We ordered online. When my husband showed up to pick it up at the time it said it would be ready it wasn’t. They most likely hadn’t started it. There was no recognition of our order at first. He had to wait for a long time. Once we got it home the vegetarian meal had meat on it. So that wasn’t eaten. Clearly if you order vegetarian you don’t want meat. And it was the same bolognese sauce for all meals. It felt like some cheap premade pasta dish that they sprinkled some cheese and sour cream on and called it Mexican. We will never order from there again. It was not good plus one in our party wasn’t able to eat it. Do not recommend.

The food is amazing here! My favorite dish is the deluxe enchiladas, I get them every time. The atmosphere isn't anything too fancy, but there are booths and tables and the place is always clean.

The inside was cozy and beautiful decorated hand painted walls. Service was very quick and friendly. Plenty of chips and salsa while waiting. Drinks looked great, even though I didn't try one. Carne asada tacos were fast, very hot and delicious . Definitely recommend.

🌮 **A Flavorful Fiesta with Five-Star Service** 🇲🇽 I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at this delightful Mexican restaurant, and it was an experience worth savoring. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. The service was outstanding—attentive without being overbearing, and every request was met with a warm smile and prompt response. The food? Absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the lunch steak fajitas and my wife had the steak ranchero. Each dish was a vibrant celebration of flavor, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the fresh, zesty salsas. Whether you're a fan of traditional staples or looking to explore something new, the menu offers a satisfying variety that doesn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy and colorful, with just the right touch of festive charm to make the meal feel like a mini getaway. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a place where hospitality meets authentic Mexican cuisine, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended!

Picked up food to go on our way out of Lincoln and it did not disappoint. We came here because we wanted something safe for my wife who has Celiac disease and something that actually tasted good too. Well check and check! So many options for people who need gf food and even the chips and other fried things are safe! I got the Manadero burrito and a tamale and they were both delicious. She got the enchiladas mi Tierra and she really liked it, it’s nice to have another option than red or green sauce or mole. The rice and beans were really authentic and delicious, and the staff who helped us were extremely nice and helpful. Inside the restaurant was super cool looking and if we didn’t have the dogs in the car we would’ve loved to sit inside. We’ll definitely be returning!

Google
We were looking for a Mexican restaurant that wasn't closed yet and found this place. So glad we did! Amazing food, great service, huge portions, and so many food options on their massive menu. We will be back for sure. 🌮

Google
Very good Mexican food! Had a date with my wife here and we both enjoyed our meals, serving sizes were big, we had to ask for to go boxes! Enjoyed the atmosphere very much and waiters and waitresses were great. Overall I give it a 5 star for being fantastic! Took my whole family out again to this restaurant and we had a enjoyable time, the waiter and waitress were super on top of things, with refills and asking if we needed anything else, also very good and funny personality, we loved it 😊

They had better answer the phone before I turn up in person. That is a Carne Asada Burrito, not a Carne Asada entree. I excused this once, but this is twice in a row that we have been overcharged.

Yelp
There was a big parking lot outside Shared parking lots. We were seated immediately and tended to. Hubby ordered a modelo and I ordered a pina colada. Chips and salsa came immediately. Those were da bomb. Chips were fresh and crispy with three dips. Two salsas and one bean dip. All three were good. Couldn't tell of the two salsas were similar. Tasted the same to me. There are a variety of seating available. We were seated at a booth. This is a dated family style restaurant. The booth we were at had little cracks in the cushion of the booth likely further deepened by kids who were bored at dinner. Everything looks clean. My shrimp relleno tasted wonderful though the shrimps were a little small and overcooked. But they all had a good taste to it. Hubby didn't quite like his. He thought the beef was overly grounded and a lot of sauce. He likes his beef chunky for texture. Overall, I had a great time. Food took awhile to come. The

Yelp
We tried a rather newly established place for lunch. I ordered the taco, enchilada, tostada w/beef plate and the wife had shrimp relleno. We had a beer and a piña colada. The drinks where nice and the plate looked lovely. She loved hers aid it had great taste but the shrimp was overcooked and chewy. As for mine. I didn't like the beef at all. It was very saucy and the beef was ground so small overall it was just quite weird. Our waiter was nice and the new restaurant was nicely furnished and clean. Offering both booths and tables with a small service bar in the corner

