"Mighty Squirrel started in Waltham, but recently expanded into a glitzy second location in Fenway. The two-story space has ample seating and a full kitchen serving pizzas, tacos, and mulitas—go for the pizzas freshly fired up in the brick oven, and the cheesy mulitas made with corn tortillas. The real reason you're here though is for the beer. We love its signature beer Cloud Candy, a crushable New England-style IPA with tropical fruit notes of papaya and mango. Other standouts include the Mango Lassi, a sour IPA that we (and all of our beer-drinking friends) can’t get enough of." - valerie li stack

"Located adjacent to a park, Mighty Squirrel is a good destination for a family outing. The huge beer garden seats over 300 — and more tables are being added soon, plus there’s patio space — and there’s plenty of food available, including rotating food trucks and an in-house menu of hot dogs, grilled cheese, meat pies, and more. Customers are also welcome to bring outside food. Dogs are allowed on the patio space but not in the beer garden (more dog policy details here). No reservations — all seating is first come, first served. Restrooms have changing tables. Mighty Squirrel is currently open for indoor and outdoor seating, as well as beer (and canned coffee) to go." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

After having a pint of Cloud Candy at the Summer Shack I had to pay them a visit and see what else they had to offer. I was very disappointed that they don't offer flights, it's the only brewery I've ever been to that doesn't and I've been to many. It is very spacious in there but the atmosphere and decor was bland. I had the Magic Rain IPA which was very good and also the Fluff The Magic Dragon IPA that was great at first but had a spiciness at the end that did not match the description. I left after those two 7 once beers because I couldn't stay long and didn't want to have 7 onces of all the ones I wanted to try. But the Cloud Candy and Double Cloud Candy are phenomenal.

Went for drinks on a Sunday evening. It was not too crowded and they have a very nice patio. They offer a small taste before you can choose your beer, which is very helpful. Got three of them and they were all different and amazing. The spicy Paloma was like something I never had before. Food is mostly prepackaged but they have a foot truck right outside the patio for anyone still hungry.

Google
While the food on site isn't the kind you'd get at a sit down restaurant by any means, they chose traditional choices to be well paired with a good beer, and have had food trucks outside the business on most occasions I've visited that looks absolutely delicious! The beer is outstanding, and if you arrive before 4 PM, you can order a very satisfying coffee from your choice of over a dozen styles!

Jacqueline Mahoney

Google
Great stop if you are in the area. Everyone is very friendly, beer is great, there's food trucks or some food options on site. They also serve coffee which is actually really good! I'm so glad we made the trip before hopping on a plane!

Jean Nairon

Google
Amazing place for a pint. Their patio is sunny, the beer is tasty, and the service was impeccable. Great place to bring a friend or meet some of the locals.

Kelly Laursen

Google
Daily tap rotates. Always a wide selection of brew styles. They even have smoothie styles for those that don't like traditional beers. Two great patios, rotating food trucks every day or grab a dog or pretzel from the taproom. Great coffee and croissants from Quebrada before 4 at the cafe counter where you grab your to-go 4 packs of beer. They always have a sour beer available.

Google
The beer is good and the outdoor seating is nice. I like the rotational food trucks and the variety that brings. I really don’t go here that often though as the place is usually filled with kids running and screaming throughout the place. There is no enforcement of these children and the parents don’t seem to care to control them. I get wanting a place to bring your whole family but the situation there is kind of ridiculous. This is not a playground, it’s a bar. I hope the management puts some expectations around control of your children.

Google
Great place to hang out and have a couple of beers. There are two outside patios both of which are dog friendly. There are comfortable seats outside. The staff are very nice and the beer is excellent. Come for the cloud candy (their beer that's available at other local establishments) and enjoy some other styles too! There are usually food trucks too.

Yelp
Mighty Squirrel in Waltham is one of my favorite breweries in the Boston area! The indoor area is huge and outdoor space is great for dogs! So many options for beers on tap from IPAs to Sours to Stouts. My favorite is the seasonal Costume Contest Milk Stout and my boyfriend loves the classic Cloud Candy IPA. They also have a ton of board games, a coffee bar, and rotating food trucks (on Sunday there was a Grilled Cheese truck). Staff is so friendly and quick!

