"After its original location was torn down in 2016, the future seemed to hang in the air for Mike’s Drive-In, an old-school burger joint located in Milwaukie and Oregon City. Then, new locations (along with changes to the menu) began popping up. First, a brand new location in Tigard, and later, another on Lombard. Mike's does the classic drive-in/walk-up burger counter flawlessly, featuring regular burgers along with deluxe versions piled high with bacon and fried eggs. The waffle-cut sweet potato fries are a must, and seasonal shakes, parfaits, and sundaes blended with huckleberries and marionberries really complete the classic American burger experience." - Rebecca Roland, Janey Wong, Ron Scott

Wow what a spot what burgers used to be and should be! Freshly made so might take longer than usual but definitely worth the wait. The burger tastes better with every bite! Got the fried pickles not bad but I do regret not getting fries to try all the dipping sauces.

Stopped by Mike’s Drive-In in Tigard and had a great experience! The burger was delicious — juicy beef patty, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and just the right amount of sauce. The bun was soft and slightly toasted, holding everything together nicely. Everything was wrapped neatly in foil to keep it warm and mess-free. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. The restaurant had a classic diner feel, and the shake options looked really tempting too (I’ll be back to try one!). If you’re looking for a solid burger in Tigard with that old-school drive-in charm, Mike’s is definitely worth a visit. Rating: 4.5/5

Google
This location is a sit down place with a walk up counter also. Order at counter and kiosk. Blue cheese bacon and double cheese bacon burgers were juicy. Marionberry shake was unique. Waffle fries were crispy.

I was very excited when I seen that Mike's driving. Had a new location. For the last 30 years, this had been my favorite burger joint in Milwaukee and Oregon city. And up until today, I was never disappointed. I ordered a hard ice cream vanilla milkshake. I was told that they don't do hard ice cream and vanilla anymore. So I got a soft serve vanilla milkshake what I receive was a cup of bland white ice cream. It may have been blended for a minute. But there is no way you could suck it through a straw. Which is fine. But it was definitely the worst milkshake I had ever had except for the McDonald's milkshakes. Lol. My double cheeseburger arrived shortly after that. The patties were crispy and dry and lacking in flavor. I don't know what happened at Mike's. But this isn't the Mike's drive-in that I remember. I hope this was just a fluke.

Google
It's a burger joint. Very clean and friendly service. Order inside or at walk-up window. Shakes are made your way. My food was hot and freshly made. The burger was better than fast food but still fairly fast. Fries were cooked in good oil. Great experience, conviently located just off of I-5.

Love the staff here ! Kylene is amazing , always remembers my name , and my order . Never had a bad meal here , and the shakes are great !

Google
Good ol' average burger and fries. Gluten free bun was nice, Came with a cookie which was awesome. Great staff. Kinda small indoor area , almost had trouble finding a seat.

Caitlin Bellinger

Google
Good place for a pretty good burger and fries. A bit on the spendy side. But hey it's better then McDonald's. I tried the orange cream shake and it wasn't very good at all. The soft serve cones are good though and you can get the swirl with any flavors. Also they have a lot of shake flavors so that's cool too.

Jen B.

Yelp
I usually go to their other locations because this one definitely had some growing pains. I'm happy to report that all the kinks have been ironed out here at this location! The food is so good, the shakes are great and service time is what it should be now. The only thing I dislike about this location is that they really need to use better window coverings. In the afternoon, it gets quite hot in there with the sun shining in on your heads. They added some roller shades but not on all the windows and often times the shades are rolled up and not being utilized.

Marissa D.

Yelp
It was my first time driving Mike's Drive in. I couldn't believe they had such an awesome gluten-free bun! As a gluten-free vegetarian, it's difficult to find a good veggie burger with a gluten-free bun. The person working let me know the fryer is shared for fries, so I skipped the fries. It's a cute little place and a lot of milkshakes are without malt and gluten-free as well for the hot days coming up! Thanks!

Scott G.

Yelp
My wife ordered the kids cheeseburger meal today for lunch. The burger was tiny and thin and quite overcooked. The patty has curled up. Reminds me of the old Wendy's commercial,"Where's the beef?". I had the fish and chips which was OK for a frozen cod dunked in a fryer but expensive for over $17 for the meal. On the plus side, the marionberry shake was really good!

