We went for a small team dinner, and everything was great — we’d love to come back more often! The appetizers were delicious, with the Crispy Brie being my favorite. The Beef Tartare had a sour flavor that wasn’t quite my taste, but the entrées more than made up for it — the duck was absolutely amazing! We tried 3 out of the 4 desserts, and they were all fabulous, perfectly balanced and not too sweet

The Asian fusion restaurant, nestled within the historic theater building, offers a captivating blend of modern ambiance and delectable cuisine. Our dining experience revolved around sharing an array of small plates, with the oysters and dumplings emerging as clear favorites. The pairing with a bottle of Chablis proved to be perfect, enhancing the flavors of the dishes. Overall, the restaurant's captivating setting and delightful Asian fusion fare left a lasting impression, making it a noteworthy dining destination.

Google
Food is quite overpriced for what it is and everything is very very salty and overly complicated. Would love to see them tone down the "fusion-ness" of all the things and maybe lower prices by 15%. Ambiance is super lovely and chill, with great service / staff. LOVE all the plants and the giant windows. Def a decent date for cocktails + small bites, but not a foodie destination. The place is quite hard to find - Hidden leaf is an apt description. Like trying to find Koroks.

Google
Amazing dishes, lovely service (shoutout to our super friendly server!), and a very groovy late night event at the bar we enjoyed dancing at. Great spot for dressing nice and celebrating our friend's birthday🎉 it can be tricky finding nice restaurants for her bc she's on an AIP diet right now and has a lot of restrictions. We didn't end up doing the jazz club but we will next time, it looks awesome!

Came for drinks, left having a full meal. The restaurant is located on the third (maybe technically second) floor so you get an interesting perspective/good people watching spot if you’re sitting by the window. Rice cake dish was good (but only get it if you Iike rice cakes since they put a lot of them in it) and Squash dish was alright (once again, it is a lot of squash). My friend recommended the cumin lamb dumplings and I do think they were the best food item we ordered. Drinks were top notch ($19-21) and the bartender Victor was very friendly. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and getting his drink recommendations / learning more about Hidden Leaf. He is a killer cocktail maker and I’ll be back for more!! We also got an M&M shot at the end of our meal which I’ve never had before, it was absolutely delicious. Overall, the restaurant vibe is solid and this place is great for small or large groups of friends, and date nights.

Google
Great tasting food. A nice setting for a friends gathering. Two bars-one upstairs and one downstairs. We ordered all the appetizers and made an Asian-Tapas experience. They brought out the individual plates spaced apart to allow for a full culinary experience. Hidden Leaf is a Hidden Gem

*When I reviewed this place, it was called the Hidden Leaf. Now it has a different business name, and management possibly. What a fantastic hidden gem. This place transports you to some exotic fantasy Asian paradise all while being in the heart of the city. The plates/portions are delicious and generous. The service is impeccable. And the drinks are fabulous. This is a special place, grab a reservation asap!

Google
The atmosphere and service were great. We went during happy hour and ordered a few specials and drinks. There was a special Dragon drink for lunar new year that came in the most fun cup. The food was okay and a fusion of different Asian cuisine. I’d skip the dumplings because they were underdone when we had them but the skewers weren’t bad.

Gauri S.

Yelp
Food and drinks are decent but charging $250 for a steak & a side of potatoes is not cool. We went for work dinner on a weeknight, asked our server how much is the steak (listed as MP) before ordering it. We never heard from the server but next thing you know 2 orders of steak show up at the table. It was partially our fault for not confirming the price before digging in but c'mon $450+ for 2 mediocre dry aged steaks?? I've had dry aged steak at Michelin star restaurants but never paid that much. Suffice to say I don't recommend this place to colleagues or friends.

Yelp
Nice trendy ambiance but all the dishes (all 4 we ordered) were overly greasy and very saucy, like a piece of music where every second is a crescendo with no mix of ups and downs. I looked through the photos on Yelp and yup they're also mostly heavily sauced. I had to drink a gallon of water a couple of hours later. At a minimum menu should be re-done to balance out a bit with some milder / refreshing dishes. Waiter also could have made a comment to warn us when we were ordering.