Yelp
Excellent brewery with roughly 20 options at all times. Mighty Squirrel loses a star for weak food options, 1 food truck per night (with 5-10 selections on a typical menu) is not enough choice, frankly. However, Mighty Squirrel recognizes this dilemma - and partially redeems itself by allowing patrons to bring their own food. As for the real attraction - the beer - the Taproom is a large and accommodating space which boasts plenty of seating options, and 2 outdoor terraces to imbibe when the weather permits. There are typically 6-7 IPAs flowing including its iconic and "juicy" Cloud Candy (6.5% ABV). loves its "Gourdgeous" Pumpkin (6.1% ABV) selection - throwing off subtle notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and candied yams. Usually a bunch of stouts - one stout is a 7.2% chocolate raspberry torte, another is more classic 4.2% jet black but with a creamy, medium body. A golden ale, a German Pilsner, an Italian Pilsner, an American Lager, and 5 sours, round out the menu. I personally don't like sours, which have appeared recently en masse, so I have much of opinion, except to say that Mighty Squirrel has a more than ample selection of late, appealing to a growing interest in this category. I miss their Mike Czeck Pilsner, a light dry thirst-quencher that typically makes a summertime appearance. varietal are always on tap, plus enjoy plenty of enticing IPAs, and

Yelp
a 3.5 to a sometimes 4. First, beer is yummy, But, the events ie, Halloween 2024 was done poorly --- few customers were in costume, staff not in costumes, and, hardly any Halloween props to support the occasion. ! The anniversary festivities ie, the raffle On 12/7 , none of the bartenders paid attention to it And added it was "poorly organized". We had many tickets, ours and other consumers who left us theirs because they waited and waited for the calling up ticket numbers; I hope the management gets better at following thru with what/how they advertise events. Yelp
We had a nice visit to Mighty Squirrel. Had some lager and IPA. And pizza, which was quite good. Reminded me of Bertucci's pizza. They had an acoustic guitar player who was quite talented. Soumd wasn't too loud so we were able to converse. Lots of parking outside, plenty of seating inside.

Yelp
Really fun area out in Waltham for hanging and chillin with some good brews. The atmosphere is industrial chic meets strip mall. They have a really nice patio with heaters and fire pits to enable more use year around. The inside has some game tables (e.g., table tennis) and rocking chairs with board games. Service here is nice. I appreciate the different ordering options. Knowledgable but chill drink-tenders. Drink options: TONS of drinks on tap and around. They keep a fairly updated list of what's available. Food often includes a food truck outside by the patio even when it's cold. Definitely a fun place to hang with friends or meet with folks after work.

Jodi M.

Yelp
If you're looking for a chill place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon, only come here if you have children that need to let off steam. As an adult with no small children, this was not the place for me. Children everywhere, coloring on the floor, running around, taking up all the table space. The one positive of it all was that there's no long beer lines. We actually were the only ones ordering beer. Normally we would each have 2 beers each. Today my husband had one and I had a 1/2 pour. It was in the 30s outside but it was such a nicer vibe out on the patio than with the romper room going on inside. The beer is good. I'll definitely try Fenway when we're in that area. But, Waltham? Nah. I hope they're making money on something there because the beer is good. They need to get rid of the Chuck E. Cheese environment though if they want to sell more of it.

Tracey H.

Yelp
The service it top notch. Everyone can give you the scoop on all their beers. The interior is really cool and inviting, a great ambiance!

Jillian B.

Yelp
Awesome brewery - while visiting from out of town, my friend recommended Mighty Squirrel because of my love for sours. We went on a chilly day and it was packed! That said, the outside area had heaters on, so we found a spot outside and weren't bothered by the chilly weather at all. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from, so I opted for a few small pours in order to have a variety (they also allowed me to try a taste of a few that I was deciding between!). All the options were great, but I would say my favorite was the Sour Face Blackberry.

Hanna G.

