Yelp
The dishes were flavorful and immersed with spices, which made for savory traditional Lebanese fare. However, I was a bit disappointed that everything came with an upcharge though...
The Fattoush w/ Chicken Shawarma was a large portion of healthy Lebanese salad drizzled with olive oil & lemon juice. I chose to top it with Chicken Shawarma, which was a bit dry for my taste.
The Beef Shawarma doner was packed full of flavor. The spices mixed with red onions, parsley, & seasoned beef was absolutely delicious... However, they did not include a key ingredient on the side: tzaziki sauce or yogurt & cumber. Instead, they were charging an upcharge for this essential ingredient. That's a turnoff to say the least... A yogurt based sauce is critical to add some base to the acidic lemon juice & spices in the dish.
Everyone is dealing with inflation right now, including the customers. Therefore, this is the time to win over a customer base that will continue to patronize your establishment when things get better financially in the future. Charging an extra $5 here and $10 there is not sustainable when prices are already high enough here in San Diego. In order to branch out your customer base beyond the locals in your immediate area, the key is to win people over right now by merely providing a small container of a basic condiment. It's very simple, but goes a long way!
