Milano's Pizza

I ordered the 8 piece Milano’s Chicken Wings Mango Habanero Flavor Well Done and it was soooo good I should’ve gotten the 12 piece instead of I had know how good they were. I could’ve eaten the most they offered which is 24 pieces and devoured them all😮‍💨🔥😁🥰

8/7/22 Update: Today Google told me that I've been here 69 times and I laughed because that number is WAY OFF! I have been coming to this establishment since I was a kid- what was coveted at pizza night for me as a child has now become a tradition in my own home! I had to share how good they are, I think I've been keeping it to myself because I want to protect my favorite place! Their pizza is delicious and is the BEST pizza on the Southside hands down, in my opinion. My sister who has relocated out of state commented to me there is no pizza she's met YET that beats Milano's! Their menu choices extend well beyond pizza to sides, dinner plates, pasta, sandwiches and more; just recently I asked them for a custom pasta request and it was so good (baked ravioli Alfredo- yum)! They are a long standing family establishment in the local community with a great reputation. Still keep the charm of a small local family pizzeria but manage to keep up with the demand. And they know their longstanding customers and take pride in their relationships. When I call I instantly know who I'm talking to and we usually start chatting it up! A very popular place on Friday nights, but Saturdays seem to be a bit calmer. Ok now I've told y'all about the (not so)secret gem on Western; go check them out!

I wouldn’t say the food was bad but it was different. Not quite to my tastes. I don’t think I will go back but if the food was being served at a party or business meeting, I’ll eat it. The sauce was salty. The crust was different. It was sorta chalky. Reminds me of almond flour crusts that people on Keto eat. Finally the price seems off. We paid $22 for a medium thin with 2 toppings.

I just had Milanos for the 1st time a few months ago (despite having lived next door to it for a year) and was so impressed! I ordered tonight & tried their margherita pizza since that is my favorite. It was a joke & totally NOT margherita pizza or anywhere close to what their menu describes. Even my total sausage & cheese south sider boyfriend commented on it when he saw it & knew that's not what a margherita pizza is supposed to look like. For spending $30 and waiting 2 hours, I was pretty disappointed. I'll still give them my business for normal pizza, but not without considering other places 1st & definitely not without a bit of hesitation. Here are some pics... WHERE'S THE BASIL??! lol

The food prep workers don't wear gloves. If you're going to have your kitchen in full view of the public Wplease FOLLOW THE FOOD RULES!!!!

One of the best pizzas in the area, definitely a must try for anyone not in the area or new to the area.

Extremely disappointed! I've been going here since 2003 ... Tonight the pizza was salty on the one half. I wasn't going to complain, until I realized they also messed up the spaghetti AND GARLIC BREAD! REALLY?? I EXPECTED NOODLES WITH EXTRA SAUCE. They gave me old noodles with tons of cheese melted on top! I didn't order that! They also put tons of salt on my garlic bread! Pissed!

We've been customers of Milanos for years. We probably order twice a month, if not more. We love their pizza. But tonight I ordered a couple extra ingredients on our sausage pizza, fresh tomatoes, fresh garlic, basil and onion. The pizza we received was completely wrong, with canadian bacon and pepperoni and ham, along with disgusting green olives and something that resembles spinach. The wait time was 1-1/2 hours. When I called to let them know we had the wrong pizza they insisted on "seeing the wrong one" before they would send out another pizza or give us a refund and it would take another hour. They insisted a driver come out, pick up the pizza, then they would make another for me. After being a loyal customer for like five years or more, they didn't have the decency to trust to send a pizza and pick up the wrong one? I will never order from them again. They lost a good customer today.

Crust!! We love their crispy crust. Although the phone lines may be busy, the pizza is worth the wait. We usually order a thin sausage pizza and fried buffalo wings: 8 years and no issues to report. Pro tip: order ahead and grab a drink across the street. You won't be disappointed.

II've been coming to this pizza place since the 1980's and this place MUST be under new management . The stuffed pizza is NOT the same at all. The sauce taste like thick canned tomato paste, the vegetables and other ingredients has decreased significantly in quality and quantity. This pizza is no longer for me. It's sad because I grew up eating here for so long. They could have at least posted a sign stating it's under new management or something to let the regular customers know of these changes. I'll have to find a new pizza spot now. I wish the original owners well, they will be missed.

