Milk & Honey - Review - The Gulch - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Milk & Honey has had lines out the door since it opened in 2017. The prime location in the Gulch has been there even before the butterfly wing photo mural started drawing tourists like cut-off jeans to a Luke Bryan concert. And while the food and biscuits can still get the job done if you need an affordable brunch or meeting spot, there are way better places around town for both. Let’s start with the biscuits. They’re fluffy on the inside and made fresh each day, but they somehow manage to taste stale and astringent. They’re also hard on the outside, which can lend a helping hand when picking up a sandwich, but is otherwise unpleasant. The rest of the menu takes a “something for everyone” approach, good for the swarms of tourists using the white tables in the cafeteria-esque dining room to plan out their days, but in taste and presentation, it manages to be mediocre at best. The biggest abomination, however, comes in a small white dish and calls itself honey butter. It’s a melted pool rather than a spread, looks like a mixture of tar and gasoline—and tastes like it, too. It’s dropped off and left to coagulate awkwardly before our eyes. If you need a brunch midweek or a quick fix, it’s OK, especially if you snag a spot on the patio that encourages copious people-watching. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Food Rundown Milk & Honey Scone Their namesake scone sounds moist and delicately sweet. What arrives is overbaked with burned edges and a sweet icing drizzle that would be more at home on a cinnamon roll. photo credit: Ann Walczak Hot Chicken Biscuit There is no point in putting an egg on a sandwich if the yolk is broken before it arrives at the table. Using pieces of biscuit or chicken to attempt to scrape the already coagulated eggy goodness off our plate is a real breakfast buzz kill. The hot chicken is decent, with a nice heat level, though it could use some salt. The key here is to dip the sandwich or bites of it into the accompanying country gravy. It adds the seasoning you need and some wonderful richness. photo credit: Ann Walczak Dirty Benny Swapping out the hollandaise on a benedict for red eye gravy is about as southern as it gets. Sadly, this is extremely underwhelming. The gravy is nearly flavorless, the ham is just thin deli meat, and the english muffin is grilled, tasting way too charred. The gravy comes ladled all willy-nilly, too. At least you can break your yolks on this one. photo credit: Ann Walczak Burrata & Fig We love the idea of burrata with prosciutto, arugula, and fig jam on toast, but this is a plating conundrum. The prosciutto is stuck on the plate like it was plopped right out of a package, topped with crumbled blue cheese and fig jam, a ton of arugula, and the burrata. You have to cut it all up and layer it on the toast it’s served with. It’s clunky, unnecessary, and would benefit from being reimagined tartine style. We say pass. photo credit: Ann Walczak Hodgepodge Hash This big ole bowl of southwest is another example of Milk & Honey refusing to season their eggs. It’s also proof you can make anything, including the pebbles of sausage in this thing, taste good if you put enough chipotle crema on it. photo credit: Ann Walczak Burnt Sugar Latte We love a fancy coffee drink, but we still want to taste the coffee. This one comes in a less sweet option, which is quite pleasant and a great way to start the day. Dr. Feel Good Juice Milk & Honey offers fresh juice blends and they’re all good. We’re partial to this tasty version that adds strawberry to a pretty standard mixture of apple, beet, carrot, and ginger. There is some cayenne in here that burns the back of the throat, but some days require an extra kick." - Ann Walczak

7 Best Spots to Grab a Fresh Juice in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Milk & Honey started in Chattanooga and expanded to Nashville in 2015. This all-day dining restaurant, a concept of Monen Family Restaurant Group (Taco Mamacita, Clyde’s on Church) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it also has a pretty impressive selection of cold-pressed juices." - Kristy Lucero

Milk and Honey is such a great breakfast spot! The food was fresh, delicious, and came out quickly. The coffee was amazing—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. The staff was friendly and the place had a nice, welcoming vibe. Definitely one of my new favorite breakfast places when I’m in town!

