Mi Pueblo Restaurant

I was driving along, feeling hungry this morning and decided I had a hankering for a chorizo breakfast burrito. Is spot was on my way home so I stopped. The burrito was delicious. Their green sauce was awesome and I am always so happy to get a serving of those pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños. All of this with a refreshing Mexican Coke hit the spot. Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in a very long time!

I will say that I would give this joint a solid 3.5 stars. It’s pretty decent, much better than most of what you’ll find in Portland proper. I had the lengua tacos., which were pretty darn satisfying. They also came out quick and I was very impressed with their salsa bar. The place looks clean and is quite busy. I will be back, jack.

Bomb food, fast service, decent prices. Definitely a spot for take out, especially during the Covid pandemic, it has a VERY small dining area- but a nice outdoor eating area.

Got a chile relleno burrito was just full of rice hardly any poblano chile dissapointed not buying again

First time stopping off at this joint (have been to the market next door several times) to get an early morning breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. Egg, bacon, cheese and hash browns wrapped in a flour tortilla. Several salsas available and just as tasty. Will def be back to try other menu items.

Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito. Got only hash browns and bacon no eggs. Sad sad burrito:( btw the yellow stuff you see on the pic is cheese.

Our food was dry and tasteless, they had no sauces. Food thumbs down 👎 cute little waitress that didn't speak any English had amazing service. Communication barrier kind of sucked she tried very hard though two thumbs up 👍👍. I will more than likely never visit this restaurant again though..

Really good tacos, make sure you try a side of fried onions! After having lunch one day we decided to call in a last minute order for a family dinner, they were packed perfectly and they were very generous with extra toppings. Everyone was happy with dinner that night! Give them a try!

As someone who grew up in a Mexican household in SoCal, I was struggling to find a taste of home in restaurants up here in Portland. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place, the food is exceptional and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back and enjoy other items from the menu

I have been going to this taco place for about 8 years and it is always so good. They have a great breakfast burrito (I always ask for all three meats!). Their tacos are flavorful and have cilantro and onions topping it off! One thing is always ask for extra sauce! Their green sauce is my favvvv. I typically go through the drive through and call ahead of time so it is ready when I arrive!

Good food. Can be very, very l9ud at times. Service is exceptional the couple times we've gone.

First of all somebody ordered this food to be left at my house as a gift and the food was just thrown at my door, when trying to eat the food the meat was overdone and the tortilla was falling apart, to the point of it not even being a burrito anymore when I tried to eat it, as well as making my stomach very upset for last few hrs

Oh my gosh. I just had a great plate of carne asada fries. Muy excellente. The carne asada was delicious. No gristle with the perfect amount greasyness. Their salsas and carrots are on point too. I look forward to trying their other dishes soon.

I had the Mi Pueblo Carnitas Burrito and the beef is more steak is more like ground beef than cubed steak. The food tastes fresh but underwhelming...it's just ok!

I ordered carne asada sopas. They're delicious! Indoor dining is limited but there's outdoor seating and drive through available. Plenty of parking too.

This place is awesome!! Always ready with a great breakfast or chicken burrito. And the drive thru is so convenient!

Overall I had good experience at Mi Pueblo. Good food with lots of meat in it. Omar makes the best Mojitos!!! Very friendly staff :).

Definitely better than por que no and cha cha cha! I love how delicious and filling each bite is as this restaurant is my go to spot for Mexican food. You can get a vegan wet burrito for $13 with bean and rice. Very delicious and affordable for the large portion size! Free chips and salsa!!

Love them so much! Everything is amazing and all the employees kick ass. They really do an excellent job. We go here so much it's somewhat ridiculous. We can't hate, just what we love!!! Shot out for amazing food and great customer service.

The burritos were so good!! And we are from TX... LOL I ordered the asada, carnitas, and al pastor. They were huge and filling. We ate half for breakfast and the rest for lunch. Would recommend!

Ordered 3 different proteins of tacos: al pastor, asada, and lengua. The al pastor and asada meat was cut very small like ground meat resulting in less texture. The al pastor taste is lacking and taste more on the bland side. Lengua meat was decent. The tortilla isn't as toasted and very soggy.

The best Mexican food in Oregon! Everything we have tried has been so good. Looks like a tiny taco place but the food is delish!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place has the worst customer service; bitter employees with horrible attitudes. They will not help you at all when your order is messed up. Which is 97% of the time you get food from here. Their prices are different than advertised and usually are up charging for items without notice to the customer. Whether you order in person or online it's never a pleasant or satisfying experience.

My super burrito combo was way too salty, the ingredients were all over the place, and i could barely taste any rice. For the item to be almost 20 dollars it should've been at least okay. My stomach had been upset for the past two days. I strongly do not recommend this place.