Not sure what the pizza taste like, but the prices should be updated on Yelp. Small cheese 8.75 on Yelp, 12.75 on the website. Wow!!!

Pizza is amazing. Crust cooked to perfection. However, when I order, (3rd time) the ladies when taking orders get it wrong! They need to repeat order, yes I say it twice. I picked up tonight, pizza was wrong. Order showed she erased/plus she admitted what she did, order place 6pm, 9/24. Male employee, unbelievable with customer service made things right. My suggestion, take your time, open box and make sure order is correct.

Best Pizza on Western ave in Beverly. They have been consistent for the 36 years I have lived in the neighborhood.

Best take-out pizza in the area. We've tried every pizza place around us and Milano's is hand down the favorite in Beverly/ Morgan Park for my family.

I haven't had this pizza in over a decade. After returning back to the city I was happily surprised to find this pizza is just as delicious as it was then. Great sauce on a crispy not so thin crust. Love it!

This was my favorite pizza growing up, came back and nothing has changed. Still the same high quality ingredients and always a free liter of soda.

For those of you who remember the original deep dish pizza places from the 70's and 80's, those with the huge ovens that you could put a small car into that produced pizza with that buttery, flakey crust, and one slice is so dense you have to cut it with a fork and knife, Milano's still does it the OLD WAY! ENJOY!

Great service and food only problem is that they don't open until 3:00 pm in the evening, not good.

I've been going to Milano's for well over 20 years. Their food has declined in taste and value. Recently I ordered a Baked Mostaccioli. It was disgusting. It was smothered in sauce and overloaded with cheese. A sight for sore eyes and not very appealing. Needless to say I will not order from there again.

ive been ordering pizza from here for 7 months with no problems!!!! until tonight the young lady who answered the phone profilied me... I order a veggie pizza for first time trying something new family size we picked toppings she told me my total and told me the wait time 30-35 I said ok and hung up...... she call me back because she really didn't believe or trust that I was ordering a pizza so I had a miss call twice because when she was taking my order you can tell she didn't believe I was ordering for real because if she could she would have ask me to pay over phone before they start making my pizza!!!!! but anyway I called her back and she asked did I want the pizza I just order I said yes once again she said 30-35 minutes wait time so I wait the time out and go to pick up the pizza and I get there guess what they didn't make my pizza because they didn't believe I wanted it what she stated bs you heard a black man voice on phone ordering a veggie pizza and you wanted me to pay for it first before you make it and thought I was gonna wait another 30 minutes after I get there to pay first the.y was gonna start making it .........I know bs when I see it .......no apology no type of anything for my inconvenience no nothing..........but it's cool's thanks for your customer service....but the pizza has been good in k ok ast but this the worst customer service I received in a long time

We were on a road trip heading East and wanted to stop for Chicago style deep dish cheese pizza and look no further!!!! The absolute kindest most generous people and the pizza was delicious! The cheese pull made me feel like an influencer! We have a dog with us and they also gave us a free water bottle for her!

Deep dish is consistently cooked just right. Worth the longer wait. Cheesy garlic bread very good but just doesn't come with sauce.

Great pizza always consistent. The chicken parmigiana dinner is fantastic too. Fries and wings are pretty decent also.

I will never forget the day my Greek g/f Terri Lynn took me to Milano's pizza for the 1st time! Best pizza I ever tasted. I had moved to Chicago from Mississippi in 1986, just a teenager trying to find his way in the music world. I can't wait to get back there and taste that again (the pizza) ;) Keep up the great work!

Milano's Pizza was just an average pizzeria, and I've tasted better. I ordered a large green pepper and Sausage pizza. The crust is cardboard like and thin. The toppings were sufficient. Unfortunately, this pizza was bland and it lacked sauce and flavor. The fries were delicious!

If you love cheese, order the Milano's Special. I ordered a small (10" diameter) with extra thin crust and the cheese was piled high and it was excellent. The tasty sauce was abundant, which made for a bit of a messy eat in my car. In fact, this pizza featured generous amounts of all the toppings (sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions) and all were high quality. There is no dining room here, so expect to enjoy your pizza elsewhere.