Fantastic stop on our way out of Nashville. Our waiter was very attentive and not overwhelming. He had some great recommendations, including The Hot Mess, a different breakfast, avocado and bacon on a biscuit, and I got a piece of hot chicken on the side. My wife had the pistachio croissant, which was very flavorful, along with the mushroom omelet, which she enjoyed. I had the Milk And Honey latte hot, which was very tasty, and no sugar was needed, and my wife had the Dr Feel Good juice. You have to try the hot honey sauce on the table, it was the perfect flavor for all your food needs.

I went to the restaurant around 1 pm and ate by myself. Seating was not a problem and I opted to sit at the high bar outside. My server Naudia was perfect. She had great suggestions and checked on me often. She actually recommended the Hot Mess with the home fries and I LOVED it. So delicious, so flavorful, really checked all of the boxes for me. I also got my usual Iced Honey Lavender Latte. Loved everything about my visit.

This was my first time getting breakfast here, and I was not disappointed! My latte was warm and creamy, and my omelette was delicious. The sourdough toast was good too, and my mom enjoyed the biscuit and ham and cheddar omelette. We love how cozy the place looks, and the service is great. We even bought a little decorative plate afterwards.

Milk & Honey Gulch is clearly a local favorite, we waited about an hour for a table, and the line didn’t let up the whole time. Once seated, though, the experience moved quickly. The space itself is beautifully styled with clean, modern aesthetics and a well-designed logo that gives the place a contemporary charm without trying too hard. 🍽️ Food & Drinks I ordered the Hot Mess Biscuit Sandwich, and it absolutely delivered. The biscuits were soft and not overly dry, perfectly holding together the layers of brisket, bacon, avocado, egg, pickled onion, and chipotle mayo. The flavors worked together beautifully bold but balanced, and surprisingly light for such a stacked breakfast. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality Despite how busy it was, our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Once we were seated, our food came out quickly and the overall service felt smooth and efficient. 💡 Unique Selling Point What sets Milk & Honey Gulch apart is the combination of fresh, flavorful breakfast offerings and a stylish yet cozy setting. It’s clear they’ve built a strong following and once you’ve tasted that sandwich, it’s easy to see why.

We googled, glad we did! Found this popular brunch house. I came for just a coffee but we ended up enjoying the place so much we had breakfast cocktails and brunch! So good. Highly recommend checking out! Oh it’s Red Friday and we are KC Chiefs Fans!!!!

Great service and we really enjoyed the food. We got the hodgepodge hash and hot chicken biscuit, both were great and have good flavour. The hodgepodge hash was delicious and I enjoyed the crispy fried chicken. The biscuit was pretty good, soft in the middle. The milk and honey latte was nice, overall a good experience and would be back.

If you're looking for a great spot in Nashville with fantastic coffee, you have to check out Milk & Honey in The Gulch! 🍯☕️ The vibe is absolutely perfect—it's a busy, trendy place with a cool bar setup and a super energetic feel. ✨ And let's talk about the coffee! The cortado is incredible, seriously one of the best around. It's rich, smooth, and has that perfect balance that coffee lovers appreciate. 🤌 The food is just as amazing. 😋 The omelets are fresh and delicious, and the chicken biscuit is an absolute must-try. Everything tastes amazing, making it the perfect place for a delicious and fun brunch. 🍳🥓

Yelp
Absolutely a stop if you love a good breakfast!! Fantastic menu, great atmosphere and friendly staff. They were beyond busy but accommodating, offered beverages while we waited. We had a variety of breakfasts from the menu, all delicious. Also we had some menu restrictions and the staff accordingly set us up. Black and white vintage vibe in the decor and a happy buzz surrounding us. Definitely on my list to return next time we're in Nashville, maybe lunch next time

Yelp
This is a breakfast spot that kept hearing we had to try. When we arrived we were told it would be about a 55 min wait. We grabbed a coffee and walked around and were sat in about 25 minutes. We got a mimosa which in my opinion it's one the best mimosas as the juice is fresh made and the flavor is different. The portions of food are very big and you can deff share a dish but we wanted to try different things. The hot chicken sandwich was very good big buttery biscuit with a giant piece of chicken. The chicken wasn't super dry and it was crispy it is pretty spicy but I like it. The hodgepodge has was good my only complaint is two eggs would be a good balance to all the potatoes and veggies. The chipotle crema add a nice hint of spice and the pickled onions add a good twist. The service was ok took a long time to get the food and to get our check to leave. I would deff come back to try other items some of the adult beverages looked good. It is very busy so it's busy and loud. There is a lot of parking around so it was easy to find a spot to park at.

