This place exceeded my expectations!!! I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time and finally got the chance on a warm sunny New York City day. We waited less than five minutes (on a Monday afternoon) and we got a slice of the crack pie and I got the cereal milk soft serve with crunch. It was absolute heaven. I savored every bite so it would last and I ended up craving more the rest of the day!!! I love that it’s ice cream that doesn’t taste very sweet. It’s more of a creamy, salty, buttery, crunchy sensation rather than a super sweet one. So be prepared for that. Their other creations might be a little sweeter, but if you’re looking for the original, it isn’t overly sweet. It is perfect. We have to make another trip before we leave back home!

First time I tried them, I wasn’t too impressed with the ice cream but they’ve redeemed themselves with their b’day (cake ball) truffles. The gluten free option is just as tasty as the straight up glutinous version. Yum! Check them out!

Not worth your time and money. Was really excited to try this place and got the cereal milk soft serve, cinnamon soft serve, compost cookie and cornflake chocolate chip marshmallow cookie. Found everything to be lacking in flavor and ridiculously overpriced. Cereal milk is nothing to shout home about, its just sweetened milk with hints of cereal flavor - nothing you can't get at home from soaking special K in milk. Cinnamon soft serve is well.. Vanilla soft serve with cinnamon powder.. Also, for the price you pay, it seems ridiculous that the cookies are prepackaged and not served fresh. Cookies were kinda boring and I ended up breaking them into pieces as toppings for the even more boring soft serve to make both a more appetizing. Seriously overrated -.- Please spend your money at other bakeries that actually put in effort into their creations.

I wanted to like this more, but it was somewhat disappointing. My boyfriend saw the Milk Bar featured on the Food Network or the Travel Channel and kept telling me I should go there. So I finally tried it. I got the milk bar pie and compost cookie. Both were fine, but not fantastic. My friend got the bday cake shake that I liked better but it was pretty expensive for the size.

We had been really looking forward to visiting a Milk Bar on our NYC visit but this turned out to be a colossal disappointment. First off, this is basically a carry-out-only-window location so don’t plan on grabbing some sweets/coffee and hanging around afterwards. Secondly, while the crack pie was good, everything we got including that, were prepackaged and not fresh at all. Last but not the least, we found what looked like a strand of hair in one of the B’Day Truffles (see attached pic). Overall, it was a definite waste of time and money and a place I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Such a small cute little place! I don't know why it's so poorly rated :( The staff are(is?) kind and the sweets are really good! Most seem to have a savory aspect to complement the sweet

A hole in the wall shop, but notorious for it's crack pie and cupcakes. Has a cult like following. I am giving it a four star, tried their pie and loved it. But when other more sophisticated pie eaters had the crack pie, they were like it's okay.

Had the cereal soft serve sprinkled with cereal flakes. Not the best ice cream I've had, but worth a visit.
