town Pasadena.

Yelp
Ended up here before the Rufus du Sol concert. It was definitely packed in here for a Sat night, but given the sold out concert that was a given. We had a reservation but ended up snagged seats at the bar instead which worked out very nicely. Had a delicious bottle of their Sancerre, started off with some bruschetta and got the Paparadelle Bolognese for my entree. The pasta was very al dente and delicious with lots of natural flavors. The bruschetta was tasty but a bit heavy for a starter. Might be okay if you have a big party to share with but a little too much for two people. Ambiance was great. Very lively and packed but lots of locals who clearly come here all the time.

Yelp
I really loved my experience here! Ample parking around -- it's downtown Pasadena so look for the closest parking garage! The setup is a little cramped. We were a party if 5 and two people had to sit side by side on a normal 4-seater table. But, it didn't feel too bad; make sure those ppl are slim tho. Service was amazing! Eleanor (I believe it was her name) is so lovely. She provided great recommendations for food and drinks, and was really attentive. Our glasses were never empty. Food was fantastic as well. I would not normally pick Italian. For reals, it's always last on my list. But I wanted to remain open minded and I'm glad I did! We had calamari, escargot, bread service to start. All Y U M. I love bread To eat, I got the spicy paccheri with the meat ball, my wife got the gnocchi, mom got the osso buco... you know, everything we got was pretty darn good. Dessert, we got the crème bruelee cheesecake and it was divine. The drinks!! I got their clarified margarita and it was hands down the best dang margarita I've had. So smooth. The grand mariner foam was a treat as well. Highly recommend. I didn't take ANY pics because I was so into this restaurant. My bad, but please trust me. This place hit the spot and I don't even like Italian. It was that good. It's a trek tho from OC!!

Yelp
Mi Piace is one of my family's favorite Italian restaurants in LA! The food always hits the spot, and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. When I asked for substitution on one of the dishes, one of the staff members said, "Our motto is any thing that you'd like. So of course we can make adjustments for you and make it the way you like!". So kind!! Notable items: Bread service: Garlic Focaccia Bread served with olive oil and vinegar. IT WAS SO GOOD. Bread was soft and flavorful. I tried so hard to stop myself from eating too much of it because I wanted to save my stomach for the main entrees. Caesar Salad: fresh vegetables and very light. Enjoyed it as a perfect appetizer! Bucatini Alla Carbonara: creamy sauce with al dente pasta. Paired so well with the savory pancetta! Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo: rich, cream sauce. very filling! Pepperoni Pizza: HUGE portion. Shareable size and the kids loved it. There's parking available at the public parking structures nearby for $1. Very beautiful and clean decor inside. Classy setting, but casual dress code is still fine (perfect for a date night!). Even though it's quite big inside and there's seating available outdoors too, it can get busy, so I highly recommend getting a reservation! Thank you Mi Piace for the wonderful experiences throughout the years!!

Yelp
We had an amazing time dining at Mi Piace on a Saturday night with our party of 18. We received excellent service from Frank and Armen. We love the food and environment. Due to it was a very busy Saturday night the wait for the food after ordering took a little while.

Yelp
5 stars review, awesome seabass and great dessert. The service was amazing and they served it quickly. The environment was clean and everything went well!

Yelp
Returned last night, and had the pleasure of meeting the Hostess, Victoria. She was so incredibly nice and accommodating! Our server was Jose M and we have had him before. He is great! He is very attentive and very helpful. I had the seafood risotto and it was delicious. Mi Piace never disappoints.
google avatar

Alon R.

Yelp
Tl;dr: better than they have ever been. A few dollars more than years past due to rising costs for restaurants more than made up for by an overall superior experience. Service and food were top notch, not generic bad bistro or pub fare. Caesar salad was a unique and excellent take, simple dish like chicken scalopini plated beautifully and immaculate, fishermans stew not lacking seafood quality or quantity. Much, much higher end than in years past but not much, much more expensive. Worth going back if you haven't been in a while, or trying if wondering. Kitchen is solid, service professional yet warm. Was mediocre+ for a while, which is where my expectations were set at seating...blown out of the water how good everything was!!!

