Mignon Steak Vieux-Montréal

What a fabulous experience! Our food was incredible, but the service surpassed it all. The server was attentive. Our order was missed by a printing error for the kitchen, and we were treated so well. When our food did come, it was delicious. Would highly recommend!

If you’re visiting Montreal, please add this to your list!! We got the combo where you get soup/salad, steak and fries and the dessert + the fillet mignon. The steaks were cooked to perfection and OMG the soup was literally the best thing ever, I believe it was a pumpkin something soup and for dessert we chose the cream puff which was light and fluffy. One of the best meals in Montreal! Plus wonderful service and a great atmosphere, perfect for a date night or a fancy girls outing.

Great mignon steak, very soft and tender, great sauce, surprisingly the fries were much better then I thought. Very flavourful. The machine and cheese is very nice to try. Would recommend to come with a group. The basement is the Negroni lounge. Very comfortable seating, nice atmosphere 👌 no photo of the steak cause it's too good to leave anything left 😀 ordered a martini too. Very nicely done.

One of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Sat at the bar which was the wrong decision. Terribly uncomfortable and should have moved to a table. Ordered the $1 oysters and a burger to share with my husband. Oysters were awful. Each one had little stones from the shell in them. The burger wasn’t good either. Don’t even want to remember it. And although the bartender was friendly and did his best to serve us (they seemed terribly under staffed) he wouldn’t stop combing his hands through his long hair and then handed us our cutlery, food and drinks. Just didn’t seem like a great experience.

$1 oysters are no joke. Great tasting and fresh. My personal rec is their Margarita! Mmmm mmm

Absolutely amazing time at this place. Our waiter was lively and informative, the atmosphere was welcoming but not boring, and the food was delicious. The sweet potato soup is definitely on my top 5 list of best soups. Real cream was used, and that's a sign of a good soup. The cream puff for dessert was was like creamy air covered in decadent chocolate. Worth the table d'hote just for this. Now for the one negative thing I have to say about here. While my steak was cooked to perfection and flavourful, I am not used to having McCain style fries with a higher end steak frites. Especially in Montreal of all places, you would expect fresh fries? But maybe that's just me. Worth a visit, and I will definitely go back. Especially after trying my friend's rack of lamb.

Popped in for some buck a shuck oysters, grilled shrimp and some drinks. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere is super welcoming but the thing that stood out the most was the service. Montreal restaurants aren’t really known for great service but this place is an anomaly. If you want great food and genuine GREAT service Mignon is the place!

cozy atmosphere & warm decor Delicious i loved the pepper sauce that arrived with my filet mignon. I am very satisfied and thrilled to have found this gem. I highly recommend Mignon Stake to anyone looking for a great dining experience. I can't wait to return!
