Bella Trattoria Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"At Bella Trattoria, the housemade pasta could feed a bear fresh out of hibernation. The Italian restaurant in the Richmond is a reliable bet for dinner that won’t leave you hungry—or $100 lighter. Decadent carbonara and amatriciana with thick chunks of guanciale are on hand. There’s free bread. And the dimly lit atmosphere will make you want to pile all your friends into the black booths and keep the wine coming. If you’re looking for a midday meal or want to catch a game without defaulting to the illegal stream you found on Reddit, their more casual spot next door, Osteria Bella, has the same menu, TVs, a full bar, and is open for lunch." - Julia Chen

We had a 6 PM reservation at Mia Bella Trattoria requesting the booth to celebrate a birthday, and there were definitely some memorable highlights. The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious, the bruschetta full of flavor, and the house bread was unexpectedly the star of the evening. We also really enjoyed the Mango Mojito — fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. A special thank-you to the team for offering a complimentary dessert for the birthday — such a thoughtful touch! The eggplant parmigiana, Brussels sprouts, and potato gnocchi were decent, though not standouts. The vegetable pizza didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Our server was excellent — kind, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. Their service made a big difference and was one of the highlights of our visit. One suggestion for improvement would be around seating. We had requested a booth, but were seated near the open kitchen booth instead, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. When we asked to move, we were told the booths were reserved for larger parties — but later saw a party of two seated that particular one we asked to move. While not a major issue, a bit more flexibility or communication would’ve been appreciated. Also, sitting so close to the kitchen meant leaving with food aromas on our clothes, which may be something to consider if you’re dressing up for the evening. All in all, we enjoyed parts of the meal and truly appreciated the warm service from our server — with a few tweaks, this could’ve easily been a 5-star experience.

Came here on a Saturday night for a private party located in the back corner that can be curtained off and I had a wonderful experience speaking with the waiter about wine options as well as putting together a full course meal for the party taking everyone's preferences into consideration. I don't remember which wine I got but it was a Sauvignon Blanc that went perfect with the sea scallop risotto as the entree and the calamari for the appetizer and then the desert options came out and I'll admit I had a bit of everything and didn't have a complaint about any of them! If they hadn't come out with cappuccinos I would have easily passed out. The calamari here is absolutely the best I have ever had with its crunch and easy cut to dip in a light marinara sauce, I highly recommend. I was excited to see sea scallops on the menu and couldn't pass up them being in a risotto. I figured there wouldn't be that many scallops since when does any place throw down on scallops, and there were only two but they were large and seared with butter then topped with a seafood sauce after being placed on top of a creamy risotto with green peas in it to give it a soft crunch and if you like scallops and risotto you'll be very happy with this choice. The desserts were all good, but I think the chocolate lava cake would be the way to go.u only very slight complaint is that the tiramisu and creme brulee were not, in my opinion, as good as the rest of the food and experience. I don't want to say let down, but I would have thought those two would be my favorite.

Not your neighborhood Italian joint. The service here, especially Emilio, who was our server for the night was absolutely amazing. He gave us the appetizer special with their 4 best appetizers. Probably the most filling dish of the night. Honestly almost made me full for the main course. They took care of requests very well even though for not being on the menu. I ordered a chicken alfredo and they took care of it in the best way possible. All the dishes tasted amazing and the Mexican twist on all the dishes added for an interesting flavor combo. That was much appreciated. Our server Emilio was super helpful and explained every single dish to us in great detail. Hoping our service feel much more personalized and inviting. 5 stars tonight ✨

Google
1st time at this restaurant. Staff was very welcoming and cordial. Restaurant was cozy, clean and vibrant. My visit was during lunch, with a nice size crowd. Surprisingly, that did not affect the wait time for food and service. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Definitely will be back.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mia Bella Trattoria – Greenway Plaza for the first time, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. Our server, Emilio, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout our meal. The food was bursting with flavor and tasted truly authentic. It’s rare to find a place that excels in both service and cuisine, but Mia Bella Trattoria exceeded all expectations. I’ll definitely be returning very soon!

Great food, friendly staff with helpful suggestions, good happy hour. Our server, Dimitri, suggested a sauce for the gnocchi that was really good. Meatballs and brussel sprouts were delicious, ravioli were great but there were only two of them.