Yelp
This restaurant has been in business since 1989 and you cannot get a bad meal here. I have taken friends from other parts of the world and everyone was amazed by the quality and the friendly service. The double lamp chop is a must try if you like lamp. The home made Tiramisu is a killer....lol

Yelp
Love this place! The foods are delicious and the service were great! Especially Armen and Frank for their good services! Definitely come back again!

Yelp
Came here for a work dinner with 20+ people. Staff are very nice and catered to our drink needs. While everyone drank the wine, I asked for a Paloma which tasted more like a drink I'd get at sports bar (too much tequila). The food was also not up to par. I ordered the scallop truffle risotto off the special menu and the rice was undercooked and scallops were rubbery and overcooked. I was not satisfied with my dish and saw others had the same sentiment. The dessert was better but I'd only give it 4 stars. We ordered the chocolate trio, tiramisu, midnight fantasy and almond roca cake (not pictured). Unlike the food, the staff were very helpful and attentive to our large party's needs. Because of our size and the chaos I give them credit for attending to us. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming here if you like decent food, sorry!

Yelp
I've been going to Mi Piace for quite awhile. But I just realized they have brunch as well. We had an omelet and pancake. They were fantastic. The omelet - the hollandaise sauce was in the middle and made the omelet moist. The lemon pancake with blueberries reduction is just great. One of the best brunch we had lately! And happy to know they have a simple breakfast/brunch menu!

Yelp
When in Old Town Pasadena we make a point of treating ourselves to something yummy and Mi Piace did not disappoint! The ambiance was nice and cheery crowd watching from the inside. We love sitting outside too but they only have a few tables and they were taken. Very classy decor and definitely clean. I started with a dirty martini but they brought it dry so they brought the olive juice on the side.. came out really really well. We had the Bruchetta appetizer and it was really good. I just wish they served it with a few crostinis on the side. Can't forget their delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic glaze... yum! We both had the Spaghetti Aragosta and finished them to the last bite. It had plenty of lobster pieces with a small lobster tail.. I can almost taste again it was that good. We finished off with dessert and split a crème brûlée cheesecake and a vanilla latte What a perfect meal!
google avatar

J T.

Yelp
We gave it a second chance and still NOT GOOD! Over cooked mushy pasta and over priced drinks. Decor feels dirty and dated. The servers are rushed!

Yelp
Some friends and I had a reservation for 7PM on a Saturday. The place was packed and there was definitely a lag in being seated. We checked in 15 minutes prior to our reservation but we're not seated until 7:45PM. I think the issue was that some folks were not getting up to leave after settling their bill. Aside from that hiccup our server was very kind and attentive. They checked in with us throughout the night and made sure we had everything we needed. My friends ordered margaritas and I had a gimlet. They said their margaritas were great. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my gimlet. If you're looking for a cocktail it's probably best to order from the menu or order something very basic. All of our food came out at the same time and we all really enjoyed our dishes.

Yelp
GREAT PLACE FOR ITALIAN IN OLD TOWN PASADENA ================================= I don't know about everyone else, but it's really difficult trying to find decent Italian food in Pasadena. Il Fornaio at One Colorado closed last year which was a bummer. So my husband and I went back to Mi Piace. The service is great which helps. Today we went for lunch and I made a reservation on Open Table. They had the Dine LA menu and we wanted to order chicken Parmesan which was on it, but not the other two courses for $45. Our waiter let us order that with a Caesar salad which hit the spot. We loved everything. My husband is a tiramisu snob and he likes their tiramisu. We will be back.
google avatar

Trixy M.

Yelp
So I decided to choose this place for my Birthday dinner. I always love the food here. Usually we have always have a real nice time. dinner, pasta, drinks and desert always amazing. The only thing I was horrified about was the ladies room near the bar. OMG, never, ever have I encountered a bathroom so disgusting in Pasadena, in my life. The door locks were broken, the lamp shades in the stalls, swarming with gunk! the floors smelled of urine. Everything was so filthy. I was so disgusted that it actually ruined my night. I don't think I can ever return knowing that they don't clean thoroughly. So disappointed ugh!