Yelp
This business used to be Hidden Leaf but now it's midnight by navarro's. I was in the area after an exhausting day of trying to get my life in order at the nearby DMV. I came here for dinner on a whim because I just needed some sort of win to a day full of Ls. I was seated immediately in a fantastic corner table with great lighting from the sunset. I got myself a mocktail and 3 course meal. Everything was beautiful and tasted great! Service was very attentive as well. I really needed to feel pampered that evening like I was really ready to cry my eyes out after the whole ordeal I dealt with earlier at the DMV, and treating myself to a meal here definitely made me feel better. Just felt so taken care of ya know? Also, the bathrooms of this restaurant were super interesting, it's a unisex bathroom where both men and women can use the stalls and have the same handwashing sinks. I've never used a bathroom like this but it did look like a newly remodeled bathroom, so fancy!

Cecilia L.

Yelp
Food is pretty decent here but it's definitely on the pricier end for small portion sizes Ambiance is intimate and def better for smaller groups I would not recommend doing a prefixed menu for a few reasons (1) it's not worth (2) it's family style serving for 1-2 (~1.5) ppl serving Bbq Ribs starter 5/5 Bahn bao 4.5/5 Pork fried rice 3.5/5 Rib eye 3.5/5 Eggplant & corn 4.5/5

Frank A.

Yelp
The chef at Hidden Leaf changed since my last visit so I was hoping for an upgrade, sadly that is not the case. The food seems to have two speeds, very spicy or bland. The crispy mushroom side is very pretty but the deep frying leaves the mushrooms bereft of taste. The Black Sea Bass has no taste and was clearly cooked separately from the rest of the dish. The ginger crème brûlée was excellent.

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Delicious veggie dumplings - shockingly amazing. Actually feels like you're getting big mouthfuls of fresh veggies. Those are five stars. The ambience is "corporate cool" and sponsored by Mastercard, so a popular work party place yet still actually sexy and swank. But after that, it was three stars for the rest of it. Like others said, the pork rice was just so-so, doesn't have that fried rice taste that's so amazing at Chinese restaurants. The ribs were pretty good but, again, didn't have that delectable Chinese restaurant ribs taste. Wouldn't come back but glad to try it.

Yelp
This Pan-Asian spot is tucked away in Hudson Yards with nice views overlooking the plaza by 1 Manhattan West. Sit by one of the corner seats against their glass windows for the best date night spot! They have a huge variety of dishes, including Yu Sheng, a traditional Singaporean/ Malaysian dish that is eaten during the New Year. This was my first time seeing this dish in the States and the flavor was surprisingly similar and very nostalgic. Their other dishes such as Cumin Lamb Dumpling and Duck Noodles were also packed with flavor and reminiscent of when I lived in Asia. Fan fave was definitely the cumin lamb dumplings which had strong flavor, the perfect thickness of skin and lots of meat. Less loved was the chocolate cake dessert which was a bit dry. Service was great all around, with constant check-ins and great descriptions of various foods. Food came quickly and it never felt like we were waiting around for anything. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem!

Yelp
Updating my review because I have visited Hidden Leaf several times by now. Hidden Leaf is truly an exceptional culinary experience that is not to be missed. From the moment you step into the restaurant, you are transported to a cozy, inviting environment that is perfect for an intimate evening with friends, family or that special someone. The menu at Hidden Leaf is a masterpiece of fusion cuisine, expertly combining traditional Japanese flavors with modern twists that will delight your taste buds. Each dish is beautifully presented, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. The menu there keeps changing for better each time. This time we tried variety of dishes recommended by our server and it was so good! Everything exceeded our expectations! The selection of cocktails is also special. In addition, the bartenders at Hidden Leaf are skilled mixologists who use only the freshest ingredients to create unique and innovative cocktails. I have tried there the tablet negroni (top notch) and bottled champagne service (!!). The staff at Hidden Leaf is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer recommendations. They are attentive without being intrusive and provide excellent service that enhances the overall dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth noting, with soft lighting, warm decor, and a soothing atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Overall, Hidden Leaf is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who appreciates exquisite cuisine, outstanding service, and an inviting ambiance. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a night out with friends, this restaurant is sure to impress. I highly recommend Hidden Leaf and look forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Came for a comedy show at the Midnight theater. I didn't expect to enjoy some delicious snacks. Great venue for an interactive show. Service was quick. We ordered tofu fries and edamame guacamole. I expected the tofu fries to be cut thinner but they were big pieces like cut up French toast. It was nice and crispy with good garnishes and drizzled sauce on top. The edamame guacamole was fantastic! It came with taro and lotus root chips. Very interesting mix of things. There was some chili oil on top of the guac. I didn't taste too much edamame, maybe it was mashed in very well with the avocado. The tangy acidicity went really with the taro and lotus root which are some of my fave roots! The menu had a interesting mix of Asian fusion food. Saw a lot of vietnamese named dishes. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Yelp
Great spot in a great location! Good food and service! A few minutes from Penn Station! Well worth stop!!!

