Milito's Mobil Gas Station

I have been a customer of Milito’s for about 30 years and I have yet to experience anything less than perfection regarding the professional, efficient, fair pricing, and a friendly attitude in terms of service on my current car which is a 21 year old Prius. Anyone who goes to Milito’s’s for the first time will return. They offer wonderful service at a fair price.

I needed to have a flat tire fixed. Militos repaired it in 20 minutes. They are very very nice and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend them and go back

Jay Jay is the best Don’t be fooled by the high price of gasoline because the maintenance and repair services for your car are very reasonable. Jay Jay and his crew are professional, expeditious and trustworthy. I’ve been taking my car to them for years. I’ve compared prices with my car dealership and other auto repair shops and Militos is often the best price. I don’t always know what’s wrong with my car, but I can trust Militos to give me honest advice.

Great car wash. For ~$20 + tip the interior clean and exterior wash is great. Crew always does a good job and will get you out of there quick.

Had a full detail on my son’s filthy 2014 BMW 328i. They did a superb job for a great price. This is a great value for the job they performed and in a timely fashion. I highly recommend their detail service.

Went in for a tire plug in a pinch and i was in and out within an hour. Great customer service and the plug has held up over a week in pretty bad driving conditions while we wait for a new tire to come in. Highly recommend and will use again

This place is the best! Saturday night, we had a tire issue. It was 5:45pm and it seemed that all standard tire places (Cassidy, Firestone, Etc) were either closed or were closing at soon and wouldn't take us so unfortunately, everyone said we were out of luck until Monday. I was so disappointed in all of them that they couldn't help us. What are we to do? Armando at Militos came to the rescue. When we called, he said, "bring the car right in. We'd be happy to help." He was so friendly and reassuring that we immediately felt at ease. When we arrived, they took care of it right away. We didn't have to wait, but we bought water inside of the station anyway thinking it would be a wait, but it was so fast! The whole crew there was so kind. They were so humble but so awesome - I want to shout it out that everyone should go here. Armando runs the place with pride as if he's the owner. If he's not the owner, they definitely should give him a raise! He is the best. Thank you!

If you ever need your car fixing from a nail in your tire to something bigger - ask for Jay Jay at Militos. I've been coming to Militos for the last 14 years and will keep coming back because they are honest, reliable and they do what they say. Jay Jay in particular has always taken great care of our cars. They never start a job without clearing the price for you and if something goes wrong, they will sort it out for you. In Lincoln Park, that's a rarity.

Gas station is fine, but car wash is consistently bad. I was here three years ago, and it was equally bad. It takes so little to actually wash a car well - I don't get why offer a bad service and risk your reputation.

CHECK YOUR BELONGINGS! I keep my pocket knife (supreme) in my car for convenience. I decided to get a wash and have the inside vacuumed out. Without thinking about it I drove off. A few days later I went to use said pocket knife and it was gone. I searched everywhere as it was a sentimental item and I'm throughly convinced that it was stolen from my car during the cleaning.

These folks scammed me good. Went in to get my brakes checked, they said the brakes were fine (they weren't and i had to go somewhere else after) and told me frantically that I needed xyz done NOW. under pressure i just said yes (my mistake) and they replaced things that they had replaced just a few months before that did NOT need to be replaced. Such as spark plugs which only need to be replaced every 18,000 miles minimum, which mine had maybe 500. In addition, my side mirror was taped on and I asked if they could look at it and just tell me how much it would cost to replace it. They proceeded to take the tape off and put screws in it without my permission or even telling me. There was no way to undo their damage and now I'm stuck with this mirror screwed in. You have to know EXACTLY what you need done and must be able to say no under pressure over the phone of someone making it sound like you can't drive your car away without xyz done.

Best car wash near me! They take great care of car and drive it through the wash for you. They have 3 options. I've done basic wash and inside and out. They towel dry and wipe the inside of your windows too!

Crooks.. go somewhere else if you want your car fixed. They're happy to take your money and not fix the problem.

Best place to have your car repaired and be treated well. Things get done. Imagine that!

YES, I do recommend this GAS station! The employees are VERY helpful and RESPECTFUL! The car WASH was easy and cheap. And the PRICE IS RIGHT at this STATION! I went to BP two weeks ago and was almost HOMELESS they charged so MUCH!

I drove here at 7:00 in the morning and the gentlemen there instantly asked how I could be serviced. Checked me in quickly and we got to business. I needed a fire plug and I was in and out in less than 15 mins. Thanks guys.