Yelp
A friend and I dined at Mi Piace last night for the third time and all I can say is, WOW!! If I could give this place a 10-star rating or more, I definitely would! If this place was in my neighborhood (I drove from Long Beach and my friend from Northridge), I would be here EVERY.SINGLE.WEEK. It is THAT good!! Let me explain: I am a "Foodie" and fairly picky. No sub-standard eateries as we only have so many meals in a day! This place does NOT disappoint! Every single dish we ordered was top-notch and incredibly delicious! When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the very professional and well-spoken Victoria. She was beautifully dressed in black and her makeup and hair were on point. She had our reservation and immediately escorted us to our table, a modern, somewhat mid-century modern white booth in the back on the side of the Dining Room. [FYI, in reviewing information about this special place, I was excited to see that Toni Chi, a New York-based designer had created this trendy, upbeat environment.] We were told that José would be our waiter and were left with the regular menu, the "Dine LA" menu and the Cocktail Menu. WIthin moments of our being seated, José arrived to warmly greet us and take our drink orders. We wanted to stick with water for the moment and that was delivered less than 2 minutes from our request. We were given time to look over the menus and José checked back in a few more minutes to see if he could answer any questions for us. We seriously had a difficult time narrowing down what we wanted to eat because of the incredible selection of dishes! We couldn't decide on which appetizers to begin with, so we asked José which would be best for us: the Panino Alla Caprese (Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella with sliced tomatoes and Olive Oil -OR- the Grilled Vegetables with Mushrooms, Red and Yellow Bell Peppers, Onions, 2 kinds of Mushrooms and Zucchini Squash. Much to our surprise, José said they were both great but that the vegetables were his favorite! We got both because why not?! And, both were extremely delicious; however, whatever the chef did to the vegetables made me fall in love with them, whoever they were, lol!! The Caprese Salad was also killer, so we won doubly on our starters! We also ordered a side of bread with the iconic oil and balsamic vinegar which was also delicioso!! Once our dishes were cleared from our starters, our main courses arrived within a short time. I ordered the Pollo Al Prezzemolo, a free-range organic grilled half Chicken stuffed with fresh herbs, plenty of garlic (!!), parsley lemon butter sauce, served with Pomme Purée and sauteed vegetables. It was BEAUTIFULLY presented, which was the case with every dish, by the way! It was utter HEAVEN in the taste department, as well, and I was delighted that I could take some home as a leftover for the next day! My guest ordered the Pescatore, a rustic seafood stew with calamari, shrimp, scallops, clams, prawns, Prince Edward Island spinach tagliatelle in a flavorful San Marzano tomato-infused broth and she was completely DELIGHTED in her choice, as well! I have to make mention here of the Owner, Drew, who checked in on us which was lovely since owners are not often at such restaurants, let alone on the floor, interacting with customers. The Manager and General Manager were ever-present on the floor, warmly and attentively interacting with tables of customers and supporting their staff! We felt that this restaurant "ship" was definitely "all hands on deck" and each staffer supported the whole. It definitely has a New York feel to it which is a rarity in California! On top of that, Mi Piace is in Pasadena, one of my very favorite cities! With dinner, my guest had the Austin Hope cabernet wine which was suggested would pair well with her Pescatore as well as a Margarita specialty drink that had a grand Marnier foam and clarified tequila in it as well as a nice spice around the rim. While it smelled heavenly to me but since I don't drink, that's as far as I went with it, lol, but my guest was VERY pleased! Though we had quite a dinner, we could not leave without dessert! Once again, José was there with suggestions for me. My guest had tiramasu which she absolutely loved but I wanted something chocolate. José recommended the Midnight Fantasy which was once again, beautiful to look at and AMAZING!! My guest and I had such a WONDERFUL experience at Mi Piace and we will be coming back here again and again and again and...well, you get the picture! It's absolutely AWESOME and the prices are completely reasonable, especially for the quality that you get, so we will be back lots! [My only regret is not taking more photos!] This place's name, "Mi Piace" translates literally to "I like it!" In that case, maybe it should be named, "Lo Adoro"--I love it, lol! Thank you, thank you, Mi Piace for a great time last night! Chef's Kiss and DELICIOSO!