Yelp
Sad to demote to 3 stars, but it must be updated... until they can do better or respond. As a proud local of the establishment I've been singing their praises for years. So let's start with the positives before acknowledging the misses. PROS - Their beers are fun and love the rotating seasonal flavors! - Staff are nice. I accidentally knocked over a small pour glass while sitting at the bar due to the glassware's top heavy shape. The bartender cleaned up the spill and topped off my glass. - This is a go to place to meet up with friends and I enjoy the window peering into Central Rock's Bouldering gym next door. - They have board games on the side available for you to play in varying levels of completeness. (i.e. Guess Who is missing a lot of people.) - Lovely outdoor patio space for warmer months. - Rotating events during the week and they seem to be active partnership with Waltham at events (i.e. Waverley Oaks gym next door) Tues - Bonsai Bar every so often that seems to sell out quickly Wed - Running Club & Trivia Thurs - Live Music - Rotating food trucks every day of the week which is exciting! CONS ordered by level of level of contempt they've induced. - Beers To Go / Online GoTab ordering is BROKEN. I wasted a lot of time placing the order thinking it would be ready. Then I went in to try and pick it up the next day only to see my card was charged but no email was generated. Of course this could be a glitch in their system. Management basically told me, "Sorry too bad and call your CC company to sort that out. You can order it again here and we will get it for you." So I had the displeasure of disputing this $101 charge on top of REBUYING this in person and running late for another meeting. I will NEVER use their online ordering until they fix. - Live music nights make it so uncomfortable and loud to talk to people. - Weekly Trivia is the worst I have ever experienced. I can't believe people come here in droves for lazy trivia where we barely found a seat 20 min before trivia began officially. Not necessarily the digital version is bad but it's so dang slow where you count down to even answer the question. It's ~1 hr and basically you crawl through 10-15 random questions with no theme. - No beer flight option is a travesty given the $7 charge for small pour. - Website is NOT always accurate for events/food, but that is probably the case with all businesses. https://www.mightysquirrel.com/foodtrucks https://www.mightysquirrel.com/eventcal I will still stop by here and try their seasonal flavors or meet up with people given this is the closest brewery. However, I'll also be warning folks away from the online orders and trivia while looking for competition to try.

Yelp
Loved my visit to the mighty squirrel! I went on a saturday night and the place was busy but still plenty of room to sit and it wasn't too loud. There's a view of the rock gym next door and they have a bunch of games which give you something to entertain you. There's a food truck outside and some light options at the place. The beer selection is solid, full of ipa's and sours. Will definitely be back!

Dorie C.

Yelp
We fell in love with this place! Beer was exceptional. Empanadas were very delicious. lots of great relaxing seating spots. We live in Vermont but we will be back!

Yelp
This was our first visit to Boston, MA since the summer of 2010. While we were walking around I found this popup brewery right in the market district area of Boston called the Mighty Squirrel Brewing. I'm a HUGE fan of anything Hazy. They have a New England IPA which was so amazing, This was my first New England IPA in a New England state. It was incredible, smelled terrific, had the right taste of the juices on the IPA. I was very happy with the outcome of this beer. They had a limited selection of beers which makes sense when it's a popup. The server was friendly and helpful about the beers. We drank it in the area that was for people drinking and eating. I can't wait to come back but stop at the main location. Cheers!!

Divyashree R.

Yelp
Great beer!! Chill ambience and lots of games for kids. Food truck right outside. A great family friendly place to stop for a great beer

Kylie H.

Yelp
This is one of our go-to weekend places. It's a neat place with a super friendly staff. Great beer, lots of free parking, and tons of indoor and outdoor seating. During the day, it's extremely kid friendly. I will say that if you want shared outdoor seating, the earlier you arrive, the better. They don't serve food, but they do bring in food trucks. We've never had a bad experience here!

Jason F.