My girlfriend came here the other morning for a quick oil change. Plus side was that she was able to get out in about 30minutes. The staff was friendly and pretty efficient. The only reason we took 2 stars off was because it cost her $80 for a standard oil change?? Never heard of such a price, don't care if it's Lincoln Park. The dealership cost $65, and her usual place on Western and Irving Park only costs $35-40. The only reason she came here was because she lived close by and needed a change before a trip. At least she got a car wash out of it though they didn't wipe it down.

I can't say how LUCKY I am that I was referred here years ago. It's so hard to find a reliable and valuable mechanic for a foreign car that doesn't overcharge you for labor. I have an Audi Q5 2011 that I've been bringing in for over three years now. Millitos has been the most honest and caring man I have ever met and the fact that he's a mechanic makes it even better for my car. He gives me caring and valuable advice and knows being a single mother is hard enough and has never ever over charged me or suggested anything that I did not absolutely needed to get done. I'm lucky I was referred to him and I always refer him to anyone looking for an honest and caring mechanic who is skilled and reliable. He's a God send.

Thank you to Milito's for making the best of these challenging times with pickup and delivery of my vehicle...twice. I recently "visited" Milito's to have my brakes and filters replaced and oil change and when the car was first brought to me, there was a miscommunication and they did not complete the oil change portion. While it was really frustrating at the time, I appreciate that they took the car back, completed the work and brought it back to me. They quickly accepted responsibility, apologized for the oversight and made it right by completing the work and making up for the issue. They did a great and cost-effective job and look forward to visiting again soon.

Was able to bring my 2015 VW in last minute the customer service was amazing they really tried to fix my issue even after close while I wait.

Much more than just a gas station, it is so great having Milito's in the neighborhood. They have helped with several small car related questions & repairs and their car wash is great. Wonderful neighborhood business.

Milito's helped me during the cold snap this January. AAA was so busy and not able to help in a timely fashion. Milito's came within 15 minutes to jump start my car. I followed the technician to the shop and they replaced my battery and had me on my way in no time!

Stopped because of my overheating car. Staff was extremely friendly. They fixed it quickly for decently cheap and got us back on the road. George was quick, friendly, and very thorough. Thank you! I recommend stopping here for all your car service needs!

My cousin and I needed gas before we dropped off our U-haul! This a great location they have people who pump the gas for you! The man who pumped the gas was so polite and welcoming! We were in and out within 5 min.

In a perfect world you can research garages and towing services, get a recommendation or find the highest rated one, and call one up. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world and lately I seem to be encountering an expensive stretch of bad luck. When my car died at the emissions facility I had to quickly find a tow. I called one place and left a message, but never got a call back. This was the first place Google 411 gave me in my neighborhood so I went with them; over the phone they guessed it was likely my alternator or battery Augie, my tow truck driver, couldn't have been nicer! He got my car hooked up and was very conscientious about not damaging my car in the towing process. He also was kind enough to drop me and my cat at my house since we were both cold, hungry and cranky. He attempted to cheer up Riley, but she was having none of it. A few hours after I got home I received a call confirming that the alternator was fine, but the battery was shot. They said I'd be able to get my car in an hour. I was thrilled, given that my car didn't get to the garage until 2ish on a Saturday, I wasn't expecting them to look at it until Monday. The bill seemed expensive, but truthfully I had no point of reference. A quick search of the Sears website revealed that my battery was cheaper than theirs so I think I got a fair deal. I was a little nervous by the mixed reviews for Milito's, but I was thoroughly pleased with the positive and timely experience I had. I have been here in the past for gas and have nothing but friendly service.

Car totally dies in the middle of the street, wont jump, wont do anything and its Sat afternoon at 4PM....who you gonna call? Ghostbusters? Well, honestly, I was up sh** creek and needed it towed asap. I called a friend and she had referenced this place and said it was fair. I called them up thinking that they would be closed...nope, they had the tow there in less than 20 mins, car hooked up and all no problem....I got a call about an hour later saying that it was the battery and they changed it and it was ready to go. I have no idea about prices, but honestly the speed and convenience of this place was phenomenal. I really couldnt believe it. Total bill came to $228...I didnt think that was horrible for tow and all. I guess I was just happy to have my car back and it wasnt anything major, major....I would totally go back.

It is really hard to give an accurate rating for this place. The service, gasoline and inside clerks are all excellent and provide 5 star service. The car wash is a 2 star and always has been.The guys put little to no effort in getting my car any cleaner than the automated machine does, they figure their job is just to dry it off. I paid for a Premium wash to get off the salt and have the undercarriage sprayed to get off some of the winter road salt. The rims were not thoroughly cleaned and the mats were vacuumed but not cleaned at all. The inside was not wiped down at all so it was disappointing and I will go to my alternative $6 auto car wash from now on and I have a couple of places that I go if I really want it cleaned extremely well. The car wash crew would be fired if they put out the same effort level at any of my usual car washes, and they don't seem to care.

