Miami Sound Bar

Was looking for a bar on a Friday night just to grab a couple drinks near our hotel. Found this place and gave it a try. Actually finding this place was easy to pass, it's a very small entrance right next to the pizza shop. Once stepped inside the sound is banging. It's a very cozy intimate setting. The service was awesome and the cocktails were great! I especially loved the breakfast club! We got here a little before 2am and there was only a handful of people inside. Within minutes it was packed to the walls! It is very loud in here so it's difficult to talk, but it's a wonderful vibe and a lot of fun! Would definitely come back.

This is definitely a hidden gem in downtown Miami and I would love for it to stay that way 😂😂 but seriously it is a cozy, intimate bar with great music and the drinks are really good! I got their version of gin and tonic and it was very refreshing! Their old fashions are also really good. It pays off to show up early like at 10 pm to get a good seat.

I live visiting this bar downtown when I have friends in town! Great music, good vibes and the cocktails are fabulous! It can get busy later in the evening and on the weekends but it’s worth a visit!

The bouncer was unprofessional and dismissive. Not welcoming at all. Staff at the door demonstrated poor customer service and a lack of courtesy. There’s no description of dress code or a certain attire needed. I was ready to spend money and check out the bar. A shame. A dead Sunday night yet receive this type of service. Bouncer needs an attitude adjustment by the way he talks to patrons.

I wish I could give this 10 stars. One of the best bars I’ve been to anywhere! The dj had the best vibes, music was great and overall atmosphere and drinks were excellent. Get there early if you want a seat as it gets busy! Kudos to the staff for creating such a cool and memorable space. I will be back on my next trip to Miami!

Made a reservation at 10 pm on a Thursday 2 weeks in advance for my boyfriend’s birthday. Took the brightline from West Palm Beach. Got there at 10:05 pm and everything was fine until a corporate party of 35 people arrived 5 minutes later, belligerent drunk, screaming and knocking over our table of drinks. They 100% did not have the space for that amount of people and kept the door open because more people were arriving on top of the 35 others. Will not be going there again and wasting $50 on 2 drinks for both of them to be spilled. We spent 15 minutes max here and it was a waste.

Spot has all the vibes and amazing sound! It was a little hard to find, the outside is all wood panels. Ordered a dirty martini and the pour was soo heavy!! It’s a little small but has space to dance and overall a fun night out w friends

Cute and intimate space with good vinyl music and tasty mock/cocktails. The bar tender nailed it on both and the service for such a small place with the amount of people there ran smoothly. Good times for sure and I'll be back. Enjoy!

This is my favorite spot to go grab a quick drink in Miami. Their drink mixers are made in house and make for great cocktails. they always have great music playing, but not too loud so you can actually have conversations without having to scream. My only complaint is the downtown parking is always a mess and this place suffers from that. don't be disappointed. If you see a line out the door that just means they reach capacity but there's always in and out so you should be able to get in in a couple minutes.

Nice little sound bar in Downtown Miami. Music is amazing and ambiance is cozy. However, I have to point out a few things: - its very small! I wouldnt recommend it for groups of more than 4 but it's good for a date. - the drinks are overpriced and VERY tiny. after spending $20+ for a 2 sip cocktail I had to ask the waitress what was their largest drinks... - that being said, not the place to spend the entire night. I would say have a drink, enjoy the music a bit and go somewhere else after!

I love this new trendy music meets craft cocktail lounge. The decor is super groovy 70s glamcore mixed with modern touches. It's very unsuspecting from the outside right next to a New York style pizza joint. This place actually feels more like Brooklyn than Miami to me which is a nice change up of the scene. It's very small and narrow and was a bit busy but the crowd were all super awesome and friendly, everyone let you in for a drink it was very unlike Miami posh uppity cocktail bar vibes in the best way. The drinks were really good and the staff all seemed genuinely happy. I want to come back for a little longer to enjoy more and maybe on a quieter night

This is a great spot themed after Japanese sound bars. It reminds me of Dante's on a much smaller scale. Good drinks, average prices, great crowd and great service. Highly recommend.

