Yelp
Mike's is in an unassuming plaza off of Hwy 6. We came in around 11:40am on a Sunday, surprisingly no line. Ordered 3 lbs of crawfish, combination plate of 3 fish and 6 shrimp, sausage & shrimp fried rice, and fried alligator.
Fried fish & shrimp: fish was nicely fried with cornmeal, decent amount of seasoning. The shrimp was good but needed more salt.
Sausage & shrimp fried rice: pretty comparable to a fried rice you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. You can see the scallions & egg, and taste the soy sauce in the rice.
Crawfish: I think the price was 7.99/lb? Spicy and plenty of garlic, so taste was on point. In our 3 lbs, there were like 4-5 that we had to toss out. A good number of crawfish were tinyyy which feels bad.
I think the price point at Mike's is decent and they have a good selection of other stuff. We got lucky that there wasn't a line when we arrived, then as we were eating, the (what seems to be the church) crowd came in.
I would say a big reason for the rating is how long it took to get our crawfish, we ordered around 11:45am and didn't get crawfish until 1:01pm (based on my photo timestamp), which is wild because there were only two couples ahead of us that were waiting for food. Seems like they didn't start boiling until after we ordered, or even another they batched up a couple folks' orders after us. Not sure if they're trying to batch/time it to be more economical, but getting crawfish more than an hour later is a terrible experience, especially if different people in your group are getting their food much earlier (20 minutes to get fried rice, 40 minutes to get fried fish & shrimp, 70 minutes to get crawfish).
I give Mike's Seafood 3 fruits of the sea, out of 5.
