"Matt Hinckley (Hinckley’s Fancy Meats) and Jacob Zepf (The Neighbors, Freehand Goods) pooled their talents to develop this midcentury-inspired diner and cocktail bar in the heart of College Park. Notable eats: the Fatty Melt fashioned from seared beef and bone marrow, the elk bacon cheeseburger, and, hold on to your pillbox hats, steak Diane. The Neighbors’ bar manager, Jonathan Scott, oversees the cocktail program here as well." - Faiyaz Kara

Yelp
A great spot with nice clean and modern decor, yummy food and great drink options. We had the steak and eggs and Spanish tortilla (not pictured) for brunch today. I had a hibiscus mimosa, which was nice and light and not overly sweet. Delish! I also love that they use cava for the mimosas and not that cheap bottomless stuff. Our bartender server was fantastic too and other bartenders checked on us as well. Will definitely return.

Yelp
First visit to Mid Dive Drive and looking forward to many more. Let's start with service. Excellent bartenders/mixologists. I order a Negroni everywhere we go and this one of the best I've had in a very long time. Perfect balance. Apps- we had the sour cream and onion dip with homemade chips, deviled eggs and duck fries with melted talleggio cheese. You see these types of options on many menus and I have to stress that Chef Matt has taken very familiar childhood favorites and elevated them in a way that had us delighted. I have never eaten deviled eggs so creamy and rich. It reminded me of parties with my family as a kid in the 1980's but with a high end finish. I could eat them all day long. The onion sour cream dip was an another elevated classic with fresh sweet onions and the fries smothered in moist duck and talleggio ( one of my favorite cheeses) was the best way to end the night. Chef Matt was kind and fun and has some serious NYC chops under his belt that he should brag about more!

Yelp
Yummo! First time here and I already can't wait to come back. We ordered deviled eggs ($8) which are served with 4, Fish Sandwich with fries ($19) and an MDD Smashburger with fries ($16) and we added bacon. The deviled eggs are really tasty, creamy and leans a little mustardy which is just fine. The Smashburger was wonderful. The meat is tasty enough by itself that you don't really need condiments...although the special sauce is just right on it. It is served on a nice soft and toasted and so good, a great compliment to the meat. This is made with cheddar cheese and the bacon we added is perfect and tasty. One of the better burgers I've had. The Crispy Fish sandwich is really nice. The fish extends outside the bun, it's fried crispy and the fish itself is a flaky cod. This is served with a slaw on a Kaiser roll. The only thing I didn't care fir is the Kaiser bun, just because I don't care fir this type of bread. The fries are crisp and tasty. We sat inside and they have quite a few regular height tables as well as high tops and seating around the bar. They do offer cover outdoor seating on the front of the restaurant facing Edgewater. Service is friendly and just as attentive as we wanted and needed. Music selection playing in the background is classic rock and very nice. There are TV's around the dining room with different sporting events playing. This is a really nice casual restaurant that feels comfortable and relaxing. Our server was Nicole and she did a great job. We will be back and recommend Mid Drive Dive.

Yelp
Update...we got food and it was delicious! My husband and I shared some apps. Deviled Eggs, Wings, and Crispy Pig Ears. YUM!

Yelp
Drinks and service were great! Playlist was fire.really cool spot for a group for brunch. Love that they are only open 11-5 on Sundays to let the staff off.

