Mike's Coney Island Restaurant

Me and my boys wanted to try a new restaurant in the Holly area. I had googled Mike’s Coney. We went in order our food. The waitress were nice. They were attentive. The place was clean. 8/10 for me check them out.

Absolutely 💯 the place! Fresh local produce. Proteins are fresh sourced and prepared in house. Corned Beef is nuts! 🤤 Breakfast Lunch Dinner anytime. Offers gluten-free, and will accommodate ANY allergies or dietary restrictions if possible. Staff is down to earth and friendly. Family owned. Spotless. If you want fresh, craveable Coney... this is your place. The drive is relaxing as well.

I always come here for breakfast, they give you alot of very good food cooked just right at very decent prices. The waitress are very friendly and Susan is the best. Food comes out fast and hot. Place is always spotless. This is my go to place for breakfast, it can't be beat.

Place was really home like feeling. When I was here I actually got my lunch paid for me the waitress told me that my lunch was taken care of. She told me they have a customer who buys gifts cards for someone to buy their lunch and or dinner here. I was surprised and was really grateful and thankful and passing that gratitude and compassion on to someone else 🫶🏼 Thank you for whoever that person is I appreciate you and grateful and thankful God Bless!

Food was fantastic. Waitress on the other hand...oh my. We called ahead for a 15 top after a funeral. Waitress didnt ask half our party for their drinks. When one did receive their coffee they asked for a stirrer and napkins because it has spilled they were met with very rude comments about how she was busy and didnt even give us silverware. She then proceeded to toss the silverware onto the table, not even on the napkins. I had still not received a drink (along with 3 others) and when she asked for our order I asked for 2 waters and was told no. We never did receive our waters. Any question or comment directed towards her was very polite on our end but you could tell she was in a very bad mood and/or overwhelmed with every response. Fries were good, cheese sticks could have been warmer, same with the cheese half melted in the omelet. One person got double toast because it was incorrect. Overall not bad but very rude service..mind you this was a Wednesday around 1pm.

I have never been so disappointed. Spent three dollars on a carry out. I French dip sub the meat is so tough. I can barely chew it. My son got a country omelette. It is not a country omelette. There’s gravy and it had corn beef in it. The only thing that was edible was the grilled cheese. I spent $30 and only thing edible is the grilled cheese

Excellent food, excellent service.

Phenomenal across the board. The food here was amazing. They also accommodated us and made us a special burger " The Motor City Villain Burger" Pictured above. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Its called mikes coney, and 1 coney dog is 4.50, they do not have a coney day.. 1 coney and a fountain pop + tip is gonne be 10$... burgers taste good for frozen patties that are the price of fresh patties. 1 waitress is really good, the rest are lucky to be employed.. that could have changed but doubt it i don't go there anymore... prices have probably went up, that seems to be the only thing you can count on when you go there.. ​

Food is always fresh. Susan and all the staff are always welcoming and smiling. My favorite is the broccoli bites. I'm waiting for a order now

Food is really good, perfect small coney for cravings. The service is excellent considering how busy they seem to stay. Ambiance is a little cramped but worth it if you like being close to family. Over all: well priced for the food received, a nice family restaurant and would eat here again.

It was our first visit here. We have heard many times how good the burgers are. So, we needed to try. Our first impression was that the Service was very friendly and efficient. They all had a smile on their faces all the time and made us feel welcome. The ambiance is very typical for a Coney Island restaurant. I noticed that the restaurant is very clean. Furthermore, I really liked the comfortable seats. I could not spot any seat that did not look in perfect condition. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, and it was great! There was a generous portion of toppings. My wife liked that they served it with extra slices of pickles. I had plenty of mushrooms. The meat was cooked just right (as ordered) and juicy. It was a very hardy and tasteful meal. We will return soon to try the breakfast selection, which also looks very good.

This place consistently has wonderful and pleasant service. It doesn't matter if you're there to eat in or to carry out. It's always a pleasure.

Truly recommend this establishment. My wife and I have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can't go wrong for a quaint diners experience. Great service too! Best kept secret!

Burgers are good but if you order takeout, the burger buns get soggy which is pretty gross. Mike's crispy chicken wrap is really good though.

