Google
We visited Migo Saigon a couple times for quick, satisfying lunches. Grilled Chicken Thighs are always perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful with their sauce. Paired with the Mi Ga, it’s a comforting dish. The Mi Ga noodles have the perfect texture, smooth and soft, and the broth is not too heavy, and really warms you up. For Valentine’s Day, they had a special that was a delightful touch! The Rose Milk Tea was refreshing, with a delicate rose flavor that wasn’t overwhelming. It was a lovely addition to the lunch combo. Plus, they included a small gift bag, which made the experience feel sweet! One thing to note is that the minimum of 18% tip for card payments, which feels a bit high considering the service. Overall, Migo Saigon is a great place for a enjoyable lunch.

Google
This place is great and the hype has died down which means there’s no wait. Love the dry noodles because it’s more flavorful. They do use MSG but that’s a given these days. Corn was okay - the shrimp flavor is quite strong if you’re not used to it. Food is consistently delicious.

Google
10/10. FYI I did NOT order the lunch special combo, it’s just there to share. But all the times I come to this place the Mi Go is so delicious, and it’s always consistent. I HIGHLY recommend the rice noodle version, as it is softer and I think complements the broth more than the egg noodles. There’s variation if you want because you can either choose your Mi Go dry with soup on the side or ALL soup, which I highly prefer. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out!! This place is a MUST!! And so cheap too for a huge bowl, ~$13!!

Google
Migo Restaurante offers an exceptional dining experience with fast service. The fried wontons and dry noodles are standout dishes, while the street corn adds a unique flavor. Highly recommended for food lovers!

Google
Absolutely blown away by this half-gallon of Vietnamese iced coffee! I couldn't resist taking a quick photo of the beautifully packaged Vietnamese iced coffee before diving in! The separate compartments for the coffee and salted foam were so tempting, I couldn't wait to try it. The coffee was a rich, velvety delight, and the salted foam added a perfect touch of sweetness and creaminess. I brought this to a work potluck, and everyone was absolutely raving about it. If you're looking for a showstopper drink that will impress your guests, this Vietnamese iced coffee is a must-try. It's a 5-star experience all the way!

Google
Dry chicken noodle is pretty tasty. American portion (small). Service could be friendlier. If your payment system automatically ask for 18% tip, the least you can do is walk around once to see if anything is needed.

I recently dined at Mi Go restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. The authenticity of the flavors transported me back to the streets of Saigon. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, providing the perfect setting for a memorable meal. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a definite must-try.

Food is alright. Mì vịt tiềm broth is a little lacking in flavor. The portion is a little bit small for the price though. Good customer service.

Yelp
Food/Drink: * Mi Suon - (8.1/10) - Broth is more sweet than salty. Typical noodles and plenty of meat Service: * Bilingual friendly staffs, sat us right away Atmosphere: * Nostalgic decor from the motherland. People chopping it up and slurping noodles Value: * Good price point to come back again What could be improved: * They don't accept American Express. Would I recommend it? * Yes, I would recommend

Yelp
Migo Saigon Food Street offers a modern take on Saigon street food, featuring noodle bowls, small dishes, and Vietnamese French coffee. Prices are moderate and consistent with the surrounding food mall restaurants. However, parking is very limited, so you'll need a bit of luck to find a spot. While the concept is intriguing, I'm not sure why it's labeled as 'street food,' as the menu doesn't resemble authentic Vietnamese street offerings. The corn appetizer had a nice flavor but ultimately felt mediocre--it was just corn mixed with onions and dried shrimp, and it didn't taste great. The chicken thighs were served with a special sauce, but they lacked any real flavor. The duck noodle soup stood out with its wonderfully flavorful broth. The Mi Ga noodles were cooked perfectly with great texture. I tried the Mi Ga with soup on the side based on their recommendation, but the soup was overly salty and hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, the chicken in the bowl was bland and lacked seasoning. Overall, the food and service need improvement. This is a counter-service restaurant where you pay and order before sitting, but the service was subpar and didn't enhance the dining experience. In the end, the place didn't live up to the hype. I'm relieved I didn't wait in line to try it when it was first opened. While it wasn't worth it this time, I may give it another shot in the future to see if things improve.