Yelp
So we came here for happy hour for date night I wasn't too impressed with the actual space. It's very dive bar, but the pricing and the style of food is giving more luxury, which was very confusing. I would say the drinks were pretty cute and pretty decent, but I was not a fan of the food, except for the housemaid onion dips and the housemaid potato chips. We did get ceviche, which wasn't that great, and instead of giving us plantain chips which they ran out of they gave us a cold slice of sweet potato, which I found was very unflattering and very and cohesive with a dish so I am very disappointed in that. But I don't think I'll be back to this area but if this is your vibe? I definitely say try it out.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of dining at Mid Drive Dive twice now, and this is truly everything the College Park neighborhood needed. It's definitely not your average dive bar... The design is stunning, the food is elevated, and the drinks are delicious thanks to the team behind Hinckley's Meats and The Neighbors. They have a full bar with craft cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine and they're open for both lunch and dinner. It's a cozy, family-friendly spot that's perfect for a casual outing. So far, we've really enjoyed the disco duck fries, deviled eggs, elk bacon cheeseburger, beet & orange salad, and the fresh cookies made daily. There's still a lot on the menu that I want to try, so I'm excited to go back again. They also have happy hour all day on Monday and 3-6pm Tues-Fri which features $8 cocktails and $2 off drafts, wine, and snacks. The staff is wonderful and I'm loving this new addition to the community!

Yelp
A lively gastropub along the main "drive" of Edgewater Ave in College Park. The food and drink, service, and atmosphere were all five stars. We benefitted on our visit from a street festival that ended as we arrived. So much energy from family and friends talking, laughing, and enjoying their food and drink! I noticed how all the servers seemed to be enjoying themselves as well even though the place was packed and the back of the house was slinging food as fast as they could (I could see them through the little opening from my seat). Our food was flavorful all-around. I ordered the Mushroom Smashburger and enjoyed the combo of telaggio cheese (had to Google it), grilled onions, aioli, and oyster mushrooms that enhanced the medium to medium well smashburger (first one ever!). My substituted CSA Salad (for fries) filled a small bowl and contained greens, veggies, almonds and garbanzo beans (no dictionary needed for that one). Even though technically it was a side, the salad was substantive and the vinaigrette dressing rightly brought it together. My wife chose the Grilled Mushrooms entree, under the Supper section. She loved it and my taste of the faro dish confirmed her good taste. The fries - nice crunch, potato-y, and not greasy. My son and daughter gave them high marks along with their Smashburger and Fish and Grilled Cheese (kids meals) respectively. My beverage originally could have been the Witbier from The Ravenous Pig, but when I mentioned the sour from Edmunds to Rick our server, he highly recommended the sour. He was spot on! Rick was great throughout the night with his friendliness, recommendations, updates, apologies for the busyness that equaled slower than usual plates to the table, and all-around service. Come for the food, the drinks, or both and bring your friends and family. We are looking forward to returning!

Yelp
I wish I had taken more pictures but it was pretty busy and I didn't want to be reported for stalking.... This opened in the old Graffiti Junction location. The smash burger caught my eye. I got the mushroom and Swiss smash burger and it was sooooo good! And huge! I brought half home. Loved the slightly battered fries and the organic iced tea was so fresh and flavorful. My server was Jacob and he was attentive and welcoming! I'm gonna go back with friends.

Yelp
Finally got to check out this new College Park spot today! I arrived at 3pm (right when it opens on Saturday) and grabbed one of the several tables outside. We had great service and was able to order right away. I ordered the Mushroom Smashburger with fries. The smashburger was cooked just like it's supposed to be - thin and crispy, yet juicy. There was plenty of mushrooms and onions on top. Oh and the onion roll was SO SOFT AND SO GOOD. The fries were also perfectly crispy. This entrée was $17. Also ordered the pineapple upside down cake. It was just alright. The cake was not that soft and for $8 I anticipated it to be a bigger portion. It was equivalent to the size of a cupcake. While dining, there was a girl playing the guitar and singing inside. She was doing some great covers and it added to the vibes. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty. I'm looking forward to coming back, sitting at the bar, and trying cocktails next time!

Yelp
Since we come often to this area, we were excited to give this new place a try. It sure did not disappoint! We walked in and were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Then we were greeted by our server Victoria and she was nice, friendly, attentive, happy to make any suggestions and checked on us often. Our drinks were good and the snacks we ordered were tasty, fresh, made to order with quality ingredients and good flavor. The portions were a bit small but a good mini snack to go with our drinks. We got the deviled eggs, smoked fished croquettes and the bone marrow with bread (needed more than 1 piece for sure!). For drinks we got the Stetson, Harvard, Goblin Lager, Apricot Sour and dirty martinis. We will stop by to try other items for sure!

