"The menu at Mi Pueblito is vast, with Mexican tortas, traditional Colombian plates, Salvadoran pupusas, and more. Enjoy a torta mixta, which has chicken and steak, on the outdoor patio. The steak is perfectly seasoned, and the bread is light and fluffy. As a bonus to the great food, the margaritas are huge, and the restaurant offers a great selection of juices and fruit shakes as well." - Karen Wilber

"Mi Pueblito is a Guatemalan and Salvadoran restaurant, with two Eastie locations in Eagle Hill and Orient Heights. They’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which just means more opportunities to order pupusas, plantains, and bistec encebollado throughout the day. Everything here is as enjoyable as the original Bourne trilogy - that is to say, something you wouldn’t mind revisiting from time to time." - Joel Ang

Google
Great value. Amazing fresh limeade and a delicious chicken soup. Fast, no frills service, lively music and a cute outdoor dining area

Google
This used to be my favorite place. Changing my review from a 5 to a 3 because the price has gone up but the quality has gone down significantly. They continue to serve smaller portions and burned food but they have the money for a nice new patio seating area outside 😒

Google
One of my favorites since 2011! Haven’t been in a few years and coming back is as if I never left. Food as fresh and delicious as always!! Love this place 🌮🌮

Google
The food is absolutely delicious, great service, good music. Great spot to spend time with family and eat well. Highly recommend!

Google
It was my first-time tried mix Latin American cuisine. This place is pretty small but elegant from the inside. Generally, I am a vegetarian but when it comes to authentic food from different regions I do not like any modifications. We ordered Arepas all 3 which was one of my favourites and I will travel 1 hour just to try that, it was delicious, and great flavour. Margaritas and Michelada were amazing with huge portions. Service was nice and the server was very generous with illustrating dishes with patience. We will visit soon and it's highly recommended to everyone who are a foodie and wanna try great Latin American food in Boston.

Google
Margaritas are delicious, and the food is the best. The service is friendly, they come frequently to ask if everything is good if we need something else. I really recommend this restaurant.

Google
Amazing place to enjoy all Central American food. I love Mi Pueblito, you are missing out if you haven't been! Their pupusas, nachos, picaderas, garnachas, and micheladas pure yuuuumness!

Went with a friend and had a great time! Waitresses were lovely and always made sure we had everything, food was excellent and dessert even better! Very much recommend

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in east Boston. The food was delicious and very big proportioned plates, I can assure you none will leave hungry. The waiters were amazing, and the place super clean. Definitely a restaurant you must try.

Yelp
Delicious Mexican and Salvadorian food. Fast and friendly service. I got the Plato Mi Pueblito and my bf got the Colombian plate. I loved the shrimp, perfectly Salted. The steak had a few chewy bites, but a few really phenomenal bites too. I just wish it was more consistent. I stole some chicharron from my bf and it was really delicious. Some places over cook them but this was both crispy and moist. And while it seems simple, the rice was really nicely done too. Kind of stuck together, and not over-salted. We sat on the patio which was really lovely on a warm day. They have several ceiling fans in the covered patio, basic patio seating, and just the right amount of flowers to look polished. I would definitely eat here again

Yelp
Good pupusas, grilled steak and chicken fajitas. Drinks are very good for the price. Excellent service every time. We've become regulars there.

Yelp
Mi Pueblito Restaurant is a Mexican/Guatemalan Restaurant located at 333 Border Street in East Boston, Ma. I have lived in East Boston for so many years and passed by this place hundreds of times and even after moving away from Eastie, I always wanted to come back and give this restaurant a try. I finally pulled the trigger on a weekday night after taking the children to the park in East Boston. The night we went, it was windy and slightly chilly. However, all patrons sat outdoors in the patio seating area instead of indoors. Although plenty of seating inside, nothing beats sitting outdoors. I ordered the shrimp and oyster ceviche while my husband ordered the beef tongue soft tacos. I also ordered the Harina de maiz / Corn flour with pork and cheese. I would order this again. I also highly recommend the margarita. Probably one of the best I have had. I'll have to try more dishes next time. Excellent customer service as well.