Yelp
Best place of Mì (egg noodles) of the Asian Community in US I tried many places in California but no where can't beat this place in Houston TX

Maggie L.

Yelp
Food was good, I got the pork with dry noodle, which came with soup on the side. We so ordered the grilled squid appetizer, which is soft. I love the green dipping sauce. The reason for the low rating is because we paid twice for the same table. My friend paid it the meal without me knowing, so I paid again while she went to the bathroom. Luckily we found out soon after, and had time to go back to the restaurant to get a refund. The guy who was there gave us a refund without issue and said it was a honest mistake. However, we would have been double charged if we didn't find out right away or couldn't go back.

AJ H.

Yelp
Food was good! Can't really go wrong with any of the noodle options they offer Service as okay. When asked to split the payment, the staff charged the full amount on the first card swiped.

Clarence W.

Yelp
Parking is very limited so you just have to get lucky. The corn was a nice appetizer with some nice flavor and the chicken thighs come with a wicked (yet yummy) sauce. The duck noodle soup had a wonderful tasty broth and both the Mi Go and Mi Ga were cooked perfectly for texture.

Yelp
Food 5/5 Coming from a Vietnamese cultural background, this place is authentic alright! The food is not too salty and the portion is enough for an average person. I ordered the dry hu tieu but the egg noodles is the the way to go! If you are hungry you might want to add some appetizers in which I would recommend the bone marrow/ xi quach (3 pieces for $7). The broth is naturally sweet from the broth and tasted very home cooked. I would definitely come back when I am craving noodles that aren't pho haha. Service 5/5 Nice, friendly, and attentive! Ambiance 5/5 The decorations take you back to Vietnam and its very cool! Great place for pictures too!

Vanya L.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Generous portions, left satisfied. Will definitely return!

Yelp
I saw so many good reviews and advertisements on Facebook, so while in Houston, I came to give it a try with my sister and mom. Inside was small, and you have to wait a little bit for seating since it's very limited. I waited about 15-18 minutes. The staff here were super busy, and most of them didn't even smile at all. Finally got seated, and their menu was very limited. I order some random appetizers like the grill chicken thighs and grill calamari. It was okie to me, nothing special. My sister and I ordered the mi go soup with pork and my mom order the dry version with soup. I just wish they have the side condiments with the topping and sauce. You have to ask for soysauce or chili, and they will bring it out to you. Personally, I thought the post on Facebook made the food look very appetizing. My soup was ok. I thought it was very bland. The meat was soft and tender, though. For the price, I think they could have done better. Overall, it is just my own opinion. I wouldn't come back here again, but I'm glad to have tried it out.

Katherine D.

Yelp
We love coming here kind late in the evening after classes. The service is nice and quick and the food comes out pretty fast. The soup isn't super complex and fancy, it's a nice simple noodle soup that always hits the spot when we are tired! Like it's very comforting. The chicken heart is also so good and the sauce is very addicting. The chicken itself has a spicy sauce but the dipping sauce is like cooling and spicy. Inside is very warm and cozy, but also it's very warm temperature wise most the time too. Overall we love this place!

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy but my group of friends and I were able to grab a spot at the large tables. I got the Mi Go dry and my wife got the Mi Go soup version. The Mi Go dry still comes with a side of the broth so it was great to have both. The Mi Go dry was ridiculously good and satisfied the craving I was having. The noodles themselves have a great bite to them and the sauce in the dry version along with all of the dry topping was delicious. The broth had a clean but full flavor and hit the spot. Absolutely coming back!!

Yelp
We walked in hungry and ready to eat. When walking in, the air did not feel on at all. It was hot. We sat down and had someone take our order who was training. We wanted two jasmine teas and one butterfly limeade to start. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times and say we were still looking at the menu and weren't ready to order food yet. The girl looked at us like we had 5 heads. She took everyone's order around us with no problem. People around us started getting their food, meanwhile we were still waiting for our food order to be taken. My husband never got his drink. I asked the girl if he was getting his drink, she looked confused and went up to other staff. Still waiting.....and someone else came up to us, and asked if we were going to order anything else. by this point we were ready to leave and eat elsewhere where we would be attended to. We said no, paid our drinks and left. Our receipt had 2 drinks. They never added his tea. We won't be returning.