Yelp
The owners of hinckley meats & the neighbors are bringing you mid drive dive -- opening March 1st. This lovely transformation from the old Graffiti Junction is hard to believe. The menu items are elevated American fare, pictured: * disco duck fries * mullet croquettes * deviled eggs * mussels * the fatty melt * elk bacon cheeseburger The cocktails are also a must, as expected. And that central statement bar will soon be a busy spot on this side of town!

Liz B.

Yelp
Came back today and tried the Bacon Elk cheeseburger, side Cobb (it came stacked) and ordered the Mushroom Burger again! As always service was great and we enjoyed the porch before it's too hot. We are so glad you're in the 32804

Joey C.

Yelp
All the above! Food, service and ambiance :) Love the smash burger. They have a very creative menu and the staff is top notch!

Niki W.

Yelp
A smaller menu but everything we ordered was great! Love the atmosphere with the live plants. Concept is a nice casual in my opinion which is perfect for college park.

Yelp
Came with friends to celebrate my birthday early. Awesome neighborhood restaurant which is a cross between a diner and tavern. Serving comfort foods with a twist. The disco duck fries were perfection! Probably the best cooked fries I've had in town. The mussels were plump with tasty bread slices for dipping in the light tomato garlic broth. Friends enjoyed their burgers and the salads were excellent! Great place to gather with friends in a low key atmosphere. Outstanding servers Can't wait to go back!

Janai M.

Yelp
It's a nice laid back elevated neighborhood bar, with a nice aesthetic. The drinks were good...happy hour all day on Mondays. For a neighborhood bar, the food options are more interesting and not your everyday bars food, which is great! However, I ordered typical items because I was too hungry to try something new...don't judge me lol.

Yelp
We came to Mid Dive Drive for a work lunch and had a lovely experience. The aesthetic of the restaurant is so cool and we loved the vibe. Service was good and our server was very attentive. To drink, I had the Stetson, which primarily featured gin and cucumber. It was refreshing and delicious. For appetizers, we tried the deviled eggs, the beet and orange, and the disco duck fries. The deviled eggs were unique with a citrusy flavor. The disco duck fries were really good with tender duck and salty gravy. The beet and orange salad with yogurt was refreshing and bright. For my entree, I got the mushroom burger. It was absolutely fabulous! The burger was juicy and tender. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and proportionate to the burger. The rosemary aioli and onions tied it all together. The fries were crunchy and hot. It was a superior burger experience. My co workers also loved their food. They raved about the elk burger, tuna melt, and smash burger. I'd love to come back soon, especially for their lunch specials.

Yelp
This is a very welcome addition to the College Park restaurant scene. The old (gross) Graffiti Junction interior has been completely transformed into a bright, beautiful and clean space. The seating is comfortable and spacious, including a few outdoor tables. The restaurant was only a few weeks old when we visited so the service was going through some growing pains, but I'm sure that will improve with time. The menu is limited but a nice variety. The deviled eggs and onion dip appetizers were two highlights. Our elk sloppy Joe was actually a bit bland but my son's burger was yummy. Very excited for this new family friendly smart spot in the CP!

Erin G.

Yelp
Love this little upscale American diner. College park needed a welcoming restaurant with great comfort food. We sat at the bar (bartender was incredible and greeted us with a big smile) and ordered burgers. These burgers are the best I've had in Orlando. Cooked to perfection with amazing toppings. We will be regulars for sure.

Nikki K.

Yelp
We came in about a month ago and had fantastic service and food. Came in this week with some of town visitors and I was so excited to recommend the burgers and eat here. Seems like the veggie burger completely changed, this time it was a soggy & tasteless mess. The elk burger wasn't as delicious or distinct as the first time. Sitting at the bar which wasn't busy, the personality-less bartenders seemed more preoccupied with their phones or looking around aimlessly. I still love the space and atmosphere, however this time around the food and service was subpar & kind of made me miss the old graffiti junction.