Yelp
Mi piace has been a staple in Pasadena for so long. I used to come here a lot in my college years and is so packed with nostalgia. We were here at 8:30PM on a weekday and were seated right away. We decided to sit outside and the ambiance was great. Ambient lighting with pedestrians walking by made it a great evening. Service was good but I did feel we were somewhat rushed through the ordering process which I was not a huge fan of. They have a really good wine selection including a large selection of single glass, half bottle and entire bottles. Calamari 4/5 - great flavor, fresh pieces of calamari. The chimichurri dipping sauce was delicious. The only thing is the breading was coming off of the calamari which made it a little difficult to eat but flavors are on point. Fettuccine Alfredo tartufo 10/5 - so good and the truffles hints throughout the pasta complements the pasta so well without taking over the dish. With truffle dishes this is actually difficult to do. Must add a protein to the pasta to take this to the next level. We went with chicken and it was perfect. Ravioli Al burro 4/5 - flavors are good but a tad too sweet for my taste. I've had this a union in Pasadena and they definitely had a better version. But good effort at the dish. I still thought it was delicious nonetheless. I've heard their tiramisu is amazing but we're too full for dessert. Will definitely have to try next time. Overall a great meal.

Yelp
First timer here who passes this place all the time definitely regrets not trying this place sooner! First off, can I just say how wonderful it was to see the owner make his way around to each table thanking them for dining in, asked how their food was, and made sure you were happy with your experience. Definitely impressive. Especially because we were that last minute big dinner party that decided on a whim to try this place. Thank you again so much for accommodating us. Now let's get into the food. Presentation is key here and you know what, it was definitely a vibe. You can see the pride this restaurant takes in every detail of the dining experience. The portions are shareable, but let's be honest do we really want to share? Especially when it's homemade pasta?! To start, we had the Italian wedge salad and it is really good. Just make sure to ask for extra dressing if you prefer a lot of dressing on your salad. Next, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo Tartufo with shrimp (extra cost for shrimp). It was delicious and didn't send me into a foodie coma like most other Alfredo's. It had great flavor and each bite was delicious. I did try a few bites of the lasagna di carne, which is some of the best lasagna I've had. Definitely will be choosing that option next time. Thank you again for such a wonderful dining experience and for making our birthday dinner incredibly special. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
It is a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Pollo prezzemolo is my safe dish. It's five stars, for sure. Beef carpaccio (yum!) I can't remember what the beef ravioli was called, but it was also very good. It's a good appetizer, though. It won't fill you up. And the last time I was here, I had an incredible custom seafood risotto!!! Service is always wonderful. A favorite in the books.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Our server, Tina, was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. I wanted to stick with high protein and low carbohydrates which can be really hard in an Italian restaurant. However I was able to tweak one of the appetizers, I added grilled Salmon to the roasted vegetables and it was really delicious!
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
I ordered the 10 layer lasagna bolognese, it was so flavorful, you can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. My mother ordered the lasagna di pollo and she absolutely loved it. My boyfriend ordered the piccata di pollo and he loved the pasta and the chicken. The ambience and the music really set the mood, everyone was so sweet. The owner came up and greeted us and asked how was the food. We had a wonderful experience. Definitely coming back!

Pauline Y.

Yelp
Meal was great as usual. Pescatore was awesome!! Armen came to check on us and our server Frank was great.

Leon H.

Yelp
Great good and excellent service!! Rich flavors, perfect pasta, and heavenly saucee. Armen and Frank are the best!

Surinna Y.

Yelp
Food was great! Excellent service and hospitality from Armen and Frank, who gave us a wonderful night for my friend's birthday. Highly recommended!

Philomena N.

Yelp
The food as best as usual, been here for more than decade and never disappointed, excellent service from Frank and Armen!!!

Dayana L.