Yelp
My partner did a prix fix menu for 8 people for his birthday. Inside is beautiful. We got there first and sat at the bar. Service was nice. The iced ca phe was rich and strong. I also got the Numbing Warmth which had a delicious passion fruit foam. I enjoyed the strength and flavors of the cocktails. The food was good but I still felt hungry from the portions. The bbq ribs and rice cake were my favorites. There's a $12 cake cutting fee if you bring one. It came out to about $125 pp.

Tansy W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. The food is expensive but not bad. We enjoyed the little gem smashed cucumber salad and the dumplings. The broken golden chicken isn't bad either though inconsistent - some pieces were very juicy and tender while others were hard, dry, and overcooked.

Rachel Z.

Yelp
Went here for a friend's birthday. The food is spectacular, great interior design too. Would come here again. Service was pretty good but maybe it's because we were a large group.

Yelp
What an experience? The location is one block from Madison Square Garden. However finding the restaurant will be an achievement in itself. When you do, you won't be disappointed nor will you want to leave. The design is chic modern with a positive feng shui energy. High ceilings, tall windows with metal, wood and plants for decor. My kind of place. The entire staff provided service with a smile. The meal was exquisite. Since I came for the Lunar New Year brunch, I will be returning to try more items off their full menu. We received coupons for free drinks and future discounts. I had an aromatic n.a.ughty toddy to warm up with. My friend tried the Free sundowner. Both were tasty with the minimum of alcohol. You must try the jade vegetable dumplings as an appetizer. Filled with fresh mushrooms, carrots, corn and so much much. My seared rice cakes with crispy tofu is to die for and is highly recommended. The Crab omelette is deceiving because of the honey pork fried rice inside had us wondering,"is there crab in this". Nevertheless it was too good to stop eating to ask questions. Great location, location and location. Scrumptious food and drinks. Excellent service with a smile. Yeah, I will be returning.

Yelp
Came here on a really cold winter night for dinner with my friends. We actually tried out the Midnight Theatre first for a comedy show then decided to check out the restaurant week dinner here. The restaurant has only been open for 8 months and it was pretty busy. The dining area has great views of the ice skating rink below, if you are lucky enough to get the booth seats. The decor is very nice and trendy, awesome ambience. We opted for the restaurant week menu which was an amazing deal. $45 for 3 courses! The servings were decent enough I walked home at the end of the night as I was so full. The earl grey chicken was nice and flavourful, likewise with all their other dishes. The noodles were on the spicier side so if you aren't a fan of spice perhaps ask for non spicy. I thoroughly enjoyed everything though. Their staff member Luke was very helpful and polite. Made us felt welcomed at the restaurant. A+ for service too! Try out this restaurant before the restaurant week ends!

Susan G.

Yelp
Very cool space! You have to go up a flight of stairs and there aren't many signs so the location feels very hidden. I really liked the indoors. You're on the second floor and have a great view. There are also plants decorating the interior. The food was pretty good! We got the Crystal Shrimp Dumpling to start. For mains, we got the Lobster Chow Fun and Rice Cakes "banh Beo". I would recommend the dumplings and lobster! The rice cake was a little too salty. The service was exceptional. We asked if we could get a window seat and the server graciously accommodated. I'd recommend this place for a cool date or a group event.

Eterna T.

