A famed brewer's industrial-cool bar offers rare tap & bottled beers alongside upscale pub grub.
"Mikkeller Bar, SF’s outpost of the cult-favorite brewer, hosts a bottle share in their Tivoli sour room, a chance to taste all of their spontaneously fermented beers at once." - Caleb Pershan
"Provided that you like beer and people, Mikkeller Bar is a good place to check out after work if your office is near the Tenderloin. They have over 40 beers on tap and more bottles to choose from, it’s big and open inside with tables for groups and a lot of seats around the huge bar, and like Cheers, there aren’t many windows to see it change from day to night outside. Unlike Cheers though, Mikkeller has a large food menu with things like sausage sandwiches and mountains of fries. The mussels are good, too, but if you just want to drink that’s fine. Just make sure you leave before someone starts breaking the fourth wall or you hear a laugh track." - Will Kamensky
