The Best Micheladas In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Miches De La Baja reminds us of some early 2000s beach bar in Huntington Beach that sells brick-sized burritos and plays surf rock on repeat. While this Torrance spot does, in fact, serve large burritos, we prefer their micheladas. You can go either sweet or savory here. The salty michelada is heavier on the beer than the Clamato, and has a thick chamoy and tajin rim. And then there are the sweet cocktails, like the Chamoy Piña with a spicy, syrup-coated pineapple wedge and a tamarind candy stick that doubles as your straw. Their peppery miche mix has some heat and pairs great with the cucumber and pickle "toppings" (they're full-on snacks)." - sylvio martins

The 18 Best Restaurants in Torrance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Miches de la Baja reminds us of an early 2000s beach bar in Huntington Beach that sells brick-sized burritos and exclusively plays surf rock. Burritos actually are on the menu, but we prefer their crispy fish chicharrones with fries and tons of fresh parsley sprinkled on top. When it comes to their excellent micheladas, you can either go sweet or savory here. The Torrance spot serves a beer-heavy, salty michelada with a thick chamoy and tajin rim that leaves us puckering with each sip. Their mix acts as a peppery base with some heat and pairs great with its cucumber and pickle toppings. Go for the sweeter side of things with the Chamoy Piña which includes a spicy, syrup-coated pineapple wedge and tamarind stick that can double as a straw too. " - Nikko Duren, Garrett Snyder

Miches De La Baja Review - Torrance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Miches de la Baja kind of reminds us of some early 2000s beach bar in Huntington Beach that sells brick-sized burritos and plays surf rock on repeat. When it comes to their excellent micheladas, you can either go sweet or savory here. Go for the sweeter side of things with the Chamoy Piña that includes a spicy, syrup-coated pineapple wedge and tamarind stick that can double as a straw too. Food Rundown Fish Chicharrones These pieces of white fish are super flakey and coated in a light, crispy beer batter. The whole thing gets dumped on some salty fries before receiving a sprinkling of fresh parsley and a much-needed spritz of lemon. It’s all exactly as good as it sounds. Michelada Some micheladas are more refreshing than others, but this beer-heavy miche is ideal for bringing us back to life. It’s salty and peppery (probably from some Tabasco) and pairs great with the light beer and briny Clamato." - Sylvio Martins

Google
Mango Michelada- super delicious and refreshing, five stars! Fried fish and fried shrimp tacos - 2 stars, that tortilla was good, the cabbage was good, the sauce was tasty, but both the shrimp and the fish have that over fried with old oil flavor The service was fairly quick and friendly . The restaurant is dirty. In general, tables are dirty. Trash was on the ground by the trashcan, the toilet toilets were dirty trash on the floor in the bathroom. It’s hard to go back to try other things when it’s just so dirty. .

Google
Good Mexican taco restaurant. Located in a nice plaza with plenty of free self parking. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is clean. Ordered the fried fish tacos and fried shrimp tacos. They're good but had better elsewhere. I enjoyed the fish more than the shrimp. Worth it if you're in the area

Jamie Gutierrez

Google
Great food, me and my hubby ordered the California ceviche, the 6 OG shrimp tacos (battered shrimp and fried) two pineapple miches. Everything was delicious, tasteful and fulfilling. Clean restaurant, the cherry on top for us was also the customer service, very friendly and nice, helpful. Definelty will return first time was a 10/10. I recommend if you are craving seafood and want your moneys worth. Miches de la Baja won't let you down!

Google
Went last week and I haven’t came after not going a while I walked in looking forward to eating their awesome tacos .However when I walked in there it looked like a pig stye. Made me scared to eat there while looking at how unsanitary they were . If they think it is ok to have their tables dirty and floors looking like pigs dancing all over then I can’t imagine how sanitary they really are anymore

Google
Great Micheladas to start off, my go to is the pina chamoy Michelada super flavorful spicy and goes great with a shrimp, fish taco or tostada. It is a bit pricey but worth your buck if you want something well done and fresh

When I entered the "Miches De LA Ba restaurant", I thought that I was at Mexico restaurant. The wall was painted with a map of Baja Mexico, and their decore was Spanish influenced interior. I liked their Spanish interior design. A young lady greeted me, and she was helpful with selecting the menu. I chose their famous fish taco combo and tortilla with salsa. It didn't take that long to get my order. It was pretty fast service. After that I came home and tried the food. Fish tacos came with rice and beans. When I tried the taco, the fish was fried, and it was rolled with white tortilla. I ordered the taco with no sauce. Fish was a little salty, but after I added the salsa. It tasted good. The only thing that I didn't like was that salsa was too spicy and very hot. I had to drink a lot of water. Tortillas were crispy and tasty. Anyway, their service was good and the atmosphere was great.