Yelp
My friend finally took me here after promising such a long time ago. She told me there was a parking lot but by the time we got there on a Saturday morning, there was one very narrow spot. A kind staff member tried to suggest how to get in but then recommended the school parking lot just across the street. It was a kind gesture and greatly appreciated. For appetizers we shared Pupusas lorroco and revueltas as well as Chicharron con yucca frita. The pupusas were larger than usual and came out pretty quick. They tasted good but fell apart very easily. Chicharron was crispy with the fatty layer still slightly soft and easier to chew into than usual. I personally would have liked the yucca fried for longer so that I could see more of a separation between the layers but still yummy with the pink sauce, tomato sauce and cabbage salad. For entrees we shared Huevos con chorizo and Camorones Al ajillo. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the variety of textures, temperatures and colors. Shrimps we're plump and delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Staff went above and beyond to continually check on us and complete our requests. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Highly recommend checking them out!

Yelp
The shrimp tacos were superb. The red sauce they have there added the perfect amount of picante to the tacos. Recommend corn tortillas always. You really get the most bang for your buck here as the 3 shrimps tacos also come w/ red beans and rice. So come with an empty stomach. Pina colada was decent but more on the watery side. Would recommend a frozen margarita instead. Very cute interior with the booths.

Carmen A.

Yelp
Amazing food. Deliveries are immaculately]laced I, order. Their Piña Colada is delicious, for the most part, service is good. They tend to forget about you at țimes.

Yelp
Hidden FEES alert!!! Went there for hubby's birthday. The food was okay not the greatest but not the worst, Salad that came with the food on the plate was really old. It tasted like it has been left out for a long long time. Decent price tho for the food but it adds up. We were slap with something called the leverage fee which we had to ask what's it. We found out it was a fee for using credit card but there were no signs regarding extra fee for using credit card anywhere not on the menu or the restaurant. We had cash with us. We saw it after they charged our credit card. We were 3 adult and one toddler but was automatically charged with 18 percent tips which was fine. But on the final credit card signature portion slip asks for more tips. I had to remind my husband we paid tips already and no need to pay for more tips. So be AWARE! Will I go back, probably no. The tip and hidden fees are getting out of control.

Yelp
My Mexican friend said the menu/pictures don't look too authentic. But I think the food is not bad. I got the huevos rancheros. It came with tortilla. The tortilla is ok. Everything else is pretty good. The price is good for the portion. They have a small parking lot and 2-hour street parking outside.

Lillian C.

Yelp
This is still my all time favorite: chilaquiles con pollo. Before and even after the pandemic, this dish has been consistent. I haven't been here in a long while. The tortillas taste like they are freshly fried and are crispy. The orangey colored salsa is a medium to hot heat. It makes me tear up every time, but I think that's what I love about this dish. I just crave it because it's not just the heat, it also packs a lot of flavor. The crema and cortija cheese compliment the salsa by balancing out the heat with some coolness. The chicken is grilled and seasoned well. The egg, white rice, and scallion are delicious too. If you do not handle heat well, do not order as is. Yes, the pupusas are also delicious here. Venture out to other dishes. That's my advice. This Rican approves!

Hector C.

Yelp
Overprices and terrible. $14.99 Steak burrito where's the beef, $15.99 for steak quesadilla. With tax $35. Last time

Ibraaheem N.

Yelp
Nothing but love! Me and my family enjoy coming to this restaurant every single time. A true cultural feel and the staff are super nice and welcoming. The crispy shrimp tacos are #1!!!

Juanita B.

Yelp
Good is very delicious. Always nice hot and fresh. Drinks are a reasonable price and a nice hang out spot for lunch. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate if you don't speak Spanish. One of favorites is tacos

Matt D.

Yelp
This is a mom-and-pop, homey type of place. It has some of the better Latin American food in East Boston. It consists of one medium-sized room with the kitchen on one side near the entrance. The food here is very good and the prices are not bad either. There's a few parking spaces next to the restaurant, otherwise you can park on the street. It's somewhat of a walk from the blue line. I like getting the tacos with a margarita. Great for a casual lunch.