Grew up on this pizza and I'm happy to report that it still taste as good as it did before. The crust is buttery and flaky without that cardboard taste. The sauce is pretty good and the sausage is one of the best toppings. They use Italian sausage instead of regular sausage. I also want to add the customer service is usually chill and you get a free pop with every pizza. If your tired of Beggars and Waldo Cooneys I highly recommend you give Milano's a try. (Disclaimer) - the picture I took is filtered so it looks darker than it actually is. It's not burnt at all.

Milano's has been pumping out some of the best pizza on the south side for decades. They have great prices too, so stop going to Beggars to get your cheese fix! Milano's piles it on just as thick if not more & it's way more delicious! They have phenomenal deep dish (best ever imo), as well as really great thin crust & extra thin crust. I love to get the latter well done, personally. And joy for me-- they have some rarer toppings available such as artichokes, ricotta, meatballs, and fresh garlic! Tasty garlic bread with cheese, meatballs, pizza bread, and great baked pasta too. Their baked manicotti is oh so comforting. Try this place out if you haven't yet. It's a Beverly institution!

Not terrible, but the ratio of cheese and toppings seem to overwhelm the senses a bit, especially on an extra thin crust. The sauce is nothing special, too much salt. I'd have to try a few more combinations for a final verdict, so far only tried plain cheese and meat special. Disclaimer: My biased taste was formed by Rico's in Lansing which is still the best of all of southland to me.

I am beyond disappointed in my experience with Milano's. I heard good things about their pizza and wanted to try it out. I called them and they took my order and gave me an estimated time for delivery of about an hour and 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, I received a follow up call from them abruptly canceling my order saying they don't actually deliver to us because we are "on the other side of Dan Ryan Woods". My house is at 91st and Beverly. At no point in the initial phone call did anyone say that was outside of the delivery boundaries. When asked why they wouldn't deliver here, the person I spoke to said several times "We've had a lot of problems in that neighborhood". I mentioned it didn't seem fair to take our order and not tell us until 45 minutes later, but the person just said there was nothing he could do. To give them credit, about 5 minutes later they called back and said they would deliver to us after all. I asked them to explain what kind of "problems" they have "over there" and the person on the phone went on about all the times their drivers have been "robbed over there". I live next to the 91st Street Metra on a quiet street with zero problems, but it is clear that Milano's has a preconceived notion of the safety of our neighborhood because we are on the "wrong side of the tracks". At that point, I obviously canceled my order because I do not want to support a business with these racist views of my neighborhood.

I have been ordering pizza form here for a while and I have never encountered horrible customer experience like I did today. My pizza was delivered cold and they forgot two items. We called to let them know and the person (Viri) that answered the phone was extremely rude to my husband, when I grabbed the phone she continued to be rude to me. She refused to answer the question on how they were going to accommodate us for the pizza being cold. According to her she called the owner and they responded as to they will not make another pizza for us to accommodate the cold one. I will not be giving them my business again!

Back with more South Side pride! Milano's has always been my gold standard for Chicago deep dish, but their thin crust is nothing to scoff at. They have managed to create the perfect balance of dough, cheese, and sauce that I've yet to see outmatched. The no-frills restaurant doesn't have space for dining in and does not sell single slices, but that hasn't stopped my loyalty. You can expect to always be greeted warmly and see familiar faces at the counter and in the kitchen. This place is AWESOME, so definitely check them out. FYI, pick-up pizza orders come with a free soda!

The best pizza on the southside without a doubt. I can toss between Milano's and Phil's in Bridgeport but Milano's wins out for me. I once went to another pizza place that was recommended to me and I legit felt like I cheated on Milano's. I came in with flowers and a box of chocolate to make up. Do yourself a favor and get a lab authentic Chicago tavern style pizza from here.

I don't even necessarily care for deep dish pizza but I love theirs and they also have killer cheese sticks. Plus getting a free RC is a W in my book.

