"Mickey Byrne’s has been Downtown Hollywood’s drinking and gathering spot since 2008. The pub offers a good beer and whiskey selection, along with menu items such as loaded potato skins, shepherd’s pie, and corned beef and cabbage. Bring your pupper – Mickey Byrne’s also has a dog menu and outdoor seating. The pub showcases major sporting events and even opens early for World Cup and other soccer games." - Laine Doss

10 Best Irish Pubs for a Proper Pint in Miami

"There’s an unwritten law somewhere that every town needs an Irish pub, but not all Irish pubs are equal. Mickey Byrne’s is an exemplary – and authentic – version worthy of your attention. The pub, owned by Irish native Mark Rowe, opened in 2008 to bring a bit of Irish food and community to Hollywood. You’ll find no DJs, no giant Shamrocks – just solid pub fare, a good beer selection, great drinks, and a friendly Cheers-like vibe.  Mickey’s is a local spot and welcomes everyone: There’s a complete Irish pub menu with items such as shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash, but there’s also a vegan-friendly menu and even a doggie menu. During soccer season, the pub opens super early for game viewing, and during American football season, Cleveland Browns fans gather to cheer on their team." - Laine Doss

A spacious bar with awesome bartenders, good food and drinks. Service is quick and easy with overall good vibes. On Tuesdays they even host Karaoke night until closing. The location is in the middle of everything, convenient for bar hopping and exploring hollywood circle overall. Parking on weekends can be a little rough though, recommend showing up a little early to avoid trouble. Regardless, You’ll have a fun time here. ❤️

Google
Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub & Restaurant has become one of my spots for a quick beer or whiskey whenever I’m in the mood for a laid-back vibe. The selection of brews on tap is solid—Guinness flows like it should, and they’ve got a decent range of Irish whiskeys to sip on when I want something stronger. It’s the kind of place where I can pop in, have a fast chat with a familiar face behind the bar or a fellow regular, and catch whatever game’s on without any fuss. The atmosphere’s lively but not over-the-top, perfect for watching sports with a pint in hand. Food’s there if I need it, but honestly, I’m usually just in and out for the drinks and the company. It’s not fancy, but it’s reliable, and that’s why I keep coming back.

Google
Spacious bar, great service. Drinks like an old-fashioned are hit and miss depending on the bartender. I've had delicious ones and a few that weren't even close lol

Google
Fish & chips. The batter was nice & crispy but didn’t have any flavor. Needed a lot of salt, and the fish was not flavorful. Not cod, maybe haddock? Steak fries are good if you like them nice & thick. We prefer crispy but that’s personal preference. We really liked the coleslaw! Drinks are reasonably priced and service was good!

Google
Eric has a great personality. If you come here, ask for him. Every time i come and see him the service is memorable. Overall this is a great location to come to but Eric is the best bartender. His energy brings light to this place and he always seems happy to see new customers. 10/10!

Google
I got a burger salad and chili fries. The burger salad was fine. The burger tasted old - like it was reheated leftovers from the day before but I appreciated the amount of chopped onions and cheese. The side of chili cheese fries - well there was no cheese and it was very bland. Atmosphere was great. Beer list was decent - I tried a chocolate stout which was great. Bartenders were really nice. Parking was rough but to be expected for the location on a Sunday. I found parking a couple blocks away and it was only $4 for the 3 hours I was there.

Google
I love this place!!! I always have so much fun there. The owner Mark is a great guy and treats his customers like family. Fernando, Jessica, & Eric are all great bartenders, very friendly and always smiling. Great bar to watch soccer games, UFC, or any other sporting event. Empanadas and fries are super delicious!

Google
Went here for Florida Gators football watch party vs. Georgia. The atmosphere is pretty good as it allowed for a peaceful time for watching the game. Staff are generally attentive to your order, and the food comes out in a speedy manner. I ordered mashed potatoes — stayed hot. Decent appetizer. Plenty of TVs to go around watching sports.