Yelp
Ambience: 10/10 very classy. Gorgeous decor; I would hire the interior designer in a heartbeat. They also have an in-house DJ so it has a very nightlife vibe to it. I would not bring kids. Food: middling, hit or miss with more misses Sea bass: I expect the fish to be soft flaky steamy and delectable! Instead it was no good - the fish flakes were a bit dry in the mouth and not fluffy or melt-in-mouth at all. I did not like the curry that the fish sat in. Also -- Expensive!! Worst dish of them all. Tom yum fried rice: it's vegetarian with tofu but tofu (or something else) was a bit bitter. I don't think the flavors mesh well together and I did not enjoy this dish either. I was expecting something bursting with sour and sweet inside glistening chewy rice but it was not like that at all. It was just a strange taste. Although it's unique, I wish they just fully committed to Thai flavors on this one. Pork fried rice: much better than the Tom yum fried rice but I have had too many better fried rice dishes elsewhere, whether at Thai restaurants or at Chinese restaurants, to say this was anything special. It was fine and definitely one of the better dishes, but I would not order this again. Potstickers: fine, but not that memorable maybe because I eat so many dumplings all the time Broken golden chicken: I think this one was fried well (the batter and crispiness) and the chili sauce was awesome! I could go for this again. Dim sum for two: because there was such a variety here, I enjoyed sampling the different items! I loved the spicy green dipping sauce. Nothing was stand out to me, but every item was made with care. For example, I tried the egg roll and even though I don't like egg rolls and I still wouldn't order their egg rolls a La Carte, I could tell it was a well made egg roll because of the nice filling to crust ratio, and it was fried nicely and had an interesting wood ear in it. Same with the Crystal shrimp dumpling and other dumpling I had. They were interesting and tasty but in the end I would never crave any of the things I tried. I think if you chose this dish, you can't go wrong as it's a safe bet! Overall this platter would be great for sharing as appetizers with a small party. Service was great, no complaints there.

JiHae L.

Yelp
Hidden leaf, or should it be called a hidden gem? I can't complain about this place - from the atmosphere to the food, decor and service. I didn't have any cocktails as I'm not drinking atm. I never knew this section of hudson yards until I found out about this restaurant. In front, there's an ice skating rink. The place looks like a movie theater, so that's confusing as well. You have to go upstairs and you'll see the restaurant along with the midnight theater. The restaurants decor was really nice. From the lighting, the art. and the booths. The service was great, too. The food had a great twist to it was a new take on Asian food. Common ingredients, but they used a new flavor in their starter dishes such as the crispy tofu fries and BBQ spare ribs. Even the dessert was specialized with the mix of all different flavors in their ice cream and passion fruit cheesecake.

Gerry P.

Yelp
One of New York City's best food experiences. Hidden (Leaf) upstairs in Manhattan Plaza, this gem of fine dining, minus table cloth, has one of the most wonderful menus, prepared with design and precision. I recommend the Sea Bass and Shrimp/Pork Shoulder fried rice. The combination of ingredients gives a lasting taste to return soon. Good job Hidden Leaf!

Marcelle M.

Yelp
Service, ambience were good, seated on the 2nd floor in Manhattan plaza, not too many restaurants in the city that aren't on ground floor, very modern and green setup. Inventive menu with unique dishes and flavors. Appetizers were delicious like the pork dumplings, and vegetable spring rolls, the tofu was alright, a little challenging to eat with the chopsticks. We ordered the duck as our main and it was bit disappointing we asked for it cooked medium, it came medium rare, and the flavors seemed off. For dessert we got the ricotta cake and we were pretty disappointed, the cake wasn't that soft and the ice cream flavor didn't seem to flow with the cake.

Heena J.

Yelp
Starting off with the vibes - vibes were amazing, art deco decor and it reminded us of the great gatsby theme. The menu has a lot of vegetarian which was amazing to see. We ordered the little gem & cucumber salad, jade vegetable dumpling, vegetable Tom yum soup, and black pepper & salt jade tofu. There wasn't one thing we didn't like. If I can go back I would ask for the tofu and rice without the cilantro but it wasn't too overpowering. I was really impressed but the tofu it was crispy on the outside and the inner texture wasn't your typical extra firm tofu. We also ordered two cocktails and a beer (I forgot the names tbh). They were great drinks but really small quantity / wasn't strong. Lastly, we got the passion fruit cheesecake which was amazing but not your typical cheesecake. The layers were a little hard to break and difficult to eat but when you did get a bite it was refreshing. Overall each dish had so many dimensions. The service was phenomenal - our waiter was so patient as we decided what to get and made conversation. The staff were so speedy at cleaning up and replacing utensils. I would def come back.