Yelp
1. Service - our waitress was very attentive. She filled our drinks and came by often to check on us. Keep up the great work! This is an A-La-carte style restaurant. You wait to be seated, order at the table, pay at the front whenever you're ready to go. 2. Price - This ranges from $11 to $16 a bowl. 3. Ambiance - this place looks very appealing and cozy. It doesn't feel like your typical Vietnamese pho restaurant in Houston. I like the way they designed the place. This is a good place to meet with friends and family, but don't bring a huge party more than 10. They don't have the space. Sure you can put all the tables together to sit 10+, but it can be a wait. They're often quite occupied. The smaller the group, the likelier to get a table. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - So this place serves a bowl of noodles, however it is not pho! Pho is just rice noodles with beef broth. This place mainly serves egg noodles (yellow noodles) with pork broth. However, they do have rice noodles if you prefer. They serve noodles here with soup or without. You can eat with pork, beef, chicken, and their regular broth or with stew. I had their MI GO which is just Egg Noodles, Pork Broth, Pork, and some condiments. The broth is a little sweet to my liking, but it was still good. I think the broth may be cooked with some rock sugar. I'll have to try something else next time. Oh and must try their FRIED FISH BALLS. Those were out of this world! You won't regret it. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area and restroom appears clean. No complaints. Although my bowl wasn't exactly the way I wanted, I had a great experience. I recommend this place and would definitely try again.

Yelp
Migo is one of my favorite places to grab quality but quick Vietnamese food at a decent price. On past occasions, I've enjoyed the sautéed Vietnamese corn, which is a nice change of pace not offered at many Asian cuisine focused restaurant's, and the grilled chicken gizzards. My favorite entree is the Mi Go Dry! Super flavorful and a large portion size. Yesterday, I popped in for a butterfly tea limeade. The service was quick and very friendly even though I was just ordering a drink to-go. Careful - you do need cash if your order is less than $10! This is one of my favorite drinks - sweet yuzu with pea flower tea and tangy lime made. Plus, it's gorgeous to look at. A must have whether you dine in or just take it to go!

Rose L.

Yelp
I been wanting to try this place for years since they end opened but I've always heard bad things so I didn't go. Today I finally got to try it and can see why I never bothered. The noodles were dry, and after you microwave it, it was even more dry and unedible. The meat was also dry. I ordered the dry noodles (mi kho) and there was no sauce?! WTH. I know it's called DRY NOODLES BUT SHEEESH. On top of that, they gave us a tiny container of soup, just enough to feed a 5yr old. Ridiculous and disappointed.

Thanh B.

Yelp
The short hair lady gave me the look when I told her that my daughter is severely allergic to almost everything. She told me 'but outside food is not allowed' ... what a heartless woman??? Note: our table ordered more than 10 adult bowls.

Judy S.

Yelp
I am blown away by their Braised Duck Noodle Soup! It's my first time trying this recommended bowl and I'll definitely be back! The duck leg is so big & tender and the soup is packed with flavor! Our waitress is very friendly and attentive.

Tina P.

Yelp

Tommy S.

Yelp
This is based on a dine-in experience Pros: Great atmosphere Good service Both Mi Ga and Mi Go seasoned pretty well ( egg noodles with chicken and pork) Grill chicken gizzards were so good. That dish was my favorite. Cons: The egg noodles are a bit tough Not cheap; 2 egg noodles dishes with chicken gizzard = ~$30 I might come back here to give this place another try

Khanh T.

Yelp
I got the - Chicken hu tieu: chicken was tender but very bland dish overall. Not a lot of flavors - Mi Go: pork was tender, okay flavor. - Vietnamese streeet corn: delicious! Loved it! Very flavorful - Vietnamese coffee: average tasting coffee. Not very strong Overall average meal. Good customer service and ambient overall!

Ashley W.

