The Best Restaurants Near The Eiffel Tower - Paris - The Infatuation

"French food gets a slight New Mexican makeover at this lively restaurant that walks the line between fine dining and bistro. It’s where you should bring someone who’s a small plate skeptic and wants their own entrée. Start with the fish of the day topped with crispy corn nuts in a bright leche de tigre, followed by a rack of lamb subtly kissed with hatch chile. Even the vegetarian dishes don’t feel like afterthoughts, like the celery root that’s roasted until caramelized before being bathed in a curry-spiked cream sauce with capers and herbs. The best time is lunch, when the atrium-like façade fills the dining room with light even on the greyest Paris afternoon, and the two- and three-course prix fixe (€27-€30) is an absolute steal." - emily monaco, sophie friedman, sara lieberman

"An American chef who was born in New Mexico, Justin Kent honed his skills with the likes of Alain Passard and David Toutain. His dinky neo-vintage bistro couldn’t be more bang on: white marble and oak counter, parquet floor, light wooden tables, vintage green velvet wooden armchairs. International and Parisian bistronomic influences happily rub shoulders in the kitchen: fritters of chorizo and sweet potatoes, Greek yoghurt; lamb chops, emulsion of sweetcorn, risotto of spelt; creamy delight of celeriac with white chocolate, ice cream and meringues." - Michelin Inspector

Milagro - Review - 7th Arr. - Paris - The Infatuation

"French food gets a slight New Mexican makeover at this lively restaurant that walks the line between fine dining and bistro. It’s where you should bring someone who's a small plate skeptic and wants their own entrée. Start with the fish of the day topped with crispy corn nuts in a bright leche de tigre, followed by a rack of lamb subtly kissed with hatch chile. Vegetarians who've spent their Parisian vacations ordering some variation of a "market vegetable plate" always have at least one choice of starter and main, and at Milagro, those dishes don’t feel like afterthoughts. Celery root is roasted until caramelized before being bathed in a curry-spiked cream sauce with capers and herbs. The best time to go is at lunch, when the atrium-like façade fills the dining room with light even on the greyest Paris afternoon, and the two- and three-course prix fixe (€27-€30) is an absolute steal. Eating this well, in this neighborhood, for this price? So rare it might as well actually be a miracle." - Emily Monaco

I came to Milagro one night with my husband, and this was definitely the highlight of our week in Paris. Upon walking in, we were charmed by the tasteful modern yet warm and welcoming decor with just the right amount of character. The restaurant had roughly ~15-20 tables, just the right size. We opted to sit at the bar - in my experience as the daughter of a French chef-owner, this is the best way to interact with the staff. We ordered as apetizers the Salade de poulpe (tomates anciennes, ananas grillé, condiment thaï) and Pastèque (stracciatella jambon de wagyu, pistache, vinaigre de grenade). As mains the Côtelette d'agneau (caponata, ricotta, jus) & Aubergine fumée (tomates cerise rôties, houmous de lentilles, feta). And last for dessert, Tarte chocolat (cardamome, crème fraîche). When I say everything was perfection, it truly was. You were actually able to taste every ingredient and the way it was prepared in the dish. For example, the salade de poulpes, was perfectly paired with the grilled pineapple — and you can actually taste that the pineapple was grilled. My husband loved the côtelette d’agneau and I was blown away by my smoked aubergine. The way the smoke paired with the lentil houmous and the perfect tenderness of the aurbergine, I am still craving it to this day — 2 weeks later back in Canada. The dessert, was the cherry on top of a perfect meal. The chocolate tarte just melted in your mouth perfectly balanced with the cardamon and crème fraîche. The thing that really blew us away, was the kindness and generosity in hospitality that the owner (Justin) and his staff provided. They welcomed us in with open arms and hosted us like we were old friends. I can’t speak highly enough of our experience at Milagro. If you are still reading this review, do yourself a favour and make a reservation and treat yourself!