Google
I go here AT LEAST once a week. I love the food that much. At this point they should have a rewards program because I'd be building up lots of points by now. Def recommend.

Google
This place was good. The tacos were a little better than ok. Unfortunately, I always compare the fish tacos to another place where they are simply exquisite! The breaded fish tacos (OG tacos) are a lot better than the grill ones. The grill fish tacos had a charcoal smoky taste, not a pleasant one. The shrimp tacos were delicious as well as the Ceviche. The atmosphere is great and the staff was very friendly. I would eat here again ONLY if I happen to be around but not a need to drive place.

Yelp
The food overall is very good. They have an amazing taco Wednesday special and fish tacos here are muy sabroso. I have tried other foods here as well and again very tasty. Also the atmosphere is more of a bar vibe. . My biggest gripe is I feel they need to have more servers sometimes it will get packed and only two servers are there. There is a wait for the food because of this. This is my only issue but I feel that it's great food and at a good price.

Yelp
$8 card min No taco Tuesday but they do have taco Wednesdays - fish tacos for $1.99 Potato tacos Thursdays $6.99 Taco Tuesday Tijuana $7.99 Monday Nachos $8.99 Wait was long when I went Seems like a good place on a hot day for a Michelada - it was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon

Yelp
I enjoy the food here, but it could use some upgrades. The ceviche comes in a red tomato sauce that adds a sweet flavor; I prefer it in a green sauce instead. I'm not sure if there's an option for that, as I was only given the red sauce. The seafood tacos are tasty but could benefit from more sauce. While they come mixed in sauce, it's not enough--adding a chipotle sauce would enhance the flavor since they're a bit dry. The micheladas are decent, but I expected more from a place known for them. On the plus side, the service is great; the staff really ensures you're taken care of. The tilapia is also good. Overall, the food just needs more sauce options to elevate the dishes.

Yelp
Ordered the taco box family meal to feed 5 adults and it was more than enough. We got 6 OG fish and 6 OG shrimp with the family meal including beans, rice, guacamole, salsa and chips. The beans were a hit and definitely recommend. Tacos were still hot and crispy 20 mins after order pick up. A little heavy on the batter but fish and shrimp were noticeable. Service was friendly and as quick as possible during the lunch rush.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday for the 1.99 fish taco deal. The service was not great, the lady at the front didn't say much to me, even when I had questions about their menu items. I came around 2pm and I was pretty much the only person there and the music was playing really loud. Though the actual experience inside this location wasn't pleasant, the tacos were pretty good. I used to come here a lot and the fish had too much breading on it; this was not the case today. The fish was crispy and lightly breaded with lots of fish in it. As you can see from the photo, I only ordered 2 tacos, but they were absolutely loaded with toppings. I love that they have plenty of hot sauce options on the table so I mix and matched a few. Overall the food was absolutely delicious, and the price for the Wednesday deal is 100% worth it. The only thing I'll be doing differently in the future is probably taking it to-go.

Yelp
Came here with my wife and 14 month old to satisfy my fish tacos craving. This place did not disappoint. Glad to find they have two high chairs available for young kids. The food was ready within 5 minutes. I love how they had everything on the plate already instead of having a side bar. It included the pickled onions, green sauce, lemon, and a pepper. The fish was fried to perfection. I had 3.5 tacos (shared half with my wife) and it was just right. The only complaint was that the music was blasting, which made for a slightly uncomfortable eating environment.

Yelp
Aguachiles are spicy asf and i love them. also potato tacos are yummy, and honestly its all yummy.

Yelp
Ordered from them based on the recommendation of another. I got Tacos carnitas and some else got the Birria tacos. All very good food; delivery by DoorDash.
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
I love the taco box! The fish is super fresh and taste amazing! The price is also reasonable. I would definitely recommend trying the fish tacos or the shrimp!
google avatar

Thomas O.

Yelp
Order the combo birria and noticed she charged me 16.95. The menu price is 12.95. I asked her why she said owner has not changed the price. What's going on here! No refund .... Food wise not bad but deceiving the customer with wrong price beware!!!