Yelp
Never expected to be discriminated as we have been this evening (2/15/25) in this restaurant. We were astonished in a terrible way. Usually we don't go as a family, rather separate (for lunch), never have an issue...never felt discriminate by the employees before. Thank you to the table next to us that realized we asked to be moved or for a chair, so we weren't crammed in the booth of 5 of us.15 mins later the table gave us a chair since they saw nothing was happening. The table they refused us for a "large party" they ended up separating for 2 parties of 2. The food is usually wonderful and good portions....this time it was small in size and disappointing. The environment felt judgmental and unwelcoming. Highly disappointed and we will no longer be returning for lunch, dinner, and especially not with our children.

Yelp
I eat there almost every week. The staff there are great and the food is also great. I have never had a bad meal. The interior is decorated nice and is always clean. You also get free chips and salsa.

Yelp
Always great food, super service, big portions, decent prices. It's my go-to place in town for Mexican food.
google avatar

Kathy D.

Yelp
Chips and salsa so good, the chips is the best in town, warm and the perfect amount of crunch, best part is? They're so on top of refilling it! The margs are strong here, and the food is so reasonably price for the amount and quality of it! I highly recommend coming here, the staff are so great!

Barbara P.

Yelp
The menu is large and filled with many seafood, beef, and pork items. I have tried many items on the menu. I even get to try food that is not offered in other Mexican restaurants. All the food is great, and they offer two salsas and refried beans with the chips. It is a great treat to have with their really great margaritas.

Yelp
Everything was great! Service was quick and friendly.. cute cozy atmosphere.. our table was so full.. there was no more space on it because the plates and portions are huge... after a making two tacos, I was so full because they brought us two types of complimentary salsa, bean dip, and we got queso and jalapeños which were all tasty! We almost finished the whole basket of chips before our food came and by then we didn't realize how much was coming our way lol We took a bunch of left overs home and next time we will probably end up sharing a plate!

Yelp
I went here a few days ago with my brother. It reminded me of real authentic Mexican food back home in California! The service here was outstanding. Different workers were coming by our table often, checking to see what we needed or to clear of what we didn't need any longer. We started out with drinks and appetizers. I had a Dr. Pepper and water. Refills were never a problem and did not have to wait long when requested. They gave us free chips and salsa, along with three dips, which included regular salsa, spicy salsa, and bean deep. We even got refills on this. Also got a clam order, I tried one and definitely was a unique taste. My brother liked it more. For the main plate, I ordered the enchilada molé, beans, and rice. I loved all the flavors. My brother had Carne asada fajitas, beans, and rice. We both tried each other's plates and enjoyed them equally! The restaurant had a nice modern day decor and we did not feel rushed as we stayed a while to enjoy each other's company. We had plenty of food to go. It was so good, that about an hour after we got to my brother's, we finished our leftovers!!! Delicioso!!! The highest marks for this restaurant and we will be back in the near future when I can return!!! Gracias por todos Mi Tierra!

Yelp
I have been to Mi Terra twice, one was when i just freshly moved to lincoln and felt very out of my element. We were welcomed by an older lady and she just made us feel right at home. They served this immaculate chips & salsa that just keep on coming with the side of refried beans. Our booth both times was very clean & they are quick to take unwanted plates away. The decor & inside feel of the restaurant is amazing. Now onto the food , they have a giant menu which could seem daunting but everything is organized & there are so many options and combo choices. The food portions are huge and leave you stuffed and full even enough to take part of it home. The food is delicious, i ordered the Fajita Trio combo & it came out sizzzling! It was one of the best experiences i've had. The food comes out relatively quick to be cooked to order. The older gentleman (who i think might be the owner) walking around is such a sweet soul. I highly recommend this place & will bring everyone i know & their mothers here.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food anywhere. Large diverse menu. Great margaritas. Happy hour prices before 7:00 Place was very busy but we got a table right away.