I’ve been going here for years. This is one of my favorite Italian spots in Houston. I highly recommend the cocktails on happy hour! My favorite is the Peach Bellini. My top two dishes are the Chicken Parmigiana and the Cilantro Jalapeño Fettuccine Scampi. They have great salmon and risotto as well. This restaurant is very peaceful, friendly, and clean. For appetizers, I always order a Caesar salad or the Mia Bella House salad. The Caesar is my favorite but every now and then the Mia Bella salad adds a nice sweetness to complement my meals because of the balsamic dressing and pears they put on the salad. Overall I’ve had great experiences dining at this restaurant!

We had a wonderful experience overall. The service was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and quick to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff really made the meal enjoyable. The food was good, though it didn't quite wow me. The flavors were pleasant, but I was expecting something a bit more memorable. That said, the dishes were still satisfying, and we enjoyed them. The interior design and table setting were elegant and inviting, creating a comfortable yet stylish atmosphere. It’s a great place for catching up with friends or having a romantic date night. The ambiance is perfect for both casual and special occasions. Additionally, the indoor parking is very close and convenient, which makes arriving and leaving hassle-free. Overall, it was a great experience. While the food didn’t completely impress, the excellent service, lovely ambiance, and convenient parking made this a place I’d happily return to.

Yelp
I love the layout of the restaurant and the open kitchen concept. The interior is beautiful with plenty of tables and chairs for big groups. There is a small and pretty outdoor seating too. I got their special lunch menu (it is like a business lunch menu) which comes with a house salad or soup (lentil or tomato), a seafood pasta, and a slice of cake. The tomato soup was slightly creamy and tasted good. The seafood pasta was filled with fresh ingredients and it was mild spicy, which was perfect for me. The dish presentation was ten out of ten. However, the warm linguine under the delicious seafood clumped together like a ball. Instead of eating the linguine in long strands, I was breaking up the pasta and consuming it in 1inch strands. As for the dessert, it had the right sweetness and the serving size was perfect after a big entree. My server was amazing. He was friendly and serviced with a smile. A complimentary fresh and yummy focaccia bread was served too. The restaurant is easily accessible via the free garage parking. Street parking is available too.

Yelp
Service & ambiance were great for a Saturday evening dinner. Pasta was good but in my opinion, nothing extraordinary. There is outdoor seating which is great when the weather is nice & parking is easy!

Yelp
From the moment we arrived, the staff were soo friendly and professional. The service levels were 5 Star. The staff worked as a team and our beverage glass were replaced every time they were at half full. The food was delicious too. We had the calamari for an appetizer (perfectly fried/seasoned) and then i had the house salad (fresh baby lettuces, tasty vinaigrette) and then, the FANTASTIC entree, smoked duck Tortellinis. OMG! Mouth watering. Even the bread seems like they bake it right there. To top all this off, our Server, Elizabeth, was so amazing. Professional and personable and never missed a step. She's everything you would want in a 5 star wait person. Can't wait to go there again. Only downside to the whole experience... the sound levels. It was lunch time and to have a conversation was almost impossible. it was louder than standing by a 737 jet engine. If they ever fix that, this place could be world class.

Yelp
Mia Bella Trattoria impressed me with their fresh seafood and warm atmosphere. The appetizers were a knockout - the calamari was perfectly light and crispy, and the octopus had a delicious char. The fresh-baked bread with the herbed olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette dipping sauces was a great way to start the meal. My entree, the seafood lasagna, was mostly fantastic. The tomato sauce was light and flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to a perfect tenderness. However, a couple of the other types of seafood in the lasagna seemed a bit undercooked for my taste. Despite the slight miss with the lasagna, the service was excellent, and the overall dining experience was great. They even have a convenient parking garage nearby, which is a big plus! I would definitely recommend Mia Bella Trattoria, especially for those who love fresh seafood. Just be sure to mention your preferred doneness for seafood dishes if you order something similar to the lasagna.

Yelp
So pleasantly surprised by this place! They have a nice patio that I brought my dog to. The brussel sprouts are so good, would come just for this. The bread is also delicious, I think it's focaccia. I tried the pesto gnocchi, which was really tasty and came with a giant dollop of ricotta, which I always love. I'm interested in trying all the other menu options!