Yelp
When I try Vietnamese food, it is usually pho, so I was excited to explore more! We tried Mi Ga ($12 - egg noodles that I chose to be dry so the broth was in a separate bowl) and a duck noodle soup ($15). The egg noodles were crispy but also soft once you dunk it in the broth. The pork didn't have much flavor, but once you add the sauce they give you, it was good. I liked the fried onions they added. The duck was fatty and had lots of flavor. The server was attentive and nice. The store is beautiful inside! They painted the walls with colorful, bold strokes to seem like you're eating at a food stall in Vietnam. There are even fake windows! It seems like a small restaurant in New York.

Amy Y.

Yelp
Ehhh... don't understand the hype... we got the specialty and other dishes... very underwhelming... and we left hungry... uncomfortable seating... red flags in a restaurant... one that has a lot of signs on the walls saying they have the right to refuse service... and other warnings...

Megan N.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place and the interior with the ambiance that the place brings out. The food was like no other that I have had before. Each bowl was filled with such rich flavors. Service was friendly and helpful. Food came out fast and fresh. Only thing is that we came a bit later and they had run out of some items. So definitely recommend coming earlier to ensure you get to try what you want to. Definitely will be returning!

Huy P.

Yelp
Food is on point. Broth and noodles are perfectly cooked and flavorful. However, servers (the sisters) are really showing attitude and passive aggressive. They gave me eye rolled when being politely asked. They even denied to split the bill of 5 items into 2 separate ones because they " don't know how to do it" ( acknowledging the fact that they have been working at the place for years ). To make it worse, they even denied to accommodate when I asked for " less noodles " and nothing extra in substitute because "everything is made in certain portion" . They also made homophobic jokes about my friend behind the counter whenever they saw him show up and no, they didn't even try to hide it. The last straw was they messed up my to-go order even having repeated twice. I love the food but the unnecessary nuisance keeps me from coming back *updated* : their staffs cyber bullied my friend on social media for pointing out rude and unprofessional manner of the servers with their fake accounts. The owner has never admitted the problem is from their services but I guess making up excuses and blaming it on customers is easier job to do. Bring your business somewhere else

Michael S.

Yelp
The limited Braised Duck Noodle Soup is excellent! The Duck Leg Quarter is deliciously braised with the right amount of tenderness. I love the soup that has the infusion of Shiitake Mushroom and other Asian herbs. The Mi, the same type of Egg Noodle used in Wonton Noodle Soup is cooked perfectly al-dente. Vanessa got the signature Hu Tieu Go, a street food style Rice Noodle Soup. The broth is good, overall a bowl of comfort food. I do wish there is a bit more protein for the price. I love the Southeast Asian-style decor of the place, very much like how I remember little mom-and-pop businesses in Malaysia.

Lynn V.

Yelp
I called to ordered togo yesterday & this is my 2nd time ordered from Mi Go. I had a bad experience when they first opened so i think i give them a chance but i am so disappointed. How on earth they gave this much of the broth for dry noodles? I understand it for dry noodles but i never even see any restaurant gave this much of the broth for dry noodles! And dry noodles very very dry, the noodles so soft when i heat it up because they are soaked everything on the bowl. No beansprouts no salad. I can't even finish half of the bowl. For the price and so many competition in china town I don't think it cost too much to fill the broth up even half of the container's cup. For me i think the noodles is good or bad the broth is very important. I hope the owners read my review & to adjust what needs to get it better...

Allison W.

Yelp
Came here on a friday night with my sister. we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the interior decoration was. We were seated promptly and were given a very simple menu. Braised duck egg noodle soup (~$15.5): I think this is a limited time menu item, but it was DELICIOUS. The broth that it comes in is so meaty and rich- I wanted to drink it all. Mi go (~$11): The pork slices were a little dry but if you dip it inside the soup, it was really good. I really liked the little fried shallots that they put inside. Grilled Squid (~$7.5): really good appetizer, the sauce that I came with complemented the squid very well. overall, the food is priced great and taste great. The service from the staff could be a bit more friendly, But I would definitely come here again if I am ever craving some good soup

Hong L.

Yelp
We always seem to stop here when we're in the Houston area. They're known for their Vietnamese street style food and noodles. Our usual go to order is the dry or broth Migo noodles, simple yet tasty. Also recommend their grilled squid appetizer with spicy sauce!

Calvin W.