This has been on my list for a while. It's small and intimate. It's really a great place to get your night started with some drinks and good music. My only thing is that it's really small, but people are always coming in and out

Fun speakeasy vibe. Bouncer but friendly, inviting. Small space, and it was pretty full. Crowd seemed to be having a nice time and probably the perfect bar size for the space. Live DJ was playing but convo may be hard to have. Didn't stay too long, but I'd definitely return with the tithe people and stay a while. Like may reviews suggest - probably best to make a resy if you know this is where you want to vibe for a bit.

This place is great. They aren't this big flashy production which I like. It's sitting off second street and a lot of people might even miss the wooden paneling outside. Jon at the front was a good guy and gave us his recommendation on the big Mellon drink which was spot on. It's a good mix of spice and not. The first sip hits and then it mellows. Their take on a margarita. Got 2 of them they were that good. The bar is pretty well equipped to make most drinks as well so if you just want a glass of whisky they have some decent bottles. The bar is smaller I will say so it's intimate but not too tight. They keep the numbers in there to make you feel like there is still space for you. And the inside is great, nice and dark, the djs were killing it with some old Latin music you can dance or just vibe too. Definitely recommend for a different type of bar in Miami

I had no idea this speakeasy of a bar is across the street from me. I have already taken friends visiting me to this bar. It's a small bar, like a speakeasy. Classy and clean. The music is great, the bartenders are very nice and provide a very attentive service. I have not tried the snacks there but the drinks are great. My favorite is Platinum Negroni. I have tried Leaving on a jet plane (bourbon) and One Hit Wonder (rum), which are also great. I'm not a fan of bourbon but my sister and a friend ordered it (both separate times) and when I tasted it, the drink was so well balanced and the bourbon was not overpowering. Two times I went last minute without reservations and the hosts were nice enough to have us seated but I would recommend making reservations. I went early so I think it was okay but the bar gets busy later at night so best to make reservations.

I absolutely love Miami Sound Bar. I have been there 5 times now, and last night most recently. Each time is in incredible experience. Bartenders are attentive and skilled. It is always nice watching the DJs vibe to their art and watch the effect it has on everyone else. During the weekends, the crowd and standing room could be a pester, but it's worth it.

I love craft cocktails and trying something new, but I don't like anything sweet. The 2 times I've tried to order items off the menu, the bartender has told me "no problem, i can make the drink less sweet" but proceeded to serve me the premixed batch, which was too sweet (as expected). If you aren't able to make modifications, why lie? It's very disappointing not to be able to find a fun, drinking community. Especially when there are so many places here in downtown. It's a shame because i was excited about the hifi.

Miami Sound Bar is the newest hipster-chic cocktail bar inspired by Japanese hi-fi vinyl listening bars. I randomly stumbled upon it on a walk from Brickell to downtown and decided to check it out. The folks at the door were super nice. They explained that there was seating at the bar, and if that was full, we could sit at a reserved spot until the reservation arrived. The bar is small and cozy. The thing I loved is that for the bar being so small and the DJ spinning right there, it wasn't too loud inside. My bf and I were sitting right in front of the DJ and the main speakers, and we could still speak to each other at a comfortable level. The bartenders and servers did a good job of taking care of the crowd. They offer cocktails, wine by the glass, beers, and bottles of champagne. The cocktails are kinda pricey but very strong and tasty. They also have 2 Japanese-inspired snacks on the menu. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. It's the perfect spot for a date night or an outing with a small group of friends. I recommend making a reservation, which you can do on their website.

Love this hidden place! It's small and intimate. "Good vibe" music. The menu is small and there's not much alcohol to it, but enough to put you in a good mood.