Milano's has been a favorite of mine for decades. So good, especially the stuffed. They are truly the best stuffed pizza in Chicago. Their thin crusts are really good as well, just something special about the stuffed. It is perfect. The buttery crust, ever so sweet sauce and fresh ingredients. D-lish!

My whole family got sick after eating Milanos. This is the second time this happened, sorry to say I won't be going back. Because although it taste good it Makes my whole family sick every time.

Hands down the best pizza in the area. Although I can't vouch for show offs that do weird stuff to their pizza. If you are normal and like plain old cheese, sausage, pepperoni, standard veggies, etc., then Milano's is the place for you. Their deep dish (i.e., stuffed pizza) is very similar to Giordano's but better. Their thin crust is perfect and also comes with an extra thin option, if you're in to that. Rosangela's in EP is a close second.

Fantastic pizza place for my family. I got a free RC and Sprite with my pizza my darling wife is watching her figure and thought that getting a pineapple pizza would help my daughter enjoyed the cheese pizza perfect amount of sauce would recommend the thin crust

Welp I must say the crust taste like sand paper the crust literally has no flavor at all . I ordered a pepperoni and spinach and mushroom pizza and I received canned spinach definitely not fresh . Didn't really enjoy the pizza at all waste of $15.00

Great Za. I probably order this pizza 3-4 times a week. It's Super good. I normally get this pizza for dinner, but if I'm out of cereal, I'll get one for breakfast. Authentic imported Italian ingredients create a symphony of well balanced flavors that are unparalleled anywhere else on the south side.

We've been ordering Milano's since 1990 and have never been disappointed. since moving to Matteson we have tried other pizza joints doesn't compare to Milano's so we will be driving back to the city for pizza the cheese and sauce it's worth the drive to us. They've been providing great pizza on the south side for years. Love it

The food here is so delicious! The crust of their pizza is so thin, delicious, and has a very awesome different style. This place is one of the most visited pizza house. All of the food here on the menu is so delicious, worth the price, and worth trying again and again. The staff here is so friendly, helpful, and decent. They are working so fast and they will serve your order so quickly. You can checkout so fast. You will definitely enjoy the whole place because of the ambiance they have, the place is relaxing, and so welcoming. Such a great place to grab some amazing pizza and other comfort food. Will definitely visit here again soon when I have some free time. Will also recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Thank you Milano! Your place is so great! I'm so glad I came across a review that had mentioned Milano's Pizza! Hands down my new favorite pizza spot, I'm new to Oaklawn so coming across this gem is a win for me! They unfortunately can't deliver since I'm considered out of there range, they unfortunately called me an hour after I ordered the pizza to let me know that, but they didn't fail to make it up to me, pizza sauce is nice and tangy, we ordered stuffed pizza with some sides, they also gave me a free 2 liter for picking up! Will most definitely be back to order again! Way better then any of the pizza places I have tried around our area, most definitely blows Palermo's out of the water!

Wonderful staff. Food is always great and hot when it's delivered. They went above and beyond to fix the only 1/100 times we've ordered here mess up.

My families favorite Pizza spot !!! Always consistently tasty and on time. We stick to the sausage and pepperoni as we are simple people and have been happy every time for the last 10 years. Prefer delivery because the parking lot is small and gets annoying to navigate when they are super busy. Luckily they don't charge much to bring it right to my door.

Ordered pizza and wings 12/31 and the driver was 2 hours getting here. Upon arrival the food was cold. Called and spoke with the owner and was told she had to talk with the driver to see why he was late. What does that have to do with why our food was cold. The customer service way of doing business would have been to apologize and credit my account! The owner stated she needed to send a driver to pick up the food before issuing credit! How sanitary is that!! The driver came and in this COVID world we now live in had no mask on!

I've been a Beggar's customer for 25 years and lately it's been a hit or miss with them so I decided to give Milano's a try. Excellent phone etiquette, no hassle, pizza was hot at pickup. My family enjoyed it, wayyy better than beggars and about 3 dollars cheaper!!! Only problem is that the tiny parking lot can get packed. Bye bye beggars, hello Milano's.

Simply put.......THE BEST PIZZA AROUND! Yelp wants me to write more but I don't have anything more to say. They are the best..........period!!