Yelp
I stopped by here earlier today by myself for some drinks. I had actually found out about Mighty Squirrel Brewing only a couple of days prior as I happened to buy one of their beers in Trader Joe's. Whenever I saw that they were in the same town that I was staying in, I decided to give it a try. Mighty Squirrel is a massive place with all of their brewing equipment in plain sight whenever you walk in. Everything inside felt bright and clean and they had tons of different seating options including a bar, tables and more. Then the outside had a patio with string lights and plenty more seating. Whenever I go to a new brewery, I often get a flight of beer but at Mighty Squirrel they don't do flights and only do 7 oz pours instead. So on this day I decided to go with three 7 oz pours and chose the Cloud Candy IPA, Johnny Hammertime (Triple New England IPA) and then the Field to Pint (Pale Ale). For my first beer I tried the Cloud candy IPA which was strong and hoppy from start to finish with a lingering bitter flavor. Second was the Field of Dreams which had a crisp first taste which was followed by a pleasing finish with a flavor profile that I don't know how to explain. Last but certainly not least was the Johnny Hammertime which had a little bit of sweetness to me followed by some major hops and then a lingering bitterness confirming you had indeed just drank a triple New England IPA. Out of the bunch I think that the Cloud Candy IPA was my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. The beers were good and I loved both their space and the fact that they had a food truck outside.

Namratha R.

Yelp
Very nice, craft brewery. Ample parking which is always a plus. Huge beer menu, food trucks are a great touch. Large venue with many seating areas and choices, Great casual hangout place

Katie N.

Yelp
I discovered mighty squirrel while at another bar. As I love squirrels I knew that I had to make the trip out. This place was excellent. They have a great selection and able to get full and half pours. Their beer names are clever. I recommend the dear Kelly and strawberry sour. Staff were friendly. Food trucks were available outside on the day of my visit.

Dee S.

Yelp
Good selection of beers which are made on premises. About 15-20 varieties at all times ranging from IPAs to stouts to Pilsners to porters and more. Large outdoor patio. Trivia night on Wednesdays. The only negative is the food. But, you can bring your own food (like a pizza, etc) or buy from a different food truck that changes daily.

Gabby B.

Yelp
Super nice brewery with great beers! My bf and I decided to check out this nice brewery after trying one of their staple beers Cloud Candy. The brewery is super spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a nice selection of their craft beer along with small bites. It was a nice surprise to see a few food trucks parked right out front when we arrived. I went with their mango lassi and it was very refreshing and light. My bf got their signature Cloud Candy because he enjoyed it the first time he tried it. We had a great time enjoying our drinks and ambiance. We will definitely be back!

Eric H.

Yelp
Great place to relax after work. Easy menus great friendly staff, nice selection. Got a 4 pack to go. I recommend Uncle Bill's and the Midnight Toast. Great to try more drinks there than just Cloud Candy I usually get anywhere I find it.

Clara M.

Yelp
The Mighty Squirrel pub is a very pleasant spot in Waltham. I went for my friend's 24th birthday and had a great time. They have an expansive beer menu, ranging from strong, to sweet, perfect for anyone's personal taste. It's a large venue as well, so you could grab a big group, or a couple friends to go, and you would find a spot to sit. It's interestingly a popular spot for big parties and family's, so you will probably see kids if you're trying to go. They don't have much of a food menu, and they do run out of certain things pretty quickly (they were out of hot dogs the day I was there). They usually have some food trucks outside, but those can get pretty pricy for simple bar food. I did, however, get the empanadas, which were surprisingly crispy and flavorful. Not the best I've ever had, but serviceable and very well paired with their beer selections. The only disappointment was their trivia night. There were only a total of 14 questions, and the answers were revealed slowly for a system that was totally online. It was also hard to hear the presenters, which was a little frustrating. Would come here again for beer, not for trivia.

Adam L.

Yelp
The variety on offer is good ... but they don't offer flights at the brewery itself ?! Additional points off for $4 7 Oz sampler size pours , no meaningful food offerings inside other than reheated tapas. Yes they have whatever random food truck is outside , but that's hit or miss and even more overpriced. I'd honestly hoped for better from an otherwise nice looking place packed with people . At least the grounds are well kept and they've got a good sitting setup . Go if you want a drink and play some games with friends , but bring your own food. $8 a pint at the brewery isn't cheap by any means when you include tip and the fact that it's about $4-5 per can at any number of local places. Probably a bit crass , but I'm tempted to buy their beer in a can elsewhere and bring some food out of a local shop and enjoy the patio instead.