Passed by for late night drinks and some of the best music in town. The couple cocktails we had were delicious and the staff are great at hosting and keeping the vibes high. You know it's great when it's packed with industry folks that have just gotten off their shifts. 10/10

If you are not paying attention, you could totally walk right by it! Inconspicuously hidden in Downtown, Miami Sound Bar is a super cool, chill spot to enjoy a hand crafted cocktail and listen to some awesome tunes. The vibe here is superb. The drinks are a little on the pricey side but well worth it. They have curated a nice list of keen cocktails which match the spirit of the place. But, if nothing tickles your fancy, they do have beer and wine available or your choice of booze. Although, I wouldn't ask too many questions about the cocktails themselves. I did and didn't get the impression the bartenders knew much about them beside knowing how to make them. The place is quite intimate. I imagine it could get pretty packed if there is no door management. If you are into music, this place is definitely for you. The place is set up to get the sound experience you are looking for with sound proof panels, etc. Miami Sound Bar is definitely a great addition to the area. I hope to visit again soon.

Music and decor is great. First time we went on a weekday and had a good time although the drinks are definitely on the pricy side. The music made it up for the prices. Second time we went on a Friday and it was a disaster. A line at the door and lots of "I'm friends with so and so" people skipping the line. Inside the bartender gave me a huge attitude when I added a drink to our order. I don't want to hear " ARE YOU DONE NOW??" when I'm spending $30 on a drink. He made us a wrong drink and when I tried to talk to him he said "I have other customers" and turned the other way. It all made sense when I saw the 20% tip was automatically added to every check. We complained to the manager who didn't seem to care much and said the bartenders are under pressure. Not sure what the pressure it, they're serving $30 negronis, not fighting on a frontline.

Just got to say, the service and cocktails are amazing! My waitress Mollie was super knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and knew how to make us laugh. And the Blindmelon tasted superb. 11/10 would go back and make this a regular spot.

This is the perfect spot for audiophiles and cocktail aficionados. If you love excellent music, delicious cocktails and a hipster chic vibe then this is your jam. This bar is a replica of the typical Japanese listening bars and it caters to those who can appreciate high value and good quality music and sound systems. The speakers are incredible quality and the top of the line acoustics allow you to admire loud music yet also carry a conversation. I went here with my fiancé and we were truly blown away by the music here. The location is unsuspecting and the entrance is slightly hidden which adds to the unique charm of this establishment. The bar is small and intimate. The food and drinks selection is on point. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!

Cool small spot for a drink or 2 love the ambiance, gets a bit packed so show up early

This place is a scam! This is the first time ever I write a bad review about a place, but this place needs to change management and culture ... made a reservation for 4 which we paid $400 in advance we get there wait in line and they tell us that we have to pay $20 per person to get in and had to argue that we paid for reservations, after we get in after an uncomfortable conversation with the door people which they obviously have a scam for themselves we sit and we have a $400 credit in which is impossible to use since their menu is so limited with less than 10 cocktails, 3 beer selections, some bad champagne and their only food was peanuts with pickles and lays potato chips ... service was slow had to hunt down the server for service, place was overcrowded, they only have one bathroom for both men and women. At the end we consumed less than $200 out of $400 ( of they had a bigger selection of food and drinks we would have consumed way over $400) but we don't get the rest of the money we didn't use back and on top of that we had to pay an extra $100 in taxes in which is such bad business, on our way out we tried to see if we can come back and use our credit and they laughed and told us to leave. Place is run by kids with no customer service and all they try to do is steal from you ! DO NOT GO

Music is great and drinks are good for the most part however they add additional fees for "bartenders choice" (bc) on each cocktail if it's not a solo drink on the rocks. It makes it so that if you want a margarita, it's $25 because the bartenders has to "mix it." This is on top of the 20% service fee. The bartender then told us the BC fee was standard in Miami and we were wrong for questioning what the mystery "BC" charges on our bill were. I've lived in Miami for 8 years now and never seen this on a bill before. Just not worth it

A cool night out. The fact the ticket covers 25$ of your drinks for the night makes it a lot more affordable. Without it, it's a bit in the pricey side. It's unique for sure and a place I will return to, but not necessarily in my main rotation of going out places. I'd recommend!
