"Michelle Lao brings Chinese-Puerto Rican food to Houston, including her family’s recipe for juicy, all-dark meat fried chicken, which is seasoned with oregano and a delightful fusion of spices. Though the fried chicken meals already come with fries, spring for the pork fried rice, or the crispy tostones, which are especially dangerous when dipped in the “mayoketchup.” Seal the experience with a slice of the fried guava cheesecake." - Brittany Britto Garley

"Customers drive hundreds of miles for a plate of mofongo and barbecued pork at Michy’s Chino Boricua. The restaurant offers a combination of Latin and Asian flavors, a product of Chinese immigrants bringing their foodways to the Caribbean island and fusing them with local spices and ingredients. Owner Michelle Lao, also known as Michy, opened this casual fast-food and takeout restaurant with the goal of bringing her roots as a Chinese American Puerto Rican stateside. Signature dishes include carne frita with a marinade using Chinese five-spice and curry powder, boneless barbecue ribs, a Cantonese classic, glazed in a sweet sauce, and juicy, dark meat-only fried chicken made in a large wok. The menu also features plantains in various forms, such as mofongo and tostones, as well as a gooey fried guava cheesecake." - Brittany Britto Garley

Respectfully I must say "Yuck!" Fried rice is bland. No flavor. Mofongo is dry and somewhat bland with a taste of garlic. Beef lo mein - the meat is mushy. What kind of meat is that?? The jalapeño churrasco was ok. Very spicy. My gf and I were extremely disappointed. My opinion is the food is terrible. The seating isn't so hot either. This was my first and last visit. Definitely not worth $61. I feel robbed.

Google
I had so many high expectations of this place and it’s just the worse, super greasy, the garlic over powers all the salty food, I could not even taste the plantains. The pork in the rice also made the food poignant and salty. For sure I will not be coming back. Paid $60 for two plates and an esta side of rice and plantains that are pretty much going into the trash.

Honestly, I couldn't have been happier! They really season their meat properly!!! The mayo sauce should be sold in a bottle!!! Usually, rice is an afterthought but not here! I can't wait to ce back! Keep up the great work!

This particular Michy's Chino Boricua (MCB) is located in a strip mall a few miles up the road from I10, making it accessible to people like me who are traveling through Houston. The restaurant is well-marked, and in the corner suite, so you shouldn't have trouble finding it. Parking is shared amongst other retailers in the shopping center, but I was able to find a spot quickly. They also have a drive-through if you don't feel like leaving the car. As you enter the door, the signage states, "No pets except service animals." It stood out to me for some reason, and I'd later find out why. I walked in around 11:30 and didn't receive a greeting from the lady at the counter. She answered a phone call and left for the kitchen/back area without acknowledging me. The other young lady behind a wall behind the counter peeked around, saw me, and took my order. She wasn't rude but not particularly friendly. I ordered the pepper steak with fried rice and a side of tostones (twice-fried green plantains). I wasn't aware that the pepper steak came with french fries, so that was a nice surprise. I loooooooathe restaurants that swing that tablet around requesting a tip when you have to go to the counter to order, get your own drinks, and return to the counter to pick up your order. That's essentially a McDonald's or a Whataburger, which doesn't warrant tipping. Add to that the icy greeting (or lack thereof), and it was almost laughable that they were asking for tips. After a visit to the restroom (clean), I sat down to wash my hands and waited about 15 minutes for my food. The pepper steak was tender and flavorful but not the best I've ever had. In fairness, I'm from NYC, so my opinion is biased. The fried rice with the pepper steak was missing the iceberg lettuce that PR fried rice is known for. It wasn't on par with authentic PR fried rice (or even NYC PR Chino fried rice), but it was tasty. The french fries were crisp on the outside and tender inside. When I dipped them in the mayoketchu (mayonnaise and ketchup dip), it was addicting. The tostones were delicious and perfectly garlicky. While waiting for my food and eating it, I watched a guy walk his pug into the restaurant. Of course, the pug was wearing a "service dog" harness. When the rest of his family entered, one carried a pet carrier with another dog in it. There's no way the dog in the carrier was a service animal. It was yipping throughout the time I was sitting there. What's worse is that, despite the signage, none of the employees said anything to them about bringing TWO dogs into the restaurant. I'm a dog owner and lover, and forcing others to eat around my dog in an enclosed area is rude. The rest of the customers who stared open-mouth at the barking dog looked like they agreed, but management said and did nothing. I'm not a fan of owners who look the other way regarding unhygienic practices, and allowing multiple dogs in a restaurant is one of those things that turns me off from a place. I get that the patrons should have respect, but why put up signs if you have no intention or will to enforce them?