So the food was good and made in a timely manner. The prices are fair but will add they use way to much garnish the lettuce and tomatoes are filling half the plate. Better idea throw a fork and napkin in the place of that look better and more presentable.

I freaking love this place!!! We come here often after playing disc golf. The tacos are delicious, the carne asada is on point, and their red salsa is perfect spicy. And Rose is the best customer service ever. She always goes above and beyond. She's kind friendly and it always amazes me no matter how busy they get she always gets it right.

Ridiculous-- waited 45 mins in the drive through for two breakfast burritos. Out of chicken?

We always go here and it's always been great but decided to DoorDash it and I ordered 10 tacos and only got 2 sauces when 6 was ordered and no limes were given.

This place is so good definitely better than Don Pedro and the pricing is good too. The pollo asado has a lot of flavor and the asada. And they're not stingy with their meat. Delisyoso!

Well....I could've swore I reviewed this place some time ago but I guess my memory must have eluded me....doh! So, without further ado, here goes.... I've been to this place on more than several occasions in the span of the last couple years. It's a good spot. Not sure how it has fared during the pandemic but usually has a fair amount of customers at any given time. It's a small place, so, it can get a little crowded. Probably be good to pre-order your food over the phone prior to beat some of the possible foot traffic. Me? I'm usually not that organized. I usually go here spontaneously when I'm passing by en route back to the casa. The food here is pretty decent. There is some good flavors to be had here depending what you are looking for. I'm more of a pork guy. So, typically, I'll order a dish some with type of pork in it. Their carnitas is good but can be a little dry at times. I really like their al pastor (spicy pork). Really good in nachos. I just had their pastor tacos the other day and they were pretty decent. They just needed to lighten up on the lime a little (a little too tangy). My wife loves their mojarra frita (deep fried tilapia) with extra Spanish rice. She gets it every time we go here. Agreeing with some of the reviews, their customer service can be a little suspect. Sometimes it's good and others is little left to be desired. There's been times I've gone there and felt I've created an inconvenience for the person running the counter which made these experiences a bit too awkward. Nonetheless, all in all, a good spot for a local neighborhood for good food. The price range is average, affordable. 3.5 from me.

First visit, decent food, RUDE young customer service girl, no mask, took FOREVER. I always give a place a second chance so I went back, and Second visit, no one came to the window for several minutes, I was looking up on my phone if they were closed before beginning to drive off when some lady slowly comes to the window, TEXTING ON HER CELL PHONE as she is asking me what I want, also with no mask, and I'm watching her look at her phone while I finish telling her what I want and wait in silence, then she just looks up and says "ok, anything else?". I should have drove off then but I was starving. The food was okay, rice were different from last time (other ingredients) which I found weird. and it took even longer this time. I was trying to help a small family business but this one is not worth any of my Time or money again, I'll go elsewhere where they appreciate their customers.

My go-to for breakfast burritos in SE! Have never seen another place turn food so quickly! I've called in an order and it was ready 10 mins later. They can also deliver to my house within 25ish minutes for super lazy days. Highlight of my experience with them has been when I ordered via Yelp and they called me directly to confirm my order. Above and beyond service! Consistently exceeds expectations for a small 2 person crew. Still need to pop in to try their dollar taco Tuesday!

Always hot and fresh. This place really makes my mornings! Especial pancake is fantastic, the breakfast burritos are sooo good and the prices are unbeatable. Definitely recommend! :)

We JUST moved to Portland from San Francisco, and I'm happy to say, that Oregon passes the burrito test thanks to This restaurant. The delivery guy was super nice, they are open past 8:00 pm where it seems like many places are closed by then, and the food was BOMB. I had the super burrito with chicken and my kiddos had a quesadilla plate and everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

This is a place that literally hums! The constant mix of chatter between guest and kitchen blenders on high to whip up magic sauces, is what memories are made of. This place is small, you have no option but to rub elbows, be polite and wait your turn. Most folks were getting their orders to go since the inside seating is a jigsaw masterpiece and some dare to attempt a seated dinner. We all like trying new places, but this one you can breath deep and relax knowing the food you get is classic, tried and true. No food experiments, no mystery meat, just consistent food for my belly.

the lady working the front is not very nice very aggressive when asking questions. Why is she mad? it's a customer service job.... la morra que trabaja de cajera tiene un caracter muy feo. Te habla bien atrabancada y enojada. Hace falta que hablen con ella.

This has been our go to for tacos since they first opened. I can't believe I haven't written a review until now. I've never been disappointed with the food here. Everything I've tried has been A1, just bomb AF. I found this place when I was pregnant with my son. He is now 6yrs old and this is his favorite place.