Bobby S.

Yelp
Where do I start? I had quit the experience here. First I wasn't even greeted by workers. Second there was a drugged out homeless man out front by the entrance. Once I ordered that's when it all began togo downhill. I really wanted an expresso milkshake but inside I got cheated out of my medium and got a small inside my medium cup. And my burger was burnt. And if you want Lemonade just order a sprite... Honestly if you want to try this place stick to the onions rings and French fries. And the place was filthy and needed a good clean. El jefe was next door and poppin maybe try that place

Ricci S.

Yelp
Love Mikes's. So happy for the location in Tigard. They have excellent food and offer gluten free buns which I appreciate. Ice cream, milkshakes, burgers, all great.

Charlie T.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to a Mike's Drive-In. We stopped by after dinner to get a soft serve. I got a half strawberry/vanilla soft serve in a cooler with a cup. The price was very reasonable at $1.50, and the amount was generous. The soft serve was delicious and satisfied my sweet tooth craving. It was pretty quick to get as it's soft serve.

Odulami B.

Yelp
Great little burger spot of 99 in Tigard. In the Era of heavy, $18 fast serve burgers, Mikes offers a fresh, nostalgic atmosphere with great tasting food. The staff is very friendly and the order turn is in line wirh expectations. The internal music playlists crystallizes the old fashion theme. Great for younger generations or a date night that won't break the bank.

Mike F.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to see Mike's come to the westside, I was not disappointed either. The place was very busy so orders took a bit longer than I would prefer. The staff was very friendly, but improvement could be made to wipe down used tables even when it is busy. We really enjoyed our food, I had the chili burger special, we also got fried mushrooms (totally loved) and the pickle spears were awesome. The place is otherwise clean (except the tables) and bright inside. Parking tip there is more parking on the east side of the building which you may not see if you enter off hwy 99 versus taking a turn on the street behind them. I do hope to see the pastrami burger at some point, this is what I really want :). We will visit again for sure.

Ana R.

Yelp
A Portland metro area classic! Food is always good and cooked to your desire. My favorite is a plain cheeseburger (I usually add ketchup and mustard) with onion rings. The soft serve is so good too! Service is amazing and attentive. Store is always clean and has a number of different kinds of seats. Accessible as well!

Yelp
Tried to order online then pick up, but the website wasn't working. Husband ordered in person and was told he'd have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to get the food. Yikes!?! He waited and got the food in about 30 minutes. The person at the counter said the reason it took so long was because they were slammed with DoorDash and Uber Eats orders. Regardless, he ordered deluxe cheeseburgers with fries on one, and tots on the other. When he got home, it turned out that they misunderstood cheeseburgers for bacon burgers. (?) It was okay, but it wasn't what he told her. She charged him for bacon burgers. I had tots which were fine...you can't mess them up too badly. The fries however were not to his liking, and were icy cold. Sadness. We had hoped to find a good burger place in Mike's, something to replace the Stanich burgers we used to love. It was not to be.

Andrew A.

Yelp
I was taken back by the looong wait on a Thursday afternoon: 23 minutes! Overall, a decent, but uninspired, old school cheeseburger. Dark boring cheddar, yawner bun. You won't find anything interesting here. Decent value though especially the delicious fries for under $3. Friendly service.

Bruce M.

Yelp
I'm pretty tolerant of mediocre food and service, but my experience at Mikes Drive-In in Tigard this evening pushed me to write this long and not great review. I stopped in for the first time to try Mikes. While waiting to order, I noticed that they had a "Senior Burger" and meal. For about $8 ($4 less then the regular basket). I'm 66 so I thought, why not? And ordered it. I got a chocolate cone instead of a cookie. I also ordered it to go but changed my mind and ate it in the restaraunt. Well, that was a bad choice. I have never had a worse burger! It was even worse than the "basic" burgers at McDonalds or Burgerville which are not all that bad. The patty was literally 1/8" thick (see photo). Like it had been mashed with a 10lb weight. And it was tough and chewey. To be honest, I wasn't sure it was even beef. And the bun and sauce was just a mess. Ok, that said, perhaps it's because it's was the "Senior Burger". I get that they can't just charge me less for the same burger. And I would be ok with it if it was a little smaller than a regular burger, but it was just awful. The fries were OK. Very light seasoning and salt, but I guess some like them that way. But thats not all.. The chocolate cone was OK, but they filled it such that it was a LOT wider than the cone itself. I had to eat it in a BIG hurry to avoid dripping. The napkin holders were terrible also. Out of about 8 of them, only 1 had napkins coming out the top. All the rest required the customer to dig around with their fingers to get a napkin out. The holders are not spring loaded and maybe the napkins were too big? Not sure. But I gave up and opened the lid of mine so I could wipe ketchup off of the same fingers.... Maybe the regular burger is better, but Mikes needs to asses the operation on several fronts to tempt me back.