Weijie L.

Yelp
Great Asian fusion spot for birthdays or any fun group dinners! The food is all pretty sauce, so definitely enjoy with wine or some cocktails. Shown: roasted rice cakes with woodear mushrooms, Thai duck noodles, broken golden chicken, crystal shrimp dumplings (like har gow), and pork potstickers!

Uyen N.

Yelp
Pretty normal food overall, but quite expensive. The duck is a little overcooked but the sauce is good. The mushroom egg roll is delicious. Bánh bèo is quite disappointing because there is no fish sauce to dip in, which is a huge part of the traditional dish. All the food is a little spicy. Drinks here are pretty good.

Siddharth S.

Yelp
The staff was amazing. The food was not so great. For the price, the drinks were very average. The dim sums were fine nothing extraordinary. Ordered the fried chicken Malay style and there was nothing Malay about it. Just served with some extremely mild mayonnaise that too very small quantity. The satay was decent we ordered the platter, but again nothing out of the ordinary.

Amy D.

Yelp
We had such an excellent meal here. We booked day of for a party of 8, and weren't sure whether to be concerned or excited to get such a last minute reservation! The dining room is absolutely stunning. Intimidate, not squished, beautiful view from the second floor. Our server was kind and helpful in getting us situated with what we wanted to order as we wanted to do family style. The food was fantastic! Some of our favorites were the pork potstickers, cumin lamb dumplings, and golden chicken. They also had an extensive menu of specials, about 8-10, in addition to the menu advertised online. Overall, we took a chance on this place and were impressed!

Sucheta B.

Yelp
Let me start by saying we were blown away by everything we ate here. Absolutely phenomenal. We were a group of 5 so got to try a bunch of things (the way to do it). Here's what we ordered (not the exact names but can be easily correlated to the menu items) - lamb dumplings - mushrooms - tuna - shrimp pork toast - gem avocado salad - pork fried rice - steamed sea bass - ribeye Everything we ate was delicious and we would recommend ALL of the dishes. Standouts for us were the coconut curry the sea bass came with, the lamb dumplings (very unique), the mushrooms and the salad (be warned tho the dressing is a bit spicy!) To top it all off the cocktails here were also unique and well made. Our group favorite was the thimble sipper - their play on an old fashion. Not a lot of people know about this place so it's pretty empty so go before everyone finds out!!

Walker P.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough! The food has a plethora of flavors, the staff was kind and fun to talk to, and the atmosphere was very fine. I had the Wagyu burger and it was literally melt in your mouth! The burrata was also a great choice.

Frances U.

Yelp
I had a dinner date here while visiting NY. We arrived through penn/Moynihan train hall and walked here. It's a hit of a struggle to find, I guess that part is in the name: Hidden Leaf. It's located IN the plaza and you have to climb quite a few stairs. However, the staff was warm, server checked in regularly as did someone who might be the manager? Not sure. The ambience is warm and cozy, it can be good for a casual date with sneakers but also for a dress up date. Idk how but it just works. We enjoyed everything we ate. The spare ribs were yummy, the fish was yummy, the rice and curry were yummy. I asked for halibut in place of the fish that came with my dish and they were very accommodating. The drinks weren't great but they also weren't terrible. In their defence, I didn't order one of their cocktails, I just got a regular ass bar drink. I did ask them to add more alcohol which they happily did, so that's a plus. All in all, I'd come again and I'd definitely recommend.

Chris H.

Yelp
We've been here twice and have had a great time on both occasions. The cocktail menu is creative, including two milk punches (one is on the dessert menu) and a clear riff on a Negroni. Non-alcoholic cocktails are also an option. The food menu is a modern take on Burmese food (though, being long-time acolytes of Burma Love from San Francisco, we were a little sad not to see a tea leaf salad on the menu). There's a good range of options for many dietary preferences, and the food is made for sharing so the bigger your group, the better (though it also works fine as a date spot).