Alex G.

Yelp
I can summarize my experience in only 4 words "great concept; poor execution". As we approached Mighty Squirrel, we were quickly impressed with the open air seating area, nicely arranged with perfectly aligned rows of beautiful umbrella covered tables. Next to it, two food trucks were parked and ready to serve. Inside the brewery, customers can seat and enjoy a variety of craft beers in a cozy air conditioned space. We were seated at one of the outdoor tables where we quickly found the now popular QR code menus for online ordering... and that's when our problems began. The online ordering process was extremely complicated. We had to try several times before getting it right. Since there are 3 entirely different places to order from, our food and beers were all delivered separately and far apart (time wise). The outside guests (like us) couldn't order the smaller size beers because the brewery "doesn't carry the small size plastic cups for outdoor service" The food and food selection was not great, but I sort of expected that from a brewery. However, I felt the beer selection was not that great either. I had the Dear Patrick, one of several NE IPAs, which did pack a good flavor and I recommend it to anyone who's starting to venture into IPAs. The issue for me is that most, if not all, selections were IPAs, which I feel is just too limited for any brewery. I hope things improve because the concept and the potential are definitely there.

Phil M.

Yelp
Good beers, wide selection... I went there mid week, food selection outside with the truck wasn't great. Bring you food before you go or have delivery.. The atmosphere is very nice and great for group gathering

Chris S.

Yelp
This was our second time to Mighty Squirrel and we weren't disappointed. With an easy going atmosphere for all ages. It's nice place for friends to meet; parents, grandparents and kids to hang out, play games (use one of their many) or bring your own. There's ping pong table and even wall climbing. Then there's great beer, coffee, tea, something for everyone. My personal best part was the Food Truck. I had BBQ pork, so tasty. The pork had a really great flavor and the onions were sweet, not one of those sloppy sauce sandwiches- just the right amount. My husband had the grilled cheese sandwich which not only looked awesome but he said one of the best he's ever had. Yes, it can get a little hectic with young children but it's all good!!! Fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. (I didn't mention that people brought their dogs which were outside on the porch. Even they looked happy.)

Bill Z.

Yelp
A few of my local friends had come to Mighty Squirrel the previous weekend, so I had a head's up on what to expect. I was quite impressed. Their layout and routine is down to a science, and the beer list is amazing. You also have a variety of foods you can order both from inside and from food trucks, for which their schedule is conveniently maintained on their website. Anything you order comes to your table very quickly. But as the weather warms up, and things ease, prepare for waits for tables anywhere, inside, the patio, and the biergarten. Plan your time well, for you may have a seating limit under various situations. I have a preference for stouts, and I was quite excited to see their variety - less excited to see that only one of them was on tap. I also tried their Wee Sip Scotch Ale (10.3 ABV, glad I wasn't driving) which I'll describe as "interesting" but not unlikable. I guess for the rest of the stouts I'm just going to have to return and conveniently purchase cans to go. I was originally asking myself, "Isn't it excessive to have stouts in flavors like Red Velvet, Nutella, etc.? - to which I immediately had to reassure myself OF COURSE NOT! And for those times when I'm not in the area, I understand many of their beers are generally available elsewhere. But somehow I doubt I'll turn down any opportunities to come back here... because SQUIRREL!

S O.

Yelp
They have a decent beer selection and rotation. I love that they have smaller pours. That way you can try different styles without getting too filled up. Their sour beers are always too sour though. I've been a few times with friends and always find it hard to have a conversation because of the noise level. Outdoor seating is nice, in warmer weather. The wooden barrel "tables" are a nice rustic touch, but not very practical. It's just too high to set your beer on it while you're sitting. There is a very limited food selection, and what is available is just, meh. Really nothing worth writing about. They really do need to have better food, like restaurant food, not stuff you can heat up in a toaster oven. There are food trucks that come around but often the trucks aren't the ones their website says will be there. I'd actually go more often if there was better food.

Caroline J.