Carrie M.

Yelp
Awesome! Hubby and I just wanted something quick and good for my lunch hour. Hit the spot! They were busy and still friendly. Restaurant was clean. That fry sauce!

Mitch L.

Yelp
I'm giving a 5 star because their current average of 2.5 is nowhere reflective of my experience. The complaints about Mike's seem to center around long wait for your food, which they have a sign that says they only fire your food once you order. Also I saw one person say the staff was subtle racists, but as an Asian I didnt get any negative vibe. The people seemed very nice. Onto the actual food. Chocolate espresso oreo shake - excellent. Just the right texture not crazy thick and impossible to drink, oreo chunks not getting stuck in the straw. Walla Walla tillamook buger - very good - onions carmelized nice and sweet, generous amount but not overloaded. Tots, hot and fresh, cooked just a slight hair lighter than I typically like but very good. Overall if you're looking for driveinn food and you're in the area, i recommend it.

Yelp
Driving by I spotted this little place, and decided why not. It was great, much larger menu than I expected. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger basket, it took a few to get, but they put it together fresh, so it was worth the short wait. It was very moist, the fries were perfect. Not a very big dining room, but we got lucky and found a table. Liked the background music, current with some oldies thrown in, not very loud. The place was very clean. Than to top it off, the 99 cent soft serve was not only creamy, but it was gigantic. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Yelp
We stopped by Mike's in Tigard on our way to the theater. I was excited to see that they were opening a location closer to the west side of town. We use to travel occasionally to the Milwaukee location. The new locations has indoor, outdoor seating and during the summer they have walk up service. They have a small parking area so depending on the time of day you might need to park at the movie theater parking and walk over. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger basket, you get your choice of fries or tots a drink and cookie. I could not help myself I also added a chocolate soft serve cone, it was huge! My son ordered the deluxe cheeseburger basket with tater tots. You get a choice of side dipping sauce. The fries are shoe string style. We decided to eat inside, they have plenty of indoor tables. The burgers were solid and well put together with your choice of fresh onions or grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. The staff is very pleasant. When they first opened they had a lot a new employees and much like new business they had some growing pains. But today we had a great experience and really enjoyed the food.

Emilio L.

Yelp
I've eaten at a different location of theirs before and really liked it. Everything about the other one was what this one lacked. The staff cared more about dishing gossip and playing slap and tickle than catering to their customers. A simple burger and fries order shouldn't take 20-25 minutes to complete for a fast food chain. Multiple times I saw people check orders (that seemed to be complete) but not call out the order number. Not till some other worker came over to those did they start to get called out. No changes made to them or things added. I guess it simply was not the other job to call out orders. I won't be coming back to this location. $15 for a 25 minute wait and simple burger, nah. I'll go to McDonald's or burger king.

Leti N.

Yelp
The food is so tasty! My favorite is the fish and chips! All of the workers here are so kind!! Every time we come here we get the best customer service.

Michael M.

Yelp
I always liked Mike's Drive-in. I used to go to the one in Milwaukee and always got great burgers and awesome service. Same at this restaurant. Great food and very friendly customer service. I took one of my son's with me and he absolutely loved the place!

Victoria K.