Geo R.

Yelp
I got a take out today, and everything is good as walkways, but the Burrito supreme, I ask for mixed chicken and beef but instead I got a rice and been burrito ‍‍

Marty S.

Yelp
Good food. Good staff. I recommend to anyone in the area to try them out! They exceeded my expectations.

Kevin C.

Yelp
This place has amazing food and amazing service to the guests. I go there often to eat lunch or dinner and each and every time my expectations are met. My favorite thing to order is the beef burrito. The pupusas are also really good and I've been told by many Salvadorean Friends that they are extremely authentic. The service is fast and attentive and I have had no issue as of this day. Parking is a bit hard to find occasionally, there is street parking, and on-site parking (limited) but after 5 p.m. you can park in the school parking lot nearby. Overall great place.

Jack K.

Yelp
The most authentic latin food in Boston. Margaritas, carne asada, popusas were all top knotch. I loved the family-style environment. Definitely hit Mi Pueblito is you are looking for that south-of-the-border feel!

Daniel I.

Yelp
Took my girlfriend to this fine establishment... it was top rated Salvadoreño food in the Área ..we started off with a Piña colada Virgen .. it was so fresh and delicious home made.. our server Maria was fast and friendly... We started with the pupusas revueltas ... they came out hot and fresh.. my first bite took me to heaven the pork and beans with the cheese created mind blowing taste.. after we go the ceviche we were disappointed that it did not come with the jumbo shrimp but it was still great .. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good they had great Music playlist ... including yandels 2002 classic te suelto el pelo ... this place was good we shall come again for the seafood soup.. the reason for 4 stars they had no soups

Kristin W.

Yelp
When we first moved to Eastie we would go to La Hacienda pretty regularly, but we haven't been there once since we discovered Mi Pueblito. Our favorite thing to get is the super fajita combo which is enough to feed 3+ people if you get extra tortillas. It's great as takeout, and even better on the patio with chips and salsa and a margarita or michelada. Everything is super flavorful and filling, and the portions are amazing so we always have leftovers. I really love this restaurant and it's quickly becoming one of our go-to spots.

Jen C.

Yelp
DISGUSTING ABSOLUTELY REPULSIVE. There are better Mexican cuisine in Mass. Do not recommend, please go else where. The food and customer service was horrible. I also found hair in the fajitas plate and they didn't do anything about it for an extended period of time. They decided to say that the manager wasn't present and because of that we had to pay for something we didn't eat. The check and food took long for the amount of people already in. REPUGNANTE ABSOLUTAMENTE REPULSIVO.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
They have two locations, one down maverick and one in orient heights. Both are equally delicious. Super flavorful food, great drinks, better prices, and the staff is very accommodating.

Sandy C.

Yelp
We arrive at BOS Logan Airport on a Thurs night and hadn't eaten a real meal all day. Found this spot in East Boston just a few miles away and so glad we came here! It was a small quaint restaurant with music playing, soccer games playing on 2 screens, and several tables were taken up by locals. We ordered 3 papusas, one of each flavor, chicken & beef quesadillas, and caldo De res (beef soup). Everything was delicious! The cheese on the papusas was AMAZING. The meat in the quesadillas was yummy. The beef in the soup was tender, flavorful and melt in your mouth. The soup had corn and yucca as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed. They have a small lot in back and street parking, and they take credit cards.

Craig P.

Yelp
Easily my favorite latin American place in East Boston (there's a bunch), however these guys stand out with a family welcome, huge portions of top quality homemade Mexican food and massive Margaritas. Love this place.

Michael S.

Yelp
Way too expensive for what it is. Price is different every time you go. Online menu is about 50% less than what you are charged upon arrival to pick up your food. People there will.look at you like it's your fault when you mention it to them. Have fun.

Bond J.