Yelp
Milk & Honey is a very popular brunch spot near downtown Nashville. It is conveniently located in the Gulch, which is an upscale neighborhood with a lot of shopping and dining. It gets really packed on the weekends so I would recommend arriving early as they also do not take reservations (it is first come first serve). There is indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a coffee shop connected to the restaurant. Our server was really friendly but the service was a bit slow for a Sunday afternoon, likely due to the popularity of this place. We got the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit with French Fries, Hot Mess Biscuit, and Mimosa Bottle. The Mimosa Bottle was a good steal as you get a whole champagne bottle along with three choices of juice. We chose Strawberry Orange, Ruby Red Grapefruit, and Pineapple as our juices. I think Strawberry Orange tasted the best with the champagne. We definitely felt tipsy after finishing the bottle. The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit was pretty good but the biscuit was a bit too flaky for me. Everything fell apart when I tried to take a bite. My boyfriend liked the Hot Mess Biscuit and it was definitely a hot mess trying to eat it. Overall, I think that this place is overrated, especially with the crazy wait times on the weekends. I probably would not come here again as brunch is often a hit or miss for me, but I am sure for others that it would be fun to come here due to how well-known this spot is for tourists.

Yelp
Milk & Honey served up a great meal. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside--absolutely delicious. The gravy could have used a touch more salt, but it was easy to adjust to taste. The home fries were flavorful and satisfying. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Very well done. Lot's of home made items. Some sauces and offerings were a little sweet for my taste, such as their hot sauce and 'Milk & Honey" latte. I had the Hot Mess and liked it. I would come again. Bathrooms were unisex and very clean. Inside was quite noisy, but the patio was nice and fit our style better. Brandon was outlet server. Casual and attentive, and gave some good advice on the menu.

Yelp
This place is pretty hot so likely does not need my review but I'll give it anyway. Great vibe great servers and food really creative and yummy. Who goes into a place with phenomenal biscuits and orders a grain bowl? Well I did and I have to rave about it. Fresh ingredients and the vinaigrette was so delicious.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick coffee to go. There was no line but the restaurant was super busy for a Tuesday morning. Coffee was good, and came out quickly. The cashier wasn't super friendly :(

Yelp
The vibe was very comfy cool. The food was good and what you would expect for a breakfast place. Cute decor. Service was ok. Worth a try.

Yelp
We went here for breakfast by accident as my husband thought it was biscuit love. Regardless, we thought it was pretty good despite being a restaurant chain. I ordered the hot mess and a hot tea. My husband ordered the homemade croissant sandwich and coffee. The tea was in a custom satchel bag and the loose tea looked like boutique tea which was a pleasant surprise

Yelp
This spot is definitely popular, so be prepared for long lines, especially on weekends when it's full of tourists. I was lucky to get in, and the food was good with the matcha being a standout. Personally, I wouldn't wait hours for a table, but if you can go during off-peak times, it's worth a visit.

Yelp
The last time I visited Nashville, my wife and I had a great breakfast at Milk & Honey. Although the food and service was top notch, I remembered how busy the place was and how long it took to get a table So last Friday, my daughter and I head to Milk & Honey for a late breakfast. When we arrived, there was a small crowd waiting for tables, but then the hostess said it was a 90-minute wait. Fortunately, I saw two seats at the bar and we got seated in about 20 seconds. I started with a large Salted Caramel Latte and it got my engine revving! For my meal, the classic Sausage & Peppers Omelet and Home Fries was filling and oh so tasty. And that Honey Hot Sauce was delish! Madi, who is a jack of all trades, bartender and server, made us feel like friends and took good care of us.