Yelp
Typical fast food place that was recommended to us when we were standing in line at In N Out. Mikes is hard to miss with the giant arrow pointing to the shop. You can order inside and sit down or order outside at the windows to-go. Here is what we tried: 1. Onion Rings: LOVE! The batter isn't super thick and I love the flavor 2. Clam Strips: Mostly batter so I couldn't really get past anything with that taste 3. Chicken Strips: good, not great 4. French fries: typical, but I love how thin they are! Burgers: 1. All American Steak Burger with Cheese: this was a bit messy, but what burger isn't. For the "steak" part, I couldn't tell a difference so I probably wouldn't pay more just for this one. 2. Jalepeno Burger: delicious, but typical. The heat just wasn't there. So I was slightly disappointed. Soft Serve: YES YES YES! Get this cheap dessert for only 99 cents. During the seasonal time we got the Pumpkin and it is by far the best ice cream or soft serve I have ever had. I come back just for this sweet treat! Overall it was good, not great or epic. But if I was in a crunch- I would come back. I do however LOVE the soft serve! Absolutely a must. The workers are also great which is what bumped from a 3 to a 4 star review!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
thank you for the hard lesson but it has been learned. tips will be now given for the last order placed if at all. I ordered two burger baskets. I mushroom burger and your burger that comes with an egg on it. I got one soft drink the burger that supposed to have the egg on it didn't have an egg so I paid extra for an egg for no fucking reason good to know do not come to you for an actual order of food and if I do, don't leave a damn tip because the order probably won't be right. Have a great da

Yelp
Mike's in Tigard. Wow for a place that gets such critical reviews it sure is packed all the time every time you go. Its still new and to me the food is way better than at other locations. No badd habits and no looking for ways to cut corners. Yet stay tuned. They have a beautiful outside wall up window where you order and take your food back to your car or one of the outdoor tables. This has not caught on here yet. Maybe it's the weather but even in the end of summer and fall Tigard people just don't seem to eat outside. So this makes the time and yes I mean tiny indoor seating area hot real estate. Add in that Tigard people don't seem to bus their tables and leave the table a mess. It makes for some standing around as the staff is busy making and serving food creating more bussing needed. Plus almost every time Tigard people seem to think it's some sort of fine dinning. You know the crowd. I ordered pickles on the side and extra tomato and pepper jack cheese... Ahyy gvolt. Its fast food. Oh and the already had to start charging for sides of sauces because of free greed. Give me it it's free. The food is better than most Mike's and the service is supposed to be mainly outside It's always been pretty quick. Its the Ambience created by the other less than stellar customers you have to watch out for.

Darren O.

Yelp
So kind of shocked at the bad reviews. A couple were bad because of big groups in front of them- which is not necessarily the restaurants fault. We came during dinner hour and they were busy but not crazy busy. The guy taking our order was knowledgeable and helpful. He made good suggestions too. I ordered the double Jalapeño Chipotle burger. Literally a perfect burger tonight. Great flavor- burger cooked medium, juicy, cheesey, and spicey but not crazy. Excellent onion rings- great with ranch and fry sauce. Milkshakes are thick and rich. The huckleberry Sundae had huckleberry ice cream and sauce. Really good. Btw- they have grape Kool-aid ice cream. Tastes just like it. Great job!

Ruth F.

Yelp
Love Mike's burgers and milkshakes. They make real burgers with all of the additions, such as tomato, lettuce, onions, etc. And of course you can ask to not have these things on your burger if you choose. Their french fries are always hot and crisp and their milkshakes are absolutely amazing.every time I've been in the service has been outstanding. Always with a smile and very polite. The ambience is cute and classic. Old style burger joint. Support small and local businesses.

Marc F.

Yelp
Maybe I didn't eat you Quite as often as I could have And maybe I didn't review Quite as good as I should have If there's a ground chuck burger-fest That's an instant impulse buy You were always on Mike's Drive You were always on Mike's Drive And maybe I didn't Halibut All those hungry, hungry times I guess I never Huckleberry Now I'm happy at lunchtime Onion Rings I should have shared some I thought were exclusively mine You were always on Mike's Drive You were always on Mike's Drive Sing me Sing me that Willie Nelson rhyme And give me Give me one more classic diner To take me back in time They'll keep you satisfied

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Mike's burgers is an Oregon classic similar to another brand that won't mention out of courtesy fresh meat. Not frozen delicious 100% local product they do as much as they can farm to store as they can when everything is available that way especially around the summer. You notice the vegetables are even fresher than normal fresh ,also I've never had a wrong order made the burgers and everything I've ordered from them. I've been class act and my son and them love the ice cream unfortunately I can't partake cuz of medical reasons, but I hear the ice creams are really good and I recommend them all the way.