Yelp
Migo stays true to the food street aesthetic with a nicely done wallpaper and decor that takes you out of the strip mall and into a streetside setting. Bar and table seating options make this a nice date spot for the unpretentious. Service is OK, usually I wouldn't expect world class hospitality in Chinatown but the impressive decor left me with higher standards. Could have been a bit more friendly, but they got the order quickly and brought drinks out quickly enough. However, our bowls took 15-20 minutes to come out... at less than half restaurant capacity! it doesn't take that long to make noodles in broth. Came hungry and got painfully hungrier. Kind of disappointing. Migo food street provides thai/birds eye chili, not for the faint of heart! Love the choice to add something REALLY hot. Now, onto the food-- we got a mi go and hu tieu go in broth. I don't claim to be a vietnamese food expert, but it wasn't bad at all! Mi go is egg noodle, and hu tieu go is rice noodle. The migo is more salty and gamey in broth, while the hu tieu go in broth tastes more like standard pho you would get at other places. If you can handle the wait time and service, this spot will do the job for someone wanting Vietnamese noodles a cut above the standard.

Lisa N.

Yelp
Vietnamese restaurants that specializes in Mi Go, which is an egg noodle soup dish. Overall, it's pretty good (3.5/5), but I expected it to taste better given that it is a specialized restaurant with a limited menu that was specific to this dish. Wish the Mi Go had more meat and more variety in its toppings. Inside the restaurant is decorated very "trendy", with a street bar vibe. It is also a very small inside with limited seatings, but the service is extremely fast. May come back if I'm craving Mi Go, but tbh i would prob prefer to get it any Vietnamese restaurant that makes noodle dishes.

Dzung N.

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time and it was delicious. The texture of noodle is what made their ramen so good. The noodle is not soft like most place, but rather a bit chewy like it supposed to be. It reminded me of the noodle in Vietnam. I will be back.

Tracy B.

Yelp
It wasn't our first time coming to this restaurant. We like the ambiance that reminds us of Vietnamese street food. However, with today encounter of their horrible service from the waitress. We don't think we will be coming back anytime soon. I initially walked in listing we have 3 adults and two babies. The waitress sat me down in a table of 4. However, when my sister came, she brought her other child with her. So we ended up with 3 adults, 1 kid, and two babies. My sister then chose the empty back table to sit with more seating and to be more comfortable for the two babies. The waitress at the time was busy taking order from the other table. No one else able to help us. There's only 3 tables occupied including us. So there are plenty of empty tables throughout the restaurant. She then rudely came to us and said, "next time, you guys need to ask me for permission". I'm not quite sure how this place train their staffs. But she could have handled the situations better. For example, she could have said, "I'm sorry. Please let us know to seat you better next time as we have to make sure tables are available for other guests". Instead, we were treated badly before we had a chance to explain ourselves. We eventually walked out of here because there's no next time. We can find similar food places in the strip of Bellaire, the Heights, and throughout Houston. We don't need to come in to be treated with this kind of service. So sorry but there's no next time! This review is posted in hope this place can better train their staffs and also to warn others what kind of service you may have despite the place is empty/not even rush hour.

Phoebe D.

Yelp
If these noodles were not advertised as mi/hu tieu it would not be as bad, but if you ACTUALLY want good mi or hu tieu, do not go here. I got the dry hu tieu go, and the sauce is definitely not like an authentic hu tieu sauce - it tasted more just like regular soy sauce, which wasn't terrible, but again it's not what this dish is supposed to taste like. The broth that comes on the side also wasn't great and the portion size was pretty small. I was also disappointed because I usually like getting hu tieu dai/tapioca noodles instead of rice noodles. At most Vietnamese restaurants that specialize in hu tieu, you can get hu tieu dai if you ask, even if it's not on the menu; I asked the waitress if they had it here and she said that they did, but they ended up giving me the normal rice noodles anyway, so either she misunderstood my question or they just forgot to give me the substitution. Not a huge deal because it's not originally on the menu, but it was just another inauthentic feeling thing about this place. Bellaire is literally full of Vietnamese restaurants so I'd really suggest you find something else if you want a better tasting meal for a better price.

Hung P.

Yelp
old school viet noodle restaurant. The food is great and service was quick and efficient. The decor was perfect . Highly recommended for your noodle cravings. I had the dry noodles while my wife had the ones in soup. We definitely come back for the dry ones.