Yelp
HH - the service was good. We sat on the patio and they had heaters that ran out of fuel. The restaurant is pretty chilly so bring a light jacket. I tried the grilled octopus and it's a no for me. The frozen Bellini was absolutely delicious. The bread they give you is really good too. You only get it if you order an entrée and they do charge for a second loaf. Overall not a bad experience, but I def picked the wrong food

Yelp
This place is has a cozy vibe with a bit of elegance to it. It definitely can be considered a neighborhood favorite. You can dress up or dress casual and still be fine. The food here is good and cost friendly. I have been here two other times years apart. Each time I go the experience is enjoyable. The only complaint I had this particular time was the food took long to arrive. They were very busy and may not have anticipated a Thursday night being that busy. There were lots of groups in there as well. The have a variety of items on the menu. Although I am not a vegetarian they had lots of options. Our waitress was a very nice Colombian woman. I can not remember her name. She was nice and gave good recommendations on my drinks. Calamari-7.8/10 Seafood Capalleni 8/10 ( a little more salt to the pasta water would have made it a 9) Chicken Parmigiana-8/10 Bread and olive oil dip- 10/10 Jalapeño Pineapple margarita- 8.5/10 Blood Orange Margarita- 9/10

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch today. There's a parking garage behind the restaurant and it's connected so you can take the elevator up to the 1st floor. Emilio was an awesome server. He gave me recommendations, but they were more seafood ones. When I told him I wasn't into seafood, he gave me some really good non-seafood ones. I went with the Beef Tenderloin Medallions with a mushroom ravioli in a peppercorn sauce. Amazing stuff. It all just came together. The bread with the sauce is pretty. It's like a sweet dipping sauce. You can also create your own pastas and pizzas. They do a good variety of foods.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this was one of my favorite meals of 2023. --- --- --- En route from the north side to the south side, we did what we always do, and planned a stop at a highly rated restaurant along the way. We heavily debated between a few different options, but ultimately landed on Mia Bella. We're so glad we did! Before I even get into what we ordered, I absolutely have to start off by mentioning our server, Munir. I told him at the end of the meal that he should teach a hospitality class because he legitimately treated us like we were A-list celebrities from the moment we walked in. He acted as if it was an honor to wait on us. He seemed much more like the owner of the restaurant more than just a server. After he brought out a couple of dishes, he said that he wanted to make sure we were 1,000% satisfied with everything, and that 999% was not good enough. The reality is, everything ranged from "good" to "OMG how does life get better than this", so I certainly was not going to send anything back that I found to be merely "good". Here's how the food shook out: Focaccia Bread: 5-stars. The bread was amazing and the balsamic that came with it for dipping was pefect. Do not come here without ordering this (I will be saying this a lot). Mushroom Risotto Croquettes: 4-stars. This was one of those just "good" dishes. And the truth is, I didn't realize that they had olives in them until the last minute, but my wife loves olives, so I went ahead and ordered them. I loved everything else about them, but I am just not an olive fan, which is more a personal preference than a knock on the dish. Brussels Sprouts: 4-stars. When we were looking at the menu online before we even arrived, we were talking about ordering the brussels, but we opted to go with the croquettes. But because we had the most amazing server, he decided to bring out the brussels, on the house. Not only was that an amazing gesture on its own, but it's crazy that he read our minds on something we nearly ordered anyway. We did very much enjoy these, especially since they were gifted to us! Chicken Parmigiana: 5-stars. This was explained as not a typical chicken parm dish, as the chicken breast is stuffed with a bunch of things. And I think it's good for people to know that so they aren't given something so far different from way they expect, but I am here to tell you that this is BETTER than classic chicken parm. Sometimes chicken can dry out, but this stuffed chicken breast was anything but dry. Every bite was just ideal. Again, don't come here without ordering this. And then I traded plates with my wife so that I could try some of the.... Seafood Lasagna: 5-stars. Honestly, more like 6-stars. This was one of the best dishes I've eaten in quite some time. I was already so happy with the chicken parm, but this dish topped it. Initially I was a little disappointed that we both ordered marinara based dishes, but the flavors of these two were actually great compliments of each other. It's hard to imagine a more perfect dish. DO NOT come here without ordering this. Prosciutto and Mozzarella Pizza: 5-stars. We ordered this for our son, with the plan that we would definitely be eating some of it ourselves. It was definitely about as close as it gets to what we experienced when eating pizza in Italy on our honeymoon. It was just a pinch on the oily side, but I did not mind that at all, as the taste was worth any drippage it may have caused. Note: we 86'd the arugula because who needs that on a perfectly good pizza? Italian Cream Cake: 5-stars. Normally, we would absolutely be ordering dessert, but we were both stuffed and decided against it. But our wonderful server was not going to let us leave without ending on something sweet. He asked if we liked coconut, and when we said yes, he said, "ok great, I will know for next time." And of course, 2 minutes later, this cake was on our table, compliments of the house. We were both so happy with it. My wife even said: next time you are buying me a birthday cake, this is exactly what I want. Because of the food and the impeccable service, I will forever think of Mia Bella as being one of the best restaurants in Houston, despite only visiting one time. Thank you again Munir for the red carpet treatment, and to the chef for the masterclass performance.