Andrea R.

Yelp
Super yummy as always. Love the bean dip that comes with the chips and salsa and I can eat gluten free and not get sick!

Doug S.

Yelp
This is our families favorite Mexican food restaurant. It is a family run business and they make the best authentic Mexican food. You start out with chips salsa (spicy and mild) and bean dip. It is hard not to fill up on chips and salsa but trust me you want to have room for your meal. The food is absolutely amazing. In my opinion, it is the best Mexican food restaurant in Lincoln and my family makes it a point to try them all.

Yelp
84th and Holdrige location- Clean and new! Service was quick and attentive. Started with hot & mild salsa with bean dip and chips while we searched the GIANT menu. I got the Mi Tierra Appetizer platter and it could have fed our whole table on that alone. The portions are huge! That said, I didn't care for the ground beef used on the nachos. Not much flavor. The shredded beef in the flauta was much better! We did have one order come out wrong, but it was corrected. The bathrooms were squeaky clean.

Yelp
I met with friends here quite by accident today. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu. There is a small portion of the menus for vegetarians. I had the squash blossom quesadilla without mushrooms. First, I'm impressed that there were squash blossoms in the menu, then the quesadilla itself was delicious. The refried beans and rice are mediocre. The service was fantastic. My friends, who ordered other menu items were very happy with their food. My margarita was also delicious. A great surprise find for a Sunday lunch.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Chose this restaurant for the GF options advertised. Son with Celiac ordered GF entree from menu, informed server of his needs and got glutened. His gluten sensitive relative also ordered a GF entree and had no issue. It's almost more scary when the staff doesn't know what has gluten and what doesn't. Obviously something got put in the enchilada entree that was not GF as my son ate nothing else. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.. Just don't trust that you won't be glutened here if you have Celiac.

Harry F.

Yelp
Had a great experience getting takeout, staff was friendly and food was ready a matter of minutes after I arrived. I ordered the steak quesadilla, and it was amazing! Overall, a great experience.

Paul K.

Yelp
The service was very slow and the fajitas resembled cat food and arrived in a plate of grease.
google avatar

Daniel Z.

Yelp
First time in and was very surprised. Greeted by s very nice older man who filled our water throughout. He also provided us chips, 2 salsas and a bean dip which were outstanding. Hot one was the bomb. I had a beef burrito covered in cheese that was very good but small but also price appropriate. The rice and beans were very good as well. Did I mention they had Coke Zero? Great service, neat place.

Gretchen P.

Yelp
Excellent service, Regional specialties. Complementary tortilla chips with hot refried beans & the best salsa in town. We dine at Mi Tierra's several times a month & it's always a pleasure. My personal favorite is the chicken mole, a perfect balance of cinnamon, cocoa, chile spiciness.

Yelp
I wish I could rate this place a six stars out of five!! The BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot! The people are unbelievably kind and you feel like you're at your own family home when you're here. Today was my sixth or seventh time coming here and one of the servers actually knew my exact order, talk about hospitality!! It also never takes more than MAYBE 15 minutes for your food to get brought out to you. Honestly, I can NOT recommend this place enough. Please support their local business!
google avatar

Chris Z.

Yelp
The food is very good, great portions. Awesome drinks! A true family operated gem! Can't go wrong with this place.

Yelp
This is a New Mexican restaurant in Lincoln. We read a review in the local paper and decided to stop in. They don't have their liquor license yet, so I could only give them four stars. We will go back when the get it and try their margaritas. That'll give them the chance to earn that fifth star. The food is good and the atmosphere even better. See the photos. We arrived early on a Saturday and were able to get a table. Not long afterwards there was a 45 minute wait time. So go early. Well worth stopping in for dinner
google avatar

Yelp
Best Mexican in Lincoln. Great service every time. Quality food and really nice staff. Good for early in or take out.

Yelp
Hands down THE BEST Mexican restaurant in the city of Lincoln!!!!! The food was absolutely amazing and authentic, 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Robert H.