Great service, generous portions, fun art on the wall. It's a diner in the best sense of the word. "Diner" also means unfancy coffee and lots of tasty food that's not necessarily healthy. But if you're looking for a diner, you already know that! Loved my veggie hash browns that were served with the best cinnamon raisin toast ever. Hubs enjoyed his omelette too. We will definitely be back!

I called to place a carry out order. After many rings they answered the phone with no hello, nothing. I listened to there staff have a full on conversation. They just hit answer to avoid the aggravation. You are in business, right? Apparently calling them is a bother. We have spent lot's of money there but never again. Get a clue for God's sake. You are in a customer service business. Your staff needs a clue. You are not great enough to treat people like this and you'll be out of business!

Best service and coney food is so good i recommend coney dogfish bacon best food in holly.

Great food, great service! I had the hot roast beef, the beef and potatoes are made in house and very good. My teenage son says the mozzarella sticks were very good. My husband enjoyed the chicken pita sandwich and says it is chock full of chicken and the honey mustard sauce was really good.

Great breakfast, especially the omelette's! I take my out of town friends here because it's so consistently good.

Solid food! Waitstaff is on point. Prices are average for 2023. The food and service are good enough that I am a repeat customer.

Super clean diner, staff are quick, friendly and attentive. THE FOOD is AWESOME. Went there for breakfast this week and Mike's Hash is the best I have had. I can't wait to get back for lunch or dinner the next time I am in Holly.

This place never disappoints. The staff is always friendly whether they are packed or you are the only table. Great hometown diner atmosphere. Whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner...it's great!! Very decent pricing too!!

Been here before and it was good, so we stopped again. I place my order and look over - the chef is not wearing a mask. I see this a lot when I go out. If it wasn't for needing to feed a family member, I'd leave.

All waitress are very friendly except one. She's rude all of time. I should get her name. I love Mikes until the last few times. She has ruined the nice atmosphere.

Don't ask for a little extra onion on Coney's you will get charged a $1.89 freaking ripoffs you can thank the new waitress won't be going back there again was a regular too so sorry. Never got charged before for extra onions there or anywhere for that matter.

We frequent Mike's at least four times a week. We were there tonight. Our coffee cup never gets empty. The food is generous and yummy. We ALWAYS leave with a container for you to enjoy later. When Mike and Susan purchased what was formerly known as Tom's Coney, the menu improved DRAMATICALLY. I can't recommend this establishment enough. Daily Specials, Breakfast anytime, Coffee always topped off. Nothing better. Stop by and enjoy a meal, and the waitresses will take great care of you. Phil Bass.

This place was amazing. I've been in the restaurant business for 30 years and never had the experience I had today. Sat down told our waitress we left another restaurant that just didn't feel right, so we googled and somehow ended up there. We had all kinds of people chat with us. Told us how great the food was and how it's all home made. And it was good! And was priced accordingly. Probably the best pricing around. Has that small hometown vibe. Wait staff was on point and food came out quick as well. I can see myself definitely being a regular there. Definitely recommend this place!

This is my favorite place in Holly. The staff is wonderful and the food is great. Plus, they make their own corn and roast beef in house!!! Nothing but wonderful things to say for this restaurant. 10/10!!

Mikes coney is our go to coney in holly! They are always speedy for dine in or take out and always have great service and food.

Perfect food the classic double cheeseburger was on point and was made to perfection. Perfect place was lunch if your looking for that classic burger and shake style place. I eat burgers everywhere I go and this was definitely a great burger for a fair price point!

Two words. Extraordinary service. I have never been pampered like this. Oh my god. My waitress knows how to work a group of tables. The other waitress is also making this an experience for her tables as well. Kelly is a beast. (That's a good thing) She has made this regular old Coney Island a destination for me in the future. I will gladly go out of my way to revisit this experience in the future. I don't know Tom but if he is reading this do whatever you have to do to retain these two waitresses. Good help is hard to find and great help is damn near impossible. You sir have hit the jackpot.

This is now called Mike's Coney. Has been a fair place to eat. But...they just made changes and one of the changes is they now charge you 1.80 for chips when you order a sandwich. Beware....we were not warned of this and we just paid 6.00 for chips at lunch today. Everywhere else gives you chips with a sandwich.