Yelp
We had a birthday party for our friend here. It's not the best Italian food I have ever had, but we had a great experience courtesy of our waiter, Andres. They put us in a private room where they keep the wine. Our group tried a variety of dishes and drinks. My blood orange margarita did not veer off to much from the traditional one although there was a slight bitterness that I didn't expect. We started with the appetizer special featuring calamari, brussel sprouts, mushroom risotto balls, and bruschetta. I think I liked the brushetta the most. The risotto balls did not have a strong taste but the brussel sprouts had a slight sour taste from the balsamic vinegar that is mellowed out by some cheese. I personally had the mezzaluna since the birthday girl went with the eggplant parmesan. I was jealous of her dish after taking a bite. My mezzaluna was mushroom based with a mushroom sauce with some goat cheese so it wasn't too heavy even after I added parmesan cheese. Andres mentioned that the chef was from Morocco so the spices in the dish were different than traditional Italian. I enjoyed it. My friends raved about their meals. I had a taste of the Tiramisu which was excellent. Parking was easy with the garage connected behind the restaurant.

Yelp
Brunch here is AMAZING! I can't say enough things about Mia Bella. Favorite restaurant in Houston.

Yelp
I picked up a takeout order of Angel Hair Bolognese with shiitake mushrooms. It was very delicious, fresh, moist without being too watery or greasy and good quality. Imo, one of the best Bolognese in Houston, along with the ones from Tony's, Candelari's, Roma and Damian's. The noodles were soft. The meat gravy was nicely savory and flavorful, but at the same time, not too salty or prominent in just one ingredient. It was very well-blended and still contained some noticeable aroma making it extra special and unique. The service was great and friendly on this first-time visit I finally made after driving past this restaurant for years. I will be back in the future.

Yelp
Uncle's night the kids. To go order. Garage parking, entry through back and right side of building. Big hit with the kiddos, they loved the fettuccine alfredo and I the seafood lasagna (wow) and we all enjoyed the mushroom croquettes and lentil soup.

Yelp
FIVE SHINING STARS ACROSS THE BOARD! I can't give ten, but I would if I could. I remember my first time trying Mia Bella Trattoria, and returning within a week. Yep, that's correct I went back immediately. Let's start with the amazing service from Amelio (please let me know if I spelled his name incorrectly, apologies if so). He was and is so pleasant! He also came by to greet us and give us hugs during our second visit. During our first visit we were greeted and seated right away during dinner. It wasn't too packed which is a plus. Our server went over everything and shared what some of the most popular dishes are. I'm listing everything we ordered during both visits: -Focaccia Bread (first order is complimentary, FYI) -Chicken Parmigiana -Seafood Lasagna -Brussels Sprouts -HH Aperol Spritz -HH Cosmopolitan -HH White -Cucumber Martini -Italian Cream Cake (Gifted by Amelio!) The food is damnnnn good! Like what?! We met the chef and he was so kind. Sir you really know what you're doing in the kitchen, please don't stop! HAHA! The seafood lasagna is so good I ordered it both times! Yep, that's me. Unwavering, consistent, steady, grounded. Trust me. Order it. Everything is delicious yall! THE BREAD! WOW! During our first visit we received a very pleasant gift. It was the Italian Cream Cake dessert and it is so good and moist. I don't even like coconut, but the taste was subtle. It's obvious (maybe?) that I love it here and I will most definitely be back. And I'll probably order the same thing. The decor is lovely, it's a vibe. Go alone, go with people, just go.