Sarah G.

Yelp
This is my second year in a row coming to Hidden Leaf. It's a class act! Delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

Anthony P.

Yelp
Quite impressed and was happy with all the recommendations made by our awesome waiter Jake! Drinks Leaf Royale, Dead Ringer and Wanted Cactus Killer Our favorite was the dead ringer! Kind of tasted like sour candy but still boozy. I like drinks that hide alcohol well. Had some fizz in there too. Leaf royale was refreshing! CUCUMBER SALAD Surprisingly a good choice esp to add some freshness to your meal. Crisp lettuce with fresh and tender avocado with fresh, crunchy and refreshing cucumber pieces (skin off) covered in a bang bang sauce for some heat and black and white sesame seeds for bits of crunch throughout. Refreshing and great texture wise PORK SHRIMP TOAST *** One of our waiters great recommendations any-like sauce underlying these things. "Toast" as it is in Chinese cooking is not so much bread as it is minced meat with dough to give it texture and when it's fried becomes a nugget of sorts. Nice bit of textured greens on top to make it dynamic CRISPY TOFU **** This was offered to us by our waiter Jake (great job Jake!) who admitted to us that even he doesn't like tofu but LOVES this dish. We enjoy tofu, so we definitely got it and it was so good! The crisp, airy exterior provides a satisfying crunch as you bite into this tender circle of tofu that has quite a bit of texture and chew to it, firmer than what you expect when you hear tofu. It is really well flavored exteriorly and interiorly so it doesn't even really taste like tofu cause there's other stuff going on. A great option!! CHICKEN Crispy exterior coats MEATY chunks of white meat chicken that were tender (could have been a TOUCH juicier) and weren't as spicy as they look, but flavorful, salty. Enjoyed this! SEA BASS Flavorful and textured rice (some crispy components) underlay a chunk of fresh and flavorful sea bass. Enjoyed this a lot though I have had more tender fish

Rusty R.

Yelp
Went here prior to a show at the Midnight Theater. Service was polite. Restaurant is quite hard to find (at least at night). A sign on the 2nd floor is somewhat visible, but where is the door to get up there? Turns out it's at the theater entrance, and the only sign is the name pained on the door in black. At night, it's barely legible. Hidden Leaf = Hidden Door. While food was decent, it was wildly overpriced. Four potstickers for nearly $20? Potstickers should be a dollar or two each. Ordered the broken chicken. Asked server how big that was and was told it was about a quarter of a chicken. When it arrived, it was actually a bunch of battered and fried chicken strips. Nothing in the menu said it was fried, and I wouldn't call chicken strips a 1/4 chicken. We expressed our confusion to the server, and she agreed that the menu wasn't clear about the item being fried. All-in-all, the price was about triple what it should have been. If I had walked out of the restaurant paying $20 I would have been satisfied. And, had the restaurant not been located in Hudson Yards, that is exactly what it would have cost.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
It was a bit hard finding this location, but I guess it's hidden for a reason! This looks like a nice place to take a first date since it's kind of dark but romantic.... I came with a party of 3 (so 4 total), and we ordered: 2 Pork Potstickers, Green Herb Chicken skewers, Crispy Tofu Fries, Veggie Fried Rice, and Cucumber Salad. Everything was pretty good, but it was definitely too much food split amongst us. I would say to skip the tofu fries and fried rice. The fried rice didn't really have any flavor, and it was pretty sour. Pork potstickers taste like pretty standard pork and chive dumplings, but the presentation was pretty! I don't know where my photos went.... I also got an espresso martini, which was alright. It came with a little star anise on top, but the flavor was a little too bitter for me. Total came out to $75 per person which is a bit pricey, but we did order excess food.