Yelp
Great selection of sit down dining. Best margaritas I've had in Lincoln the "Mi Tierra" is my favorite. They have pozole, my favorite soup!! Huge burritos. Small minus that they don't have lengua, birria, or cabesa.

Kelly E.

Yelp
Great place! This is a family-run business with amazing and flavorful food! I believe they opened a second location.

Scott P.

Yelp
We were in town visiting from Kansas City a couple of weeks ago and this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to!!! Waitress was the rudest I think I've ever had in my life!! Food was just OK, nothing to get excited about. I will not be back and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Scott N.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. It seems like a family run business and everyone was very nice. The chips were served up warm and the mild and the spicy salsas were tasty as was the refried beans (three bowls for chip dipping!). I ordered the Seafood Chimichanga. The serving was humongous! Seriously, this dish was enough for two. There were two chimichangas on the plate along with rice and refried beans. I was supposed to have a choice between refried and black beans, but I was not offered a choice, so refried beans is what I got. The meal was served very hot, which I appreciated. The chimichangas were covered with what is called "seafood salsa", a thick sauce with seafood flavor. I couldn't tell what was in the chimichanga. It was supposed a mix of crab and scallops. It looked brown, like meat. I really couldn't tell, but the flavor was okay... but for one issue. The meal was overly salty. I worked my way through one chimichanga, but it was a struggle. I ate it because I was very hungry, but I wish I had stopped sooner. I was uncomfortably full after just one. I debated over taking the leftovers back to the hotel and decided what the heck. The next night I was exhausted after working very long hours. I was too tired to go out for dinner. I grabbed a knife and fork from the breakfast area of the hotel just in case I decided to eat the leftovers. I couldn't. I didn't even pull it out of the fridge. The thought of eating the leftovers left me feeling queasy; I couldn't bring myself to reheat and eat them. I preferred to go to bed without dinner. The menu is huge, so perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing. I don't live in Lincoln, but if I find myself in Lincoln again with a craving for Mexican food, I will look elsewhere.

Yelp
Terrific service that is quick and friendly! the food is delicious, and wonderful quality at a great price!
google avatar

Lina S.

Yelp
Great margaritas and a respectable number of vegetarian options! As a vegan, I wish I had been told on the menu that the vegetable fajitas came from the kitchen topped with melted cheese, but I ate around it. I loved the chips with beans and salsa options that came out first. Their hot salsa really is spicy, something that is missing on occasion here in the heartland! I'll be back!
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
This place is really good! We were greeted right away and all through our dinner the staff gave us a lot of attention. Whoever was walking by would ask us how we were doing, offer more chips, water, and/or pick up our dishes. The food was great! We had a variety of things between the three of us and we liked them all. The carne asada taco, could have had a little more flavor but the meat was good and tender. We will definitely be back and you should check it out!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
We love this place. Wonderful happy hour. Fresh chips and salsa and bean dip. The margaritas are always good and they have so many options! It's always busy, so you know it's good. We had a large party and all had different things-all were good!

Cristi H.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! Yelp helped us find a favorite to add to our restaurants tonight. A family atmosphere with great service and huge portions. The salsa had great flavor. You are served a mild, a spicy salsa and warm beans with your chips. The best part was having leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I forgot to mention the reasonable prices! Try it one night... you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Overall, it was a great experience! Fast, friendly service, good chips/salsa (ultimate litmus test for any Mexican restaurant), and good food! That's the thing though: the food was good, not great or exceptional. I enjoyed my Mi Tierra Special very much, but it wasn't life-changing. I'm glad I went here, but IMO there is better Mex in lincoln.

Kevin C.

Yelp
We were jonesing for a blue margarita. Mi Tierra opened this weekend at 84 street. We were promptly greeted and went to the bar for a drink. The blue margarita was amazing. She had the 16 oz pappy went for the 21 oz. Then the big surprise.... Free chips and salsa... Hot and mild... AND bean dip. All complimentary. It was killer. Salsa was not as thick as we prefer but great. And the heart chips were fantastic. You can scoop snow with them. Thick and crisp and sturdy. I would like more salt, but I'm always looking for high blood pressure and a heart attack. This was our first of many visits. Good job on the decor and maybe with all that glass... A little more heat. Service was fantastic. Everyone kept trying to push more chips and salsa. Any other night I'd be all over a dinner

Larry P.