Yelp
This is my all time fav restaurant in Houston, I'm a Mia Bella's girlie through and through. Make sure to ask for the free focaccia bread when you go !! Service has been absolutely amazing every time I've gone, and the ambience is impeccable. They also threw in a free cake for my friend's birthday the first time I came, amazing amazing service. Brunch options are on the more affordable end, ~$15-20 for a nice ass meal. Expect dinner to be a lot pricier. I spent around $45 for pasta and appetizer, which was kind of a jump scare when I was initially expecting the $20 price tag LOL. Here's what I've ordered in the past... Appetizers: - Focaccia bread (free! 5/5) - Chef's board ($25, 5/5, absolutely recommend if you're looking for a nice charcuterie board) - Beef carpaccio (5/5, super creamy if I remember correctly) Brunch entrees: - Brioche french toast ($18, 5/5, one of the best French toasts I've had. I'm not usually a big fan of breakfast food, but the French toast was done so well) - Smoked salmon eggs benedict ($19, 4.5, classic eggs benedict if you're looking for something more savory for brunch) Dinner entrees: - Smoke duck tortellini ($29, 5/5, my favorite pasta dish here taste wise. I would say this dish is kind of small for a pretty hefty price tag, but the tortellini was so creamy and it just melted in my mouth, soooo so good.) - Penne al salmone ($22, 4/5, this was pretty good but did not wow me in terms of anything special) - Pizza is also delish, very good value Looking forward to the next time I come !!

Yelp
Mia Bellas was honestly a great experience. Went for date night, food was something ive never tried before (i got the veal) which was an experience in itself. Service was great! Ambiance was so relaxing, nice dinner. I hope once i return I find something on the menu I completely fall inlove with, which i think wont be too hard at Mia Bellas! 10/10

Yelp
The food was really good. However, the main squid ink pasta I got was quite salty. adding water didn't help. It was more a cheese-based squid ink pasta rather than oil-based, which prob made it too overly seasoned for me. I absolutely loved the bread they gave me though. it was so delicious. The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great as well. I do want to come back to try other plates. They have a giant selection of just about everything, from salads to pizza to pasta and even wine :)

Yelp
From the food, to the service, to the ambience this place was so nice! I can definitively say I'll be back! My boyfriend and I dinned for lunch around 1:30pm on a Tuesday. Wasn't a lot of people, but just enough. We started with fresh bread that they baked on request and their dipping oil makes Carrabba's dipping oil almost a joke! That's how great it is!!! They have a secret ingredient that I won't tell you about, you have to visit to try it. Then we had fresh Caesar salad top with anchovies and fresh shaved Parmesan. Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend was cleaning his plate! Lol! Afterwards, we had for our main course, the Smoke Duck Tortellini and the Cilantro Jalapeño Fettuccine Scampi. The pasta is made fresh on site. You can taste it. All of their sauces from the pasta sauces to the bread dipping oils are made fresh in-house and you can definitely taste it. We also ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc that was, the perfect pairing for the pasta that we ordered. We finished with cappuccinos and biscotti and you can tell it's definitely Italian coffee made fresh from their coffee maker. We absolutely love this place, definitely a hidden gem. We hope it stays somewhat hidden, because we love to get away to these quiet escapes for lunch and dinner. Can't wait to try them for dinner to see what the ambience is like. Our waiter was top-notch and exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about all the offerings and had great recommendations. We hope to have him again, he was from Guatemala, and was very well versed in all the Italian cuisines that they offered. Absolutely love this place can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
Omg I loved the pasta here! Everything was cooked to perfection. The only dish I didn't like was the squid ink pasta. The squid was very tough and the noodles were too Al dente. Everything else was so fabulous and I loaded up my pasta with fresh pepper crushed on top. The spumoni ice cream was so melt in you mouth delicious. They ran out of crime brûlée which I was super bummed about but everything was top tier flavors and fresh proteins. I would love to visit again soon!

Yelp
Sweet Jesus, the food is so good! Hubs and I couldn't resist everything recommended by our fantastic server (I believe Ellie was her name). The duck tortellini, lobster ravioli, and creamy risotto (added chicken) were all mouthwateringly delicious. The creme brûlée was recommended for dessert and it was incredible as well. Great wine list and cocktails. This is the spot for incredible Italian, bar none. YUM!