Got the super burrito combo and was severely disappointed. Let this be a forewarning for you all who haven't been to California or Mexico, this isn't that great of Mexican food and would highly advise you to choose another place. The burrito was so badly wrapped and felt like it was put together by someone who doesn't take pride in their food.

Usually I love this place & had been going for years. Ordered a breakfast burrito with asada last night. Lets just say itll be the last time I ever eat there. Been throwing up since 4.a.m its now 4 p.m. and I just stopped. FOOD POISONING SUCKS

This place has been on my short list of Taco places in Portland to check out. Tacos are prepared authenticity. So, if you're expecting a "healthier Approach to Latin cooking" vibe that, it's NOT. But, if what you seek is LA style Mexican food You've found it here. *Carnitas are GREAT, great spices, great execution, with corn tortillas and just the right amount of fat. Make damn sure you put the homemade Verde sauce on this one and a hit of fresh lime. Dear LAWD these are Good ! *Carne Asada is good...I'm a Carne Asada snob. I like larger cuts of Asada and a heavy char flavor. So, these are like a 4.5 *Al Pastor Taco ~ just as great as the Carnitas. Just the right amount of spice/sweetness and heat to these bad boys. The Best I've had in Portland. They offer you grilled onions and jalapeño as a side order for free. GET THAT! SAY YES !! Really LOUD. Put the grilled onions on your tacos..MAGICAL You can't go wrong with this wonderful home cooked Mexican restaurant. Home made salsas too! One of the best (authentic) Mexican food joints in Portland. Trust me on this one. AUTHENTIC and HOMEBOY Certified. Now, GO EAT !

Something has changed. They always had the best and crispy carnitas in Portland. Last order there were chunks of fat in the tacos. Ended up trying other options, but feels like they have lost quality

This is THE BEST most authentic taqueria I have found in Portland! The staff was friendly and efficient, the menu had clear prices and good pictures so you could actually see what you would be getting. We went for Taco tuesday where they have 99 cent tacos (you can pick pork or chicken) and they were absolutely delicious!! The pork was so moist and succulent but also had a little crispyness to the outside of it! We also ordered the chicken enchilada plate and it was a perfect portion for the price and with rice and beans! This is definitely our go to mexican food place now!

Been going here for 6 years. As of this last year it's been down hill. My order has been messed up or wrong 4 times in a row. The girls working later don't care it seems. The meat taste old and dry and rice is flavorless. Used to be amazing. Update to one star. It's such a shit show. Sad

The tacos here are amazing! The wait times are a bit long, especially if you come on their Tuesday specials. I've tried all their meats offered in tacos and chicken has been my favorite here. I've had steak and it was just a little dry. The shop is fairly small with a small parking lot too. I suggest anyone calling ahead, even then you'll probably have to wait another 5-10 minutes to get your food after being told 15 minutes.

One word.......Delicious Breakfast burrito was on point. Green Sauce yumm. Friendly staff. Very affordable. So many choices for Mexican Food in this neighborhood, but Mi Puebla is the spot! Be sure to TIP!!!!

This is some of the best Mexican food I've had in so long and this week I've driven out for it twice. The carnitas burrito plate is so good, my boyfriend also got the tacos and the ceviche tostada and everything was delicious. I especially love their salsas and that all of the ingredients are seasoned with the perfect amount of spice. I'll visit this place any time I'm on my way home from the river or if I stop up at Powell Butte. I want to try their breakfast options next or one of their soups.. everything looks delicious!

I decided today to try Mi Pueblo's breakfast burrito, without meat. I asked for only veggies, please. There were eggs and hash browns and cheese, but no veggies. I LOVE this place for tacos, I will always get them here, but this is my second disappointment with burritos. This place is two minutes from my house, and I have hoped for good breakfast burritos, but no. Nevertheless, the tacos are GREAT!

Got the breakfast burrito for myself and my boyfriend got the torta! Giving it a 4 simply because the torta was much smaller than we expected, but the burrito was pretty good! Loved that they were open late to satisfy our cravings :)

I moved to the area about 2 years ago and swore by this spot, but I'm currently recovering from food poisoning from the lengua tacos I received yesterday. While their food was delicious before this experience, we won't be risking getting food from here again :(

This place is totally legit, authentic Mexican fare at a low cost. It's right next to my favorite Supermercados so I had to give it a try. I had 3 chicken tacos and a Mi Pueblo carnitas burrito. The burrito was just ok but the tacos were great. They are small tacos, even for street tacos but everything is spot on. It's a taco and menudo place as far as what the locals were ordering. The menudo looked really good. Check it out.