Yelp
Awesome food great atmosphere, did not have to wait long for seating or service. Great margaritas.

Doug N.

Yelp
Don't know what happened to Mia Terra but the last few times we went here the food has been awful just went yesterday 5-23 around 2pm not busy service was bad food was worse green pork was so sour rice was so dry and there salsa's were so full of cilantro it all you could taste not sure if they lost there cooks or what and the north one on 84th is just as bad eaten here since they first open on south side but not anymore so sad

Cecilia P.

Yelp
This is the Chile Relleno I was served. Waiter was rude. In my 33 years of living I've never saw anything like it. The "cheese" was sour and slimy.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
The food was spectacular, and the service was exceptional. Get the molecajete mixto and be prepared to share.

Ann B.

Yelp
While the food is good, the servers are rude. They all seem frustrated, don't talk to you & then try to rush you out the door. I've been there several times but it's always the same. I won't be back.

Miss A.

Yelp
The food at this restaurant is horrible. Disappointing because it's near my home and tried it 3 times.. If you enjoy food that has been cooked with no seasoning then warmed in a steamer for hours and then covered in sauce this is the restaurant for you. Haven't been in Lincoln long but based on the Mexican restaurants I've eaten at much prefer Hacienda Real.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
I hate take out food...But this place, somehow, has great take out! Service is always good, salsa is bomb...we love this place!!

Yelp
Mi Tierra is located close to Mulligan's at the west end of the strip mall. It's the opposite end from Four Star Drug. Parking is easy for the business. My second visit was this past week. You're greeted by a host or hostess and seated. The restaurant is not gigantic but has a good selection of seating in booths or tables. The booths are personalized with MI TIERRA in block letters on the seat backs. Upon seating, we are provided chips, salsa and beans. I prefer the spicy salsa to the mild flavor. You also get water. I've had the Mi Tierra Enchiladas and love them. The chicken I choose works well. You have a choice of corn or flour tortillas on various selections of enchiladas. Only a couple of food options offer pork. I recommend giving this place a try. Portions are well sized and you shouldn't go home hungry. I haven't tried any alcohol here so I cannot comment on it.

Lauren P.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted by a very friendly woman who works there. The staff have always been very attentive. When we were there last I never even had to ask for anything because our waitress already inquired about our drink refills, needs, etc. The food is definitely the best Mexican food we've had in town. I love to get the Mi Tierra chimichangas! We've never had a bad experience and love to come eat here!
google avatar

Tony B.

Yelp
Visited Mi Tierra at least 12 times or so. Every time I'm amazed at the food. I'll say it's sure my favorite restaurant in town. The Caldo Siete Mares made sure of that.

Hailey S.

Yelp
really terrible experience here. went here after seeing a movie with my boyfriend and another couple. we were all stared at entering the building and chalked it up to be because we were all wearing pink. there was about 4 men working at the time who would come by the table and stare directly at my chest (note that i had a dress on but it was not provocative and covered my chest unless looking from right above me) this went on with multiple men for 30 minutes, they would come and offer more water when all of our cups were full just to stare at me. other customers noticed and said something and we all definitely noticed. my friend and i left the restaurant early with ruined appetites and left the guys to pay the check while we waited outside. this was a really disgusting experience and i would not recommend anyone to go here.

Yelp
The service is very good with attention to every detail. the margaritas are perfectly made, authentic and very well priced. Selection on the menu is typical of most Mexican food restaurants however they offer plenty of unique house specialities. Atmosphere is very decorative, and comfortable. The only reason why I did not give them a 5 star review is because the music was on very low so it was a bit uncomfortable to have a conversation at your table without the rest of the restaurant hearing. The food is amazing with loads of flavor and the presentation was flawless. I know we will be back To enjoy the rest of the menu.... highly recommend this hidden gem!