Yelp
had the Spaghetti con Polpette at Mi Piace in Pasadena, and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente, with a rich, well-balanced tomato sauce that had just the right amount of flavor without being too heavy. The meatballs were tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully, exactly how classic Italian comfort food should taste. Portion size was generous, and it felt like a real homestyle dish but with a refined restaurant touch. The atmosphere at Mi Piace makes the whole experience even better, lively cozy, with great service by FRANK and attention to detail. If you're craving authentic pasta in Pasadena, the spaghetti with meatballs here is definitely worth ordering.

Ivan L.

Yelp
Great food! Great service! Frank was great and the owner even checked on us! We will for sure come back

Ryan Y.

Yelp
This is located on Colorado Blvd- and frankly I was disappointed with the experience for the cost. When it comes to experience in relation to value- Mi Piace falls short. The location is excellent and convenient- perfect for a bite between shopping or dinner and walking through Colorado. The interior is nicely decorated but there are elements that feel off- the layout is awkward and things like the bathroom being a separate area decrease the overall experience (having to exit the restaurant through the back in a bit of a dingy back room). Food was subpar- while the pasta was "homemade" and/or imported- the pasta was a bit overcooked, and the sauce made the pasta mushy. Service itself was good- our waitress was attentive and helpful, kind and had table service.

Yelp
This place is the best! I make it a point to get here whenever I am in town! The owner is awesome, the bartenders are great, and the food is incredible! A must stop!

Yelp
This place is the best. The staff was so supportive and everybody was so helpful with the menu. The drinks are great. The food was insane. You guys all should come here.

Alan A.

Yelp
It was an amazing experience dining here. The food was extravagant, our waiters Armen and Frank were especially nice, and we had an overall great time at this restaurant. I recommend going to this restaurant for the ambiance and the extraordinary lighting. This was our best experience yet!

Yelp
Went for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint. This is my second time there. Service is amazing, everyone if friendly. You have people checking on you to see if everything is perfect. The gnocchi is to die for. The cocktails are on point. They have outdoor seating as well as a bar area.

Yelp
After several years and went back to this restaurant, the quality of the food were still remain the same!! Oysters were so fresh and you can taste the sweetness from it, steak was cooked just right(we asked for medium rare), and we added lobster tail on the side, and that was the highlight of the day, it comes with macaroni which was not made with "fast food ingredients", it was made like pasta! We'll def go back soon! Oh, and the drinks was just alright tbh

Yelp
It was Labor Day. Miserably hot outside, and my girl friend and I went in for one drink. We were promptly greeted by the bartender(I believe Jordan) and ordered a cocktail and then the bruschetta. As we were waiting for our snack, a gentleman who was less fortunate than us came in, and Jordan called the manager over. After a quick word between the manager and the gentleman, who straightened his clothes, the manager led him to a table. A meal was brought out, the gentleman's reusable cup was filled.after his meal, the manager asked what he would like for dessert, which looked delicious when it was brought. He finished his meal and left, quietly, with no scene caused. When Jordan asked if any else was needed from my friend and we offered to pay for the gentleman's meal, to which she demurred. "The manager has taken care of that". As we were leaving, I spoke with the manager and said he has restored my faith in humanity and kindness. So, while the drinks and food are pricey, please, go and have a happy hour drink or two. I lived in Pasadena for a few years and this was a special date-night place, but make it YOUR happy hour Piace!!

Yelp
My experience at Mi Piace, I felt compelled to warn others. The only positive thing I can say is that the ambiance was decent, but everything else was a disaster. First off, there were little bugs flying around the restaurant, which completely grossed me out. It was hard to enjoy the meal with that going on. We ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese ($34) and were completely disappointed. Not only was the portion ridiculously small for the price, but the taste was completely bland--honestly, I could barely taste any flavor at all. It felt like a frozen dinner you could get at the grocery store, but way overpriced. And don't even get me started on the pizza ($20) We also added pepperoni to the pizza for an extra ($5); it had this weird, off taste that made me question whether it had been sitting out too long or something. The service was okay, but honestly, that doesn't make up for the rest of the experience. At the end of the day, I won't be returning and definitely can't recommend this place to anyone. For the price and experience, it was an absolute letdown.