Yelp
When you are vacationing with little ones, going out to brunch isn't always an option. I had to try Milk & Honey, so I placed an online order and headed over. I had a few minutes to spare while I waited for my food, so I wondered around their cafe and shop area. I would love to come back for thumbprint cookies and a latte! I was continuing my search for the best Nashville hot, so I ordered the Hot Chicken Biscuit. The flaky biscuit, the side of gravy, the crispy chicken - I was in heaven.
google avatar

Yelp
Not my first time to this spot in the Gulch and won't be my last! I think this place is worth the line but make a reservation if you can. Their buttermilk biscuit is amazing and I think the mimosa pitcher is a good deal. The vibes are immaculate but if you sit outside prepare for a 1:1 ratio of people to tiny birds. They are cute and for the most part not disruptive. There was also a cute dog sitting out there when we visited.
google avatar

Miosotis C.

Yelp
Super cute place for breakfast and brunch with creative drinks and freshly pressed juices. Coffee and Southern takes on breakfast favorites. Get there early because the wait is long. We waited 90 min for a table for 2. Arrived at 10:30 am. Ordered the Hodgepodge and Messy Benny, Lattes can't recall the name of the juice.
google avatar

Robert R.

Yelp
Great food and drinks but be sure to arrive early because this place can get a wait. We ended up waiting 30mins for a table but once sat food was quick and server was amazing
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely F*&^ing incredible! Do yourself a favor when visiting Nashville don't miss out on this spot. The food was out of this world, portion sizes were massive (come hungry, or plan on leftovers!), and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. On top of that, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer just to soak it all in. Nashville has a lot of great food options, but this one really stands out easily one of the highlights of our trip

Yelp
Had a religious experience at Milk and Honey... No wonder there's a line out the door. Literally said a prayer of gratitude on my walk back to my hotel. The vegan curry cauliflower dish was the best curry I've ever had in my life. I ordered it for breakfast, and for something that tastes so freaking amazing, I also feel like it was healthier than the average American breakfast. Service was super efficient and friendly, without feeling rushed. I was in a hurry, so I actually really appreciated how quickly the waiter got the bill and moved things along. I was really touched that the manager came over to explain their kitchen process and verify that my meal was totally vegan, not only dairy free. She even shared that their hot honey sauce on the table was dairy-free, should I wish to add it. I really appreciated their extra care, even though I hadn't requested to speak with the manager. Please note that the Matcha latte contains vanilla syrup, which was delicious... But a surprise for me. Maybe it's listed on the menu and I just missed it. I was surrounded by families, which was a good vibe on a Sunday morning. They also have a bar seating area if that's not your Sunday vibe.
google avatar

Joanne T.

Yelp
Second time at this location - not impressed. Always wonder why there a line ... really not worth any hype. The food wasn't great the first time around. I held off on leaving a review, in hopes of it being "a bad day for them". Now eating there a second time, the food was terrible. The sandwich I ordered was so oily, it fell apart due to grease. The ham in the sandwich was discolored as well. The only good part of the order was the coffee. If prob come back for the coffee, but I'd skip the food. Staff is super nice though and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Not only do they use Stumptown Coffee, they also have a huge selection of delicious, fresh-baked pasties to go along with it. We didn't wait in line for brunch but I did manage to grab a Burnt Sugar Americano w/cream and an apple cinnamon pop-tart. They were delicious and I will be back for brunch in the future!
google avatar

Yelp
Before we left Nashville I knew I wanted to try Milk and Honey. When we went to Nashville in 2023 we were not able to eat here as we didn't have time. This morning I made sure we had time to eat here before leaving. We were not disappointed. Service was quick and the food was great. Just what we needed to fuel our system before our long drive back home.