Richard H.

Yelp
Service is shotty and slow. Mistakes even if they are super slow. It's 11 am and they don't have things organized. They have been open since 10am. I ordered and the receipt says 11:05. When I received my order it was 11:32, and no shake. When I arrived the staff was yelling in the back not about food, about some BS in their lives. Why are there two orders still waiting? I came close to asking for a refund but people kept coming in to order. I finally got everything and the first thing I grabbed was the fried mushrooms. I love those all the way home with my takeout. All gone before arriving. Next is pastrami burger. Very good. Little cool just because I drove all the way home and put away the groceries I had purchased before stopping at Mikes. Then the coleslaw. Nice. The shakes are very good. I currently get chocolate banana. Secret is to mix in a bit of bourbon. Just wonderful. Location: right on 99 with parking on the east side. Facility: drive in style with small sit down area inside. Service: slow and not to good throughout the staff, front and back. Second time here, second time order errors. Food: Yes, a great menu and the items I had so far are delicious. Can't wait to try other items.

Little C.

Yelp
All of these 1/2 star reviews. You wanna be judgemental, the worst you can give is a 3. Be honest with yourself. This the best damn chicken strips I damn ate in years. Imagine moving from the West Coast to middle America like I did, dry desolate and flavorless. You move back, and this Drive In classic little spot where you could find yourself after a highschool game or baked on a Friday has a 2.5 on yelp? What in the hell? Nah cause fr, yall must be eating God's chicken strips you think this place isn't worth dealing with some attitude anyways. Those are probably the sons and daughters or nieces that own that place, and even if not, the food is worth having a not kiss-my-ass unauthentic customer service experience. They're making great food, where you can sit outside and enjoy the air and grass to touch, and it's hot and ready. Like girl bffr. EDIT: ALSO IF EVEN THE HI-C MAKES MY MOUTH FEEL HYDRATED COMPARED TO HOW ASHY IT NORNALLY TASTES EVERYWHERE ELSE? GIRRRLLL THIS PLACE GOOD

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Delicious food service was pretty good in the atmosphere was fun! we had burgers and fries and milkshakes, and they were all delicious... definitely going back soon.

Scott H.

Yelp
I think it's been long enough that I can write an honest review. I grew up in Milwaukie so Mikes is life. I was so thrilled to hear one was coming to Tigard. The food is actually very good. I really enjoy the onion rings. The shakes are thick and flavorful. For some good fried and frozen foods this is definitely the place. However, the service is total amateur hour. My waits have varied greatly from the quotes on the online order. Items have been forgotten. Every experience has just been some level of disappointing. I'll head in back to the mikes on the east side. This is just not working for me.

Mo N.

Yelp
Great place love the food amazing diner style vibe. If you're craving a burger or some fish and chips or old fashioned ice cream cone this is where you get it.

Renee M.

Yelp
I was really happy to find out there was a location on the west side now. The location in SE Portland is so good. (Good food and very nice people.) This one, not so much. We got to the walk up area to order, since we were getting it to go. There are three windows. The first window had a sign that said next window please. I went over to the second window and stood for a while, nobody bothered to come open the window. I noticed a bell on the third window and rang it. A gal came to the window and was very rude. She said they are not taking orders at walk up and that I would have to go inside to order, which I did. (Would it kill them to put up a sign to that effect?) The gal inside was much nicer, but it still took forever to get my mediocre shake which was nothing like the Mike's in Portland. As we were leaving we noticed another poor soul walk up to the windows, waiting for his turn to be treated poorly. I won't be back unless I hear they got a new manager to turn this place around.

Bryon L.

Yelp
It's much better this time than the last go around. Unfortunately, the fries were pretty cold/not fresh again. The standard cheeseburger was good, and I only had a soda, so there's not much to add to a rating. Fries are a staple. Really, they should be focusing on making those right. Everyone deserves some slack when busy, but when you wait 20-30 minutes and still get cold fries, that's a let down everytime. I'd at least hope to get hot fries before getting the order.

