"A D.C. Mexican cantina named among the previously announced concessions coming soon to the airport." - Tierney Plumb
"Ambitious, D.C.-based Knead Hospitality + Design brought New York chef Roberto Santibañez to town to serve as culinary director for this huge, artfully appointed waterfront restaurant on the Wharf. By adding blue cheese, grapes, and smoked almonds to a guacamole perked up with pasilla chiles, customers can try one of the more interesting variations of the avocado dish. There are plenty of ways to enjoy seafood by the Potomac, notably an entree of butterflied, roasted branzino painted in red and green adobo. A second location sits on 14th Street NW, where a mushroom-centric tasting room called Sagrada Mia opened upstairs this year. A third Mi Vida sits in Chinatown." - Tierney Plumb
"Described as a Mexican mainstay at the Wharf, included among destination dining at the Southwest Waterfront." - Eater Staff
"An upscale Mexican restaurant from Knead Hospitality will open in Philadelphia’s East Market development in mid-2025 as the group’s first location outside the regional D.C. market. The project is a collaboration between the restaurant group and Roberto Santibañez; the concept has grown to three D.C. locations since 2018 and will also be extended to a fifth location in Virginia Beach this year, along with The Grill. Both restaurants will be part of musical artist and Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams’s new Atlantic Park development." - Emily Venezky
"For a pop of color, you’ll want to visit the restrooms in Mexican mainstay Mi Vida’s original locale at the Wharf. Hot-pink doors direct patrons into a light and bright space punctuated with bright blue fixtures. A modern white trough-style sink is juxtaposed with a wavy, laser-cut wooden hallway for a trippy surprise at every turn." - Abi Newhouse