Yelp
While in town for the AC/DC concert, stopped here for brunch. Very quaint place. We loved being able to order coffee while we waited. We ordered mimosas to share. All of our food was delicious and served hot! Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! Huge menu with plenty of options. I opted for one of their breakfast biscuits, the farmhouse, which was delicious and came with a side of home fries. It came out super fast. Honestly this was so good I'd have a hard time going back and ordering something different. They also have a standalone coffee bar with take away pastries on both sweet and savory spectrums. Thanks Milk & Honey for a delicious breakfast!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was hard to get in to! Luckily found seats at the bar but we didn't think that at 1 o'clock in the afternoon we'd have trouble finding a breakfast spot. Then again it was a Friday during lunch.. Anyway! Plenty of brunch options for the breakfast lover, And for those that don't feel like they're in the breakfast mood. bottle specials, drinks on tap, slushy ready to go. Service was quick and friendly. Food Portions were decent. I didn't love the food but it definitely got the job done. It could also be that I orders one of the breakfast sandwiches and not one of their breakfast specials. I would definitely try it again and grab something new on the menu. I would highly recommend to make a reservation if you're more than two people.
google avatar

Samveda R.

Yelp
I got the vegan burrito. It tasted decent (esp with the hot honey) but much much too small of a quantity for the price. I was still hungry after eating it. I wish the dishes came with both fruits and potatoes, especially for vegan/vegetarian to be filling. My friend got hers with tofu scramble, maybe I'll try that one next time. There is free 1 hr parking across the street. Wait wasn't too bad for 4 people, only about 30 mins. They text you/call you when the table is ready so you can explore the Gulch while you wait.

Yelp
Great place to get breakfast or brunch! The service was fast and friendly. It gets busy here so if you don't want to wait, I recommend going early. It opens at 6am! Ok, that's a bit early. The food was delicious. We got the Alabama pork biscuit and Cali chicken bowl. The biscuit was so buttery and the pork was perfectly seasoned. If you like tea, they have really great teas. They have a lot of different options so there is something for everyone here.
google avatar

Yelp
Me and wife stopped in here for breakfast since reviews seemed good. The restaurant has a nice ambiance to it. We felt very comfortable. The staff were nice and on top of things pretty good even though this place does get busy. I got the egg bacon and cheese biscuit with the home fries and wife got a bagel. We both got coffees as well. The coffee here is good. We both really liked it. My sandwich and home fries were fantastic. One of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had. The bagel was ok. To be honest I expected a little more for the bagel. All in all great place for a breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee.

Yelp
This food is well worth the long wait. While the restaurant is incredibly busy bc of its popularity, the staff did not let it get to them everyone had smiles on and stayed on their toes. Kudos y'all! Ok so Brunch shots are a great idea for the morning(ish) after a late night dancing and drinking at all the honky tonks, as was the espresso martinis, much needed "hair of the dog". This place is so cute! They have lots of adorable merch for sale and the cutest decor. The bar was very well laid out and absolutely beautiful. The food: The hot mess chicken sandwich was SO SPICY, I love spicy but this was hot even for me. So beware! The poutine was quite original and delicious. Our friends all loved what they got as well, out of the 4 of us none of us left anything on our plates, so obviously it was fantastic. I highly recommend it, but prepare to put your name in and go walk around for a bit. The wait was over an hour. It was so it though. 10/10