Google
This is like walking into a Star Cream in PR! If you know, you know! Amazingly delicious! For all my boricuas; you’ve GOT to come!!! And yes, those are tostones con ajo!!!

Angela Ravelo

Google
It was quick and delicious. I had the Churassco steak plate and my bf had boneless ribs plate both of us had fried rice no french fries.

Yall this place is the real deal. I was born and raised in New Jersey and am full Puerto Rican. Up north Puerto Rican Chinese fusion is so common. I wanted to get a taste of home so I decided to give this place a try. This place has a menu where everything is a throw back and sounds delicious. I had their carne Frita and tostones and it took me back! Reminded me of my mom’s cooking. Everything was fresh and tasty and was fully worth it. I was very happy and will for sure come back! Highly recommend their carne Frita and tostones.

Great find! Visiting from Dallas, Brought me back to Puerto Rico . Great customer service and food was great! We need this in DFW!! Thank you - we will definitely be back !

Yelp
Great food Service was awesome Ambience is warm and cozy with great music and most of clean. The food is amazing it remind me of eating Chinese food in PR.

Yelp
Since I been back in the states, I have wanted carne Frita con Monfongo. Found Michy's so wife and I have it a try. It was not to bad. Carne Frita was a little over cooked. Worth a try if you're in the area.

Samantha F.

Yelp
Growing up in Katy as a Puerto Rican, the only Puerto Rican food I got was from my mother or grandmother. There was no real representation for cuisine in the area. When my mom told me Michy's was opening up in Katy - I drove all the way back from Austin to try it. The service was incredible, they are (mostly) all bilingual and have great vibes about them. They will describe their food to you and give you recommendations! The place is also quaint and very cute. Now the foooood. Carne fritas + tostadas have been my go to the past three times I've gone - it's consistently A+ quality. I haven't had much of the Chinese food there, but the Beef lo Mein was very good (per my father's recommendation). All in all, I'm happy to see some representation and good fusion food in the Katy area!

Susan H.

Yelp
Picked up my replacement tostones with garlic and decided to give the crab Rangoon and yuca bites a try. They were all good. The yuca bites were really good. They are stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Yummo!

Christopher S.

Yelp
HOUSTON , TX / PUERTO RICAN CHINESE / 09-14-22 / TAKEOUT DINNER +I am usually not a fan of fusion cuisine, but this place is legit. +Good comfort food. Definitely get the plantain tostados. I can't want for their Katy Food Hall location to open up!

George R.

Yelp
Driven passed this place for weeks and always thought it was a kind of dessert business, but was looking for some shrimp lo mein last night. Decided to come in to order because wanted to try their fried chicken, so it was a Saturday night event and the place was hopping so my hopes were up. Sorry to say, they did not live up to the hype of their clientele ambiance. The lo mein had almost no flavor whatsoever, and their chicken wasn't crispy at all...and no real flavor either. Their beijing beef that so much "gravy" that it lives off covered any taste of beef. Their pork fried rice was okay for a couple spoonfuls but died off quick. This is definitely a hard pass for this family!

Yelp
We visited Michy's Chino Boricua while in the area. I had not previously experienced Puerto Rican & Asian fusion food. It was a delicious experience. When we visit Puertorico we tend to dine mostly on the seafood, pork, rice, fritters, and other delicacies that we may not have as readily available at home. We are definitely going to add chino boricua to one of those things that we have to have on our next vacation. The restaurant is in a strip mall and has plenty of parking out front. The dining room is very clean and full of happy customers. The hostess/waitress who took my order was very patient as we stood in line studying the menu for a minute or two. There were so many options we was a little overwhelmed and tried to order a little bit of everything. We enjoyed: - Tostones - Mofongo - Pepper Steak - Flan coco - Fried cheese cake Net time I think we will swap out the pepper steak for some of the fried chicken or the boneless bbq ribs. The price of the food was reasonable for the quantity you receive. We definitely had left overs. I hope you give them a try and that you have a great experience with your meal.