Yelp
This was my second time visiting this restaurant and both times, it has been an wonderful experience. For starters, parking is a PAIN in Houston but luckily for this restaurant and others, there's a parking garage that is complimentary. SWEET (money saver haha). Upon entering, the hostesses were very pleasant and helpful. They were smiling and courteous. Had reservations for Easter Sunday and was quickly seated before the reservation. We sat on the patio which wasn't too crowded. Our server (I forgot his name) was great! He noticed that was scrubbing something off my WHITE pants so he came back to the table with some Sprite and towel. That was INCREDIBLY thoughtful. FOOD IS GOOD HERE. Like really good. I ordered the seafood lasagna and my mom ordered the Chicken Parm. Despite it being seafood including clams, I was surprised at how it wasn't too fishy at all. The sauces and spices paired very nice together. Clams were good too. My mom enjoyed her Chicken Parm too. And the bread? Omggggggg, amazing with the balsamic spread *kisses to the chef* also got the Lemoncello Martini which is essentially a Lemon Drop, very good nonetheless. Highly recommend to any and everyone.

Yelp
Great Dining Experience!! From the ambiance to the service to food and drinks. Our server was very chatty but I think he wanted to make sure our experience was above par. The first order of bread is complimentary... but you'll definitely want more because it's that great. Everything was delicious and enough to share. If you are looking for great Italian in Houston, Mia Bella Trattoria is a must try. We didn't have a reservation, but for a Wednesday we didn't have to wait very long to be seated.

Yelp
Went for happy hour on a Tuesday. At 5:00 PM it was pretty empty. We were the only people at the bar. We split a bottle of wine as well as the HH goat cheese and HH mussels. I assume these are smaller than normal but still good. The mussels should come with bread as the sauce is so good. Free parking. Service was fine.

Yelp
Let me get the niceties out of the way first before I roll up my sleeves and pound this review out. Our waitress was great - very attentive, shorter Hispanic girl who was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms were clean, I have no issue with the design or presentation of the inside etc. However: this place should be viewed as Italian inspired food and trattoria should be taken off as it send the wrong message. We ordered a mixed drink and caprese as well as bruschetta. Neither were true Italian execution and really were quite odd. First the caprese usually is sliced burrata and tomatoes with basil. However, here it was slices of tomato (in equal amounts with random basil addressing it and pesto on the burrata. Seems like I'm being picky - but trying to slice the cheese and then the tomatoes and creating what the kitchen should have made this really underwhelming. As for the bruschetta - the crostini was more like a pizza bread and no stiffness to it - so it was like holding a floppy pita bread topped with tomatoes and green pepper?? In bruschetta? Again - Italian inspired. Now let me get to the most disappointing part of the night: ordering an entree. I always get the chicken parm. I pride myself on sampling every chicken parm within a 5 mile radius of wherever I am. Well - here they make it stuffed with mushrooms and spinach. Huh. So I asked our waitress if I could get it non-stuffed thinking I'd save the kitchen having to do all that. Waitress reported they come pre-stuffed and that wouldn't be possible. So let's think about that - the food they get the chicken breasts or cutlets come pre-stuffed and frozen which means it's not made fresh in the kitchen. That's unforgivable. I went with the custom pasta - fettuccine Alfredo adding pancetta. This was good - but very small, and the pasta was horrendously overdone. Sauce was good - though more of a liquid cheese sauce. We also decided to split a Margherita pizza (which are regular artisan size. This was the only thing that was fully Italian executed. We got dessert to go - a chocolate cheesecake and cannoli. Usually an order of cannoli is TWO. Here we got one. Better yet, the inside was hollow and the marscapone cream inside wasn't - it was a settled whipped cream. That was really not good at all and had no sweetness or flavor. The cheesecake was also underwhelming - but edible to a fault. So, with all due respect, the items are a one-off Italian inspired type of food. Pizza was good. But the rest, other than the service, was all wrong.

Yelp
Great place!!! Our server Alex was amazing! We have about 7 people and Alex took care of all of us very well! The food was amazing. Everything was cool well and was spot on with the flavors. Everything was served hot. Outdoor seating was also good and there was shade provided.

Yelp
Nice place with great pasta and also a fancy pizza oven that spits out deliciously roasted pizzas!! Their happy hour small bites menu is great and you should ask about any wine specials. The patio is perfectly sized for the perfect weather.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for a specific dish that we saw on Tik tok. Well, to our surprise this is a "special " dish that wasn't being served that day. Our waitress went talked to the kitchen without telling us and the chef made the dish for us! Awesome customer service! Our waitress was bomb! Ambiance was great as well. Definitely will be back to try other dishes.