Yelp
Walked by and decided we had to come back for dinner the next night. Food was DELICIOUS, decadent and flavorful. Lovely, romantic and welcoming energy. Will definitely be coming back for a special occasion. 5 stars P.S. get the crème brûlée cheesecake divine!!

Yelp
This place is magic. The very best of LA. Escargot, veal milanese, the Old Fashioneds are the best in LA. Incredible service, lively yet relaxing atmosphere and a comprehensive menu featuring Italian favorites.

Yelp
Went here last night and loved it! The handmade pasta was so good and the dessert was super yummy. Cozy spot with friendly service.

Yelp
There's a reason this place is always busy! Great food, efficient service, bustling ambiance and it's been this was since day 1 decades ago! My Goddaughter had her post christening party here back in the day, she's now a college graduate. I had the butternut squash raviolis garnished with crispy sage leaves that are so delicious! After was finished I couldn't waste the sauce. For an extra $5 you can have bread to sop up the little remaining dregs of deliciousness... I know that behavior will require more time on the treadmill, but I couldn't let it go to waste, so I'm adding it to my waist. So go from the frying pan into the fire, our party shared the midnight chocolate ganache cake dessert. Each bite is like eating a truffle. There are overtones of orange flavors in a smooth thick dark chocolate. Definitely worth it. Oh, and for a starter share the Calamari. The dipping sauce is actually quite delicate and citrusy even though the menu claims it has jalapeno, I didn't taste any heat. A lovely lunch came to $48 each. We shared the appetizer, bread and dessert and we each had our own entree. They had the Gnocchi and a special ravioli. (I think mine tasted the best)

Yelp
We came to celebrate my dad's birthday and we were disappointed with our service and the ambiance but absolutely LOVED the food! We arrived early for our reservation and they sat us right away. Unfortunately, it took 15 minutes for us to just get water and a waitress to acknowledge us. Bread was sent to our table (by mistake we were later told) & STILL no waters our calamari came out and we enjoyed that with NO WATERS! Not sure where they had to go fetch the water from but I can say I've never waited 30 minutes for waters in my life! We also ordered the Old Town Pizze. We later decided to order drinks and I had to ask the waitress twice to bring the drink menu that she initially took away. We wanted straws I also had to ask her twice to bring straws. It was rather off putting that we had to ask for EVERYTHING! Our waters were empty and I had to ask for a refill. It was just such a poor experience with the service. We also ordered the braised short rib and spicy paccheri pasta we added shirmp. Again, the food was amazing but the service was horrible. Not to mention a family sat behind us and had screaming children, they also spilled their drink and it splattered on me. Unfortunate this was the birthday experience for my dad but I'm grateful the food was delicious! We finished it off with a great Happy Birthday Tiramisu. Overall, I would probably sit at the bar next time or order take out because the food is good but again the SERVICE was horrible! Also note we went in at around 2:50pm and it was not very busy so I'm not sure why our service was so poor.

Yelp
This review breaks my heart to post because I used to LOVE this place... thats why I was kind enough to give them 3 stars! BUT this restaurant SHOULD NOT serve brunch on the weekends! The brunch menu options are terrible!! From the servers to the food, and the outrageous prices, JUST NO! Let me preface by saying that the host Giana, and the buss boys are on it!! BUT the food runner that I saw scratch or pick his nose then bring me my food, to the server Jordan that was missing half the time... that didn't thoroughly take our order, she did the bare minimum. Unfortunately for a $200 meal for 3 of us, including a $7 breadbaskets, it was definitely NOT worth it! I should have known better when the spot across the alley had an hour wait with people pouring out of the place waiting for a table, we made our way with a 2 min walk to Mi Piace...which was empty during peak brunch hours! That should have been a dead giveaway! The topper for us was the 4 dogs we came across in the restaurant in the one hour time period that we sat there. 4 DOGS!! I own a service dog for my daughter so I totally understand, but out of the 4 dogs, only one had a visible vest allegedly stating it was a service dog! Not to mention one of the dogs that invaded our space was with an owner that was completely oblivious. It was all just too much! We definitely will not be rushing to brunch there again any time soon!