Yelp
Very great quality take out food. Reminds me of Chinese take out, but Ofcourse with Puerto Rican flair. Everything was seasoned really well. The portion were humongous. Totally worth the value. A plate can feed 2 people. Rice was moist and fluffy. Meat was tender and very well seasoned. Our food came out pretty quickly.

Dianne H.

Yelp
This the second time getting food from there. First time was delivery everything was delicious. Second time I visited the location it's a small space good food affordable too. Delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Thea W.

Yelp
You better come to this place hungry! Each serving is HUGE and can easily be shared between 2 people. Inside is very clean. The egg rolls are really good too!

Dee D.

Yelp
I really wish there were half stars here. I want to give this a 3.5. I saw this on social media and was very intrigued to try it. The everything lo Mein was the highlight of the meal. I realize that this was the best thing that I had here because everything else was precooked. The fried rice wasn't good. It was dry. I added shrimp to it and that was precooked also. I don't mind waiting a bit for food. This is fast takeout. Not really a wait. The tostones and mayochup was really good. The boneless ribs tips were okay Service was really good. Social media got me. Lol

Yelp
Buena suerte Boricua.

Yelp
Today we arrived at a Puerto Rican restaurant but with a Chinese food concept. I tell you that my wife and I have visited many oriental or Chinese food restaurants, but we had not found that flavor that is given to Chinese food in Puerto Rico. Of course, the restaurants we have visited are not bad, but as I mentioned before, this is a variation. I tell you that I loved it, I felt like I was on the island, the spectacular comfort and a super relaxed and calm atmosphere, really in this restaurant I was able to enjoy a Puerto Rican style dinner and service.

Sharon L.

Yelp
Food was great at a great price. I really enjoyed my food that I order. I just had the enchilada tofu with tostones and yummy. I never had tofu before but I really enjoy the way the made it. Will always go back.

Jose V.

Yelp
MICHY's takes me back to my childhood in Puerto Rico. Nothing compares to that Chinese fried rice with Puerto Rican flavor. Nothing. So glad they opened a second location, but please, I beg you. Please open another location off the Nasa Rd. 1 area. ¡Por fa'!

Jaire Q.

Yelp
Súper good! We had mofongo and some fried rice. Everything we ordered was delicious. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon so we took the food to go. It was loud in there and as tables emptied, they would get occupied in a matter of minutes. I do recommend their food, I really enjoyed it.

Corey S.

Yelp
I ordered the orange chicken and fried rice. Food was good. It came out fresh. I really liked the fried rice. It wasn't your typical grease ball of rice and occasional carrot diced.

Suzie E.

Yelp
I love Puerto Rican food + Asian food que rico! We got the family pack and feed a family of four! Service was great, friendly staff! They have music playing in the background good to enjoy lunch with family! Authentic pr + Asian food!

BigSarge P.

Yelp
Finally made it. Tho I didn't know what to expect or order. I made my way out to Michy's in Katy. I arrived just before opening. Based on description, there were no Asian employees. In my mind that was what I was expecting. Having never been to Porto Rico or even no of or Dinned in a Porto Rican restaurant. It took me a while to figure out the ordering procedure, As suggested I had the Ribs with Plantains, I think . The ribs were very good, the Plantains will take some getting used too. The what I thought tasted like potato cheese balls was good. The fried chicken , egg rolls and orange chicken and Pork rice are all good. Large portion size. Sorry for forgetting the names of some items. The menu tasted more Asian, tho a good meal. I would like to see a larger lunch special and beer options. The store was clean, counter employee-friendly, tho the person taking my order didn't speak English. There should always be an English-speaking count person, tho I wish I could speak Spanish and all others languages. All in all give them a try.

Jose M.

Yelp
Michy's has a great combination of Asian and Puerto Rican cuisine that works very well together. The food is always delicious and the servings are always generous. It is definitely a place you are going to want to check out.

Karina M.

Yelp
Puerto Rican Chinese food is here in KATY! Yes, and it's pretty popular. Sunday afternoon, good luck finding a seat, but if you're patient, you may be lucky. The restaurant has counter service, grab a number and wait. Prices are moderate... not cheap, but not crazy expensive. The best part is the food. I loved the Tostones, but you may want to avoid it if you don't love garlic! The garlic butter and crispiness is divine. We also got lomein, fried rice and General Tso Chicken. Pretty basic, but I figured if you can get the basics right, it'll all fall into place. Friendly ambiance and it also has a drive thru and plenty of parking. Would definitely visit again when I'm in that part of town!

