"An Eastern Market eatery closed permanently on December 31 after being located in a building that a major landlord earmarked for demolition last summer; those development plans and the landlord’s recent property acquisitions prompted community calls to designate Eastern Market as a historic district. The owner plans to open a nearby supply store on Russell Street selling cleaning supplies and a limited selection of groceries." - Brenna Houck