Paul M.

Yelp
Excellent pulled pork Benedict at Sunday brunch today. Good vibe and good service too!

Gam M.

Yelp
A great place to enjoy delicious food and fantastic drinks with friends & family! The vibe is very casual/relax and a good hangout spot in college park area. Lots of people came with children & babies, with high ceiling and open space it can gets quite loud so come prepared to project your voice. When you get in, you seat yourself wherever you want (no need to wait for the host bc there's no host up front) and the servers will come greet you at the table. The servers are attentive and there are about 2-3 serving a section. Our server was very friendly and gave great recommendations. We ordered 4 drinks from happy hour deals: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stetson. My favorite was Yale; it reminds me of the aviation but on a lighter side. We got duck liver pate for snacks. It was very good but could use a little more mostarda on top to help contrast the liver flavor. We got Southwestern Chicken Salad sandwich and Venison Meatloaf for main course. All sandwiches come with a side of fries, but I love that you can upgrade for a side of any salad for $2. We chose to upgrade for a side of the Beets & Orange salad, totally worth it! Happy hour deals are amazing (all day Monday, 3-6pm Tues-Fri): $8 selected cocktails, $2 off draft beer, wine, & snacks. All the food & drinks are reasonably priced for a college park restaurant, not cheap but not expensive either. Parking in college park area is always quite a bit of a headache as someone who's anxious about parking situation. Luckily there's a small parking lot right behind the building that you can park. There are signs in the parking lot that says "reserved for guests of: furst retail center" which made me concerned initially. But when I went inside to ask the waitress she said that it's ok to park there. Overall, I would come back again to try more drinks and snacks!

David N.

Yelp
Only open a few months and increased drink prices $6 to $8. The drink was weak and poured using a jigger, only inexperienced bartenders use a jigger unless the owner insist on it no customer wants to see their drink pour with a jigger, can't your bartenders count to 4/6? 4 would be the WEAK drink like I got and 6 would be good drink. It seams to me Mid Drive Dive in College Park is priced and trying to be like they're in Winter Park. They need to take DIVE out of their name. Very misleading.

Yelp
On the off chance that my husband and I get to explore Orlando without our kiddo in tow, we try to make the most of it to visit new and buzzing establishments. So we decided to check @middrivedive during this occasion, because luckily for us it was right across the street from another event we were attending. Score First off: the décor and ambiance. On-point, clean, minimalistic aesthetics that honestly gave us motivation to redecorate our own home. We also loved the music choices which brought us back to our childhood and teen days (use your imagination), which is played at a decent-enough level for you to carry a conversation. Let's get to the food and libations: simply put, the drinks are on pointWe stuck primarily to their appetizer choices as a lighter lunch option and they all came through. For drinks, we tried: the Cafe Negroni, Jazzercise Club, and the House of Jack. For apps, we tried: Chips & Dip, Deviled eggs, and Ceviche. Definitely coming back for their supper options. * They are located in: 2401 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32804

Yelp
Let's talk about horrible customer service & lack of accountability. My partner and I were excited to try this place , but the experience was one that left us not wanting to come back. We came in & sat ourselves & waited 10 minutes before someone came by. The drinks were decent however the customer service was horrendous. We put an order in for the smash burger and the Fish & chips. Not only did it take 45 minutes for us to get the food when people who came in after us received their meals waaay before ours, but also they brought out the wrong food! They brought out the smash burger but also brought out a mushroom burger that was not ordered. We quickly informed them that it wasn't ours & the guy took it away. I watched him confront the waitress who took our order about it and it was apparent that she put in the wrong order. So apparent that we watched them get a bowl and take it to the bar to get the beer for the food. Now normally you would think the waitress would come back and immediately apologize for the error and explain everything. But NO! They proceeded to ignore us for 10 minutes while still waiting for my food while my partner had theirs. At this point I'm livid and flagged down another waitress and told her to tell the waitress to not even worry about it & bring the check. The waitress then found the other waitress and told her & that's when she finally came over not even apologizing and asked if I was sure because it was almost done. I informed her that they could just keep it at this point . My partner then gave some feedback on the smash burger stating that it was missing the sauce which she quickly quipped that they put it on the side & he then pointed out the sauce that they gave him was ketchup not the sauce. He also made a note that the burger wasn't really smashed to which she replied sarcastically " thanks for the feedback man" unbelievable. I would cut more grace if they were busy but it seemed to be a pretty slow night . Please do better

Lisa M.

