Tiny’s Milk & Cookies Will Open a Second Location in River Oaks - Eater Houston

"Tiny’s beloved Milk & Cookies is expanding to a second location on the same block as Tiny Boxwood’s River Oaks home base. The new pastry-slinging digs will be located at 2809 Saint Street in a completely new walk-up window that was carved out of Tiny Boxwood’s parking lot, according to the restaurant’s manager. “We’re rearranging the parking lot to put Milk & Cookies there and actually gaining some parking spots as well,” says Tiny’s manager Courtney Goeres. The walk-up window will mirror the Milk & Cookies format in West U, however this parking lot version will be fancied up with a small lawn bordered by a white picket fence and maybe a couple of lawn chairs, lending a fun, “dreamy” feel, according to Goeres. As with its West U location, Milk & Cookies will serve up coffee, ice cream, pastries, and of course the eponymous chocolate chip cookies for which Tiny’s is so well known. Unlike the West U location, which has pastry-making facilities onsite, the goods for this walk-up window will be supplied by Tiny’s central commissary, a project that’s been a long time coming, according to Goeres. Once fully up-and-running, the commissary will supply items like sauces and pastries to all of Tiny’s locations. There’s no timeline set for Tiny’s new Milk & Cookies debut, as the company is focusing on the commissary currently, but expect it to arrive sometime in 2020. Stay tuned for updates on that and more." - Alaena Hostetter

I would usually frequent the Milk & Cookies location near Rice, but I found myself in this area, and I was killing time and decided to treat myself The location is picturesque and quaint. The cozy white building is incredibly inviting. Everything inside and outside is clean and orderly The staff is polite, friendly, and professional. The service is on point. You can see staff carefully preparing cookies and pastries. Each order was out within minutes For those who don't know, these spots are little oasis for specialty coffee, cookies, pastries, ice cream, etc. they are often in small shops and they have pretty much full transparency The coffees are delicious, and the pastries delightful. They rotate cookies, but they always have iced cookies and they're generally themed and really neat This location is somewhat tucked away, and there is some parking lot parking and street parking Some tips: No matter what you get, consider getting one of the ice cookies. There's often a line, especially on weekends, but there shouldn't be much of a wait Cheers!!

I’ve always heard great things about Tiny’s Milk & Cookies and finally decided to see what the hype was about — and it did not disappoint. One strawberry matcha latte and an insanely good everything-but-the-bagel croissant later, I was fully revived by another amazing local spot. There’s no indoor seating, but if you’re in the neighborhood and don’t mind a little fresh air, this is the place to be. Definitely recommending it to anyone who loves a good pastry and chill vibes.

I’m not going to lie. I was iffy on the concept of an outdoor cookie shop — in this Texas heat, I think not! In this instance, I was gladly proven wrong. My experience at Milk and Cookies really blew me away. The chocolate chip cookies was to die for, the ambiance Pinterest worthy, and not going to lie, there was something about ending my day outside with a warm cookie that made the experience magical. It was a 9/10 experience that will have me going back the next time I crave a sweet treat; the only thing that could have made it better was if my milk was a little bit more cold when served lol, and if they had a little bit more seating. Truly think they can either fit a picnic table or 1-2 more mini tables in the lawn area. Tip: I have a couple. First, as the name suggests, you can literally order a glass of milk alongside your cookies. I’d recommend you do this to tie the experience together. As well, I’d visit when the sun is going down. It honestly wasn’t too hot around 6pm but peak TX heat can be brutal. Be careful out there. Finally, Milk & Cookies can be a cute way to end your date with a little sweet treat, js!

The ice cream and cookies were phenomenal! Such a cute place. I will definitely be back! I tried the chocolate chip cookies and pineapple sorbet.

I like the coffee, the cookie was great, and the ice cream was pretty good, not too sweet. However I do think it’s important to display prices on the menu.

This is a cute little dessert shop selling delicious cookies and other pastries along with ice cream and coffee. I’ve been here a couple times prior to this visit but this my first time getting the chocolate chip cookies. My husband and I had the chocolate chip cookie and chocolate dairy free ice cream. The cookies were good (slightly above average) but I’ve had way better honestly. The chocolate ice cream is top notch though. Overall we enjoyed our little outing and dessert. Great place to come for dessert and night cap with a date. It is a small shop with only outdoor seating, so be mindful of that. I probably wouldn’t return for my own indulgence but I would return if I was gifting a box of cookies, pastries or a gift card to someone.

In the middle of Houston sits this wonderful oasis of happiness. If you are looking for a very family friendly outdoor establishment for remarkable croissants, coffee, or ice cream cookies, etc., this place is a must visit. It really is heaven. It is 100% outdoors and the parking is not great. That said, I recommend you stop by for a croissant and coffee of the grown-ups and cinnamon bun for the kiddos. You will be glad that you did.

Came around 12:30pm on Sept 20 and the female cashier was so rude to non white customers. She had a bored and dismissive attitude while taking our order while being much nicer and enthusiastic to others. We got a coffee and some cookies. The coffee was very watery and was comparable to fast food chain while the cookies were incredibly greasy and fell apart from the oiliness.