Milito's is the BEST! They are super friendly and always take care of me every time I go. The owner is so sweet and makes you feel like family. They also always give me a complimentary car wash. I trust them and know they always do what's right by the customer. Will continue coming here as long as I live in Chicago!

Fixed and diagnosed things that did not need fixed/were not the actual problem. Thank God I got a second opinion from another shop before I gave them even more money.

I had a flat tire earlier today and luckily this place was nearby when this happened. JayJay showcased such great customer service going the extra mile in getting me a new tire elsewhere in less than an hour. Such great friendly staff and would def come back if I ever need any repairs. Thank you again!

Good priced gasoline, good service. Car wash is terrific! Took my dirty-ass car in and they cleaned it sparkling fresh. Wash is discounted if you buy some gas.

Old school service. Came in asking for help refilling windshield wiper fluid (yes I know I should know how to do this myself!) and the owner helped me refill but diagnosed that there was an issue with the fluid line since it still would not work after the reservoir was filled to the brim. He cleaned the line, flushed out all the cr*p, and got everything up and running. Fixed a burnt out headlamp too. All with a smile and less than an hour. He explained clearly what needed to be done, and charged a fair amount (way less than the dealership). I love supporting local businesses with these amazing "old timers" who are no nonsense, get 'er done guys. Thank you!

Probably one of the best Car Washes I've been to I always bring my Porsche Macan GTS's here and get a better car wash than some of the more expensive places, the staff on top of that is so nice and friendly! I've been here in various exotics and they treat me and my vehicle so well! Shoutout to you guys for being the best at what you do!!!!!!!

Had no idea they'll pump your gas for you. ( I never use that but I guess if that's your preference its nice to know they will) but I did need tire air and they were very kind and did that for me after I gassed up.

I am super happy that I have found Milito's Mobil. The staff is thoughtful, efficient and honest. They explain everything throughly. I had an oil leak that another mechanic at Another place told me would cost $1000 to fix but at Milito's is was $359 and some change. They seem to be busy which is understandable since they are honest. I am relieved to have found this place.

So it had been a few months since I'd gotten my car washed. The poor thing was just caked in dirt around my tires. My boss is going to be riding with me this week, so I decided to spend the big bucks on the $15 wash. Is my car perfectly spotless? No. But does it look and smell clean AND I didn't have to spend a fortune? Yup. This is my new place for sure. BONUS: you can come back within 3 days for a free wash. Give this place a try, they're worth it!

Just stopped by to get some windshield fluid and everyone here so nice and propmt to help! They also oferred to help with putting it in my car! As a business owner myself, I felt I was take care of with lots of professionalism and dedication!

I stopped by Milito's to use their self-serve air pump as I had a low tire pressure light on. I needed to actually add air to all 4 tires, a task that I felt I should have been able to do without any issues. However, I seemed to be stuck on the first tire for quite some time, and not getting enough air into it and so on... Willy, who works at Milito's noticed my frustration and very kindly asked if I needed help. I said "yes please" and he took the air hose and proceeded to check and fill all 4 tires. Even when the air pump stopped($0.50 for so many minutes), and I went to feed the pump with another $0.50, Willy said, "don't spend any more money", and proceeded to open the garage door to pull out their garage air pump to finish the last tire. Willy provided awesome customer service and I very much appreciated his help. No wonder this local business has received so many positive reviews. I will keep Milito's in mind the next time my car needs repairs. Thanks again Willy!

Milito's is amazing! We stopped in to get air for our tires and they were very helpful and didn't charge us. We realized they had a full service option (unheard of these days) and a full service garage. We used the full service for gas on a cold rainy day - loved not having to get out of the car and only paid a little more than self-serve! We usually go to Firestone for all repairs but went to Militos last week when my daughter's car had major issues. They did a fantastic job and were $300 less than Firestone! And we found coupons on yelp that saved us $60. We highly recommend them!

I purchased a used luxury vehicle last week, and shortly there after I discovered a rank smell, I was assured that this could be taken care of without issue. That ended up not being the case, and they told me to have the car reupholstered. When I received the car back, the interior of the car was filthier than when I had taken it in with new oil smudges on the gray leather seats and the like. While they offered to address my concerns, I figured I'd cut my losses.

Just had them fix a tire with a nail in it at 745pm Sunday night (day before Memorial Day). They did a great job and were quick. My wife and her mother have been going here for years, and Milito's has always done a great job.

I feel like the job was extremely rushed and I didn't get what I paid for. I paid for a supreme carwash and they barely wiped my windows. After being so frustrated by the fact that I had to tell them to do everything that was already included. I gave up. Don't waste your time!