Khanh M.

Yelp
It is look good, the foods containing too much MSG. Service is okay. Restaurant is clean.

Cassandra M.

Yelp
Soooo delicious!! I got the mi go and it was such a warm gift to my tummy :) I got it dry and I highly recommend cuz you can enjoy the ingredients fresh and without the broth and then enjoy it together and can control how you enjoy each part of the dish more!! I reccommend asking for some hot sauce, it upped the oomph. Each ingredient was amazing but I love how rich and flavorful the broth was :)) I'd 100% return!! So delish. The con's that stood out: I had to ask several times for water, not very attentive service after food was served Weird smell in the back of the restaurant Aside from the food, a pro that stood out: Hostess was really kind and considerate to my sister who was on crutches. Kinda expensive tho but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Yasmine N.

Yelp
Also the atmosphere makes you feel like you are actually in Vietnamese! A little busy but I do understand what the hype is about because the food is just so good! I just wish it wasn't too cramp and the store was a little too hot for me to enjoy it! But I would definitely come here to eat again in the winter or to go.

Huy T.

Yelp
Pretty decent food I'd say. However the service on the other side is extremely terrible. The server was inattentive and had an awful attitude in general. I would not recommend this place at all.

Brian H.

Yelp
Pretty cool place and the interior decor looked great! It gives that Japanese Ramen vibes with the darker interior. I've ordered the Mi Ga (Dry) and it was one of the best Mi Ga I ever had. Pricing was relatively decent. Customer Service was great! Definitely will be coming back when I'm back in H-Town.

Cindy L.

Yelp
This place is located in the small plaza that's always packed so it's a struggle to find parking, but once you do, this place is a great visit. We were seated immediately and the place looked very modern and cute. We ordered chicken hearts, which were so good! It was on skewers with delicious seasoning from nuoc mam, and it tasted really well with the cucumber dipping sauce. I'm craving it as I type! We also ordered the mi go dry noodles. This was so good! The flavor was there and the noodles were delicious. I love how the pork was thinly sliced and was super lean. The broth on the side was delicious and not salty at all! It's a little pricier than other places, but overall, I would highly recommend this place if you're able to find parking!!! PS. Loved the vpop music playing as well

Javier T.

Yelp
It's a small spot but the food is excellent! I had 3 apps to get a variety and they were all great. Street corn, chicken thighs, and the fried wontons. The honey limeade was good too.

Mindy L.

Yelp
I had cut my finger one day and couldn't cook so my husband kindly offered to pick up dinner for us. He came home with some to-go order from Migo and we both enjoyed it a lot! We tried the dry style Mi Go and dry style Mi Gha. Both were delicious with the fragrant scallion oil sauce they used to flavor the noodles. We had both the rice noodle and egg noodle, and while both were good I favor the egg noodle because they cook it so al dente. If you prefer softer noodles, I'd go with the rice noodle. The crunchy onions and lard bits also added nice texture and flavor. While some reviewers commented on the higher price point of Migo compared to other Vietnamese joints nearby, I thought the quality of meat was better than what I'm used to in Chinatown. The broth was tasty but a tad too sweet. My guess is they added sugar to the broth, although can't say for sure. One complaint is that there wasn't enough vegetables, just a sprinkle of bean sprouts, but it's a personal preference. Since then we've returned for take out orders. Unfortunately they no longer sell the fried rice on the kids menu as I was interested to try a rice dish. While I can't comment on the service or interior decor since I never dined in, I found the food to be satisfying and yummy! Come check out this place next time you're in the Bellaire food street plaza!

Thien T.

Yelp
Was looking for a soupy place to eat. It was a Wednesday night, very quiet place for weekday. Quick service and the food was delicious. We got the Hu tieu go and hu tieu ga kho ( broth on the side). Absolutely loving the fish it if the broth. Meat was very tender. If your looking fur quick eats on weekdays, this is your spot.