Yelp
I've probably eaten here more than 100 times now. The tacos are good about 85% of the time, but they are really inconsistent with the amount of meat they give or the quality of the pork. A few nights ago it was amazing. The tacos were loaded with meat and the pork has some burnt edges. Yummy! Overall though the tacos are very expensive for the amount of food you get ($2.50 each) - they are tiny. A man needs to order at least 6 and probably 4 for a woman. I only get tacos here.

tabatha f.

Yelp
Delicious and Fresh. Kind and inviting staff. Always hits the spot. Try any shrimp dish. Or the nachos.

Manoj B.

Yelp
An amazing Mexican Restaurant hidden away in East Boston. Nice atmosphere and good service. We had the Camarones a la diabla (Shrimp in Hot Sauce) along with Shrimp and Pollo Tacos. Generous portions and the flavors were authentic. Just awesome!

David S.

Yelp
Place caught me off guard. Like the scene in The Hangover when you think Mike Tyson is being friendly with Alan over stealing his tiger, then straight uppercut knocks him out! I walked into a FESTIVE atmosphere! Vibrant, jovial, alive!! We were immediately seated, despite the busyness. Drinks were promptly taken. The menu is extensive...variety! They have PAPUSAS! Of course we ordered them. Authentic slaw, mouth watering au jus, and perfectly portioned mass cakes of goodness! The feast de resistance came shortly after. The torta was honestly not the absolute best I've ever tried, but it was fresh and delicious. Nothing to deduct. The camarones a la diabla were fresh and had a nice kick. Not too spicy, by any means. If you're looking for authentic cuisine, quick service, and a celebratory atmosphere...come here!! It's a spot that's hot!

Jessica K.

Yelp
My boyfriend found this tag from an old rag? towel? in his chicken fajita plate. We had to stop eating and we're not sure if we'll return. It's just too bad because the food (especially the pupusas) was really good. Definitely not "smart. safe. sanitary."

Edwin E.

Yelp
Mi Pueblito is a great family restaurant. Good food, good drinks and good music from a jukebox and friendly staff! The place is a little small and can feel a little cramped during weekends during lunch but you can always wait for 10min and guaranteed you'd get a table. Weekdays, its mid full. You will see lots of hispanos/latinos, I know it can be overwhelming, but don't panic. That just means, its 100% approved!!! (It's basically like walking into an authentic asian restaurant like a Dim Sum or Korean place, if you don't see asian customers sitting down and eating, would you feel confident of eating there?! Point exactly) Enjoy!!!

Bailee P.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. Eastie really does have the best tacos and quesadillas (try and prove me wrong). We got quesadillas and tacos from here. The pico de gallo and the guac were so good. The chicken quesadillas had sautéed mushrooms in it which really added a new level of flavor. The shrimp and chicken tacos were also both really good. A little off on the corn tortilla/filling ratio but still enjoyed immensely!

Yelp R.

Yelp
1. Lunch order took a long time. 2. Order was wrong. 3. When I called later to complain, manager made it seem as if I was some type of scammer trying to get a free meal. I went there for lunch. Won't ever be going back. They did not seem as if they cared that they made a mistake with my order.

Azucena R.

Yelp
Ordered desayuno mi pueblito and asked for scrambled eggs with cheese. They brought me eggs with peppers and tomato. When I told them this is not what I'd ordered, they tried to blame me and said I hadn't read the menu correctly, which was not the case (I am a native Spanish speaker and I am fluent in English as well). They brought me back what looked like cheese featuring eggs. It was a greasy hot mess. Sent it back since I didn't order scrambled cheese, and they told me they would not fix it again, since it had already been fixed once. That's when the manager got involved (although he never spoke to me directly, just about us apparently as I could hear them from where we were sitting). Horrible place to eat with no sense of customer service. Don't waste your money. Sad thing is that this place used to be good.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
This is the worst Mexican food IThat I have ever had I actually couldn't even eat it the chicken it was so tough it was like trying to cut rubber with a knife The burritos we ordered we're flavorless and when I called back to discuss my issue with the chicken there was no manager available to speak to me on top of that I had to wait 45 minutes for an order they said would be ready in 10 this place is horrible.

Beatriz M.