Yelp
What a great place. Perfect combo of casual dining atmosphere with food that punches about its weight class. Wanted to try something new for my birthday, so found this place on Yelp and looked deliciously intriguing. I wasn't wrong. Our party started off with the appetizer sampler which had calamari, Brussels sprouts, bruschetta, and meatballs that had almost an arancini texture drizzled with a pesto sauce. The calamari was MUCH better than the mainstream nature that shows in the pics. While the platter was good overall, the Brussel sprouts stole the antipasti show. Roasted Brussels are soooooo overdone these days. But one bite, my wife and I looked at each other with an OMG expression. It was SO good. The other antipasti we ordered was two portions of the polpo (octopus). Man o man, one of the best plates of cephalopod I've had in a LONG time beautifully tender, still having a little of the prized gelatinous texture (Italian ambrosia), and brightly flavored with pickled red onion, diced tomatoes and an orchestra of seasoning. A must try. My wife had the seafood capellini. When it came out, it was plated with artistry, but didn't visually make you salivate. But...BUT...when you took your first bite, brightness, savoriness, acidity, sweetness...it was a neighborhood flavor gang jumping you at once. This dish was southern Italy on a plate. I had the rack of lamb. I ordered it med rare, and it came out a smidge overcooked. That said, I ate every ounce off of it, including gnawing the bones. I didn't care if I was in a restaurant, that's the best part and I wasn't having any judgement on my birthday. I finished it all including the polenta ingeniously married with the tapenade. Other dishes around the table were the lamb osso bucco (effectively a braised lamb shank), duck tortellini, and many other orders and variants of the seafood pasta. Everyone enjoyed their dinner tonight. And to pair with dinner, the Austin Hope Cab was the first bottle we ordered. Full bodied Cab with a long peppery finish, wonderful with our dishes. The vino crescendo was a bottle of the Machete, a wonderful red blend (and red blends are sorely underrated) that capped off the dinner nicely. Daniel was our server tonight and he was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, and super professional. Great guy, great place, great food.

Yelp
This place has some of the best authentic Italian food in Houston! Got the Squid Ink Tagliatelle pasta and the Veal Risotto, which were both delicious. The decor inside is very modern and chic. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Loved both of my experiences here! I had my birthday dinner here with a large group and another girl date with my friend. Both experiences were pretty great! The service was really great both times! Our waitress was very accommodating for our large group and came to check on us frequently! They were also nice enough to allow us to bring a cake from a different bakery and even cut the cake into pieces and served us! I had a little taste of several of the items on the menu since we all ordered different things, but everything was equally delicious! It doesn't seem like there is a wrong choice here! Worth every penny! I would recommend this place for both a casual lunch or even a fancy dinner!

Yelp
Pasta, pasta, and even more pasta. We cannoli try so much between the two of us. Some muscles deliciously prepared with white wine and that rich tomato butter as an appetizer. The gnocchi with a basil pesto and the salmon with roasted pepper tomato sauce just complimented each other well. A calm gnocchi to tantalize the taste buds while a roasted fiery sauce and salmon to savor and wish for more. Always down to try new places in houston, so if you have any suggestions or want to go on a food journey hit me up!

Yelp
Wonderful dining experience and ambiance here last night. The manager and Andres took such good care of us!! We started with the mushroom risotto croquettes. Wow! I will definitely crave those in the future. The focaccia bread was delicious, crisp outer yet soft inside and flavorful. My husband and I both ordered specials. He got the veal osso bucco and I ordered the sea bass. Both were INCREDIBLE! Those risottos though make my mouth water thinking about. The flavors marry so well together. And then the plating was super fun! We splurged and opted to add lobster tails to our meal and it was the best prepared lobster I've ever had. I would have loved to give the restaurant five stars but we were disappointed with the desserts. I had Italian cream cake and did not like it one but. He tried the cream brûlée and it was okay. Other than desserts, the food was amazing. Will definitely be back here again for another date night!