Yelp
The clams were amazing. Love the bartenders. Very accommodating to any wish their clients might have. I absolutely love the atmosphere they create What else could you wish for? Will most certainly visit this Irish Pub. Georgina

Yelp
Located in a nice little area, parking is questionable at best though. Nice, classic pub style with interesting decor. Well lit and very comfortable. One complaint...why, oh why, does the entertainment (soccer today) have to be so loud? Even the soccer hooligans were complaining about the volume. We ordered two beers on tap, Mickey's of course, they were perfect temperature wise, and it did not take very long at all for us to get our drinks. We started out with the Shepherd pie empanadas. The pastry on the pies was perfect .Light, flakey, held together nicely and the filling delivered on every level. The burger... well the patty was thicker than I would've liked but the quality of the meat was top notch. All of layers of this burger were fresh, proportioned perfectly and accentuated every bite. Just the right portion of fries, which were also quite enjoyable. Other than the excessively loud entertainment, the service was excellent. Our server was helpful and very polite. We even had an opportunity to speak to one of the cooks from the kitchen, and they are the ones that suggested the burger that we ordered. Next time we visit, and we will, we will probably take a seat outside a were the volume is a little more manageable.

Yelp
Very busy for Mardi Gras so that could have changed the food quality possible? I was super excited to give the place a try since usually Irish restaurants have great corned beef. Rueben was terrible with no flavor, the corned beef is very thickly cut, the bread was hardly toasted if at all and the kraut was not proportioned right. Possibly the worst Reuben I've ever had. They had gumbo and dirty rice which was not very good. Chicken wings were decent however. I'm not going to comment on the service due to how busy they were.

Yelp
Went for a walk with my dog and came across the pub and decided to eat here because they had outdoor seating. When the menu was presented it was to my surprise they had a doggie menu I was so happy that my dog got to participate in a meal. I ordered him the dog bowl with beef. He loved it! The humans ordered the potato soup and the soup of the day which was lasagna soup and it was delicious, the Shepards píe empanadas were great. We also ordered the mussels if you like mussels this is a must try soak the bread in the juice, trust me. For the main course we ordered The bangers and mash which were cooked well but were not my favorite. The Shepards pie was better. Over all it was a good experience and would recommend this place especially if you're out with a pup he really loved it! The service was great and they treated my pup like a person refilled his water multiple times without asking. The service was great with the humans too ;)

Yelp
We had no clue this place existed! We were happy to see the vegan options for our daughter. We are celebrating my husband's birthday and decided to make some mimi stops. The bartender was so friendly. Max got the usual suspect and I opted for an old fashioned. For a treat, we ordered the poutine. I finally figured out what the bell at a bar means. It's all about the tip. I gave her extra because I wanted to hear the ringing of the bell. Parking is in front and you will need to pay. We are definitely bookmarking this place for a future

Eddie S.

Yelp
Surprisingly good food. Nice ambiance. With the exception of one ill-tempered waitress, the service was very good. Prices were only ok.

Sophie H.

Yelp
Just your average Irish pub. Bought a beer so my friend could use the bathroom. The service is okay.

G H.

Yelp
We did a takeout order for dinner last night. Don't bother with the steak tidbits. At 20 bucks it's not even worth it it's a glob of mashed potatoes with no flavor and six very small pieces of steak, not even half of a steak normally plus it was very garlicky and it doesn't mention that on the menu. Rueben is always delicious with plenty of corn beef on it, so that was worth it. Also got artichoke and spinach dip, it was OK but hard to tell the ingredients. It was also pretty bland.

Scott M.

Yelp
Borderline 5 Star. Tough choice given the service, location & atmosphere. Corned beef & mash in Irish-style gravy & nonstop "football" broadcasts [international & American "types"]: Mickey Byrne's is the real deal. Chimay on tap. Darts & friendly local personalities: escape to a local favorite. Some of the food I prefer: Corned beef w the white gravy on mashed potatoes; chick pot pie (especially the fresh brocolli & carrots they include); XXX meat pies ETC They also successfully compete w the nearby live music performances w an excellent jukebox w all your favorites. Downtown Hollywood is back! Mickey Byrnes deserves a visit.

Rickey S.