Yelp
My husband and I were in the area and wanted to try a few breweries. My husband enjoyed his beer and I enjoyed some water. The atmosphere is very nice and lots of tables inside and outside.

Yvonne W.

Yelp
Ummm... the beer draft menu selection was very small. Considering how big the location is I'm surprised that the draft choices are so limited. Great place to hang out with friends and they also have a small food menu which isn't usually the case with breweries like these. I like the Milk Czech the most which was like a creamy ale. ( if I could remember the name correctly!!) not a big fan of west coast IPA. And their IPA is not as hazy and flavorful compared to treehouse. But overall great place ! Would come again w/ friends. But probably not for the beer.

Shelley C.

Yelp
The pina colada and strawberry daiquiri were amazing! Sours were solid. Definitely will be back!

CJ M.

Yelp
This place is huge! Lots of space to mingle, sit down, etc. Inside and outside. It was busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon, but we found seating right away. We are big fans of IPAs and while we didn't find a beer that we loved, we had fun trying them all with their small "samplers." The Indian/curry food truck outside was very good and convenient since they weren't serving food that day.

Shashu B.

Yelp
A great place to hang out and drink delicious beers. It's a really cool space with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Great for small or large groups. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Beers are fantastic - the mango lassi sour was so good I bought some to bring home. Food trucks seem to be there daily. Overall a great spot and I'm looking forward to going back

Anna F.

Yelp
Very cool vibe here. Rock climbing next door and then grabbing a brew at mighty squirrel was the perfect date ;). Went with the strawberry sour beer. Delish! Just a little tart, and you get a bit of kiwi in the aftertaste. You can sit inside, outside on lawn chairs, or grab your beer in plastic cups and sit in this outdoor area with tables. Food truck outside. You can look on the website to see which one is going to be there.

Dana S.

Yelp
Super clean. Was here for a work event. You could literally eat off the floors if you would want to it was so clean. Bunch of different beers the day we were there. We had two small sample size beers. The only thing I wasn't crazy on? Almost everything when we were there was an IPA. I just like a little bit of variety because I'm not a huge beer fan. IPAs are my least favorite. Hey but Id go back. Because they were super nice, and I like the vibe.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Wow, Mighty Squirrel has an enormous space - great for get togethers with large groups. Plenty of tables and a few games inside. There's outdoor seating area with fire pits. Tons of beer options to choose from and a small food menu as well. The food is quite expensive, but their pretzel is probably the best pretzel I've ever had. It's warm, soft, slightly sweet with sprinkles of salt. I'm still thinking about that pretzel... If you don't want any food from the brewery, they also have a rotating food truck outside. There's also a Central Rock Gym literally right next door if you want to go rock climbing after a few drinks. Or...maybe the other way around

Manfred S.

Yelp
Beer is so-so. They seem to try too hard making funky beer. My recommendation: Don't make fancy flavors if you have not mastered the basics. Food is a joke. Don't go to the Squirrel to eat. I hear that occasionally they have food trucks there. There may be hope. The in-house kitchen did not cut it. The beer garden is terrible. Beer comes in plastic cups. It seemed that the patio offers glassware.

Jenn C.

Yelp
If you love Milkshake beers you need to try Mighty Squirrel! We love this brewery so much! Such a fun place to stay; and good beer to-go for later, too. We love sitting inside and watching the rock walk climbers through the glass wall; or sitting outside under an umbrella table with friends and food truck goodies to compliment the beers. Either way, you can't lose! And they allow dogs, so if you're looking for a good destinations stop with your four-legged friends, you should definitely keep Mighty Squirrel in mind!

Charlie F.