Yelp
Would be five stars for the food quality but your website is terrible, it is VERY difficult to order online off your website. You scroll through the menu, pick an item and it takes you to do a "review" and does not put the item in the cart. Very frustrating

Yelp
Came by on a Friday night with a large group. We were seated in the back. Parking is free in the adjacent parking garage and it's pretty convenient for the area. For food, we got apps of brussell sprouts, and calamari. For entrees, we ordered the chicken Marsala and a prosciutto pizza. Firstly, the ambiance inside is the modern Italian fancy casual feel that some restaurants have been trying to go for recently (think Coltivare, Sixty Vines, Porta'vino, etc). 4/5 Service/ our server kind of annoyed our table. We had a large table and our waiter kept speaking to us like we've never been to a sit down restaurant or know about the country of Italy at all. He then proceeded to push the branzino dish (fine) and then proceeded to grab a fresh plate of branzino that was for the table next to us and parade it around our table to show us what fish looks like?!?!? We've been to plenty of nicer restaurants and never had this happen; not only was it weird but it was off-putting and rude. I felt it reflects poor decision making, and left a bad taste in my mouth metamorphically for the remainder of the meal. The food; apps were actually decent. The chicken in the chicken Marsala was very over cooked and dry. The gnocchi were unfortunately undercooked and also somehow very dense. This meant it took forever to chew and also was a bit on the undercooked side at the same time. Their Marsala sauce wasn't great either. The pizza was cooked decently, toppings were good quality. Only suggestion there is to add a sweet element to break up the flavors that were slightly heavy. Overall, in my opinion this is another overhyped modern Italian restaurant that focuses heavier on aesthetics and hype than actual good old quality Italian cuisine.

Yelp
Business traveler and came here for happy hour. I am picky about my Italian food and Mia Bella did not disappoint. Had the meatballs and Brussels and house wine. All delicious. Bread and olive oil dipping sauce a plus. The best part was my server Jaksira who recommended what to get instead of saying "whatever you like" and was attentive, friendly and excellent. I will be back!

Yelp
I live near Mia Bella and come here pretty regularly whenever I need to select a place for a sit-down dinner. My entire family loves this place because the portions are on the larger side and all the food always tastes high-quality and freshly made. My favorites are the chicken parmesan (tender, juicy breaded chicken), octopus appetizer (light and beautifully seasoned), and the prosciutto/arugula pizza. I swear the prosciutto/arugula pizza is the best pizza you can get in Houston. It's always got a nice crunch and has a yummy drizzle of truffle oil on top. The other pizzas are really delicious too. Second favorite is the signature pizza. If you like truffles you'll like this pizza. Very nutty and savory. The vegetable pizza is good too, but I typically add prosciutto as shown in photo for more flavor. I've had some alright servers and some exceptional servers here. It really depends on who you get, but for the most part they are attentive and friendly! The inside is also very clean and modern. Great place for date night. Parking is easy. The parking garage is right around the corner and is free for customers! I'll be coming back here for years to come.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere! Excellent service, attentive server. Enjoyed a delicious classic Caesar salad with salmon. A great spot for date night or a casual evening out.

Yelp
Mia Bella is a cute restaurant for a bit of a nicer than casual meal out. I got the create your own pasta and tried the gnocchi bolognese with spinach, mushrooms, and Italian sausage. It was pretty good, but the gnocchi didn't taste exceptionally better than some you'd get from the store. My friend got the Margarita pizza and said it was good as well. However, the standout of the meal was the fresh bread and olive oil/balsamic/and herb dip. It was perfectly chewy, soft on the inside with a slightly crisp exterior, and so delicious! The downside is that they charge for every additional piece of bread you ask for (they gave one for the table). The service was fast at first for taking orders and delivering the food, but then they seemed to forget about us for the rest of the meal and drink refills, getting the check, and boxing our food were slow. The employees were friendly. I parked in the adjacent garage and didn't have any issues.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The food was out of this world. Pork chop was phenomenal and Ahi tuna was sensational. Our waiter, Andreas was so good. He did a great job. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out for quite some time and boy, it did not disappoint! The ambience is very nice. The waiters/waitresses/staff were all friendly. I came an hour before closing, but yet they were still so attentive and polite. I ordered the crispy calamari, half Caesar salad, and focaccia bread for the appetizers and they were all so good! Then I created my own pasta with fettuccine pasta and Alfredo sauce as well as added sun-dried tomatoes and chicken and my goodness was it delicious! My friend also had the chicken parmigiana and she enjoyed it as well. Also, having a free parking garage is a big win for this place/area! I definitely recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