Yelp
The only Irish pub in the downtown Hollywood area, Mickey Byrne's is the place to go for watching soccer and a plate of bangers and mash. The interior is dark, wood, and covered in soccer memorabilia, just how I like my Irish pubs! We always order the shepherds pie empanadas, a creative mash up. The other food we've had is nothing to write home about, but it is good, with hearty portions and fair prices. Outside, the service lacks. I have more than once sat with an empty beer on a hot day, eyes peeled for a server so I can order another one. Also, they are always out of Guinness blonde. I'm not sure if it's a supply chain issue or they just aren't ordering it anymore. However, considering guests have to walk inside to look at the chalkboard beer menu (no paper or online version available), it doesn't seem like too much to ask to keep the chalkboard up to date.

Max S.

Yelp
Went to go pickup my takeout order. Bartender was rude. I approach some staff and see they're going through some paperwork so I choose not to bother them and approach the bar. One of those staff gestures to the bartender. She looks at me and makes a "what?" gesture without annunciating anything. I say "I'm here to pick up my to go order" and she says "we'll let you know when it's ready". One of the staff who was pre-occupied with their other activity noticed my order sitting there and asked if it was mine. I confirmed. The bartender did not even look to see if it was ready and it was on the bar in front of her. That bartended is rude and also physically resembles a chode. Physiognomy did not lie in this instance. Wings were great though so just avoid the chode.

Yelp
First time at this Irish Pub. It was very quiet as it was mid day, but still pleasant. My guess had a very good serving of fish and chips and I choose to have a Reuben sandwich. It was good, We certainly order those two again. The two waitress were very friendly . This place is a keeper.

Diana E.

Yelp
Great tiny Irish bar in Hollywood. Everyone super friendly and nice! Our server was on point. Husband had the Rosie Reuben and I had the Shepard's Pie Empanadas. BOTH excellent. Beers on draft nice and cold. I'd give this little place a try for sure.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Okay, this is all I need to say about this spot: Food- spot on Service- better than the food (and the food was spot on, so you know the service was so great). We are outside furthest from people (also one of the only open tables), and we initially had Eddie as our server. He started out with the jokes, and did not lose momentum the entire time we were there- it was literally like Dinner & a Show with Eddie as the host. He was hilarious! He got our drinks, and they were divine (I even ordered a margarita, and he made it happen at an Irish pub- haha!). Then the female server came over (I don't know her name- I only know Eddie's name because of the receipt), and was also SO hilarious and down to earth. She took our food order and was literally in my food thoughts to a T. The two of them eventually came over together, and it was just the golden hour. They were SO fun and funny together. It was literally a show! I was laughing so hard the entire time. I loved it so much, and I hope everyone has the same experience. Eddie & the long blonde haired server were dabombdotcom.

Johan R.

Yelp
Feels gross, everything is sticky, the servers are rude and rush you out immediately after paying. Our server was huffing and puffing at us cause her little iPad machine to pay wasn't working like ma'am that is not my problem, not going back. They were so mad and for what she needs to chill

BK W.

Yelp
I was in Hollywood and my girlfriend suggested Mickey Byrnes as I was looking for some beer and bar food. The interior of the restaurant is exactly what you would expect of an Irish pub. They have lots of TVs to watch the various games they had on. I'd say at 10 beer taps on the bar and lots of canned option as well I ordered a round of wings and they were delicious. Nicely cooked and the Buffalo side with a side of ranch hit the spot. I'm a huge fan of poutine so naturally we had to get the tater tot poutine and it was delicious. Tots were crispy and the gravy was tasty. I would get both again when I come back. The bartender was very attentive and gave us great service which is nice to see as I don't normally get great service like that living in Miami. Overall this is a great spot to stop for reasonably priced beer and food in the downtown Hollywood area. I would come back here again.

Valerii C.

Yelp
My waitress was Emily, the service was phenomenal and the drinks are good. I felt like I was at home and the environment is so fun. I can't wait to come back!

Vicki L.

Yelp
Family owned, great food that is consistently reliable and delicious. Authentic as possible!!!

Valeria R.

Yelp
Great Irish Bar in Downtown Hollywood. We stopped by to watch a soccer match and had a blast! Super cool vibe! They have a great selection traditional Irish food like Fish 'N' Chips and Shepherd's Pie, but they also have burgers and wings! So next time you're in downtown Hollywood, check our out Mickey Byrnes. Lovely day for a Guinness! Cheers! Valerie

Yevgeniy T.