Alicia G.

Yelp
Delicioso Lo recomiendo Buena comida buen servicio Necesitan limpiar las mesas más Frecuente. Gracias !!!!!

Yelp
I was craving some ceviche and based on reviews and menu options, they had what I wanted. I ordered the Rey with aguachile, two Baja fish tacos and hubby got the birria tacos. The Rey ceviche portion was enough to share!! Love the amount of shrimp & just seafood period. It did lack a lil salt but that's ok. As far as heat level, it wasn't spicy at all. I had to add more if their other sauces they offered on the table. The fish tacos were not that significant. Basic. The birria tacos were small. They were good but had better. They have fountain drinks and agua frescas. Only thing they need to improve in is on the cleanliness. The tables were sticky and so was the area to get drinks. The floors could use some mopping too. Service was decent. You do have to go up to the counter to pick up your food when ready so no table side service. Not sure if I'll go back.

Yelp
Good place! It was my first time and the staff behind the register was very patient and offered me a suggestion when I wasn't sure what to get. I tried the queso birria tacos on taco Tuesday that was very affordable for what I got! It could be not enough food for some people (3 tacos) but it was plenty for me. Quick to come out and tasted very flavorful with good consumé. Good seating inside with lots of people enjoying. Quick good casual bite. I plan to go back!

Yelp
I Love coming to eat here. When you walk in there is music playing in the background and you feel like you can be in Mexico. The walls are beautifully painted as if you are on the beach or a town in Mexico. They have great deals for certain days, posted where you can see it outside & inside the restaurant. The food is delicious. The portions are perfect. The drinks are refillable. If you do not eat spicy then they will put it to the side. You are always greeted when you first walk-in. When you pay for your food, your choice to tip if you like. You are appreciated & will be known that you tipped with a loud ring so the cooks & servers know that you tipped them. We have been coming at least 1 or 2 days out of the week for the past couple months.

Yelp
I went to the harbor city location previously And I was raving to my mom how good the food was however, when we arrived, they had no power so we went to the Carson location. The food is just as delicious. There's definitely not a lack in consistency. The miches were even better here. There was a young lady that was making them and she did a phenomenal job. My mom got the chicken burrito and fish taco. The fish taco was a star of the show. I ordered the fish burrito OMG never knew I needed that. It was so delicious. I wish they had more comfortable seating at this location. All of the tables are like benches that gives more of an outside setting either way it's a cool spot and I wouldn't mind dining at either location.
google avatar

Lynn L.

Yelp
Been here several times. So good! Their shrimp and fish OG battered tacos is what I order all the time. They have $2 Wednesday fish tacos. Recently ordered their shrimp ceviche . That was good too! They have an extensive menu , have yet to try big fried fish and other items! Service was quick. Love the ambiance, very lively and feel like you are in a tropical island.
google avatar

Sokha L.

Yelp
Came here for Wednesday $2 fish tacos. I was here about 5 months ago and it was really good. This time the tortillas which are made in house was really thick. Also the fish tacos weren't as crispy and flavorful as it was before. Chefs maybe changed. Its a popular location in the strip mall plaza where superior grocers is located in. Ambiance is casual. I may give it one more chance in the future.
google avatar

Edward L.

Yelp
I've eaten here many times. I recommend the fried fish tacos and french fries. Although the fries are pretty pricey at $7.50. But I don't recommend the grilled fish because I don't like the "grilled" taste. It tastes like the bottom of an ashtray.
google avatar

Orlando J.

Yelp
I wanted to give this place another chance and they STILL can't get it right. I asked for a chicken burrito, plain. Meaning no veggies or garnishes. They give me a burrito with everything that didn't want. Asked them to remake it and they gave a little burrito with only chicken inside. The cashiers were nice, they were very helpful. They kitchen staff, however, need to be retrained especially if they don't know what plain means when it comes to food orders. $12.99 for a mini burrito is crazy..
google avatar

Yelp
My co workers love ordering food from here. Not often but when we do , it's fish tacos !!! 10/10 I could eat 3 and be full, they are huge :) They also have tostadas , ceviche, and many more !
google avatar

Yelp
Great food for reasonable price! Good drinks also. Lively atmosphere. Had a local feel to it if you choose to dine in.
google avatar

Gladys N.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try it out and finally came in Sunday morning. Had the og fish tacos and og shrimp tacos and they were very delicious! (About 3 bucks each) Ambiance is cool inside, loud rock music when we came in, doesn't fit the vibe this restaurant represents but who knows. The service I had was great, no issues with my food. The regular michelada was also spot on! Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
Service is Sharai's great! Family asked for good tacos so I know to come here. They have fried and grilled shrimp tacos, asada soft shell only, and Tijuana north crispy Birria beef tacos. So so yummy!! Service is always excellent. Very comfortable for family or large gatherings. Picnic table seating
google avatar

Yasmeen S.