We had lunch on a weekday. My husband ordered the set lunch with pumpkin salad and pork ribs. I ordered the cod fish. The food was great. I enjoyed the salad as the pumpkin was sweet and the grapes and burrata cheese added flavours. The cod fish was light and cooked to a nice texture. As for service, the waitress got annoyed when I asked her if they had orange juice. At first she said non and just pointed her fingers to the drinks menu. But then she was able to get me one bottle of orange juice. She didn’t smile and seemed not that pleasant. I guess this is Paris and we occasionally get service like that. Overall, not the best or the worst experience for our first time in Paris.

I cannot give an accolade high enough for this eatery. Just book in advance and go! The food is flavourful, wholesome and beautifully presented without being fussy. The atmosphere is bistro and sophisticated while comfortably informal. We just loved our evening here. Was fabulous before going to Aura Invalides.

You have to try this place, absolutely mind-blowingly good! My wife said it was the best octopus salad and pork ribs she’s ever had in her life. We couldn’t believe how tender and flavorful the pork was. The service was also amazing: he was so attentive and even gave our kid some drawing materials to keep her entertained. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and we left completely satisfied.

I had high expectations because of the excellent reviews (4.8 stars), but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The food was fine but not outstanding. I ordered the steak and duck breast, and both were a bit dry compared to what I expected. The service was another issue: one waitress (blonde, petite, wearing a blazer) treated us noticeably differently from other guests, and the dishes took too long to arrive — about 30 minutes between the starter and the main course. While waiting for the main dishes, we were very hungry and expected some bread to be served, but it only came after we specifically asked. Even then, the attitude felt unfriendly. I also ordered what I thought was a glass of red wine (around €14), but instead we were served an entire bottle, which felt like a misunderstanding that could have been clarified. At the end, the bill included an option to pay service fees. Although it wasn’t mandatory, we still paid — but I regretted it, as the service did not justify the extra cost. We ended up spending around €200 for this meal. Honestly, for the same amount I could have enjoyed several much better experiences at smaller restaurants nearby. The food itself was decent, but not as amazing as the reviews suggest. Overall, the service and value did not meet expectations.

We hadn’t planned on dining at Milagro and were aiming elsewhere, but Paris had other plans. Fully booked tables led us to this charming bistro. The meal began with their signature broccolini with marinated egg yolk. The catch of the day was fresh, and the lamb rack delivered on flavour and finesse. But the real star of the evening was the mussels. Perfectly plump and swimming in a broth that demanded spooning to the last drop, the mussels were so good we ordered a second round. It was their final serving, and the staff joked that we were having mussels for dessert. Honestly, we didn’t mind! Milagro lives up to its name—a small miracle of a meal, found when we least expected it. Would return in a heartbeat.

What an exceptional evening! We stumbled in after a long day in Reims and then driving into Paris late. We were looking for a delicious dinner near our hotel and found the excellent reviews of Milagro. I’m so glad we did. We were lucky enough to come during their second seating where it’s much more likely to get a walk-in table. We were seated by the lovely owner and immediately knew it was the perfect choice. The food was amazing. The drinks were incredible. But the company, that was absolutely exceptional. The owner and staff are friendly (not overly so, not in a fake way, like old friends) but the absolute highlight was tiny Tofu, le grande dame of the establishment. When you pay them a visit (and you absolutely should), be on the lookout for her tiny highness and give her an ear scratch (or leave her a few crumbs to pick up later). The ceviche and beef tartare were exceptional and incentive. The beef and duck mains were out of this world. We are considering going back just to try the lamb! Dessert was a delight. It was the best Negroni I think we’ve ever had and while a gin and tonic may seem to be an easy beverage to craft, theirs was a perfect ratio and delicious ingredients. It could not have been a better first night in Paris for us.

We had a reservation and were promptly seated at one of the best tables in the house. The food was nothing short of fantastic. Unpretentious, well presented, and most importantly extremely delicious. We cleaned every plate the kitchen sent out to us. Will return on next trip. The staff was amazing and incredibly friendly and warm — which in Paris is not always a given. Prices are fair considering the quality of the food and ingredients. 5 stars!