Michael S.

Yelp
Called up Mike's hamburger stand for a lunch order. Ordered 2 Veggie burgers, 2 regular fries and 2 medium shakes. The total they gave me was $40.38. 40 dollars for two burgers, 2 regular fries and medium shakes? . The medium shakes were 7.95 and 8.95. What happened to the too expensive 5 dollar shake? We're done with Mike's. It was a nice run. The food is pretty good, but not at those prices. This food price gouging has gotten way out of hand.

Tony C.

Yelp
Good selection, but you'd have to really work card to make it even more confusing and inefficient to place an order and have it delivered.

Sarah A.

Yelp
Best burgers in town! Good variety of fresh made to order burgers, and they use Tillamook cheese! Their coleslaw is very good. When you get your burger in a basket you get to choose coleslaw or a cookie. Milkshakes and ice cream are fantastic as well with 30 different flavors to choose from.

Bennette I.

Yelp
When I heard that Mike's Drive-In offered a SW Tigard location I knew that I needed to go. I went with my son who always enjoys a classic burger. The entire vibe is old school hamburger joint with a gallery of photos from the original Mike's in SE Portland. The man behind the counter was easy going, helpful and speedy. We ordered the Mike's Special and the Mushroom and Swiss burger baskets. Each come with two sides - lots of offering here! We also went for a classic cherry coke. Service was quick and we found a table easily. We agreed that this classic burger basket hit all the high points - juicy meat patty, melty cheese and all the fixins made the burger hard to eat...but a messy burger with juice dripping down your hands means that is it legit!! We both committed to coming back to try a milkshake!

Tamra D.

Yelp
Friendly service, workers seem to enjoy their jobs. Liked the variety of dips you could add plus all the side options. Good juicy burgers with fresh shredded lettuce, crispy pickles and requested grilled onions. We enjoyed it.

Sebastian K.

Yelp
After the Sellwood location closed, I wasn't sure how well Mike's was doing, but I am glad to see that they opened a location on the west side. They are famous for their soft serve cones, sold very cheaply (you can get one for .99 cents and they always run sales/coupons) but they also serve up classic American style drive-in food. It is served up hot, fresh and carefully prepared. This location is super busy because it just opened a bit ago, so the hype hasn't died down yet. As others have mentioned, I am a bit surprised by the poor reviews. There is definitely a wait because of how busy it is, but really this isn't a place to go for a fast meal. There are several fast food places nearby that will be much quicker- this is more of a place to go for a treat or special meal. Anyway- the food was good. I got two grilled cheese sandwiches, large order of fries, ranch to dip and a chocolate shake. Grilled cheese's were grilled just right, and also made with American cheese (don't get me wrong, I love cheddar, but nothing melts like American.) Chocolate shake was perfect, and the ranch was fresh and seemed like it was made in house. My only complaint is that the "large" fry was kind of small. The prices may seem a bit steep too, especially if you are feeding a whole family, but I was able to get away with not paying too much. I'll definitely come back to try out some of their options, especially the vegetarian burger (because I heard you can make it as a patty melt.) Their desserts are also cheap and they have lots of choices. I might just want to come back once the hype dies down some more.

Yelp
Just ate at Mike's, The food is pretty good, actually, but the service is something else. My orders seem to be bungled every time. This time I ordered two cheeseburger baskets. They handed me the two drinks but only wrote down one order. Then they told me to wait outside for it and it would be called out on the patio. Then, they attempted to deliver it inside but shelved it when no one claimed it. I knocked on the window to ask about it but was told to never knock because they have a doorbell customers are supposed to use. The patio register was out of service so I had to go back in to order the 2nd burger. Took 45 minutes to get two cheeseburgers.

Yelp
After being in lockdown for a week from the storm I was excited to venture out to Mike's to pick up my favorite. I ordered a Chili Burger with cheese. When I got home I opened the box to find less than 10 beans and zero cheese. I would have taken it back but its cold, raining, and its a 15 minute drive. I guess I'm going to have to stop going to Mike's if this is the quality of food.