Yelp
WOW! My friend and I came here for a quick lunch break and we both got fish tacos and ceviche. The food was absolutely amazing! Fish tacos were warm and crispy and it tasted so good with the crunch from the cabbage. Ceviche was addicting and I love how they add octopus in it. Definitely a plus for that.
google avatar

Lowey M.

Yelp
I have to keep reminding myself that they have two different specials and on two different days. Tuesday - Taco Tuesdays for their red tacos Wednesday - Taco Wednesday for their fish tacos I will say, it's not the best quality but 100% the best bang for your buck. If you got their shrimp taco, I was astonished to find how big and meaty they were and they give you 3 whole pieces per taco. Really worthwhile IN THIS ECONOMY. It shares parking with a grocery store so plentiful and it's also just a few doors down from a Lee's sandwiches which means, getting vietnamese iced coffee along with your tacos. I'd love to come back and try other things, my hubby loves their red tacos!
google avatar

Joyce A.

Yelp
Excellent food! Located in close proximity of Harbor UCLA hospital. It's in a commercial complex. Easy to find parking. Food is excellent!!! It's a must try!!! Be back soon! 1-31-2023

Yelp
So this place never fails. The food is always fresh, portions is a lot and tastes great. The service is awesome and they made recommendations to our order and it was perfect! Thank you Miches De La Baja for the great food and service. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for Mexican food!
google avatar

Mads A.

Yelp
Well this is disappointing, where's the fish to my taco? ‍ Usually this place gets my order right, and they're fast even when they are packed. Today was slow, I get it, it's Friday, our mind is on the weekend, but it would be nice to get the food I paid for. Also I'm starving. I see a free miche in my near future lol.

Susan K.

Yelp
This is a restaurant you shouldn't go to if you don't intend to tip. I stand in line, pay for my food, and when they call my number, I pick up my food myself. I also put my drink in my own cup. I don't understand why they ask for a tip, and the young woman there immediately changes her demeanor when she realizes you haven't tipped. She gets ticky-tacky and her words become cold. If I don't tip, the male waiter suddenly demands that I pay cash unless I order more than $8. This is despite the fact that I've seen people in front of me pay $4 or $6 by credit card. I asked for a paper plate, and she hesitated for a moment before laboriously pulling out a large paper plate that looked like it was being used as a bar at the bottom of a stack of small paper plates. Avocado and red sauce drenched.... When I said the plate was dirty, she told me to just use it, and when I refused, she nervously threw it in the trash in front of me and gave me a paper plate stacked high on top. It was so unpleasant and made me feel bad. I didn't want to fight with her in the morning so I just ate and left in silence, but my group will never go to this restaurant again. Make sure to tip. Otherwise you'll get a dirty paper plate with soggy sauce or something that looks like cockroaches have been through it a hundred times.

Yelp
I'd like to start with the overall restaurant atmosphere, which is welcoming for both individuals on their lunch break and large families like ours looking to enjoy dinner together. The cashier was patient with our group as we each placed our orders. The spacious bench seats accommodated our party comfortably. The large televisions showed college football games, creating a lively ambiance. Our food arrived promptly, and the quality was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our choices, including the fish chicharrón, shrimp cóctel, surf n turf burrito, and shrimp baja style tacos, all of which were expertly prepared and delicious. I'd like to give a shout-out to the restaurant's incredible beer selection and micheladas, which perfectly complement the vibe and pair amazingly well with any menu item, making it a fantastic spot for my family to enjoy meals together when we're in town.

Yelp
Fish tacos are really good . Closer than pch and western this place is smaller and has quicker service
google avatar

Yelp
This place is beyond awesome. Huge selection of food on their menu. I got the battered fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Both fantastic. I also got the California ceviche with some fish added in. Everything was on point. The service and workers were nice too. They recommended the right food. The place it self is cool too. All the lights and colors. Reminds you of a place down S. I would absolutely recommend this place and definitely will be going back.