I can't say enough good things about Milito's. I have been going there for several years, and have gotten to know several of the employees, and everyone is always very friendly, and goes out of their way to help. They are fair with their pricing, and will give honest advice. From oil changes to repairs, all service I've received there has been outstanding, and I would recommend them to everyone.

Yesterday I had an issue with my motorcycle. The rear tire came off of the rim, and I was about 3/4 of a mile away from Milito's Mobil. I literally had to push the motorcycle (with a useless rear tire) down the street all the way to the station. The guys that were working in the service station saw me struggling my way up to the garage, and they all rushed out to help me. I was out of breath and sweating buckets. They dropped everything that they were doing, just to help me out. Within 5 minutes, they had the tire back on the rim (not an easy task mind you), filled with air, and I was on my bike, on my way home. They were absolute LIFESAVERS. I used to take all my vehicles to another service station up near my house in edgewater, but after the way these guys treated me, they are going to get a LOT more business from me. If there were 6 stars, I would give them that.

Milito's is a service station of the past - helpful service, full-service pumps, a great car wash and helpful staff. I wouldn't normally review a gas station - but Milito's goes above and beyond. I've had a tire patched here, a oil change - and I run a hostel in Lincoln Park and we have referred many guests to them for minor issues they're having during their road trip. Stay true, and don't sell out!

I have been here twice for two very different services but have had the best experience both times. My first visit was for a full interior and exterior cleaning. They completely transformed my interior and removed stains that had been there since before I owned the car. The exterior looked like I just pulled out of a car dealership with a brand new car. They were super professional and did the job they said and more. The second time I took my car here was for brake service. I suddenly heard grinding in my brakes so I took it here and they said that I needed all new brakes and new brake pads. Being a 20 something girl walking in by myself I figured I would get the typical treatment of being suckered into other services. Not only did they give me a super competitive price, but they even tossed in new wiper blades and a car wash for free. I needed to get another thing fixed with my car which would have been about $600 and I asked if I needed to get it done that same day and the service tech said the sooner the better but if it's a budgetary thing then I could wait a bit. I have never been told I don't need something or that I could wait before. I will continue to go here long after I leave the city. Amazing guys, extremely helpful, and not pushy at all. Thank you to the men of Milito's for restoring my faith in car service!!!

Militos was honest with me. I am not sure why the other reviews were so bad on here. I looked at two other garages to get pricing. Militos was the best price for a radiator fix. The other garages wanted to "bundle" the radiator and thermostat together. Replacing parts that didn't need to. They also cleaned up the engine for me which was wonderful and needed to be done. The charge was not bad at $48 and rescued my engine from eventually failing due to parking my car in the alley where rats can crawl in and create havoc. They were up front and said they may have to replace it. Turns out I only needed one part and saved about $200 dollars. Call first and ask them for an estimate. It is always good with any station to know up front first how much it will be. These people were clear, sympathetic and honest about their services. I would go back again and my car is running great now. Thank you!

Amazing! They left me speechless! Friday night, 1 hour to closing, I brought my car for an estimate, having left an other auto repair totally frustrated, mistrusting people there. The hood release mechanism failed and I was told there that I needed a new latch and a cable on top of a new battery and an alternator. After about 20 min Jose the manager and the mechanic Tom emerged telling me that it was done. They didn't give me an estimate, they fixed it! Apparently it didn't need a new latch... just a bit of TLC - a lube and adjustment. And the alternator is fine too. So in the other place they either tried to rip me off or they didn't know what they were doing, I will never know. They also charged the battery and all of it curtesy of the shop. Not something I would expect from anywhere today!

It has been over 3 years since I took my car here, but writing a GOOD review for another auto repair place reminded me of the horrible experience I had here. The original problem was that my car battery died because I had a bad alternator. Unfortunately, when the battery died, my roommate had the car downtown stalled in a lane of traffic on State St. In a panic we indiscriminately called for a towing service. We ended-up with Milito's. I requested that they tow my car to an auto repair closer to my apt., but he refused saying that he had a shop and would fix it. Feeling in a pinch, I agreed. They told me I had a bad alternator and that it would needed to be replaced. OK fine. The battery died, so I trust you. When I came to pay my bill the guy never thanked me for my business and seemed more preoccupied with talking smack to some high school kids buying chips and soda from his convenience store/gas station/auto repair office. Two weeks later my battery dies again. At the time I was out of town so I could not take the car back to Milito's. At the new auto repair shop, which was a Pep Boys, so they are reputable, they told me the alternator was bad. The guy basically sold me a junk part. Avoid taking your car here at all costs. This guy is a little slimeball and a cheat.