Yelp
Looking from the façade of Migo Saigon Food Street restaurant, you can't tell what it serves inside. Being on the west end of Bellaire Food Street mall, it is my favorite place to get a quick bite and relax on my day off. When Migo opened in August 2019, I couldn't try the food because it was dinnertime only. After seeing delicious posts from social media, my curiosity grew and I finally got a chance to eat8 here in December 2019 for a restaurant scouting adventure with my foodie friends. That was a freezing 40-degree evening. We sat on the cold bench outside to wait to be called. Once called, we waited inside for another line to order. This format fit perfectly for my Chinatown Crawl UYE style, which counter order and sit with my group afterward. I let my guests to order first. I took awhile to order because I wanted to try everything. The aroma of bone soup filled the entire restaurant and people were enjoying their food. Then, cashier offered vegetarian noodles, because my guests ordered every other variety. Good choice! We got to sample different types of food offered at Migo, except bone soup. So, I decided to try it later by myself. I came back in 2020 to eat it with being embarrassed by how I indulged the Xi Quach (8-hour slow cooked pork bone soup). Hands down to grilled chicken feet, Vietnamese corn, Hu Tieu Chay (vegetarian noodle), Mi Go (pork noodle), Butterfly Tea Limeade, Fried Fish Balls, Beef Balls Soup and Xi Quach (pork bone soup).

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There were two other tables so we didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant is rather dark and the decor is sleek, with a food street vibe. We ordered both the dry chicken noodle and the pork noodle dishes. I usually prefer rice noodles over egg noodles, but the egg noodles here were excellent. They were al dente with a bit of a crunch. The skin-on chicken meat, and the boiled pork were nicely cooked and tender. The sauce that the noodles were tossed in was good, just wished there was a bit more sauce. The soup on the side was good but really fatty. Why the 3 star rating? The service leaves something to be desired. We asked for less noodles and was told that the noodles were pre-portioned so adjustments cannot be made. We asked for a bowl to share food with our nieces and the waiter brought out what looks like sauce bowls. We asked for a bigger bowl and he basically told us that's not possible. Although the food was good, the two of us had heartburn through the night. The food is good but be warned, it's greasy!

Yelp
Food was probably 2/5, pretty pricey for what it is as you generally just get a couple small pieces of chicken in your bowl. Service was 1/5. The one waitress with the big glasses was particularly rude and could definitely use some customer service training. Never once checked on our table, multiple people needed drinks, poor attitude the whole time to other customers. Believe me or not but all I'll say is go through the reviews and you'll see this common feedback. Also, when paying, look closely at the bill because these guys will try to sneak in an automatic 18-20% gratuity fee because presumably they know they won't get a good tip based on the level of service they provide. They claim they only do this for large groups (8+) but they did that to our group of 6. Again, believe me or not but if you go through the reviews, you'll see this has happened many times before and is far from just a coincidence... Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Yelp
After coming a handful of times, the food never disappoints. Regardless of what you order, it will fill you up and be amazing. On the other, the service is terrible. The waiters will get your order, drop it off, and you'll never see them again. I tried to get a waiters attention once for 20 minutes to order additional noodles and by the time they came over, the kitchen was closed. They also won't refill your drinks and tend to be rude. So definitely just take your food and go.

Yelp
This place has really neat wall murals and a quaint atmosphere that reminds me of eating in an alleyway in urban Vietnam. I got the classic Mi Go soup - egg noodles, pork slices, raw onions, and crispy onions. The flavor of the entire soup was pretty good and the broth complements the meat and noodles well. Definitely nice for one of the few cold days in Houston. Portions are pretty small, though for ~$9, I suppose I shouldn't be too greedy. I will say they're a little skimpy on the meat though. I like having a solid meat-to-noodle ratio in my soups, but a few thinly-sliced pieces of pork leaves me hanging with an oodle of noodles after I'm through with the meat. We also go the fried wontons as an appetizer, but it took these a long time to come out. We were well through our soups by the time these came out...which is not really the point of an appetizer. Though I can imagine the soups are probably pre-portioned vs. them having to fry the wontons, but waiting an extra 20 minutes for these to come out after the rest of the food is a bit long. Luckily we still had plenty of room for more after the modest soup portions. Would I go back? If I was hosting an out-of-towner who was specifically craving mi go, sure I'd take them. But I wouldn't go out of my way to satisfy my own soup craving. I could get better bang for my buck with pho or one of the other Chinatown soup eateries.