Yelp
Milk & Honey was one of several places I had bookmarked to try for breakfast while in Nashville. I head nothing but positive things about the place, and since I'm a fan of sitting for breakfast when traveling it pretty much sealed the deal for me to go. I had heard the wait was crazy for breakfast here, and indeed when I was in the area earlier in my trip and passed M&H by I noticed a crowd outside waiting to get in. I had planned to have breakfast here the morning I was set to come home, so I decided to get there shortly after their opening at 6am. This worked out great for two reasons: I was able to walk right in and get a table, and during my walk to the restaurant I got great shots of Broadway with no crowds. M&H is pretty spacious - they have a decently sized indoor dining room with a semi-open kitchen, as well as a front patio with more seating. Decor is casual - it has a slightly bright color scheme with white walls and clean lines. After being seated I started browsing the menu - they have a large selection of breakfast items with a variety of egg dishes, biscuits, and other carbs. I decided to start with their buttermilk biscuits - these were larger than average and drizzled in honey (or some honey-esque sauce). They were pretty good, though they were more dense than I expected - I'm used to biscuits being a smidge fluffier. For my main dish I got the sausage and peppers omelette; again, this was pretty good and they did not skimp on the fillings which I appreciated - the omelette was flatter than the average omelette I've had, so I wouldn't expect fluffy ones here. The dish also came with home fries which were also good - as a whole, the flavors of everything I had were great. I could tell high quality ingredients were used. Service was great - my server was super friendly and even gave me a to-go cup for my last cup of coffee. Overall, I enjoyed Milk & Honey - it wasn't my favorite breakfast spot in Nashville, but they serve quality food and I would definitely want to return the next time I'm in the city.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Surprised and saddened... Maybe it was an off day...? Off time...? Don't worry, we will give you another chance and hope to improve and update this review. So where do I start... The hostess was friendly and welcoming, which was a good start. She said the wait time was going to be around 45 minutes to 1.1 hours. An hour later, we got the text, thank you. BTW, we signed up for the first available table, doesn't matter indoors or outdoors. We got a fairly unhappy waitress... At first, we thought she was just direct, or maybe tired. We even tried to crack a few jokes to lighten up the mood, but failed. After, she eventually took table behind us's order, even thought they arrived later; then our order, as we waited patiently. Okay, 1 hour wait to be seated, made to order fresh, we are patient. Then the couple behind us got their food. Then they finished their food by the time we got ours. I checked to see if they ordered something simple? Nope, similar order to ours. When our food came, the runner rudely told me to take the plate off her hands as it was too heavy... Okay... Well you only had two orders that you were carrying, one for each hand??? I was so confused. Never experienced a waitress basically yell at us to take the plate from her hand. Because we had outdoor seating, it just happened to be next to the public garbage can on the sidewalk on the other side of the window. We felt so sorry/bad for the couple across from us as they got most of the flies, wasps, bees, birds, etc. It was so bad that I believe management came and started pulling down all the shades which did improve the situation. The real solution is to move the public garbage can or clean it. Keep the shades in this area closed. Power wash your floors (outdoor seating on the sidewalk). Okay, now for the food: Due to the long wait, we started at their "to-go" cafe and my daughter got a Chai and the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both were good. Fried Chicken Biscuit - Maybe because we have been eating so many GOOD fried chicken since we have been out here, see other reviews, this entree (one of their better sellers) did not seem to have much flavor...? And take a look at the gravy for the biscuit...? Again, not much flavor. We also felt the biscuit was dry, so the gravy was much needed. Farmhouse Biscuit - My favorite of the three entrees. Good blend of all the ingredients. Turkey Avocado - This was my second favorite. But it's hard to do wrong as it is a pretty basic dish. Home Fries - Liked the fry, but did this sit out for a while...? Many, if not most of the pieces were "soft." Lost its crisp. Berries - Fresh and good. Arugula Side Salad for $2 more - This was also good and fresh. Atmosphere - Crazy successful business, congrats. Small for the sales volume that they do, congrats again. Indoor, outdoor, table, and bar seating. 4 single stall bathrooms which also seemed to always have a line. We went back to the hotel, lol. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 3pm. Service - 1 star today. See above. Price - $66 + more generous tip than deserved. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2008 with all your 7 different brands and 12 locations. See website for all their other brands.

Yelp
We liked going to another restaurant down the street (see my other review of Nashville restaurants) but the line was too long and we decided to try this place because our niece tried it and liked the food. The server was very good and made several good recommendations. We ordered Bloody Mary's but the restaurant was out of Bloody Mary mix and apparently nobody knew how to make it from tomato juice. Being that they have a full bar. Maybe the restaurant should make sure they have enough stock on hand especially for the weekend. Just saying. Anyways, we started with a whipped ricotta cheese spread with some sourdough bread. OMG, this was very good! Add a drizzle of the honey and wow! Delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffles and if I'm being honest, not the best or even close to what you would expect. The chicken was a small piece and dry and the waffles were just ok. The biscuits and gravy were also not good. The gravy was very thick and floury tasting. The biscuit was cold and hard. Lisa had the sausage and peppers omelette and was very satisfied. Again, I'm not sure about parking. We walked from our hotel. It seems like a very popular spot and the restaurant was quite busy. Oh, remember what I said about the Bloody Mary's? Our server comped us $10 for the inconvenience. I didn't say anything and he just did it. That's great service. Even though there are some positives about this place, I think I will wait in line at the other restaurant next time. Thank you

