I am truly delighted every time I visit Mile High Cafe, which is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Idyllwild! It is (conveniently) located right next to Alpaca Coffee and my usual flow is to grab a bite to eat at Mile High then walk on over to Alpaca to grab a chaggaccino to go.
I've tried many of the menu options, which include both brunch/lunch classics, as well as a few Korean fusion dishes. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken on fire, the tuna melt, the kimchi Bloody Mary, and the teriyaki tofu.
This time around, I gave the beef bulgogi with fried rice a try and it was SO delicious. I loved the flavor of the marinated beef, which flowed harmoniously with the pan fried glass noodles. I also ordered a side of the house made kimchi, which complimented the flavors of the beef bulgogi as well.
This is a 5-star kinda spot! The only downside I experienced this time around was the timing of our meals coming it. We waited around 50 minutes, which is pretty unusual, as all other times I've visited, orders have come out pretty quick. I assume there must've been some understaffing in the kitchen. No biggie, I'm not mad about it.
Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend Mile High Cafe to any folks looking for a solid spot in Idy for some great food, impeccable vibes, and an overall wonderful experience!