Yelp
Genuinely was impressed by this place. Fried pickles weee phenomenal, shakes super thick and tasty, fries were nothing too exciting. Incredibly clean environment, SUPER affordable. Menu actually surprisingly large and exciting. All in all great ambiance and service and super fun friends, family, or date spot. Recommend and sad to see they don't have more stars!

Yelp
Screwed up my order multiple times, didn't get my refund, managers are terrible and employees are clueless. Food is neither bad nor good...better options elsewhere.

Yelp
It is ok, food is made to order, so prepare to wait. Food was good but a little on the high side for a burger joint.

Yelp
It sure was a BIG DEAL when Mike's announced it was coming to Tigard. After a very rocky start -staff training and supply issues- it seems things have quieted down and the place is humming along as it should. The lines are still there but not as bad. And I sure hope the reviews get better!!! We didn't have any issues with the wait time or customer service. Just one little hiccup: we ordered and paid by phone to do curbside pickup. When we arrived, we phoned to tell them we were in the pickup spot. The young man who answered said we had to come in and pay and then they'd bring our order out. This made absolutely no sense since we had already paid and the whole idea of "curbside pickup" was to avoid having to go inside. Fortunately, he put us on a quick hold to get some clarification. When he came back on, he confirmed that we didn't have to come inside and that our food was on its way out to our car. Whew, tantrum avoided!!! We ordered the pastrami sandwiches as they were specials at the time and in limited supply. I chose the Pastrami Melt ($9.50): thin sliced pastrami, Swiss cheese, 2 slices of tomato and mayo on grilled sourdough. Overall good flavor, a little too smoky for my taste but nice and lean with an excellent meat-to-bread ratio. I wish it had come with lettuce, pickles, and onions (I found out later you can request these items) and a little less mayo. My husband got the Pastrami Reuben ($9.50): thin sliced pastrami, Swiss cheese, topped with sauerkraut and special sauce on grilled rye bread. We both ordered the onion rings but they weren't exactly the ideal choice for getting home hot (or even warm) and sadly, they were cold by the time we got them home. Not Mike's fault. They are batter-fried and I prefer the breaded version anyway. We also chose to make our orders "baskets." For an additional $4.95 it included a 20 oz drink and a 2 ounce container of cole slaw, potato salad, or a cookie. The cole slaw was good if you like yours on the sweet side with lots of mayo. I'd try the potato salad next time. The menu includes burgers (of course), fish & chicken sandwiches, fries, tater tots, batter-fried mushrooms, clam strips, etc., and a very nice kids menu. Dessert is covered too. You can get a soft-serve for 99 cents all day long! They have various flavors of old-fashioned ice cream and waffle cones, sundaes and parfaits available. I'd definitely give Mike's another try.

Yelp
My husband and I were just at Mike's to order ice cream cones. I am 70 years old and I saw the lite open sign outside so I walked up to order 2 ice cream cones. No one was around in the parking lot. When I walked up to the window and placed my order I was told it was only for pick up orders. I walked around and.went inside and.got my cones. Meanwhile my husband was the truck watching the personnel in the back. They were chewing tobacco and spitting it into rockstar cans. About three employees were joking around, and.one.male.employee with long hair was swinging it round and.around and shaking his hair everywhere. This.is.shocking and unacceptable behavior. If I owned this business all these people would be fired on the spot. They do not deserve their jobs I'm giving this restaurant a 2.star.review !

Yelp
They're wait times can be a little long but I like their products so I don't mind. Can't beat .99 cent ice cream cones!!! Sometimes the seasonal ice cream flavors are very good as well. Their happy hour has good prices and certain time of the year they have family nights on Tuesdays, where you can get really good deals. Try a 2 flavor swirl cone, you'll like it!!

Yelp
Better than 2 but not a 4. One burger was burnt but second was good. Fries were crisp. Shakes were very good. Service needs some improvement. Shouldn't need to wait 30 minutes or more. Will try again and see if rating stays the same.

Yelp
We came last night for the grand opening. Despite being totally slammed (there was an hour before we ordered and then another hour wait for our food), the staff was all very friendly and eager to help. The chicken strips were great, fries nice and salty, and my kiddos loved their free soft serve as a part of their grand opening. We will definitely be back when the lines die down! It's nice and new/clean, but still has an old school vibe. Love it!