Mike N.

Yelp
Fried chicken 4/5 Seasoned well. Crispy. Batter is similar to Church's. Fried rice 2/5 Was so dry I had to buy a garlic butter and dump it in the rice. Bones's bbq ribs 3/5 Typical char siu.

Jessi P.

Yelp
Food is so so good here! The rice is addicting. Only issue is that it's small so if you come at a busy time you might not have a table to eat at. But they are opening bigger locations from what I've seen. 10/10

Rocio Y.

Yelp
Let me start off with, get the tostones! Wow. Visited for the first time over the weekend and was very satisfied in not only meal portion size but also flavor, especially in the tostones. I wish I had gotten a separate side and maybe some to go, I loved them so much. Food is served in to go containers, which I didn't mind. I got the broccoli and chicken, which was plentiful, and while I wish the chicken had more kick of flavor, I still very much enjoyed my meal and had plenty for later. If I had to change something, I'd ask for it be slightly less oily, but I could easily overlook it. I tried my husband's mofongo and also liked it, though him being Puerto Rican, felt like it could use additional flavor. We happened to go right before a rush and caught no one in front of us but right afterwards there was a line out the door, so prepare to wait some time as this seems to be the usual. The place is small but it's worth the wait, so I would recommend waiting it out and taking it to go if need be. Truthfully, I like their selection but wish they had more Puerto Rican options, like rice and beans with potatoes maybe. Regardless, I am so excited another location is being built, and I cannot wait to go back for more tostones and to try more food.

Chi O.

Yelp
This restaurant has excellent food and I can attest to that the tostones and fried rice is my go to meal but the chicken and plantain bangs

Valarie M.

Yelp
I'm new to this area, but one thing I noticed was that this particular area does not lack a great selection of great places to eat; Michy's Chino Boricua was one greats I've tried recently. I wanted a quick bite, so I ordered the lunch special.Since I was on Yelp, I placed my order to go and made the order from their website online. They do. Or take orders over the phone. The lunch special contains two pieces of fried chicken and their delicious fried rice. The portion was more than enough, I could have had leftovers, but I ate it all . The lunch special was $6.99! What a great price, right? My order confirmation alerted me and then right after, was another message saying my order was ready for pick up, so I headed up the road to the restaurant. When I arrived the inside of the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. They had great music playing and the lady at the front counter was super hospitable. She quickly made sure I had my order and it was correct. The food was so delicious! The food was cooked to perfection. The flavors were definitely there! I will be back to try the other menu items as I love Puerto Rican food, so I have to have that next time. Thank you so much for reading this review for this delicious restaurant. If you're in the area, please give this Michy's a try.

Irene P.

Yelp
Love the pork egg rolls and pork fried rice. Reminds me of New York Chinese food.

Edgar C.

Yelp
Great quality food. Definitely comparable to east coast carry out's and NY Chinese food spots but with better quality food. Their chicken, fried rice n rib tips HIT just like back home.

Cindy L.

Yelp
It was our first time trying this place out and on a Sunday lunch, the line was to the door. All the tables were full too, so be sure to get here with some time to spare during the rush hours! We wanted to try everything we could on the menu because it all sounded so yummy haha. We ended up getting the Carne Frita Fried Rice, which was one of our favorites! The pork was crispy and so flavorful, definitely recommend this one. The Mofongo was also really good, and was mashed up plantains with pepper steak on the side. The pepper steak was very flavorful, but a little chewy. The fried chicken was crisp and juicy! The fried cheesecake with guava sauce was so enticing, and it was absolutely crispy yet creamy on the side. The sauce was so good you guys. Def try this! We also had some tostones, which are like fried plantain chips with garlic butter and it was so so yummy!

June D.

Yelp
As a New Yorker, I knew this place was legit when I walked in and saw duck sauce packets. If you know, you know what I'm talkin' about. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Nicole L.

Yelp
We love the food here so much that we order from here pretty often. We normally order online and they send a text when it is ready for pick up. Even after receiving a text that our food is ready, we find ourselves waiting for quite some after arriving at the restaurant. Even when using the drive thru, there is no greeting or any update when they watch you sitting there for over 10 mins. There is much to be desired when it comes to the service here.

Aj T.