Yelp
Bad service. After ordering drinks, we gad to wait 10 min for them, while watching our server chatting with co worker about something she did last night...

James H.

Yelp
Watched the world cup final here, and I couldn't have picked a better spot to catch that game! Mostly for the vibe, the food and drink was run of the mill bar options, which was to be expected.

Catalina A.

Yelp
The food here is pretty good. I ordered the golden burger and the onion soup. My boyfriend ordered the shepherds pie. We liked everything. However, I will say, the food here is very filling. Both of us were only able to eat half our meal and felt extremely full for the rest of the day. I'm not a fan of shepherds pie, but I would totally order the shepherds pie at Mickey Byrne's for sure.

Rodrigo B.

Yelp
Found this place on our nightly stroll with our doggo in downtown Hollywood. We were in the mood for a beer so why not a Irish pub/restaurant. We built up and appetite so we also decided to order food... I wasn't entirely impressed when the food came. Chicken wings were crispy and flavorful but they were covered with garlic powder rather than actual garlic (ordered the honey bbq garlic) --that was ok. My girlfriends burger was dry with no ketchup/mayo/mustard on it, beside lettuce tomato and onions. She also ordered it medium and it was way past well done. The straw that broke the camels back was the "Curry Fries". I had two bites and set it aside. Long story short, the fries were soggy and the curry was watered down covered by parsley. I politely asked the server to send it back and remove it from the check. All in all, This place wasn't all too bad, service was really good and atmosphere too. The food just wasn't impressive. I'd come back for a few pints of beer but that's about it.

Tairyn A.

Yelp
Ok, Irish Pub's aren't in my radar when selecting a new place to hangout. I came with some members of a Meetup group I have belonged to, for about 10 years. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Although, I did ordered an Old Fashioned with whatever Irish Whiskey they had, and it was not good. I do think that Old Fashioned are better with bourbon rather than scotch. Anyway, it wasn't good. We were offered 2-4-1 drinks and discounted apps, which was great. I also had some shepherds pie empanadas which was great. We also had some hush puppies (I think it's called) they were great as well. The food was better than the booze. Service was spotty. Our waitress hardly ever came and there were at least ten of us at the table. She could have pulled in better tips had she tried. But the best part was the band. They were really good. They covered songs from Counting Crows, Wild Cherry, some old and newer music of various genres. They were great, we sang and danced and had a lot of fun. I would definitely be back

Sandi C.

Yelp
I'm not been here before but we were here for the Mardi Gras parade, the place was packed! We were lucky that our lady got up and had a table and let me tell you service was so fast food was delicious Sandra was our server first, she could not have been more on top of the game, Got our drinks quick order correctly we have a fish & chips! That the batter was so light and crispy and had a lot of flavor. French fries were hot crisp and delicious also the tartar sauce definitely was homemade had the perfect Twang, also we shared the Parmesan honey chicken wings that had a lot of meat fresh Parmesan cheese and just enough honey Alfonso and Teresa also kept stopping by our table to make sure we didn't need anything and from what I could see everybody had great teamwork there! Great job guys!!

Who N.

Yelp
I love this place, soccer fans this is your place. A break from all the BS in Hollywood.

AJ R.

Yelp
This is a great Irish pub to kick back and watch the games. Whenever I come here I always get the Buffalo garlic parmesan wings and a side of fries (not pictured because I get too excited whenever I see it and forgot to take a picture). I did also get the Irish onion soup and creamy potato which were both very delicious. Will order those two again. They have a rotating menu of draft beers which is a nice plus as well. One of the better Irish pubs in south florida for sure! Can't go wrong!

Rolando O.

Yelp
This is a fun local bar that has really good food. The burgers are huge! The wings are tasty! And the fish and chips is a special on Tuesdays, I believe, and it fed both me and my son! It's also the official American Outlaw bar, so if the National team is playing, it's a good bet we'll have the place full of passionate fans.

Chriztian R.