Yelp
Great breakfast spot in the Gulch area in Nashville. We went there to try their biscuit sandwiches. They were tasty and beyond filling with the hearty biscuit. It comes with a side of fruit or what the call home fries which is seasoned cubed potatoes which were ver good. They also had fun breakfast shots but it was too early in the am to try any. Coffee comes in a large cup.

Yelp
Walking in straight was a nice vibe, sat on the high table with my group and it was a good time. Enjoyed the food and coffee, had a hash bowl and cappucino. Both were great. Would def come back

Yelp
Food, Service, Ambiance. Worth the wait, plus service was excellent as well as our food choices Fig & prosciutto Barbara to start along with Ruby Red mimosa. Followed by Hodgepodge Hash and Hot chicken biscuit and a side waffle. Never had this many carbs at once and moving forward liked the biscuit more than waffle for next time

Yelp
The food was amazing. One of the best spicy chicken and egg biscuits i've ever had. The Burnt sugar latte was amazing, I recommend that it's ordered as a hot latte. Cristina was an amazing waitress and made the overall experience wonderful. Will definitely get breakfast here again.

Yelp
This food was so good the latte was great though I wish it had a stronger Nutella flavor. The staff was super helpful and nice. There's a few brunch places in the area but I would choose milk and honey for sure.

Yelp
Milk & Honey Gulch is clearly a local favorite, we waited about an hour for a table, and the line didn't let up the whole time. Once seated, though, the experience moved quickly. The space itself is beautifully styled with clean, modern aesthetics and a well-designed logo that gives the place a contemporary charm without trying too hard. Food & Drinks I ordered the Hot Mess Biscuit Sandwich, and it absolutely delivered. The biscuits were soft and not overly dry, perfectly holding together the layers of brisket, bacon, avocado, egg, pickled onion, and chipotle mayo. The flavors worked together beautifully bold but balanced, and surprisingly light for such a stacked breakfast. ‍ Service & Hospitality Despite how busy it was, our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Once we were seated, our food came out quickly and the overall service felt smooth and efficient. Unique Selling Point What sets Milk & Honey Gulch apart is the combination of fresh, flavorful breakfast offerings and a stylish yet cozy setting. It's clear they've built a strong following and once you've tasted that sandwich, it's easy to see why.

Yelp
Milk and Honey: A Must-Visit Breakfast Spot in Nashville During my recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee, I stumbled upon Milk and Honey, a cozy restaurant located conveniently near my hotel. With numerous glowing reviews and a reputation for its extensive menu, I knew I had to give it a try. Although the restaurant was bustling with activity and the wait for a table exceeded an hour, the team accommodated our schedule with a to-go option, preparing our order in just 20-25 minutes. After poring over their expansive menu of treats, light bites, pastries, and beverages, I decided on a latte and their signature Hot Mess breakfast sandwich. Let me just say - the name doesn't lie! The sandwich was a delightful explosion of flavors, featuring perfectly seasoned ingredients and a beautifully cooked sunny-side egg that added richness to every bite. It was indeed messy, but every crumb was worth it. The accompanying house potatoes were equally impressive, seasoned to perfection and utterly irresistible. What stood out beyond the food was the excellent service. Despite the crowd, the staff remained attentive, efficient, and welcoming, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Milk and Honey exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or simply looking for a great spot to grab a latte, this restaurant delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. Don't miss it! I loved milk and honey so much that I ate here for branch two days in a row!! Now that speaks volumes about a restaurant!!