Yelp
Last time I was here was before COVID-19 hit and I'd have to say that the service and flavor profiles of their beers have continued to be consistent and still on the mark. With plenty of parking (and I mean plenty) as they share a plaza with other commercial buildings, you're greeted directly with an in-your-face on-the-wall up-to-the-ceiling menu of their draft pours, catching your attention and decision making (and also a smaller paper-clipped menu on the counter). Offering IPAs, DIPAs, a TIPA, sours, pilsners and lagers in both half (if you wanna sample more of their menu) and full pours, there'll be something for everyone's preferences and tastes. I ordered several of their half pours as I typically like to sample a fair portion of their menu, if not the entire menu. They were the 877 Cash Now Golden Ale, Yonder Pale Ale, Oktoberfest, Johnny Hammertime TIPA and ALS Warrior DIPA. Sampling each drink depends on where you start and as I started with the 877, the Yonder (which was second) was a bit underwhelming so the order of tasting should've been switched. Would have to say that their Oktoberfest and TIPA were very solid - the TIPA was flavorful with upfront citrus overtones without too much alcoholic bite. While they do offer a food menu, we went for the food truck option outside, which was Melt Grilled Cheese. Ordering a Chicken Chipotle sandwich which was nicely pressed and grilled with cheesy creaminess and their rosemary truffled fries, they hit the spot and paired well with my half pours. For anyone looking for a brewery with a good line-up, a plethora of parking, spaciousness with high ceilings and driving distance not too far from Boston (20-25 mins out), look no further than Mighty Squirrel!

Yelp
This place is awesome with lots of great beer to try. The staff is Amazing. They have a bar keep there named Steve. He's a great asset to their team. I met Thomas which was a wealth of information. The one thing I didnt like was the smell when you walk in. It smelled like hay. But beer is good. Food is good. Its def a must visit

Yelp
We're starting to go a little stir crazy with the quarantining and decided to check out Mighty Squirrel on a random Saturday early afternoon. Plus, they had the Asian foodtruck Moyzilla around serving up Korean cheesy corn tots, so I figured it worth the hike. Boy, was I blown away! First off, they're taking social distancing and safety guidelines really seriously. Good distance between tables, lots of tracking, and masks every time you're not at a table. Next -- the beer and food menu was ridiculously legit. We ordered the Munick and the Guavaland (sour IPA) and both were so, so good. Munick is just...a beer. Like, when you say you wanna beer, you mean Munick. And Guavaland was tart and bitter yet packed with a surprising amount of real guava flavor. We ended up walking away with 2 4-packs. We also ordered a cheese-stuffed pretzel, which was hot and toasty and yummy. Some notes: you gotta order 1 food item per beer per person. They're very strict with that, and you need to have the receipt at your table before they even drop off the beer to you (if you ordered at the food truck, make sure they text the receipt to you at the very least). Finally, the porta potties (they can barely be called that) are some of the fanciest and cleanest I've ever seen -- granted we were there around 1pm on a Saturday, so they may devolve throughout the day. Service is quick and friendly. Parking is plentiful.

Yelp
I've lived close to this place for years now and have tried their beer. However, I've never taken the time to visit their location. So it is quite ironic that I decided to do this during the time of COVID. The area is very nice-- it is a hilly, green part of Waltham that is secluded but not far removed from urban life if that matters. This is a perfect brewery and is always bustling with people. I made a reservation and was directed to my table. They have a nice online, no touch ordering system that is safe and minimizes exposure. We ordered several beers-- the guava beer, the strawberry smoovie and the strawberry-kiwi sourface. I typically rate all my beers on a different app called "Untappd", but I'll just say that I gave good ratings to the guava beer (4.0) and the smoovie (4.0). The sourface was an average beer. Again, taste for beer is subjective and individual, so I won't take points off for this-- someone else may love the sourface. The chicken curry pie that I got was also very good. The chicken might have not been as tender as I'd like but the portion was very appropriate and the curry flavors in the pie crust was a good match. They have other options too-- check them out. The server was friendly and very accommodating of special requests. I usually give 50% of my score for food, 30% for service and 20% for everything else. Food: 4 stars at 50% = 2.0 Service: 5 stars at 30% = 1.5 Ambience, location: 5 stars at 20% = 1.0 4.5 stars but rounding to 5.0. I was very impressed with this brewery.

Yelp
Nice to check it out for the first time a few weeks back. Didn't realize it's right next to a climbing gym, super cool you can see the climbing wall from inside the brewery. Service was good. I wish we had known to order from the food truck online, but other than that I will be back for sure. Their outside patio looked cool but was only available through a reservation. Might have to try that next time while the weather is still nice.