Yelp
As a fusion food restaurant the foo is incredibly good. I highly recommend the Orange chicken with fried rice and a side of tostones. The fried rice has some pork in it which really seals the Puerto Rican fusion inside Chinese food and the tostones are spot on although a little dry they give you mayo ketchup which is how they usually serve it in authentic Puerto Rican restaurants. There is no long wait and they are bilingual and it is usually empty because they are known for their take out more than sit down but there is still plenty of room for seating.

Jessica T.

Yelp
This place is serves sinful food, and I have to go on a 48 hr cleanse after eating here. Their portions are huge and always leaves me and my husband's bellies satisfied! We love it here and appreciate their fast and great service. The drive thru is perfect for rainy days when I don't feel like coming in! I alway order the boneless bbq ribs with fried rice and fries! That bbq sauce is so great with everything. It reminds me of the Vietnamese bbq pork! So yummy and tender! The fried rice is out of this world! My husband loves the orange chicken! He prefers this place over mall Chinese food. He makes me drive out of my way to pick up his favorite all the way out in Katy instead of going to the mall which is like 10 mins away for us. So worth the 45 min drive for good food! The fried cheesecake is insanely good! I AM OBSESSED WITH THE GUAVA SAUCE! That sauce is everything and I wish they sell that on its own. Ask for extra sauce if you can for the cheesecake! So freaking good!

Justin T.

Yelp
Social media brought me to Michy's on a weekday. I happened to be in the area and thought this was my chance to check it out since I live on the other side of town. It's located in the corner of a shopping strip. Drive thru is available as well. When I arrived the place was pretty empty but the staff was busy doing a photo shoot for what looked like more social media stuff. Other than being slightly distracted, service was good. Michy's sells a unique fusion of Chinese and Puerto Rican food. Strange, but it works. I didn't even know what to get as an entree so I asked for their most popular dish. I was told it was the Boneless BBQ Ribs so I went with that. What I did know coming in was that I had to have either the tostones or the mofongo as those are part of the Puerto Rican part of the menu. I ended up getting the Tostones as a side. The food took awhile to come out so I was expecting piping hot food. The tostones was nice and crisp and oh so delicious with the garlic butter coating it. I've only had plantains in sweet varieties so this was a nice change. The ribs entree was good. Slightly too sweet for my liking but it was still good and plentiful. It also came with fried rice and fries. The rice was your run of the mill fried rice. Nothing to write home about. The fries were pretty stale like they sat there for awhile. It was a lot of food for one person so I had food to take home. The ribs reheated well but not everything else. Overall, this is a solid spot. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, but I will definitely keep it as an option if I'm in the area.

Craig H.

Yelp
This place was fine I guess. The food quality reminded me of a food court in a nice mall. That's not necessarily a bad thing but that thought never comes to mind when I'm in a restaurant. They do serve nice size portions that I wasn't able to finish. Rather than taking the remainder of it home I just threw it away because I didn't think eating it as leftovers would be any good. Restaurant was clean and the staff were nice

Ernesto R.

Yelp
Came here because I heard good thing about it. Tried but didn't not like it. Food was very greasy, and not tasty. Service and ambiance was good. It gets pack, so be willing to wait

Cesar Y.

Yelp
Didn't like the food and price was not fair. Quantity of food was large but low quality

Michelle O.

Yelp
The only time I would come back for is the bbq pork because it has a sweet sauce. The chicken enchilado was interesting to try though it just tasted like a chicken stir-fry with a wet spicy, sweet and savory sauce. The fried chicken and fries tasted normal. The pork fried rice and everything lo mein were tasty enough I think though not worth driving out of your way to get. I was hoping the monfongo would have the nice fried crunchy bits but everything was kind of dry and mushy instead.

Jordinho C.

Yelp
First time trying this place, the cashier wasn't friendly at all... I don't need Chick-Fil-A type service... but at least say hi when I walk up and here's your food when it's time to get it. The restaurant itself is very clean. Food, I ordered bbq lo mein and tostones, put way too much soy sauce and noodles were mushy not even the duck sauce saved it. The tostones had good flavor and seasoning but were very greasy... was a pool of grease at the bottom of the container. I was already hesitant that I would ever return here, but thought maybe if I'm in an amazing mood I'll give them another chance.... That is until I got food poisoning. For me that's a line you can't come back from. Would I recommend this place... honestly nah, felt like I wasted my money

Susan P.