Yelp
I came to this place since I live near the area and didn't want to go too far. It's located near Young Circle and they don't have private parking, street parking only. It can get difficult to find parking in the evening. It's a sports bar, so it's a casual place with plenty of televisions to watch whatever game is might be playing. I ordered their bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries on my first visit and it was a lot better than I expected. They're sweet potato fries were good and the regular fries were nice and crispy. I found the burger to be quite flavorful. The service was good and quick. Didn't have to wait long for our food. The place wasn't too busy on a Wednesday evening. On my second visit I ordered their version of the Big Mac to go. It was good but wasn't impressed, I still prefer the regular bacon cheeseburger. I would place their burger on the 3rd tier our of 4 together with Burgerfi and Five Guys.

Stacy O.

Yelp
Love coming here for food and drinks! They have happy hour which is really good. They also have good music and atmosphere. The staff is very nice. The wings were perfect and so were the onion rings! Can't wait to go back!

Tahsiah F.

Yelp
I would not give this place one star. it is very trashy on the inside and the server was rude as hell. we ordered two shots of the silver house tequila with a side of pineapple. We were there hardly 10 minutes & the server comes back and says " is there anything else I can get you us servers are trying to leave so you can order your drinks at the bar " so we went ahead and ordered another round of shots so she could hurry up and leave since she did not want to work. she brought us back gold tequila, clearly not what we had the first time these shots didnt even have lime with them like the first ones . so I take it back to her and the bartender and they tell me that that's what they brought me the first time. I am willing to bet everything on my life they did not bring me gold tequila the first time even my date recognized it was something different. I HATE gold tequila. they told me I did not know what I ordered the first time....... I think it's really sad servers and bartenders don't know what they're serving their guest I had them refund the money and we went somewhere else who is knowledgeable of the alcohol they're serving to their customers! I don't know about you guys but I don't want to drink some thing I didn't order especially if the bartender cant even tell me what they poured the first time !

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Service was just okay nothing out of the ordinary. The burgers are good however. It was cooked to the perfect temp and great selection of beers. My only complaint would just be the service. They were not full at all and it felt like you had to ask before being seen or there were always multiple waiters helping you so you never knew who to ask for.

Jason P.

Yelp
What can I say about Mickey Byrne's, what a place! Bartenders and servers are friendly and attentive, and management are great hosts. Drinks come fast and everything I've ever eaten on the menu has been spot on. Some of my faves are the French dip, Cajun Flat bread and the Shepard's Pie. Top it off with a fresh pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson and Sláinte, you feel like you're bellied up to a pub in Donegal! Pooches are welcome in the spacious outdoor seating. Petey loved it here! All protocols for Covid are being followed rigorously, so not to worry. Stop by next time you're in Hollywood, you won't leave thirsty! Also they throw one hell of a St. PATRICK'S WEEK PARTY HERE!

Karen P.

Yelp
I really wish I could give this pub a 4.5, but alas I cannot. My husband and I came here for our Friday night dinner out. It happened to be Cinco de Mayo so as an Irish pub, it wasn't too packed. We sat ourselves, and a server greeted us promptly. My husband got a Harp - he loves coming to Irish pubs for that alone. I got a Kettle and cranberry. Both drinks were cold and delicious. My husband got the Guiness Chicken and I got the Mickey B's Burger. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and fries. However, my burger with Irish bacon was fantastic. I got onion rings were nicely battered. Definitely a few steps above normal bar food. Also, really great Irish pub feel. More intimate and cozy.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Everything about this establishment is absolutely fantastic. The vibe, food & staff are wonderful & delicious. They even have fresh crispy celery sticks with their tasty wings. Cleanest restrooms of any pub in South Florida. Full Moon & GREAT music.

Jamey G.

Yelp
The bar tenderer Lindsay is fantastic. Great beer, friendly owner. Fun atmosphere, they got the games, darts, and music. It's a good time!

Kendra K.

Yelp
Awesome place to chill and grab something to eat.. Nate is the best bartender EVER He will always remember your drinks Karen the owner is so friendly and always introduces herself to new customers.. They make you feel at home and relaxed which is impressive since most places good give 2 f*cks Their bangers are the best and hamburgers perfectly greasy yum so good and drinks are a great selection for beers.. I can't forget my favorite Taco Tuesday 3 tacos for $7 and my husband's Fav Monday night steak special for $10!!! All the bartenders are outgoing and personable so easy to get along with

Daniel M.