Yelp
Food was ok for the price. Had an elk burger and couldn't tell there was elk in it vs a regular hamburger. I have had bison burgers and you can definitely tell the difference. Burger was on the smallish side for price. Can get a larger burger for the price with more flavor at BJs chain. Nothing on the menu made the restaurant stand out. Service was good. Music way too loud. Had to yell at a small table for three people to hear each other. Restaurants don't seem to recognize they are not a club.

Shawn H.

Yelp
This place has the potential to add a star on our next visit. The place is cute and has a good neighborhood vibe. The service is collaborative among waitstaff. So, you never really know who your server is, but it doesn't seem to matter. We never waited beyond a reasonable amount, and every server that came to the table was lovely. We were there at happy hour, so we got a couple starters. The Disco Duck Fries were well done. Crispy fries with plenty of toppings. The bone marrow appetizer was underwhelming. It was about a 1.5-2" section of bone with less than an ounce of marrow. The four slices of bread were too much for the measly marrow. We had a couple dinner salads which were exactly as advertised. The croutons on the Caesar were the star. All in all, I don't know that we ordered the most dynamic items on the menu. So, we'll have to come back and try some other items with the goal of adding that 5th star.

Sofia P.

Yelp
The sautéed mushrooms with goat cheese are DELICIOUS. Drinks are amazing and the staff is so incredibly friendly. 10/10, very happy for this beautiful bars opening.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here on the second day after their grand opening. Staff was very friendly and apologetic regarding the wait time. I ordered their "smash" burger. Sadly the patty was not smashed at all, it was thick and cooked well done resulting in a dry burger. On the other hand, the Disco Duck Fries and their Deviled Eggs were great.

Mike W.

Yelp
I would give this a 3.5/5 but since I can't, I rounded up since they are still working out the kinks of being a newly opened restaurant. I stopped by a few days ago for drinks and dinner. I would give the drinks 5 stars. I had the Princeton and Dartmouth from the happy hour drink section, both solid, as well as the Dancing on the Drive from the main cocktail menu. I recommend it! The food is where I'm a bit more critical. I was pretty disappointed that they were all out of oysters, but again they are newly opened so I understand. I ordered the MDD Smashburger ($15) and was not super into it, especially for such a high price point. The patty was not really "smashed" so it ended up being a very well done regular burger. It didn't have that malliard reaction going on that is expected in smash burgers. Aside from the "Blue Plate Special", this was the cheapest main dinner item on the menu. I've noticed a trend of places calling themselves "dives" while having pretty expensive prices, which is a bit deceiving. I would honestly prefer a burger from Shake Shack as it's cheaper, tastes better, and still has quality ingredients. I love supporting local businesses but they need to at least match or exceed the quality of a chain restaurant. Overall I would still recommend trying this place, but more so for the cocktails. I look forward to giving them another chance with the food and hope they take my critiques in a constructive manner.

Tree N.

Yelp
Can you say identity crisis? Not sure what this is. TVs in the back like a sports bar, dive name but $18 hamburgers, eclectic high end atmosphere, no lunch. Wtf are they trying to do??? Weird. Brittany- what is the concept? That's what's confusing. I would love to support you even daily, but it's very confusing. Need a diet beer too. Just miller lite or something diet. Needless to say, pretty disappointed. I wish it was a dive bar. Or if not, then some kind of identity. ? I'm not in the business but as a consumer, the college park people I talk to are confused. Just fyi.

Abbey A.