Yelp
It was wall to wall when we rolled up today and the staff was working furiously to meet the demands. Limited seating meant jockeying for open tables but the crowd was pleasant. Try off hours until the novelty wears off. This place specializes in Puerto Rican Chinese fusion, so let's of chicken, steak, seafood offerings with a smattering of pork. Sides include the ever popular fried rice but also Puerto Rican favorites like tostadas and mofongo. We had the churrasco steak and the carne Frita and opted for sides of pork fried rice and mofongo and upgraded to a meal which gave us a pork egg roll and a drink. Lots of deliciousness and new tastes to experience. Heads up though, that mofongo is heavy with garlicky so this may not be for those on date night especially early in the relationship!

Yelp
I heard a lot of hype but it wasn't that good to me. The menu was a bit confusing and it lacked flavor. I've had PR food and Asian and this just didn't seem like either one to me.

Yelp
Complete lack of flavor. I had very high hopes of this place considering the fusion of two different cuisines. The rice had zero sazon of what actual fried rice should be and to top it off it wasn't completely cooked, it was hard. The churrasco was bland and not cooked to my preference. My dad got the general tso and he said it was bland. The only dish that was ok-ish was the lo mien. The fried plantains were ok but also that's very simple and hard to mess up. The eggroll was not tasty at all. The best thing on the plate was the french fries.

Yelp
I hate to leave bad reviews for small business's, because I know the industry is a very hard business! But my first try at this place wasn't good! Maybe it was too close to closing time after a busy day, I'm not sure! My review is base on what I order. I tried the boneless bbq ribs with fried rice and yuca bits and mofongo. My ribs were so dry and hard mixed with some fatty pieces. This remind me of bbq pork ribs from Chinese Cantonese bbq places, which are really good in Chinatown. The fried rice felt so heavy and loaded with soy sauce and it was a little bland tasting. The yuca bites were very good thou and the mofongo was a little bland as well. I wasn't impressed at all and I was so excited to try this place for the first time. Maybe I'll come back to try the fried chicken, but I'm not sure that I will try the Chinese food here. I really don't like the taste of Americanize Chinese food. Too sweet!!

Yelp
Read article about Michy's Chinese food with Puerto Rican twist and I had to come try. Michy's is on the corner of shopping strip on Greenhouse rd in between Park Row and Saums Rd. Super close to my house. I was greeted by friendly young lady. You have to place order at the counter. She was very helpful and recommended dishes. I went with the Pepper Steak Mofongo which the meat was thinly sliced and tender along with onions and bell peppers. Meat had a great flavor and under it was the mofongo. It didn't really taste like much and it was on the dry side. I've never had before so really can't compare to anything but it was good. Not my favorite but the meat made up for it. Then I ordered the everything Lo Mein and let me tell you it was delicious. It had shrimp, pork and chicken, beef, broccoli, cabbage, onions. Filled with flavor, highly recommend. Then I ordered side of pork fried rice with had chunks of pork and fresh cut veggies. Good flavor. And for dessert I ordered the sweet plantains. These are my favorite but was a little disappointed because they were a little on the greasy side. My order was to go and it was packed well with plenty of food. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes. If your in the katy area I highly recommend this little neighborhood gem/Chinese/PR food.

Yelp
THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU!!! Walk don't run! Lol but no, i love the drive thru option. Now i think everything is made to order, so i did have to wait for my food but who doesn't love made to order food?! Anywho. I got the fried rice and orange chicken with plantains. The orange chicken was soooo flavorful! It probably tops ANY other Chinese takeout I've ever been to and the rice was good as well. Definitely check them out! My only issue is that they're 30 minutes away--but that's personal right

Yelp
Very close to/pretty much authentic "chinos" of Puerto Rico. Whenever I'm feeling a bit homesick, a nice order of arroz chino con pollo frito and a mofongo or tostones on the side usually does the trick. I recommend placing an order by phone and then heading out to time it so you don't have to wait as long. Staff is very polite and nice, no issues there. I've been going at least twice a month or more ever since I moved to the area.

Yelp
The Good: Food was ok, nothing to brag home to momma. Their side order variety is ample, not just rice. Portions are ample. A little noisy. The place is very clean. Personnel is bilingual. English and Spanish The Bad: The place is very popular. So expect longer lines. Small seating area. The Ugly: Nothing.

Yelp
Been anting something like this for a while. I'm glad that it's here!! Amazing food and the portions for the price can not be beat.