Yelp
This place has everything I look for in an Irish pub. Great food and the staff totally rocks!!!! Especially Lindsay and Eric!!! I even me t the owner mark and guess what...he's full on Irish!!!! This place is the real deal!!!!if you ever find yourself in downtown Hollywood do yourself a favor and stop by for a beer and a shot of Jamison. You will not be disappointed!!!

Alex D.

Yelp
Friendly staff and ownership. Traditional and tasty food with great drinks and extensive beer selection!!! Would definitely recommend this place for any sporting event

Lilli And Jason S.

Yelp
Mickey Byrne's is the best local hangout you can find in Hollywood. We have been going there forever, and it is still our favorite local spot. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and we definitely love the drinks! It is always a good time at Mickey Byrne's!!!

Helper T.

Yelp
Great Bartenders, very friendly, service is pretty fast, and the drinks are quite good!! There is a jukebox from which you can change the music, which is a cool feature for a bar. They have a wide selection of beers. Inside and Outside areas. Inside is quite dark but adds a nice "ambiance"!! Definitely a place to try out, what's to lose? (Except ones soberi

Claudia W.

Yelp
I have walked past this pub so many times and finally my husband and I decided to check it out. Wow! The burgers are so good, probably the best I've had in all of South Florida. I could go on and on with all the different menus items but this review would be too long to read. Everything I have had is delicious but I have to say the best part about this place is the staff. To be able to enjoy a meal as good as this and have such a pleasant encounter with everyone is very unique. I highly recommend it. There is even a doggy menu. Only service dogs allowed inside of course

Carren R.

Yelp
We were here the night before a cruise. It was busy but the service was decent. We started inside but the weather was so nice we went out to the outdoor seating. Perfect place for a group to have drinks. Fun area.

Nina T.

Yelp
Really like this Irish Pub. The service is always steady. The bartenders are quick, friendly to the point and make a good drink. They have a very large wooden jenga and darts to play games and if you come before 5pm it is fun for family to eat the delicious food and play games. The food is pretty darn good which I was surprised because its a pub. My husband loves the I think they are called Sheppard's pie empanadas and my teen always gets the Sheppard pie. My other son just loves the creamy potato soup. Nice spot!

Chris H.

Yelp
I went here to watch the Northwestern game and it was awesome. Great food, great vibes, great fun

Victoria R.

Yelp
Best wings you will find in Hollywood! And by far best customer service extremely happy and will continue to come back here for a weekend night!

Michael H.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and went there today for a Cleveland Browns game as they are a local Browns Backer Bar. Was immediately welcomed and meant to feel like family. Lots of TVs with all games on, but they definitely feature the Browns game, lots of drawing and prizes. Food was excellent, beer and whiskey selections were plentiful. Lastly the service was outstanding. Highly recommend! And by the way they are a soccer friendly bar also! Thanks Mickey Byrnes for a great day!

John B.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for as long as I can remember and always I great awesome service and a really cool atmosphere to be in especially with friends. The drinks are always great and the food is on point.

Tim S.

Yelp
It probably seems pretty obvious to say a Irish Pub is fun to be in. But it's not. If you have been to enough Irish pubs , Which I have, then you know many are touristy, stink of smoke, or just have no "je ne sais quoi"(why use French in a Irish review? Because it takes cojones) But similar to the honey badger, "Mickey's don't give a $h1t". They don't cater to the tourists(except on St. Patty's money maker day, can you blame 'em for selling out) But on any other given day service is decent, but not overly kind, and the clientele is cool, but not exactly the family from Kansas. Locals end up massing here. They do have a true Moscow Mule, but don't have Redbull. They have a great juke box that you can use on your cell phone, but people can pay to skip your song. It is place that a disaster seems imminent, but fun is virtually a lock. You can't regret stepping of the downtown strip for a pint at Mickeys

Shannon S.

Yelp
Great food! Great Drinks! Great people working! Take your good friends they will become Great friends!! I'm always in a great mood when I'm at Mickey Byrne's !!! I recommend it whole heartedly!!!