Yelp
This food and service was spectacular. Perfect Seafood Decision for a Saturday Morning. 100% recommend. Shrimp Cocktail was so fresh!

Jenna G.

Yelp
Service was easy and quick. Food was amazing. The drinks were even better. Would definitely visit here again.

Yelp
Place is so loud, yo really can't communicate unless you shout. The cashier can't even hear. I've had to stick my ear under the plastic protector to hear her. She obviously didn't hear correctly when I ordered Tuesday Taco special. ALL she heard was "two, as in Tuesday, tacos." No! not two......TUESday taco special. It was Tuesday afterall!!! If she thought I ordered 2 tacos, then why didn't she ask me what kind? There's several kinds. When I opened my food, was so disappointed it was two Asada tacos with guacamole, which I cannot eat since guac makes me sick. Had to scrape off what i could. The beef was tough and I spit out hunks of gristle I didn't want to swallow. If there was any question about my order (of course she couldn't hear me!!) she could have asked. So disappointed because I was looking forward all day to eating the Del Norte Tuesday Taco special. Good ADVICE: CHECK your food before you leave the place to be sure they got it right. The restaurant is a loud like a rowdy bar. Recently I've noticed they wipe the tables clean but the picnic benches are VERY uncomfortable. Disappointed I didn't get what I ordered. Price was same, so I didn't know at the time. I don't want to go back. There's a new Chipolte right down the street.

Yelp
The OG Baja fish tacos and shrimp tacos were delicious.Good sized portions and the flavors were amazing. Also had their Micheladas negra Modelo and it was delicious. Great vibes and staff are always friendly. Overall good experience and will be back for more!
google avatar

Mariko F.

Yelp
This must be my favorite spot for fish tacos in Carson. The batter was light, crispy, and not oily at all. The cabbage, onions and tomatoes were fresh and added to that nice crunch. The crema was just the right amount and the green salsa . I don't know it the outdoor seating will be permanent but it was perfect to sit outside (in case all the seating inside is occupied).
google avatar

Dolce A.

Yelp
I'd like a gallon of their miches, so so good. Service is prompt. Ambiance definitely reminds me of spots on shore of Baja Mexico. Good stuff all together I think quality and quantity and price are on point!
google avatar

Lorna K.

Yelp
Excellent items of their menu. Their ceviche is so good, but be careful. Even their mild is a bit spicy.

Yelp
!!! TIP SHAMERS !!! I have ONE rule and that is I do not return to a place that tip shames at the point of sale. The baja fish tacos here are very good, but my rule is the rule and I will not return. Even if the place has a cool vibe and good food. It is time to take a stand on this BS. HERE IS AN IDEA: If you own a restaurant and you... DON'T HAVE - Host/Hostess - Wait Staff - Bus Boys - Table Menus ... but you... DO HAVE - Plastic Utensils - Paper Plates & Cups - Self-Serve Everything (drinks, napkins, utensils, bussing your table, fetching your food, etc.) ... pay your employees and don't shame your customers into doing it. Be a man.

Yelp
Ordered the Shrimp Burrito. Good service and good food. Very busy inside, but have arrangements to sit outside

Yelp
Best Tacos in Town at niches Declan Baja! I'm obsessed with The flavors, quality, and service are consistently top-notch. Their fried fish tacos are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The homemade salsa is a game-changer. The drinks are so good too!! The vibrant atmosphere and colorful decor make for a lively dining experience.

Sheyla L.

Yelp
The food is delicious I got the fish tacos and they were very hefty filled with fresh ingredients, my boyfriend got the carne asada taco and the shrimp tacos. The carne asada tacos is stacked with meat and very well seasoned. We also got a piña chamoy michelada that was also delicious! Service was nice and quick. Ambiance was typical marisco spot very beachy which I liked. Will come back when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by on my lunch break. Didint get a chance to explore the menu. I had the Tacos de Pescado y de Camaron(Fish & Shrimp). Nothing special, typical Baja style. Battered and fried with crema, cabbage and pico. I give them a "Meh". Tacos were pretty fresh but again, nothing special. Ceviche looks decent, will give it a try some other time.
google avatar

Thomas B.

Yelp
Food is great, but the microphone is way too loud! It's loud enough that the person shouldn't need to scream out the number and pierce your ears while you are eating!

Yelp
Best ceviche I've had in a long time, the tacos rojos are delicious but the consomé lacks flavor(not good)