Alice W.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week. Really creative menu - 3 course meal with Asian inspired dishes. The dim sum platter was really colorful, filled with lots of fresh veggies. The main entree had a really good balance of meat and veggies. The mushroom felt almost like a meat texture, very chewy - but a bit hard to cut so definitely eat that in one bite! The dessert was very interesting, that early grey panna cotta was incredible. It had this mango sauce on the side that was so yummy! The food was really good quality here but the one comment for improvement was the service timing. It took probably 20-30 minutes for the dessert to come out. Recommend checking out this restaurant! They do lunch and dinner services.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
What a great spot! The food was very flavorful and unique. The chef seemed to have taken traditional Asian dishes and added a nice flair. The portions were good and everything was tasty. We had Crunchy Pork Potstickers, Honey Berkshire Pork Fried Rice, Rice Cake, bbq ribs. Every dish was great. It's a great location and I also have to mention the staff was kind and very accommodating.

Meghan L.

Yelp
Fantastic spot for a corporate event or work dinner and every single thing we ate was so good-- yunnan bbq ribs, veggie dumplings, pork fried rice, needle noodle. Would come back for the rest of the menu. It's a cute spot kind of tucked away by a theater near the Hudson Yards area, and that block doesn't feel like a part of Manhattan if you're looking for a getaway!

Tsvika K.

Yelp
Literally hidden ..... but a gem! First , they need to emphasize where they are cause it's hard to be found (second floor on top of ZouZou) But eventually it was worth the search . Excellent food , really nice combinations of ingredients all over the menu , either the dumplings or the entrees and you want to get the fried tofu ,dip it in spicy sauce and it's delicious! Highly recommended! Definitely A Destination!!!!

Chand R.

Yelp
Food was good!! We ordered the following: Tofu fries Sweet and Sour Soup Burmese fried rice Jade dumplings The dumplings were my favorite and the soup as well! Flavorful and good mix of textures!

Cathy Y.

Yelp
Odd! I didn't love this place at all. - They were super super super slow. And the pacing of the meal and the dishes came out very awkwardly. - The food was not good. I didn't find any of the food to be very good. The sauces mixed together was very uncomfortable. I dont think I can even name one dish I enjoyed (sadly) I won't be back! But I am confused bc everybody below had such an amazing experience that I am wondering if I just had an off experience?

Yelp
First time visiting Hidden Leaf. Loved the food - can't go wrong! Was surprised to see very few people eating there around 7pm on a Friday, the restaurant was fairly empty! imho, the appetizers & dessert stole the show. 1) loved the tofu fries & roasted smallhold mushrooms. 2) Dim sum was great, but not my favorite item. 3) The Tom yum fried rice was delicious! 4) Wok roasted rice cakes were delicious, but definitely try to finish it at the restaurant as it doesn't taste as good when reheated. 5) Needle Noodle was yum as well :) 6) we also enjoyed the "communal serve" Silver Screen Passion to drink - was a fun drink to share between 4-6 people! 7) Tried the thim Thimble Sipper as well (similar to a mango old fashion) which had a unique hint of mango (and wasn't too sweet). 8) the dessert was the BEST part. Make sure you save room for a matcha tiramisu & mango cheesecake

Yelp
Came here a couple of days ago and had the HONEY BERKSHIRE PORK FRIED RICE (this desperately needed more flavor you can barely tell this was pork fried rice). The vegetable Tom yum tofu rice was seasoned better but still lacked flavor sadly. Cocktail we got had a huge block of ice in it and wasn't even half full. The drink itself wasn't good at all. We tried a wine and saw some crystallization at the bottom of our drink and they told us it was because the wine was organic?? Idk still confused about that one! The crunchy pork potstickers were good but the best thing we had were the crystal shrimp and snow pea dumplings. Our waiter was nice as well but this wasn't as good as it was being advertised on social media. We won't be coming back to this spot again.

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant located in the ideal location within Hudson Yards area. Did not know what to expect coming here but it was better than expected! When you first walk in, you feel like walking into this old theatre. Once you reach the restaurant, it looks super trendy. The dishes ordered were overall delicious. 1. Halibut- my favorite 2. Dumplings-pretty with the gold specks 3. Rice cakes-flavorful 4. Sea bass-good curry flavor Worth checking out for Asian fusion!

Yelp
Great ambiance and service!! As the name suggests, the entrance is actually quite hidden if you're unfamiliar with the area Food was great, most dishes seems to be cumin heavy.

