I could try to describe the halva croissant to you... but it's better if you just go taste it yourself. Tender, buttery croissant, plus caramelized halva on top, plus the halva filling inside, and... imagine my surprise when I reached into the bag, and found out that the top of this croissant also has chocolate on it? Made it even better. Not too much chocolate to be overpowering. Each bite of this pastry is different, with new textures and flavors each time. Hands down one of the top pastries I've ever had, and trust me, I've had a lot.
Besides that, the za'atar swirl with goat cheese and honey is out of this world. So much so, that, I was the next in line, they had just brought out a fresh tray of them, and in two blinks, before I had ordered, the servers had already bagged them up and set them aside? Not sure if they had already been reserved or something, but these things go fast. They also said they were bringing out different pastries at different times of the day.
It's been notoriously difficult for me to come here, because their hours are so scarce (8-1) and they're closed on shabbat. It's too bad they don't stay open later, because from what I hear they basically have a cult following.