Yelp
I'm afraid that I don't get the hype. Milk & Honey is a popular breakfast/brunch restaurant & coffee counter in the Gulch. Arriving at 9:45 on a Monday, we had a 45 minute wait, which wasn't a problem since they took our phone number and we were able to walk around the neighborhood while we waited. The food was fine. I ordered an omelette that was billed as a "mushroom" omelette, but had far more peppers than mushrooms. It was a little pathetic-looking, served with choice of potatoes or fruit. The omelette was probably a 2.5 star order. My husband had the hash, which was more delicious than mine - Probably 3.5-4 stars. I ordered a side of toast for $5, which came with jelly and a single pad of butter which again felt kind of stingy. My coffee was served with 3 disposable cups of half-and-half, and I was admitted disappointed that I didn't get a little carafe of cream with my $4 cup of coffee. Service was OK and I only got a coffee refill when I asked our server when she only re-appeared once after taking our order. In short, there are better breakfast/brunch spots in the area and I will not be returning.

Yelp
We stayed overnight in Nashville, on our way from Virginia to Arkansas and decided to grab breakfast here, on our way out of town. I got the ham and cheese omelet and added mushrooms and my wife ordered the big kids breakfast and we ordered a cinnamon roll to share. The food all came out great and the customer service was amazballs. Every single person was friendly and helpful, from the moment we stepped through the doors.

Yelp
They are very farmhouse industrial and I love the fact that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The servers are always friendly and energetic. They have quite a large menu. Appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, and sides. A great place to brunch. Very clean, too. I highly recommend the Shakshuka.

Yelp
Always a great spot to eat. Great menu for the kids, portion sizes are big, pretty inside, and good selection of drinks. Our waiter was very knowledge of the menu and options for the kids. A great spot in the Gulch.

Yelp
Came on a weekday, which automatically had less people and let us be seated immediately. I ordered the veggie burrito made vegan. It was good, thought it dripped quite a bit from the moisture of the veggies. The matcha scone, which is vegan, tasted excessively dry and like it had too much baking soda--would not order again. My friends enjoyed their food. We sat outside, which was okay. Note: coming on a weekend day would probably entail a two hour wait. No reservations are taken. Takeout is possible if you really want your food quick.

Yelp
Madi was excellent with her counter service. This was a cute spot I'd been wanting to try for a while. However, I can't say that the food is worth the 90 minutes-2 hour wait that was quoted for an actual table late Sunday morning. Counter service is first come first serve and that was a pretty short wait, thankfully. It was up to par for a 10 minute wait time. The food was good. Potatoes got a little too dark in the fryer, but the mushroom omelette was good. Madi made a good shirley temple. I'd go back, but probably during the week. They open pretty early.

Yelp
Group of 8- got seated within about 55 min of putting our name in which wasn't a bad wait for our size. Our group ordered: hodgepodge hash, fried chicken biscuit, Mr. croissant, shakshuka, and chicken & waffles. Everyone enjoyed their meals- definitely hit the spot. Warning: the hot chicken biscuit is extremely spicy but has good flavor. Our server was great- answered questions well and made good recommendations.

Yelp
Be prepared to wait! Luckily it's a good area to walk around in and they'll text when your table is ready. Farmhouse style dining room and nice little patio area. Pretty good service. Food is mostly good but you can tell it suffers when they're busy. Undercooked waffle, overcooked chicken, etc. Good selection of beverages.

Yelp
Milk & Honey is the best brunch place in downtown Nashville with adorable vibes and the best service! From the delicious Vanilla Bean latte to the yummy hot mess sandwich you leave satisfied! The flavors from the pepper-jam, chipotle sauce, avocado mixed perfectly well! Don't forget to take home a bottle of their delicious hot sauce!

Yelp
This is one of the top spots for breakfast or brunch in Nashville. It's always a long wait to get a table but trust me, it's worth it. They partner with local farms in the area to source their ingredients and the food is both unique and reliably delicious. Because it's busy the dining room is usually pretty noisy with all of the chatter, so if you're looking for a place for a quiet conversation, this isn't the spot for that.