Yelp
It took us a while to find this place! We were a table of four and we were not that hungry so we ordered Fried tofu, sea bass with curry, rice cake, two drinks (one non alcoholic and one alcoholic). I wish they had more mocktail drink options. I liked the rice cake best and then the fried rice and then the fish. I didn't like the flavor of the fish that much...as I am picky with my curries. The tofu crisp was also just okay. The food wasn't particularly cheap but the venue was nice and high end. The all gender restroom is downstairs or I think there's one on the same floor, but not sure if it's reserved for employees only. The bar area is also really nice for drinks, sitting around, chatting. Beautiful place if you don't mind spending a bit of money.

Yelp
Upscale atmosphere and food- plenty of options clearly labeled for vegan and gluten free. Food came quick and in rounds. Slightly pricey- definitely a more fine dining night. I had the mock duck fried rice which came with a gooey vegan egg yolk. Friends highly recommended the tofu fries and have said there wasn't anything they didn't like each time they came. Good for groups with a tasting menu and easily split dishes. Heard from friends the drinks have been inconsistent.

Yelp
Perfect for a nice night out! Hidden Leaf has a cool, modern interior with really flavorful and elevated South East Asian food. Here's what we got: Cocktails - I got the spicy marg cocktail with pineapple (forgot the name!). It was really good and refreshing while still having the perfect spice kick at the end. My friend got the fizzy cocktail with grapefruit and cardamom and really enjoyed it! If you're like me and don't like cardamom, definitely wouldn't recommend since it is one of the main flavors. All the cocktails look really good though so I'm sure you'll find something you like :) Black Pepper and Salt Jade Tofu - this was really good and flavorful! The tofu has a crisp exterior and soft interior, topped with sautéed scallions and Sichuan chili crisp! Well balanced and flavorful, would recommend. Tom Yum Fried Rice - this was the star!! This fried rice is just so so so good! It really nails the Tom yum flavor without being overly powerful. The rice is also cooked to perfection! 10/10 would recommend! Stuff Pork Skewers - my friend really enjoyed these! She said the south Asian flavors really came to life in these and that it was balanced with the perfect level of spice. Overall, this new restaurant in Hudson Yards is definitely worth a try! Good food, drinks, and vibes :)

Yelp
Great tasting food. A nice setting for a friends gathering. Two bars-one upstairs and one downstairs. We ordered all the appetizers and made an Asian-Tapas experience. They brought out the individual plates spaced apart to allow for a full culinary experience. Hidden Leaf is a Hidden Gem

Yelp
Such a great new restaurant in Manhattan west! I came with friends to celebrate a birthday and the service was amazing! Everyone who works here is so nice and accommodating! They even gave my friend a free green tea ice cream for her birthday! :) For the food we had the rice cakes, shrimp dumplings, and salt and pepper tofu! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings. They tasted super fresh and the dipping sauce on the side was amazing! Plus they were so beautiful! The rice cakes were great as well and the actual rice cake was nice and chewy. The tofu was good too but it did get soft as it sat out which was a little sad. We had a few cocktails here as well and all of them were great! I personally loved the sundowner! :)

Yelp
Love that all these new spots are opening up in Manhattan West! Came to Hidden Leaf for dinner with a friend the other night - the staircase climb to get to the space is well worth it! Chic décor and much more spacious than I was expecting, too. We started off with the following, to share: Crispy Tofu Fries: These were quite different than what I was expecting, but very good! And in fact, not overly crispy - but in a good way. Think firm, flavorful tofu strips! Crystal Shrimp & Snow Pea Dumpling: These were very pretty - the gold flecks were a nice visual touch! A solid dumpling with a generous amount of shrimp inside each! Vegetable & Mushroom Spring Roll: Possibly my favorite dim sum dish of the night! Super tasty and savory, and left me wanting more! Needle Noodle "Lort Cha": I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this was a fun dish! Very unique with the mix of crispy and chewy noodles. The noodles themselves too were a unique shape - kind of short and stubby, ha, but made it fun to eat! A bit spicy but I was a fan! Vegan Matcha ice cream: I sometimes find vegan ice cream too rich, but this was the perfect texture! Very light and mostly tasted like passion fruit (with a hint of matcha), and a great way to end the meal!