Yelp
The best tacos in East Boston! I love coming here with my family. The children love the food, and the food doesn't usually take long to arrive. They serve alcohol too, which is a plus on a Friday night!

Nelson R.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years! And nothing's changed... Beer is always cold and we had a meat sampler which was delicious! Def plan on coming back more frequently.

Luis C.

Yelp
Horrible food and experience. I ordered take out and received old tasting and looking food. Very unhappy by the time I noticed what my food looked like.

Karla B.

Yelp
We visited this place hoping to get good salvadorian food, the chips and salsa were good. Also the juice of Maranon. For the rest of the food I got to say that I'm was disappointed, I made the mistake to order two tacos of lengua, I'm from los Angeles, Ca and fortunately im super spoiled with amazing Mexican food, the tacos that I ordered here were disgusting, I just need to know who told the chef (if there's any) that you have to fry the lengua????? Come on!!!! You just killed the dish right there ( in a bad way) one more thing, we ordered pupusas to go, (not knowing that they were going to taste horrible) seriously the owner need to do something about, the over charge for the food, the pupusas are mediocre, super skinny and dry. I'm only giving you one star just because the juices were good. First time and last time. Over price food. The food taste horrible. The Mexican food that you are serving is not good it all. One more thing lol I ordered 10 pupusas and they gave me salsa and curtido for about 4 pupusas.

Vicki G.

Yelp
We ordered over $100 worth of food and got no chips! We ordered queso and didn't receive! Worse service ever! Don't waste your money!!!

Jessica S.

Yelp
The decor is cute, the staff is sweet, the music was nice and loud (the way u like it) the music was varied and chicken nachos were super yummy and the cheese was crispy the way I like it. I had a really nice fun time in a cute traditional looking restaurant. Would recommend. DO THE FERDY!!

Jason W.

Yelp
Had a DJ gig last night. After my set I went hard for the rest of the night. I woke up in east boston and needed something to eat. For this place off because it had great reviews. My food was great. I got steak and shrimp. The shrimp was small and I only got three. The steak was a cheap cut but was cooked very well. The plantains were amazing. Next time I come I would get something different. The food has great flavor. The look of the place is ok. They have two nice TVs with Spanish shows and sports. Spanish music might be blasted. Overall I will be back.

Maria C.

Yelp
Sadly a poor choice quarantine takeout. The food was terrible quality and bland taste. Yet we had a hefty bill! Won't be ordering from here again.

Riley Q.

Yelp
This place is definitely worth a trip to Eastie. No matter what I order, the meals never disappoint. The staff are friendly and hard-working getting the delicious food out to the patrons. It was wonderful to see the place packed, now that the worst of the pandemic is over.

Shawn S.

Yelp
OMG! The food here is divine! The chefs do Latin American food justice. I have been here a couple of times now and will keep coming back. Both of the times I got something with steak and the steak was cooked perfectly! Juicy and with the right amount of char. :) Very delicious! The service was good and friendly on both occasions. Also, this place gets packed quickly and there was a line when we came by. That's a sign of good food. :) Definitely one of the best Latin American restaurants I have been to. Also the prices are fairly affordable for the quality and portion of food you get. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. :)

A K.

Yelp
The food was a strict OK. We were in the area so we stopped by here. IS OK if you are in the area but not worth a special drive. I have had better Fajitas in the mainstream American restaurants.

Joandaly G.

Yelp
Since when are tips a mandatory 18% of the bill?this is a new for me, I didn't think that my service was great and my bill was grater than a hundred dollars because they increase all their prices by a lot! and then the bill comes with a mandatory 18% of the bill, they should put in the bill mandatory service charge and not call it a tip because when I think of a tip for me is an indicator of what I'm willing to give someone is not a mandatory $20.00 or $40.00 charge.

Dan G.

Yelp
I've been here twice and enjoyed both times. The food is so fresh and home made and they have a ton of options to choose from. Their horchata is also quite delicious. I don't know what else to say except that it is delicious and you should shut up and go. However, if you think any chain restaurant is better than an authentic one, please skip this and leave more for me.