Yelp
I had a great time at this brewery. They had a fantastic section of stouts. They absolutely nailed a saison and the IPA that I finished up with was solid. I can't remember the name of the food truck that was there but they had a killer Philly.

Yelp
Surprised I haven't written a review for here yet! It's one of my favorite breweries both in New England and nationwide that I've been to. The most important part is the beer, and they have it on lock. I'm big into juicy bold IPAs, I absolutely love their Cosmic Distortion Double IPA. It's the kind of beer I've started to buy six packs of for home. Creamy, has great depth and balance of flavor, and is overall fantastic. The mango lassi IPA is tasty too just not my type, cloud candy is pretty good but not my favorite, they had another one like "big brother" but it's no longer on the menu, that one was pretty good. The games and activities are great, lots of things to do like ping pong, trivia, watch the people next door climb at the climbing gym. You can order pizza and they deliver it from next door, or get snacks like pies right there, and there's also food trucks that pull up during the day. I take my friends here when they visit, it's an awesome brewery! Love that it's in Waltham.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate their one year anniversary-congrats!!! This place is still so good. Solid beers(IPAs, stouts, sours). So many places to sit and have a beer (outdoor patio, high tops, swing chairs, huge bars). There is a window into the rock climbing gym next door. Parking is easy as this building is on the corner of a plaza. These guys have plenty of snacks to suit everyone's diet (pretzels, hummus, guacamole, chips). Food trucks a here on the regular. Check social channels for the schedule.

Yelp
I stopped by here for some beer yesterday and really enjoyed the experience. There is tons of parking and the inside is really nice. The DIPA's and TIPA I had were really good. I'd definitely rerturn.

Yelp
Awesome place to stay and have drinks. The Indian looking worker female worker took a beer away from our table which was very rude. We enjoyed but watch out for the Indian lady she's is trouble!

Yelp
Love coming here after work with the team. Our office is a short drive from the Mighty Squirrel. I'm not a huge beer drinker, all I know is I'm a fan of stouts and light beers. So when I come here I usually just get the Velvet Moon which is a mocha stout. If you like your coffee black then you'll like this since it literally contains cold brew local coffee from Danvers! The food is limited, they have pretzels (which I recommend), meat pies, pita and hummus. But they do have food trucks occasionally. I don't know their schedule but when we came last week on a Thursday they had one which was super convenient. You are also allowed to bring outside food! Feel free to message them on twitter as well. I did that and they were very fast at responding. The place is huge, there are lots of seating areas and patio spots. Unlike other breweries in the Somerville and Cambridge area there's actually space to move around at Mighty Squirrel. Also fun fact, they'll never close for a private event. If there's ever a private event they have enough space to just block off one section. So no need to worry about if they're open to the public any day you want to visit! To the right of the brewery there's a bouldering gym and they put up windows in between the brewery and the gym. So it's entertaining to watch people climb while you sip on a few brews. There's a ping pong table, foosball table and corn hole outside. The last time we were here with the team we found space force, if you've never tried this I highly recommend trying to find it! It's super entertaining with friends. Overall this is a super fun spot to come with friends, family or coworkers. There's plenty of room and space both indoors and out. The employees are very friendly and informal about the beers. They also have a private parking lot so no need to worry about street parking!

Yelp
Looooove this little brewery! Unexpected location in Waltham, but a great find! The beers are amazing and the spot is cool. They have two separate outdoor areas with seating and games, along with two bars inside with seating. There's also a coffee tea and pastry cafe! We tried the Cloud Candy (fav!!!) which is a new england IPA thats mildly sweet and reallyyyy smooth. The Strawberry Smoovy is a milkshake IPA which I was super into trying, but was a little bit too sweet and flavored for me. Not bad though! We also tried Cosmic Distortion, which is a double IPA and that was also very smooth and delicious. Finall we had the Hef Full hefeweizen which was a classic and creamy tasting hefeweizen. All larger pours were around $7-$8 and the small 7oz ones were $4-5. Would definitely go back!!! Service is great too. And they have pretzels, meat pies, pizza, and a rotating food truck.