Yelp
I work right behind Mid Drive Dive and for days the amazing smell of char grill was enticing my nose. Well tonight I decided to finally see what it was all about. First, the atmosphere was wonderful, nice decor, clean and crisp. There was a pretty decent bar crowd for happy hour and the tables were quickly getting filled. It's nice to see a newer restaurant thriving. My husband and I sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by Brandon, who took care of us on our visit. Super friendly and attentive especially considering the decent amount of bar guests he had to tend to. We started with the disco duck fries, they arrived hot, cheesy and had great flavor. The duck was perfectly cooked and we very much enjoyed every bite. My husband ordered the elk burger and myself the smash burger w a side caesar salad. Both burgers were delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Neither burger needed additional condiments because the flavor was on point, the secret sauce that came with my smash was flavorful and a nice addition but honestly the burger itself was great on its own. My side salad was crisp and fresh. We very much enjoyed our experience and we will definitely be coming back to explore more of their tasty menu offerings. Highly recommend you stop in and give them a try!

Paul D.

Yelp
Service was excellent. A bit percussive (same as when it used to be Graffiti Junktion), but not bad. Excellent Chips and dip. I would rate our visit a 5 star, but for one issue. The batter on the fish & chips was a bit thick, and not crispy. Everything else was excellent. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich, and he loved it (and I thought it looked really good).

Emily D.

Yelp
The best thing to happen to College Park. I hope you guys have the best success because it's much deserved. The menu is what you'd expect from a high-quality dive bar if you know what a high-quality dive bar is supposed to be. Service was top-notch--quick drinks and food to the table and a friendly, warm staff. Be sure to make this spot a staple.

Matthew H.

Yelp
This place is a 10/10. Came here for my first visit with friends for St. Patty's Day and just got drinks and snacks, but even those blew me away. Sat outside and it was very comfortable in the late afternoon. But the inside? It's gorgeous. Ambiance is perfect, color palette is excellent, bar is MASSIVE, ambient music is well-balanced, tables and chairs are so cute, the community bookshelf is such a nice touch and, most importantly, the restrooms are PERFECTION. The rest of the menu (including happy hour) looks great and I'm already excited to come back again. Such a perfect addition to CP!

Ivonne C.

Yelp
Food was great. The menu options were fun. Service was on point. Victoria our server was fantastic. I'll be back for sure. You can tell the chef likes good food. Ambiance felt like an elevated/clean dive bar. Bathrooms were immaculate!

Connie B.

Yelp
New restaurant by Hickley. He knows meat. He has a food stall in East End Market. Remember the Sloppy Joes of your childhood. The Mid Drive Dive has Sloppy Joes....made from Elk! Tastes wonderful. It took me back to my childhood. My partner had liver pate. As you can see, not the normal Pub food. Eclectic menu, but great place to try. There is a center piece bar. It is not too noisy. The restaurant is open & bright. We would definitely return.

Carris R.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went last Friday night and the place was busy! Luckily we were able to grab a two top in the back by the bar. I got their take on a spicy margarita and I loved it! We also got their fish croquettes for an appetizer and I thought those were really nice, great breading. The food overall was very good and so was the service, everything came out quick and hot! I think this is a great addition to College Park, way better than Graffiti Junction.

Kimberly G.

Yelp
Extremely small portions for appetizers for the price. Way too much mustard on my sandwich. Salad dressing had no taste. The beer I wanted on draft was not available at 7:30 PM. It's a new restaurant but I won't go back for quite a while. Until they get their act together.

Kevin D.

Yelp
First time in and very pleasant. Lovely service from Brandon, Alys ( VERY nice but I can't remember name, Purple Hair), and August. Service was the high point. Beer was priced well ($5 Lagunitas IPA) and selection was good. Full bar with fancy drinks but not cheap. Wine was expensive and a small pour ( 5 oz. , $10) though Bartender did add some when we commented (nice move). Music was good and cute inside. It seemed bright though. You need light without seeing the bulbs. We didn't eat but the menu looked a bit pricey with a funky selection. We'll be back though and check it out again!