Great Greek omelette. Plenty of fillings. Rye toast was cooked very well not burnt or dry. Extra crispy hash browns came out as asked. Served with a side of taziki. Waitress was very attentive and food came out quickly. The portion was also much more then I needed, but I finished it all. I would definitely recommend.

This is where my parents go when they are looking for a good breakfast. They rarely go out, but if they do, Tom's is it. It's also nice because it's where they take any of my siblings or myself for a special treat. :) The quality of the food is surprisingly good here. Not very greasy and quite fresh tasting. I was definitely nervous the first trip over there because it's a small town Coney, but I was, and continue to be, impressed every time. They have a few veggie options which really surprised me. I have only ever had breakfast food when I have been here, but my stepdad has had other menu items and tells me that they are just as good as the morning selection. Maybe the nostalgia of the place has inflated my opinion of Tom's, but if I am going out for breakfast in Holly, this is where you'll find me :)

All of the food here is fresh and tasty! Combine that with excellent, friendly, fast service, and a large menu, and you have the perfect place to eat!

When Mike's first opened, the food was great & we were really excited to have a decent restaurant in town. Now it is totally hit-or-miss and the customer service has gone downhill too. When we called about soup we got in a carry out order that was so salty it was practically inedible, we were told that they wouldn't do anything for us because "they tasted it and it wasn't salty". They have lost a frequent customer.

Order the Tom's omelette! It will cure any hangover. Family and I meet for breakfast every once or twice a year. Everyone orders breakfast and everyone is happy! Cash only

This is now Mike's coney. Been sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for my food. 4 other people in the place. Waitress Hass been around 3 times saying my food will be right up. Happened last time as well but I figured maybe someone called in sick for the kitchen help. Nope..... Standard procedure. Rediculous. Never coming back.

I only come here once a year, on my way to the Wreath Laying Ceremony at Great Lakes Cemetary, but I look forward to it each time. It's nothing fancy, but the food is great, you get a lot of it for the price, and service is efficient. Can't ask for more. I seem to always order a hash skillet, and it's massive. 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and about 2 lbs of egg/potato/veggies/meat. And they're not shy with the meat. I ordered the Tom's Famous skillet this time, and it was amazing. Service is so efficient -- each waitress has a clear mutual respect for each other, that you get from working so long with one another. They help each other with tables, fill other tables' drinks as they're walking by, etc. It's very friendly. Both my MIL and FIL took half of their breakfasts home with them. I unashamedly finished the whole thing -- and until you've been here, you can't understand the feat :) Already looking forward to the next time I get to come here.

A fun little place with good food and great staff. The kind of place where people become regulars and the food always hits the spot. Breakfasts are very good here as is everything else on the menu. I think that what really sets this place apart from other coneys is the way the waitresses treat all the customers like they are old friends even if it is there first time stopping in.

Love it!! Staff is very friendly act like they've known you forever. Food is good and consistent. Think they changed their fries to crinkle cut which I prefer to the old ones. Refills come right away. Order to go sometimes and still yummy (like the cheese steak). Wish they took credit, don't know how many times I had to pay an ATM fee next door to pay.

Great Coney. Fries were awesome. Portions were large. Staff was super friendly. They only take cash though which was the only down side. My husband had to run to the atm during our meal. Would for sure come back again.

Waitresses outstanding and breakfast perfect. Prices great and seats comfortable.

I had Mac and fried cod and it was excellent comfort food. Nothing fancy. Cod was just like fried cod at churches during lent season.

Best breakfast and lunch in the area. Awesome service and friendly people. I was more than impressed with the egg omelet and coffee was also delicious.

Toms is the best place around. They do everything I've tried very well. The southern omelet is amazing. Chili Cheese Fries are awesome, BLT is great. Go there.

Food is amazing! The portions are huge and delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and dont keep you waiting long. The only one downside to this place is they only take cash. But again that is the only downside. This place is an awesome friendly family oriented delicious place to go

Your typical coney food for the locals. If you are from Holly, you are sure to see someone you know at Tom's.
